Chapter 11: Homeward bound
The Batcave, beneath Wayne Manor, 2491: The team found themselves at the Batcave staring at the older version of Trinity Jean Knight. Behind her was Valerian Knight, the great-great-granddaughter of Trinity & Michael Knight.
"So now what?" Davis asked as he put down a backpack he had brought with him to the Senate meeting. Clark shrugged his shoulders as he quickly changed from his Superman costume to a Metropolis University T-Shirt, jeans and sneakers. He put on his glasses.
"We've got to send you guys back to the 21st Century," Bruce said as he moved to a computer.
"We'll send you 3 months forward from when you left," Bruce said.
"Can you send us to Watchtower?" Clark said. Davis shrugged.
"Send me to Paradise Cove. I can make a new start from there," Davis said. Bruce nodded.
"There's one other person who won't be going with you, Kal-El," Trinity said after a moment. Valerian stared at her great-great-grandmother.
"What's going on here, Trinity," She asked. Trinity stared at her.
"There are some things I need to discover here in this time, about myself," Trinity finally said turning to face her brother. Clark then removed a grey Kryptonian crystal he had taken from The Fortress of Solitude prior to the Senate hearing on Lex.
"Then this might be something you want to access, Trinity," Clark said. He removed from his back pocket instructions and he placed both the grey Kryptonian crystal and instructions in Trinity's hands.
"Jor-El had told me He had sent this in my ship and it bore your name in ancient Kryptonese language. He said that there is much in this Crystal about the House of El and the Knight family Legacy. Your best bet is to either go to the Fortress or access it here. Father said, that He had instructed me to give this to you if you decided to stay," Clark said.
"Who will you send in your stead," Davis asked. Trinity nodded to her great-great-great granddaughter Valerian Knight.
"My daughter of course. She has my powers, but not my Kryptonian DNA. My powers got passed on through the genetics but not the Kryptonian DNA. She has all of my powers but not any weaknesses of a true Kryptonian. Alert Tess or Chloe to update Valerian to have access to Watchtower, so she can be a part of the team that helps you out when you need it, Kal-El. There's a computer program you programmed into the Fortress that will let me return when I choose," Trinity said. Clark nodded and Valerian took her place with the team.
"Thank you Trinity," Valerian said in that British accent of hers. Bruce nodded to Terry and Terry removed his mask.
"Computer, this is Terry McGinnis. Access code is 312478. Activate time displacement mode. The team was now composed of Hannah Melvin, Connor Kent, Doomsday, Valerian Knight and Clark Kent. Displace," Terry said. The 5 member team consisting of 3 men and two women were displaced in time, back to the past…
