A/N: Heyo! This is the longest chapter yet! I spit it out in a day or two, so yeah. Hope you enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own anything recognizable
Percy looked out at the rain. The Nephelai*, for one reason or another, always made it pour here in England. Though it did dampen the his smell to the monsters at least, so he wouldn't complain.
They had been in the hotel room in London for a few days and it was getting to Percy, he had even started to make up voices and talk to them.
Of course the rain was partly to blame for that so maybe he would complain.
And what was I talking about? Thought the upside down figure.
Percy flipped over on the couch as he heard the front door open.
He quietly slinked off the couch and hid behind the corner of the hallway.
In the hall was Chiron, who was, once again, pretending to be .
This wouldn't have been odd if it wasn't for a very tall bearded man behind the currently wheelchair confined centur.
"Percy, this is Hagrid. He'll be taking us to get your school things." Chiron said when he spotted Percy.
Percy stepped away from the wall and walked towards the two.
"'ello there Percy, I'm 'agrid." Said the even larger up close man, he reached an enormous hand out to shake Percy's.
"Nice to meet you." Percy replied as his hand was engulfed by the man's.
"Now Falla' me." Hagrid said.
They followed him down to the lobby, Chiron told Hagrid how the elevator worked, and out to the now cloudy but not raining skies.
After walking for a while they came to a somewhat shabby pub. As they walked in Percy spotted the him it read: Laeky Coerlon. But to Chiron it read: Leaky Cauldron.
the inside was debatably either worse or better than the outside, old paintings, some furniture worn almost to bits, and an odd assortment of people everywhere you looked.
Of course Percy's eyes jumped from one thing to another, but were eventually call back to Hagrid when he heard, "Come along Percy, the good stuff's over 'ere."
Hagrid walked to the back after waving to the bartender.
"Which brick. . . Why is is not poking out a little." He grumbled as he studied a brick wall.
"Ah here is is!" He tapped a brick in the middle of the wall. As soon as he did this the bricks started moving away, after they stopped they formed a doorway.
Percy gaped at the bustling storefronts in front of them.
"Well come on then. We've got stuff to do!" Hagrid called to them.
Percy rushed towards the, not that he knew it, half giant while Chiron stayed behind to look at things.
"Ya got the money to trade in, Percy*?" Percy nodded, somewhat struggling to keep up.\
"Good, then we'll go to Gringotts than head to get your school 'ings."
"I could get his books while he gets his wand." Offered Chiron, who had appeared from behind them.
"Thanks ." Percy said, he wanted to be on time for the lunch with his half siblings.
"If 'ats the case, I'll go grab your ink and cauldron. It can take time ta find the right wand."
Percy had exchanged the one hundred dollars that Sally had given him for the supplies. They had all split up to get his stuff, so he was in front of a somewhat rundown store that Hagrid told him was called 'Ollivanders'.
As he stepped in he caught the attention of a old man in the back.
"Well if it isn't Percy Jackson, your brothers were in here just a bit ago." The man said, as he sild on a ladder to the front.
Percy nodded, it was kinda creepy that the man knew his name.
"Funny, I thought I would 'ave seen you three years ago. But on to business, which is your wand arm?"
Percy assumed that wand arm meant your dominant arm and held out his right.
A floating tape measure rushed to his arm while hopped on another sliding ladder and went to go search for a wand.
After a few seconds he came back holding five boxes.
"Here we go, Holly and Unicorn hair, 11 inches, quite swishy. Give it a wave." erged as he handed Percy the wand.
Percy waved it, feeling as silly as he did during his first capture the flag, a small lamp on the desk jumped off.
Ollivander snatched the the wand from his hands. "No no, not that one. Try this one, Cherry with fairy wings, great for charms"
Percy flicked it, this time a row of wand flew off the back shelf.
Ollivander snatched the wand back.
"Maybe this one." He said as he picked a wand from the fallen pile. "Here you are, Willow and Dragon Heartstring, 9 inches, rather springy."
Percy felt the wand's twisted handle, his swished it in his hand. A mist appeared and the scent of the ocean permeated the air.
Ollivander had a small smile on his face.
"Excellent, time for you to be on your way." Percy paid two galleons and headed out to met Chiron and Hagrid to get his robes.
"Well all that's left is your pet, if ya want one of course." Hagrid told Percy.
Percy nodded, he thought it be cool to have a pet.
"Well than, come on."
They entered the shop with animals lining everything.
"Well Percy, why don't ya look around, I'll be out there." Hagrid said as he left the shop.
There were more creatures than Percy had ever seen in one place, a house cat sized, lion like animal sat on a shelf, it was staring at him.
He turned to the right, there was a cage of rats there, one caught his eye.
It was brown, somewhat scraggly looking, and was very clumsy, if the fact every so often it tripped was anything to go on.
"Are you looking at buying that little fella?" Called a voice from behind the counter.
Percy thought about it. It was a rather unusual rat, and it looked like it could take care of itself, even with it's clumsiness.
"Yes please." He answered after a while.
"Tell you what, I thought no one was ever going to buy the poor thing so ten sickles, or a galleon for a care pack." The saleswoman told him.
Percy handed her one of his last gold coins.
"I'll get the pack together, you stay right here." And she headed to the back.
After a few minutes, she came back and gave him a small carrier with supplies for the school year.
"Here you are dear." She said as she put the rat in the carrier.
"Thanks." He said.
"Thought of a name yet?"
"Not yet, I'll think about it."
"Right then, have a good day." She said as he left.
He walked up to Hagrid and Chiron, who were talking.
"Got a rat? Good choice, that store always has the best rats." Hagrid told him as the walked towards the restaurant that he was meeting his siblings at.
As they got closer to the meeting place, they could see a blond man sitting with an obviously annoyed boy with black hair.
"Percy, me and Hagrid are going to get some stuff." Chiron told Percy, who nodded.
The boy stood up when Percy reached the table.
"Hi, I'm Danny." He said, extending his hand. Percy was surprised to hear an American accent rather than British like he had expected.
"I'm Percy." He said, shaking Danny's hand.
"Nice to meet you." And with that a somewhat awkward silence came over them.
"So, where do you live?" Danny asked.
"New York City, what about you?"
"Amity Park, Minnesota*."
"Isn't that called the most haunted town in the states?"
"Yeah, my adoptive parents are ghost hunters."
"Wow."
"Yeah."
Hagrid came back from getting some food.
"'Ello, I'm 'agrid, you're Danny right?"
Danny nodded.
"Nice ta meet ya." Hagrid said giving a warm smile.
From behind them came another small group, this time with a young boy and two adults.
A/N: Waha! I did it! Anyway, please vote on my poll, that way I can be sure where everyone will go before I write the sorting. And expect a few more Diagon Alley chapters, I have to give you all of their wands~
*1: The Nephelai are the nympths of the clouds and pour the rain. I didn't want to use Zeus, that and I remembered that there was something else semi-responsable for the rain.
*2: On the Danny Phantom Wikia, the best bet about what state Amity Park was in was Minnesota.
