Writer's note: Whazzup folks? *gets hit by tons of angry pots and pans flying* Sorry! I didn't update in such a long time. Close to a year huh? I kept your guys waiting! But i have O levels this year...and the exam stresses are high! Not to worry! I'm updating this right now! Yep yep! Also a side note, I have been writing one-shots of Izaya Orihara and Shizuo Heiwajima. No, they are not yaoi pairings. I wrote a bunch of ReaderxIzaya and ReaderxShizuo oneshots... I will be uploading them shortly after I write this chapter. So Durarara fans can check them out! With that, here's chapter 4!

Alexander still felt awfully confused about his past. After his conversation with David, it only fueled his curiosity.

"Snap out of it!" the girl yelled out at him as he blinked, shaking his head free of his haziness. "Get a grip! Or we'll miss the perfect opportunity..." she hissed.

Alexander was gripping a sniper rifle. His sniper rifle to be exact. Andrea claimed that it his one and only baby. He didn't treasure it as much as Boris did for his minigun, but still, he cared for it well. Alexander had to slowly let the handling of the rifle come back to him again. Even if it forced all the brain cells to die of exhaustion, he had to remember how to properly use this thing.

He felt slightly thankful to the female sniper for guiding him. Her method of teaching was ruthless, though. If he got anything wrong or messed up, she never hesitated to punch him in the arm or pinch his cheeks roughly so much that it might leave a permanent red mark there. He breathed in slowly as he pulled back to reload the rifle. He looked into the scope carefully. Breathing out, he adjusted the scope's middle towards the Blu heavy.

"That's good...Come on. Don't forget to breath." Andrea reminded him with a surprisingly soft voice.

Breath in. He put a slight pressure on the trigger for the half click. The Blu heavy, unsuspecting of anything, rampaged noisily with his gun at the other red members. Breath out. He squeezed the trigger and braced himself for the push back as the sniper bullet flew out of the barrel, accurately passing through the skull of the then dead heavy weight.

"Good work..."Andrea smirked and looked as Alexander slumped against the wooden wall, exhaling a sigh of relief. He seemed really nervous and Andrea couldn't blame him.

"It seems like you're getting the hang of it huh?" she flashed a smile at him as he couldn't help but blush a little. He tipped his head downwards so his hat would cover his glowing cheeks. For some reason, he was becoming more and more attracted to this hard head of a female sniper. She was a feisty lioness, no doubt, but deep inside, Alexander could see something more vulnerable. So innocent. He sighed a little. How badly he wanted to know what happened. What happened that changed their peaceful lives for good. He wished he knew, and he wished if things were as good as David had claimed to be before, that things would go back to the way it was.

"Hey...we're out of ammo..." Andrea looked around in panic as she widened her eyes, checking her pockets as well.

"Crap...we're going to have to go downstairs and get that box of ammos I saw laying around earlier..." she muttered and peeked out of the small gap in between the wood that had allowed for an amazing sniper hideout. Alexander stopped moving and stared at her.

"We'll be completely exposed if we go down..." he mumbled and slowly pulled out his Kukri. They had been so focused on getting his Sniping skills back that she forgot to teach him hand-to-hand combat. It was true that a sniper was better from a distance. They were not much of a threat in close range and they were the ones who weren't directly in the front lines. However, a sniper still needed a set of back up defence skills in case they were encountered by an enemy close to them. It was not sniper policy to kill swiftly...it was more of a spy job. But still, to kill efficiently was their goal.

"Do you have a plan, Shiela? The respawn of the Blus are not far from here. That heavy might reappear right about any second." He said as her gaze hardened.

"Then we best hurry..." she muttered and got to her feet, running down the stairs as Alexander followed closely behind. He felt kind of bad having a lady lead him, but he was still technically inexperienced in battles. He wouldn't want to get caught up in a mistake and get them killed. He hadn't died once since he woke up and met the red team, but from what the other reds said, he would rather not experience being respawned. Besides, he still didn't see the meaning behind the pointless battle. Why were they fighting over a briefcase anyway?

"There it is..." Andrea whispered to him as she ducked behind a wall, the only thing concealing them from the whole chaos of the battle in the open. She held her own Kukri tightly as she stared at the box of ammo at the other building. It was just five meters away from them, but the place was a warzone. She had just peeked her head out to access the situation when she saw William get blown to pieces by the Blu demoman's stick bomb trap. She laughed inwardly, never liking the rude soldier anyway. However, it wasn't the time to be a sadist.
"Can you cover me?" she asked him as he gave a determined expression and nodded.

However, just as they were about to run out into the open, someone spoke behind them.

"Ah...if it isn't the red team's two snipers..." the thick French accent said. Before Andrea could turn around, she felt a cold sharp blade poke against her back roughly.

Alexander slowly turned his head back as a Blu spy appeared out of his invisibility.

"Since when have you stood there...?" Andrea growled as her Kukri was forcibly taken from her. Alexander, with no idea how to handle an opponent spy with such agility with the knife, resorted to stepping back, trying to carefully plan out their movements. He knew his inexperience at the Kukri would be of no match for the butterfly knife of the experienced spy.

"Not too long ago, my dear..." he said as he flashed the duo a triumphant smile.

"Shouldn't you be helping out your other team members?" Alexander said as he narrowed his eyes.

"Oh...but I am. By taking the BOTH of you down... I would be doing a great service to my team... You have been very clever indeed. Hiding at the same spot all this while slowly killing off my members one by one.

"You knew we were up there all along?" Andrea asked, almost curious as to why he hadn't tried to get them sooner.

"Oh but of course...I just wanted to see just how good your dear friend is after his..." the spy paused before slowly articulating his words softly, "little...accident..."

Andrea's scowl deepened as Alexander turned to her,"accident...huh?" he said as the spy raised an amused eyebrow at them.

"Oh? So he doesn't remember what happened?" the blu spy chuckled mockingly.

"Just leave what happened to past." Andrea warned the spy but got silenced by the sting of his knife pushed up against her.

"Then you must not have remembered what kind of relationship we had... Oh how very fun this would all be. A sudden...plot twist to this Sniper V.S Spy tale. The sniper loses his memories..."

"Just...what are you..."Alexander felt his impatience for the man growing by the minute. He seriously did not understand a word of what he was saying.

Just then, the blu heavy ran over.

"Spy catch two sniper?" the heavy gave a loud cackle as he walked towards the three of them.

"Why of course, my overly rounded friend. I handled two of them easily. Who says there are strength in numbers?" the blu spy smirked as he turned to Andrea.

"Not to worry...this death would be swift..." he mumbled. But before the blu spy could lift his knife, the blu heavy started to morph into a blur of red. When Alexander saw who it was, relief flooded his body.

"You are an incompetent fool." The red spy whispered into his blu counterpart as he quickly stabbed the blu spy into the back. The blu spy died instantly, his dead body dropping on the ground like a weightless ragdoll.

"Laurance..." Andrea said out his name as the red Frenchman wiped off the blood that was on his gloves.

"We've won. The briefcase is in our base now." The red spy straightened himself as stared at the two.

"But...what? I didn't hear..." Andrea started but was quickly silenced by the gloved hand.

"You were too busy having your little..." he raised his eyebrow,"party, mon amie..." he opened his suitcase and picked out a cigar, putting it into his mouth and lighting it up.

"Then...that spy couldn't have killed..." Alexander had wanted to ask but immediately hushed himself when he saw Laurance brush Andrea's back where the blu spy had poked her with the knife. He seemed to care for the girl to a certain extent, and the girl returned his care with a slight smile.

At that moment, although Alexander had tried so hard all that while to convince himself that he didn't want anything to do with the team fortress, he felt left out and distant compared to the relationship the female sniper had with the red spy. Why was he feeling that way? His insecurity, and his troubled heart.

Writer's note: well this chapter sucked... anyway, again..sorry for the late update. I will be uploading this along with the Izaya and Shizuo oneshots... Jaa-ne!
