RAE'S P.O.V. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I slid my phone back into my pocket and bent over to catch my breath. I've been hiking through the empty woods for about three hours without finding any clues. By the looks of it, they managed to get most of the fire put out. All the smoke came from the trees smoldering, so it was still smokier than hell.
"Well, a lot of things could be smokier than Hell..." I muttered to myself as I dug through my backpack and pulled out a nearly empty water bottle. I sighed and downed the rest of it in one swallow. I probably should've packed more water, but I didn't think I would be wandering around aimlessly for as long as I have. I looked around me and took in the scenery.
Everything was so green. The small town of Columbus was below me, shadowed in smoke. The air, despite all the fire, was actually cool, making me glad I had my jacket. Everything around me was quiet, save for a few fluttering birds, and calm. It was different.
"There you are." A voice said behind me. A very familiar voice. I slowly turned to find Leo standing on a smaller hill above me. He wasn't looking directly at me, he was more looking over me and down into the town.
"Examining your work?" I asked. I blinked, and he was right beside me. I put a hand on my blade as I studied him for a moment. He looked cleaner. His hair wasn't greasy, his skin wasn't covered in dirt or whatever else. His clothes were hole-less, and his long leather jacket flapped in the wind as he spoke.
"I didn't do this, Little Winchester, but I know who did. You have to warn your father."
"About what?"
"This is Cain's doing." I sucked in a breath. "I don't know what he was after, but he killed three people in this town alone. And he's on the move."
"To where?"
"No idea. Like I said before, I don't know his motives."
"Why are you helping me?" He turned towards me and shook his head.
"I am not your enemy." I rolled my eyes.
"I swear if your about to ask me to join you, I'm going to stab you." He shook his head again and walked a couple steps forward.
"No, that's not why I'm here." He went quiet for a moment. My conversation about Leo with Metatron echoed through my head. I stared at Leo's back. Please, please, please don't mention anything about feelings...I thought to myself.
"I know you don't understand just what happened back in your time, but I do. And I didn't see the whole picture then, but I see it now, and you are needed alive."
"What happens then?"
"That, I cannot tell you. But you need to focus at the task at hand. Your brother and uncle need you right now. I'm sending you back to them." He reached out for me, but I batted his hand away.
"You can't just say something like that then try to send me away, Leo." He froze.
"How do you know my name?"
"I spoke with Metatron." This time, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me forward until our faces were mere inches apart.
"Metatron, huh?" He growled. "Tell me, Little Winchester, do you trust him? Because even though I am forbidden to speak of anything from your time, I can tell you he is the reason it all started." My insides turned cold. Metatron was the reason behind the attack? What was he attempting to do?
"Look, I didn't tell him anything important-"
"Oh I'm sure you didn't. I can see it in your eyes. You wanted answers, Rae, and you believed he had them." I opened my mouth to speak, but couldn't. He was absolutely right. I had trusted Metatron, and now he knew my biggest secret.
"So I've doomed myself, then..."
"Not while I'm around." My eyes widened at is words.
"What do you-"
"Not now. Your family is in grave danger. I must bring you back to them." He reached up and touched my forehead. A sudden feeling of sinking and falling forward rushed over my body as I was thrusted into another place. I landed in a random yard with Leo nowhere to be seen. A scream came from the house in front of me and, without really thinking about it, I ran up to it and busted in.

I panted as I slid down the wall. The old wizard cackled menacingly as he stared down Charlie.
"You can't kill me." He bellowed. "I'm the Wizard of Oz!" He waved his hand towards me as pain shot through my body. I collapsed, trying to fight back a scream. Charlie's eyes widened as she looked at me, then back to the wizard. The old man, the good side of the Wizard, stood frozen by the wizard's power. If we didn't do something soon...
Charlie let out a scream and clutched her arm. My insides froze, knowing that Dean was out chasing the Evil Charlie. Did he manage to find her? How much damage was he doing? Would he kill her? Charlie doubled over, holding her stomach. This was all an absolute disaster. The wizard let out another laugh as the dread settled over me.
Then all of a sudden, Rae was here. She busted out from behind Charlie and froze temporarily, taking in the scene around her. Her eyes landed on me.
"Rae! Gun!" I managed to yell out, looking at the gun laying next to Charlie. She ducked and rolled, dodging a shot by the Wizard, and swept the gun into her hands.
"Which one?" She yelled, loading the gun.
"Me! Shoot me!" The old man yelled. Rae hesitated, looking back at me.
"No... We couldn't..." Charlie whispered. She doubled over again and went still. Rae backed up and looked at the old man.
"You don't have time! It's the only way to stop the Wizard and reverse the curse! Shoot me, and make it count, little girl!" Rae shook her head, but took aim at the old man. Closing her eyes, she pulled the trigger. The Wizard let out a scream as the old man slid to the ground. Charlie looked on in horror as Rae slowly put the gun down. The pain in my body slowly eased up, and I took a deep breath in.
"For Oz..." The old man whispered. Rae crouched down next to him and nodded.
"For Oz." She sat next to the old man for a moment before closing her eyes and bowing her head. My legs shook as I attempted to stand upright.
"What's happening? And where's Dean?"
"I don't know. I believe he's outside. Rae, find the key. It's a golden, weird looking thing." Rae nodded and looked around. I hurried over to Charlie and, after making sure she was still breathing, picked her up. I turned around to find Rae holding the key. She held it up for me to look at.
"Is this it?"
"Yes. Now keep that on you and go outside. We have to stop Dean." Rae nodded and rushed out the door with me and Charlie behind her. Rae's head snapped to the right. I looked to find Dean taking another swing at Evil Charlie.
"There's two?" Rae asked, confused. I ignored her.
"Dean! DEAN! That's enough!" Dean halted before turning and looking at us. He stopped completely when he saw Good Charlie laying in my arms. Rae moved forward and looked over Evil Charlie. I set the Charlies next to each other and held out a hand to Rae. She placed the key into it. I placed the key in between the two and took a step back as the two Charlies morphed into one.
"I still don't get what's happening..." Rae muttered. I shook my head and scooped up Charlie once more.
"I'll explain at the Base. Go get in the Impala." Rae frowned. She glanced over at Dean, who was staring at the ground where Charlie was laying, and walked over to him. She looped an arm around him and whispered,
"C'mon. Let's go back to the Base." He let her lead him to the Impala, where we all piled in and drove until we were home.

I sat at the table, swinging my legs off the side of the chair I was in. I took in all of the last couple of days' events as I sipped my coffee. Dean sat across from me, staring down the table as he held his coffee in his hands. Neither of us spoke, just waited for Sam and Charlie to come into the room. After too many seconds of silence, I finally spoke up. Sitting up properly, I flashed Dean a weak smile.
"Some week, huh?" Dean looked up from his table staring and shrugged. I watched him glance down at the Mark of his arm and sigh. It was silent again. I rolled my shoulders and went back to slouching in my chair.
"We have to get rid of the Mark..." Dean muttered.
"And we will!" A new, much chipper voice said. Dean looked over as Charlie, with Sam behind her, bounced into the room. She smiled at Dean, then smiled at me. Neither of us must have given her the reaction she wanted, because her smile switched into a pout.
"Oh, c'mon now you two. We can't loose hope yet! I have an idea." She slid a chair out from the end of the table and took a seat. "The Book Of The Damned. Sounds scary, but hear me out. It's an old book filled with ways to release curses. Who knows, it might even have a way to get rid of the Mark." That got Dean's attention.
"And where is this Book?" He asked.
"Tuscany. But hopefully it won't take me too long to find it, and then I'll be right back here, and we can solve this once and for all." Dean nodded.
"Great! Glad we have a plan. Hate to cut our time short, but if I plan on getting to Tuscany on time, I have a place to catch." Sam and Dean gave her a hug, I merely waved, and Charlie was off. After she left, I stood and stretched.
"Well, it's sure nice to be back home. I think I'm going to go upstairs and-"
"Sit." Dean demanded. I stopped.
"What?"
"Sit down, Rae." Sam said. I looked at the two of them before slowly sinking back into my seat. The two brothers glanced at each other before they both took stance in front of me. A nervous feeling fluttered up in my gut and I tried my best to not look nervous.
"Um...What's up?"
"We want you to explain something..." Dean said as he started pacing around me. "Exactly how did you know where to find us?"
"W-What..." I stopped, took a deep breath, and continued. "What do you mean?"
"We mean that just a couple nights ago, you knew exactly what house we were in without, to my knowledge, knowing where we were or where we were going. I don't even know how you got there!" Sam said, reminding me that I had a car sitting in Columbus... "There's something about you, Rae, that isn't adding up at all. So we want you to explain just what your motives are here, why you sought us out over anyone else." My thoughts raced. Was this the time? Could I, should I reveal the truth here and now?
"You remember the demon that sent me here?" They both nodded. "Well, he followed me here. He was the one you guys fought in Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Well, at first, he was straight up trying to murder me. That's why I was constantly moving. Well, here lately, he's seemed to switched gears. There was a fire in Columbus, a lot like the one in Springfield, so I went to go investigate it-"
"By yourself?" Sam exclaimed.
"That wasn't the first time I've done something completely by myself. Let's not forget I am a demon hunter. Anyway, when I went to Columbus, the fire was pretty much out, so I thought I'd scout around to see if maybe I could find what or who started it. Well, the demon, who goes by Leo by the way, said you two were in trouble. And he sent me back to you. That's not the most important part, though."
"Then what is?" Dean asked, unamused.
"The fire wasn't started by Leo." I took another deep breath. "It was started by Cain." Sam froze while Dean paled. "Apparently, he killed three people and is still on the move. Leo didn't know what he was after, but if Cain is on the move..."
"It has to be something serious..." Sam whispered.
"Are you for sure it was Cain? How can we trust your demon friend?" Dean asked.
"You know how I told you about asking Metatron about my mother?" Dean shook his head. "Well, I also asked him about Leo and his intentions, and apparently, he is here to help me. I don't know if we can truly base everything we know off of Metatron, but he normally doesn't lie." Sam ran a hand through his hair. At that time, his laptop pinged and he glanced over at it. Sam fiddled with the laptop for a moment before speaking.
"Well, maybe we can find out what Cain is doing while we move, because we just received a new case."

WHOA, WHOA, WHOA

I actually updated. Craaaazzzyyyy. Maybe I can do that some more now that I have a new laptop and school's out.

Sorry I had to end the chapter on such a crappy note but I kinda needed to end it.

Uh, I've been gone for so long that I don't remember where I was on shout outs so we'll do that in the next chapter. (yay) (also if you want a shout out, all you have to do is leave a review. Easy, right? Right.)

Hopefully everyone enjoyed the season ending and hopefully next season is aweeessooommmee!

Until Next Time!
