Chapter 15

Berkley and Diane head to the apartment to set up the nursery for the babies and give them all a welcome home surprise for the family by setting out the dishes the Ryo and babies brigade have made for them including lasagna, pecan pie, chocolate chip cookies, banana pudding, and so much more.
"It was nice of the brigade to do this for them. Lord knows they won't have much time for sleep or cooking with the twins coming home and Ryo needing to recover still. Dee better step up and do more than just be a pervert! Oh but those babies were so cute, I can't wait to baby sit for them when they need it." Diane says as they enter the apartment and start getting things set out. She looks over and notices Berkley just staring at the cribs. "Ugh…hello? Earth to Berkley, what are you staring off in to space for?" Diane asks.
Berkley shakes his head and realizes he has been in a daydream and says, "Nothing, just thinking that Dee is such a lucky man and I am happy for them both. Also looking at the cribs made me realize I want kids of my own that aren't just godchildren. As for Dee stepping up to the plate as a dad, I think he will be a fine one as long as he keeps his perviness under control."
Diane snorts in derision and states, "Good luck with that. Which twin is your favorite? Mine is Kobe, he resembles Dee so much though and I always liked his face. But I will never admit that to him." Berkley replies, "My favorite is Kami because she looks like Ryo and she is an angel and will have so many boyfriends and admirers."
"Whoa, it is a bit early to think like that. Are you trying to make her to be like Dee in his horndog ways?" Diane says as she shakes her head. She finishes putting the linen on Kobe's crib, as Berkley does on Kami's crib, and then moves on to the changing table on Kobe's side of the room. Berkley moves to do the same on Kami's and replies, "Oh no no no, that would be disastrous if she turned out to be like that old horndog." They both finish at the same time and move into the rest of the apartment to decorate it with streamers and banner that everyone help make. "Then let's just worry about getting this place set up for them and worry about dates later when it comes to that." Diane suggests. "Sounds like a plan," Berkley states.
-Back at the hospital-
After Berkley and Diane left, Carol comes up and asks, "Can I hold Kami please? She is so precious, well they both are." Mother comes over and steps in front of Carol before Ryo or Dee could say yes or no and states, "I should get to hold Kami first because of my name sake. It's only fair." Carol pushes mother out of the way saying, "Oh no you don't old bat. I asked first!" As this exchange is going on Bikky gives Kobe over to Dee reluctantly because he loves holding his new baby brother, to go over to Ryo and holds out his arms for Kami. Ryo shakes his head in disbelief and ends the argument by stating in a clear and irritated voice, "Bikky will get to hold Kami first since he is being the only reasonable person in this room at the moment.
Carol and Mother both stop and are startled by the outburst and hang their head in shame because they feel bad and say in unison, "We're sorry." "I don't know what came over me Ryo. I apologize for my behavior. May hold Kobe at the moment?" Mother pleas. "Of course," Dee says as he gives Kobe to Mother. She turns to sit in the chair and says to Carol, "I am sorry my dear, I shouldn't have let my jealousy get the better of me can you forgive me?"
"Yeah I can do that. I am sorry as well for shoving and fighting with you. It was stupid," Carol replies. Carol then goes over to Bikky and holds out her arms hoping she can hold Kami next. Bikky hands over Kami and allows Carol to sit in the other chair in the room. After a few moments of each woman spending time with the children Carol gets up and asks, "Would you like to switch? I would love to hold Kobe right now." Mother with a tear of joy in her eye states, "Yes. I would love to."
As this exchange is going on Dee is massaging Ryo's shoulders and back to relax him. Dee says on a sigh, "We made the world's most beautiful babies my love." Ryo melts into Dee and replies, "Yes we did. I love them and you so much. Now my life is complete." Ryo then falls asleep in Dee's arms. Dee looks up to find everyone looking at them and he asks, "What?" Mother gets up with Kami and kisses her on the forehead as she lays her gently in the hospital crib they put in Ryo's room. "Let us go and let both of you have some rest. I doubt you have got any sleep since Ryo went into labor," Mother says. Carol gets up, lays Kobe in his crib and kisses both him and Kami saying, "I agree besides we better go make sure the apartment is set up for the babies." Dee starts to yawn and says, "Thank you so much Bikky." As they all say their goodbyes and leave Dee finally goes to sleep in what feels like ages.
-Over at the apartment-
"That's crooked Diane!" Berkley yells from the kitchen as he sets out the food the brigade has been bringing by or already brought. Diane is hanging a Welcome Home Ryo and Babies sign for when they come home, which will be tomorrow morning. "Omg! Berkley just worry about the dang cookies you are burning and not on a banner that I will fix once I put the last string up…Ugh." Diane retorts. "Oh crap!" Berkley yells as he pulls out nearly burnt cookies. "Whew, it's just the edges that are a bit burnt. At least I didn't ruin them completely." Berkley says. The balloons are already set up in the living room kitchen and nursery, both blue and pink ones. Now Diane and Berkley are putting the finishing touches by baking cookies and putting up the banner.
Diane laughs at his cookies as she fixes the banner to make it straight then comes down the ladder only to trip on the last step and fall on her butt. Berkley laughs back at her and says, "Really clumsy there footloose." "Argh!" Diane grunts as she gets up and throws the last bit of string at Berkley and it hits him in the face. At that moment Berkley stops laughing, turns to look at Diane, and says, "You did not just do that? Oh now it on hooker!" Berkley picks up his nearly burnt cookies and throws them back to hit Diane in the face, stomach, chest, and one gets stuck in her hair. "Oh you are so dead meat old fag!" Diane declares as she goes over to the counter and throws whipped cream from a pie in Berkley's face. He is at first startled by it and then retorts, "This means war!" Berkley then takes a handful of banana pudding and rubs it in Diane's hair.
-30 minutes later-
Berkley and Diane are panting from exhaustion and are completely covered from head to toe with desserts and food from the brigade. Berkley looks around at the mess they made and says, "OMG, we need to clean this up before someone gets here and finds out what we did. Oh no, what are we going to do about the food we ruined?" As Berkley starts to freak out Diane comes over and says, "Well it's your fault for laughing at me. But your right we need to fix this and I guess we can call the brigade to send over more food so that it can replace the ones we ruined. We will just pay for the ingredients to make it since we made this mess. We will send someone to go get the ingredients, while we clean up in here."
"I started this?! You were the one that threw the string in the first place Diane and you know I hate anyone messing with my face or my hair," Berkley says in dismay. "Oh like this banana pudding got in my hair all by itself!" Diane retorts as she starts getting in Berkley's face again. "Oh like the whipped cream in mine was put there by magical fairies!" Berkley yells. They start to wrestle on the floor again and lose track of time.
Bikky and Carol had come in and were astonished by the mess Berkley and Diane made. Now they come over and yell in unison, "Will you two knock it off!"
Diane and Berkley stop immediately and then stand up and dust themselves off as if nothing was wrong. "Oh you're home. So how is Ryo holding up?" Berkley asks. Diane just looks at Carol with shame and says, "We will clean this place up if you guys will go to the brigade and ask them to make the dishes they made again. We will give you the money to get the ingredients."
Bikky and Carol look at each other and shake their heads, look at the other two in disbelief before Bikky says, "I would expect this from Dee not you two. –sighs- But fine we will go shopping and get the brigade to make the dishes again. This apartment better be spotless and perfect when we get home and especially before Ryo and the babies get home tomorrow morning. Understand?" "Yeah, but clean yourselves off first, you two look horrible," Carol states.
"We will, I promise." Berkley replies as he hands Bikky the money for the ingredients. As Diane hands Carol her portion she says. "We are so sorry for this guys." "Just don't do anything that is stupid like this again. I want everything to be perfect when they all come home." Bikky says.
By the time Bikky and Carol get back from shopping and alerting the brigade of emergency baking and cooking for the family, the apartment was spotless and there was a note on the fridge from Berkley and Diane saying I hope this meets your approval. Again we are both sorry for the trouble we have caused. Let us know how the home coming goes. See yall soon.
