The next day, it was revealed that Denka was the new assistant teacher. Seiko was also surprised that he knew her mother. The lessons were no different, despite there being a new teacher. Two months had passed since they had escaped Heavenly Host. During that past month, Zenka and Keybi had become good friends with the survivors.

One day, during lunch break, as he was standing on the roof, Yoshiki felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around to see Ayumi standing behind him.

"Oh, hey Shinosaki. What`s up?" he nonchalantly asked.

"I was just wondering something" Ayumi replied. "Have you ever asked Tsutsuki-kun why he acted the way he did?" she asked.

"No, he refused to talk about himself, so I never bothered" Yoshiki replied.

"Onee-chan found some newspaper articles about Yanabori, the town he and Gonta-kun are from. They were both born there, in the same house, raised by the same parents. Even so, they both are so different" Ayumi said.

"Tell me about it. At first glance you`d not be able to tell that they`re brothers" Yoshiki added. "Find anything?" he asked. Ayumi only shook her head in response.

"It seems that not many people know about the town. There aren`t even any big cults there" she said. "It has been said to be the coldest town in Japan".

"Honda did say that the people there were weren`t the nicest" Yoshiki said.

"No, I mean temperature wise" Ayumi corrected. "Wait, didn`t you say that Tsutsuki-kun refused to talk about that place?" she asked.

"Well, he didn`t say anything about what he experienced, but he did say that at least" Yoshiki replied. "Did you really get your sister to find info about the town just to find out why Honda and Gonta are so different?" he asked.

"Of course not" Ayumi replied. "I just thought that maybe I could find something about that while I was looking. Besides, Onee-chan had already found those articles by herself. I`m not sure what she`s trying to find out about" she added. The bell rang, signefying the end of the luchbreak. "Well, lunch time is over, see you in class" she said as she left the roof.

"See you" Yoshiki said back. Before she went down the stairs however, she turned around.

"Oh by the way Kishinuma-kun?" she asked.

"Yeah?" Yoshiki asked back.

"Thank you, for all the things you did for me back at Heavenly Host" Ayumi replied, giving him a warm smile.

"Don`t mention it" Yoshiki said nonchalantly, though he smiled back. Ayumi then gave him a small wave and went down the stairs, back to the main school building.

"Strange, when he smiled at me, I felt like if it was Mochida-kun smiling at me" Ayumi thought.

A few hours later:

The school day had now ended and the students were heading home. After saying goodbye to her friends, Ayumi did the same. After she reached her house, she felt as if someone was watching her and looked around. Finding nothing, she simply shrugged and walked to the door of her home.

"I`m home!" Ayumi yelled while entering her home. She took of her shoes and entered the living room. She saw that Hinoe was sitting on the couch with a teacup on the table.

"Hi Ayumi, welcome home" Hinoe said, smiling at Ayumi. "How was school today?" she asked. Hinoe was of average had brown-purplish hair and deep blue eyes. She wore a V-neck pale yellow blouse with light green frills, pink camisole, blue pants, large teardrop-shaped earrings, an aquamarine pendant, and light brown flat shoes.

"Fine, we have a new assistant teacher" Ayumi replied, sitting down next to her.

"Oh, what are they like?" Hinoe asked.

"They`re nice, can`t say much else for now" Ayumi replied. Hinoe`s expression then turned more serious.

"Ayumi, why have you been searching for info on the Book of Shadows?" she asked. The Book of Shadows was a spiritual artifact in the form of a book. Passed down through the Shinosaki family, the book had many charms and spells written in it.

"Oh, um…" Ayumi struggled to find a reply. "Wait, how did you know I was doing that?" she asked.

"You were a little too caught up in your research, so you didn`t notice someone peeking through the opening in the door" Hinoe replied. "So tell me, why would you search up on something so dangerous?" she asked.

"Because there`s something I need to do" Ayumi replied.

"And what is that exactly? Does it have anything to do with the sudden disappearance of your friends?" Hinoe asked.

"Wait, how do you know about that?" Ayumi asked.

"If you tell me the truth about that and I will help you find the Book of Shadows, on one condition" Hinoe replied. "Whatever it is you plan on doing, don`t do it alone".

"Okay then" Ayumi said, as she got ready to tell Hinoe about Heavenly Host and their experiences there.

Later that day:

Denka was standing near an alleyway, waiting for someone. He wore a white training gi and a black belt. After a few minutes, he saw Keybi and Hinata walking towards him with a person in between them. The person was wearing black pants and a black shirt covered by a hooded cloak and a black cloth covering the mouth.

"Who`s that with you?" Denka asked, pointing towards the person between them. They pulled down their hood and the cloth, showing who they were.

"Relax, it`s me" Zenka said, revealing himself as that third person. "How long is it until she will be here?" he asked. Denka then checked his watch.

"She should be here soon" he replied. Not long after that, they heard the sound of footsteps in the dark alleyway. Keybi instinctively grabbed her brother`s hand, getting slightly scared. Out of the dark alleyway came a woman of above average height. She had black hair with light blue highlights and two blue ribbons tied in it. She wore a gold necklace with a pink gem, and a short purple yukata with a red skirt underneath. She also wore geta with long stockings tied with light blue ribbons. It was Aiko Niwa.

"Well, looks like you all showed up" she said.

"Did you bring what you promised?" Hinata asked. Aiko nodded and pulled two stones out of the pockets of her yukata.

"What are those?" Keybi asked.

"These are the Death meet Stones" Aiko replied. "If you hold them close together you will be transported to Heavenly Host. Now, are you certain you want to do this? If you do, there is a chance you will never be able to get back to the real world" she added.

"If this will let me see my daughter, I`m willing to take that risk" Denka said. He then turned towards Zenka, Keybi and Hinata, "I don`t want to drag you kids into this".

"Even so, it`s too dangerous for you to go by yourself" Zenka argued.

Denka nodded, "You`re right" he said. Aiko then handed Denka and Zenka one stone each. Hinata then put a hand on Zenka`s shoulder while Keybi tightened her grip on his hand. Zenka and Denka then brought the stones close together and all five of them were engulfed in a blinding light.

Night the same day:

After having driven for several hours, Hinoe and Ayumi arrived at an old run down building.

"Here we are" Hinoe said, as she exited the car with Ayumi doing the same. Hinoe knocked on the door, a young man with black pants and a black zip up hoodie with yellow lines near the zip line. He moved out of the way, letting them inside.

"Where is the third?" Hinoe asked. The young man pulled down his hood before replying,

"She`s away for personal reasons". He had lime green hair and light blue eyes. He then turned towards Ayumi and said, "Call me Mistou".

"Okay, nice to meet you, Mistou-san" Ayumi said, giving him a small smile. Mistou lightly nodded.

"What business do you two have here?" Mistou asked.

"It is about the Book of Shadows" Hinoe replied.

"What could you possibly need that book for?" Mistou asked.

"It is to revive my friends who died in Heavenly Host" Ayumi replied.

"I see" Mistou said, seemingly aware of what she was talking about. "Follow me" he said, leading them up some stairs. They followed him up the creaking stairs. On the top of the stairs, there was a room lit by a single lamp, hanging over a book trapped in a glass casing, kind of like a museum.

"There it is, the Book of Shadows" Hinoe said. Ayumi could feel a strong spiritual power resonating from the book itself.

"Just know this," Mistou said, causing Ayumi to turn towards him, "once you remove that book from its pedestal, it will be your responsibility to make sure it doesn`t fall into the wrong hands" he finished. Ayumi nodded,

"I understand, I`ll make sure that doesn`t happen" she said. She then walked towards the Book of Shadows, feeling the spiritual power getting stronger. She lifted the glass casing of and took the book under her arm.

"There`s something else you should know" Mistou said, catching the Shinosaki sisters` attention. "This book is only the second strongest spiritual artifact in the world" he said. This caused Hinoe and Ayumi to gasp in disbelief.

"Only the second strongest? What artifact could possibly be stronger than it?" Hinoe asked.

"The Seal of Light" Mistou replied. Ayumi tilted her head in confusion.

"The Seal of Light, what`s that?" she asked. Mistou sighed in response.

"As we only found out about it recently, we don`t know much about it, but we did find a name related to it" he said.

"What is that name?" Hinoe asked.

"Zero Tsutsuki" Mistou replied.
