Pairing: AominexOC (Hatake Haruo)

Warning: Yaoi

It had all gone horribly wrong, whatever he had wanted to happen had been all flush down the toilet by Haruo's casual behavior. This hadn't at all gone the way he had plan. Through truth be told, Aomine hadn't really had plan to start with. All he knew was that he failed.

He didn't know how to react to the Haruo who sat lazily against the trunk of a tree with Susa and Wakamatsu on either side of him, who were currently gawking up at Aomine like two huge stupid goldfishes. Their idiotic expressions pissed him off but he tried his best to ignore the two males and focus on Haruo who had remain drain of any emotion since their eyes had met giving no clue if he was affected at all by his presence.

Aomine could feel a string of nerves tighten in his chest and an unsettling flutter of butterflies in his stomach. He tried to push the feeling away by swallowing, but it was no use; he could only stand there glaring holes into the emerald eyes that stare blankly back at him.

An awkward silence fell between them, it may have lasted a minute at most before Wakamatsu who couldn't stand it anymore and broke it.

"AOMINE! YOU BAKA!" Wakamatsu sudden outburst causes the three to jump. He grabbed the collar of Aomine's shirt and began loudly lecturing him about not coming practice and his rude behavior towards others. Which Aomine simply reply with, until Wakamatsu could beat him in basketball he didn't need listen to anything Wakamatsu had to say.

"The only one who can beat me, is me."

Hatake exhaled loudly before clambering to his feet. Grabbing a textbook out of his bag he made way towards the two idiots who were still yelling curse at each other. With one quick swift move he smack both of them a top their heads.

"OW! BAK-A!" both males stooped over and clutching the back of their head, sending pain fill glares Hatake's way.

Which he promptly ignore, as he stuff his book back in his bag and wave off curious on lookers. Who had stopped hoping to witness a fight, where now reluctantly to beginning to wander off.

Shifting his weight, he inclined his head towards Aomine. "We will talk at practice." he spoke, his voice bordering on a bleak undertone against his calm tenor. Turning his attention to Wakamatsu, he reach out his hand and mess up the other taller males bleach blonde hair. "Come on, don't give me such pitiful look" grinning teasingly at the annoyed expression upon his friends face.

Susa swallowed nervously as he watched the veins on Aomine forehead throb with rage. Jealously of affections bestowed upon the idiots Wakamatsu, Aomine reach out to grabbed the back of Hatake shirt to pull him far out reach of Wakamatsu. Only to have Susa take a hold of his oblivious friend's elbow, maneuver Hatake out of Aomine reach, believing Aomine intended to harm his dear friend.

Which left Aomine grasping at the thin air and glaring at place Hatake once stood.

"Eh? What is it Susa-Kun?" Hatake asked turning to friend, raising eyebrow at hand that still clutch his elbow.

"Class is about start." Susa said over enthusiast, causing a glint of suspicion to appear in Hatake eyes. Susa was to busy eyeing Aomine to notice, "Wakamatsu? If you're late again Yung-Sensei won't let you attend basketball practice for a week. Remember how mad he was at you last time you were late. We don't want repeat that do we now?"

The remind of what had happen last week when he accidently over-slept and was late for Yung-sensei class still haunted Wakamatsu dreams and sent into bowling ball of sheer panic, "Shit" he curse yanking his bag from under the tree, before thundering and crashing through fellow students as race to get class on time, leave his two friends and Aho-mine in cloud of dust.

"What happened between Wakamatsu-san and Yung sensei?" Hatake enquired with budding curiosity as he obediently let Susa drag him towards the school building. As they past by a group of giggle girls and Susa went on to explaining what happened to their poor loud and over-passionate friend, Hatake glance back over his shoulder to where they had been having lurch hoping to spot Aomine, to disappointment Aomine was no where do be seen. He didn't understand why he cared and why he looked back, the emotions Aomine had woken within Hatake by gracing him with his simple present confused and annoyed Hatake. Turning his attention back Susa he hid the storm emotion that twirling inside behind a mask of amusement of tale his friend Wakamatsu on going battle against the evil sensei.

"Fuck" Aomine curse kicking a loose stone sending it flying across the pavement and landing couples meters ahead of him. Anger, jealously and long with other many other annoying emotions suffocated him. For while he just paced up and down outside one of the school's entrees, trying to figure out what Haruo was thinking only come up with nothing.

Instead of going to class, he went up to his normal hang out on top of the school roof. He doubt he would be missed, he was pretty sure that most his teachers prefer him out here then in their class. A smirk stretched across his face and lay his back down against the concreted roof. He gave loud yawn as his eyelids fluttered closed. A drawn sigh escaped him, he had been hoping to sleep in peace but Haruo wouldn't let him, bastard. Haruo's face continued to appear in his mind every time he closed his eyes. Giving up trying to sleep his classes away, Aomine sat up and stare across the school grounds. It was beautiful bright sunny day with only few clouds dotting the blue sky.

Haruo hadn't change much since the last time Aomine had seen him, physical at least. To Aomine's pride and Hatake's annoyance, Aomine was still taller then him. In Aomine first year of Junior High he suddenly had great growth spurt making him the equal height of Haruo, which Haruo hadn't mind until Aomine second year when he grew taller then Hatake, then he wasn't so happy about it.

Aomine didn't understand why Hatake so upset about him being taller. A sad smile grace Aomine lips of memories of Hatake glaring up at him before making him sit down just so Haruo could be taller then him again. Momoi used think it was because Haruo was older didn't think he could play his big brother role, if he had to look up instead down at Aomine. Through Aomine still thought it was stupid reason, he would always see Haruo as his brother no matter how much taller he got.

Tapping his fingers against his knee, Aomine deeply consider whether or not to go practice. If he didn't he wouldn't get answers he wanted to know and if he did go he knew could turn ugly quickly. Sighing, he lay back down. There were still couple hours in day before he had make up his mind, closing his eyes he finally able to shut out the world. But he still dreamt of Haruo, of how it use to between them.

The rest of day went by slowly for Hatake. He came more and more impatient as seconds tick away, he wanted to go to practice he couldn't decide whether just because he want to play basketball or if was because he also want see if Aomine would show or not. He groaned and ran hand lazily through his dark locks; he couldn't concentrate with Daiki and the conflicting and confusing emotions clogging up his mind.

He slammed his fist against his table and glared holes into the blackboard the big black cloud had return with lighting vengeance. Teachers and students gave wide birth and watch warily from the sidelines and Wakamatsu would walk with his friend to each class they had with each with at least five person gap between them just to be safe side.

Practice couldn't have come quicker for Wakamatsu, he couldn't wait to play some on one on one with Hatake hoping it would cool his friend off, through he could only hope his friend didn't try murder in process. Wakamatsu tilted head towards Hatake who getting ready for practice next him. Although the cloud was gone Hatake still wore a pitiful sour-ful face and get glance towards the changing room doors.

He better come, Hatake thought bitterly to himself. He didn't like waiting and he wanted get this over with. Aho-mine where hell are you?
