I am sorry for anything that might be wrong with the language. Google translate was the only thing I got. Sorry it's short. You will have to wait until after Grey's tomorrow for next update. Maybe even until Friday. Anyways, please enjoy this cliffhanger.
Thank you for leaving a review. It makes my day.
April 25th
"We got him," Barbara whispers.
"What?" Arizona questions, confused by the way her mom answered the phone.
"His remains. We got them,"
"No. No," Arizona whispers, falling down onto her bed.
"The only thing left," she takes a moment to stop her tears, "thing left was a tooth,"
"No bones? Are they even allowed to confirm death without bones? He could have been in a fight and it got knocked out. No. He can't be dead. I'd know. Mom, I'd know. I'd know, wouldn't I?"
"Arizona, I don't know I can't even think about-"
Arizona hangs up the phone, she can't do this right now.
She dials a number she has used very little, but has made sure to memorize.
The tone goes twice before a male voice answers.
"Did you get remains?"
"No."
She hangs up again, then calls a number she knows and uses often.
"Hello?"
"I quit,"
She hangs up again.
Then she starts moving. She can't tell you what she's doing.
Box after box gets filled with her items.
"Robbins!" someone yells from the other side of her door.
Arizona ignores it.
She packs everything she has, condensing her apartment into ten boxes, and then the one box she had before she started packing.
She then goes out of her apartment, passing Mark who is sitting on the ground.
"Woh, Robbins," he says, standing up.
"Can you take these boxes and keep them safe until I get back?" she asks.
"Yeah, but what is this about-"
"Thanks, I'll give you the key tomorrow," she cuts him off, going back into her apartment.
She gets on her laptop for half an hour, then turns it off again. She packs a bag of a few clothes and goes to the bank, drawing out all of her money, then goes back home to sleep in her bed for the last time.
April 26th
"Here you go, I'll be back sometime," Arizona says, handing Mark her keys.
"Robbins, where the hell are you going?"
"Asia. Well Iraq to be exact," she shrugs.
"Are you fucking crazy Robbins?" he says, starting to get mad.
"I'll be back when I find my brother," with that she starts to walk away.
"Robbins!" he yells after her.
"I'll call you when I land!" she yells back.
"Do we need to take you to a hospital? Arizona this is fucking crazy!" Teddy yells.
"I'm sane. This may not be rational, but I am doing this. I have the money and I will make do. Stop yelling at me, please," Arizona says calmly.
"I'm worried about you. Can you even talk, in fact what language do they even speak in Iraq?"
"I can speak all I should need to, Ardyok' voreve meky khosum e angleren, yev karogh e ognel indz."
"What the hell does that mean?"
"Does anybody speak english and can help me," Arizona translates.
"What are you going to do if nobody does?"
"Use this," Arizona holds up a dictionary.
"Please come back soon. Please, give it a month then come home. Please," Teddy begs, on the verge of tears.
"I'll come back when they find something to prove Callie is dead, okay?" she asks, looking into green eyes.
"I guess I'll take that," Teddy mumbles, pulling the blonde into her arms.
"Please stay safe," Arizona mumbles.
"I should be telling you that," Teddy chuckles.
"I love you," Arizona says, her eyes connecting with blue.
"I love you too," Teddy says truthfully.
May 2nd
"shnorhakalut'yun," Arizona smiles to the old man.
"Da im hacheli," he smiles, his black teeth showing.
"duk' p'ntrum e mekin," a male asks from the side of the building.
"ayo" she responds.
"Angleren?" he asks.
"Yes, I speak english," she answers.
"You look for American soldier?" he asks in broken english.
"Yes. I'm looking for this woman," Arizona says, pulling out a picture of Callie.
"I see this woman. I take you to her?" he asks.
"Could you?" Arizona asks.
"Yes, come,"
Arizona follows the man through the busy market place.
"In here," he simply points to a house.
"Inside here?" she questions.
"Yes, I must go," he says, and takes off to do something else.
Arizona looks at the house. It looks worn down, and very like all the others next to it. A buzzing in her pocket makes her stop everything.
"Robbins?" she answers.
"Yes, I'm checking a place out,"
"Some kid said he saw her,"
"Yeah, I'm safe,"
"Got it,"
"I have done this before,"
"Got it,"
"Bye,"
Arizona puts her phone back in her pocket and moves closer to the house.
"Gnal nersum," a male voice orders.
Arizona sighs and does as she is told, going inside the house.
"Ov yes du" the man questions as he slams the door shut.
"English please," Arizona states.
"Oh, yes. You are looking for American soldiers, are you?" he asks, a wicked smile coming over his face.
"I want to see them," Arizona calmly says, pointing a gun at the man's head.
He laughs, "you would not kill me,"
"I will kill you," Arizona says, her jaw locking in place as she takes the safety off.
"Arizona?" a voice from the past sends chills up her back.
