His fingers were cold, he hadn't realized it until they met John's and the temperature difference startled his companion. He turned to look at the shorter man and shrugged.

"Sherlock you are horrible at this."

John scrunched his nose and smirked as he secured their hands together. Fingers interlaced and palms touching, Sherlock could feel the doctor's warmth spreading throughout his body.

Sherlock huffed and tried removing his hand, "It was your idea."

"I know, we'll just have to practice." Tightening his grip the shorter man smiled down at their joined hands. The detective turned blushing.
