Chapter 9: The beginning of The End, Part 1
The White House, 2491: Lex smiled as the holographic emitters which were the cameras in the 25th Century were aimed at directly at him. He was ready to announce a new attack on the Terrorists who had attacked a LuthorCorp secured location in Australia 3 days ago. What Lex didn't know was that these "Terrorists" were a part of the rising Rebellion. He stared at the cameras and then looked down at his speech. He glanced at his staff and noticed Ariana, His wife was missing. He quickly looked at one of his aides and the aide immediately left.
"My fellow Americans, I want to say thank you, for giving me another shot at running this great country of ours. We no longer have war, or famine or disease, but we do have resistance. Resistance to our cause and our way of…" Lex was cut off by his tele-prompter when on the screen was the symbol of The House of El, instead of his notes. He went from a smile to a look of rage as he stared at the hated image.
"How did that infiltrate my security?" he said rage filling his voice.
"I don't know sir, but we're looking into it, sir," Mason, his chief of security said. They then saw on the video feed from the 3-D televisions an image of Trinity Jean Knight, the younger one.
"My fellow Americans, My name is Trinity Jean Knight. My father, Wilton Knight stood up 3 centuries ago against injustice and men like Lex Luthor who would corrupt the law and the will of the people. This man Lex Luthor should not be allowed to be President because our current President is nothing more than a clone of a man who lived in the early 21st Century. We have had anti-cloning laws on the books for Centuries dating back to 1998 when states began passing resolutions prohibiting cloning of humans. We have proof that Lex Luthor IV is nothing more than something out of the past. If you want to see the proof, here it is," Trinity said. What came up next was a blood sample from Lex Luthor and one from Lex Luthor from the 21st Century. They matched.
"America, This time, it's your turn to choose. Not only is this man a clone, but He also stripped The Last Son of Krypton of his powers years ago. He made sure there were no Holo-cameras available but He neglected one thing. My own Company's satellites were above the location, which was the Kent farm and photographed the event. He used a military strike force armed with God Kryptonite which would render a Kryptonian of his powers forever. My satellites sent the video feed to my company's private feed. I'm releasing this feed in 30 seconds to the major news feeds. It should be uploaded…now," Trinity said.
All over the United States, Americans got a view of Lex Luthor ordering a military sniper team to surround the Kent farm's barn.
"These special bullets will render Superman powerless. He's been leading a resistance to stop my re-Election as President. We have to stop him," The recorded image of Lex Luthor said. The men nodded.
"Let's bring this terrorist down. For The President," The lead sniper said as they loaded their guns with Gold Kryptonite bullets. The video image then switched back to Lex and his assistant as the snipers ran in.
"Sir, what about the Knight woman and The Foundation for Law And Government?" Alicia Masters asked. Lex smiled.
"I have a separate team taking care of that issue. No one will stop me," The videotaped Lex said. The image replayed 3 more times of Lex repeating that last sentence.
"What you have just seen is your President willing to stop an alien who was sent to this Earth to simply stop it from destroying itself and stopping me, because He knew I would be the only one left who could legally stop him. But this isn't about me or Kal-El it's about the Legacy of The United States and the will of the people. Are the American People willing to be ruled by a man who is willing to destroy anyone who gets in his way or do they want to enact the will of the people and stop men like Lex Luthor who has declared himself Emperor of these United States?" Trinity said. The camera view widened to show Batman, Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent along with the older version of Trinity and Hannah Melvin.
"We're not going to stop until Lex is brought to justice," Batman said. The video feed then shut down. Lex stared at Mason and his security team.
"We need to stop this woman or else she will be my undoing," Lex said. Mason nodded and they began running in all directions to find out where that feed was coming from.
"Alicia, find my wife," He barked. Another of his assistants ran up.
"Mr. President, Congress has convened and they have called a special session. They are preparing a vote of no confidence in your leadership," Rob Richards, His assistant said.
"Find my wife. We'll deal with Kal-El and the congress," Lex said as he moved from the Press Room to the residential wing as He was going to take his personal effects as far as his plans to a secret bunker. He then stared as he saw two people in his bedroom. One was Trinity Jean Knight and her great-great-great granddaughter Valarian Knight.
"Greetings, Mr. President," Valarian said her arms folded over her full breasts. Lex just stared at her.
"You're supposed to be in prison," He said. Trinity smiled.
"That's what happens when you have Doomsday on your team," Trinity said.
"While Superman kept you and your team busy, Doomsday broke me out of prison," Valarian said, her voice with a heavy British accent.
"What do you want, bitch," Lex said. In walked behind Lex was Davis Bloome.
"I'd watch my Tongue if I were you, Mr. President, after all every word uttered in the White House is recorded for history. After all President Obama signed into law in the latter half of his Presidency in 2015 was that He put audio microphones in every branch of the White House, but He only ordered the sections where The President could be seen publically. Your predecessor Lex Luthor III, ordered all the mics turned on in every area of The White House. Our Team is already downloading every sentence you've spoken and will begin editing for clarity and will release it to the News Media in a couple of hours," Davis said.
"You're the destroyer, who would kill The Last Son Of Krypton," Lex said finally realizing who Davis was.
"Yes, but Kal-El & I put aside our differences. After all the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Your worse than I could ever be," Davis said.
"And You will be stopped once and for all," Spoke Superman, from this era.
"You have your powers? That's impossible," Lex said.
"My friends helped me regain them. As well as family," Superman said as he landed on the ground and walked through the open window.
"Your family?" Lex said, confused.
"I am Trinity Jean Knight, heir to Wilton Knight's fortunes but I have a secret. I was born with Kryptonian DNA thanks to my biological father, Jor-El," Trinity said as She removed from around her neck a necklace which had the House of El symbol on it.
"Who gave that to you," Lex asked afraid. He then heard the voice of Jor-El as Jor-El materialized.
"I did. I am Jor-El of Krypton. I was on Earth when Lachlan Luthor killed Thomas Wayne and a multitude of others while he waited for a being he called The Traveler who turns out to be the Son of my greatest enemy General Zod. You were implanted with the General's memories which also told of my son's arrival," Jor-El said.
"I will expose the great Kal-El for who he is," Lex said defiantly. Jor-El stared at Lex and then shook his head no.
"If I know America, the people will have their say, just like the people of Krypton had their say. Ultimately, those who love darkness and evil, will eventually will be stopped once and for all," Jor-El said.
"And we've done everything we could to present the case before the American people, and they will make a decision," Trinity said as Father & daughter stood side by side.
"Daughter of Krypton & Earth, you have done well," Jor-El said.
