A/N: Oh my Gate. This took up seven whole pages in my notebook. Oh, responses to guest reviews will be at the bottom from now on.
Well hope you enjoy, I had fun writing the awkwardness between Ed and Roy.
Disclaimer: *Sing songy* I do not own, I do not own, I do not own!
Danny was searching for three open seats, it almost seemed as if everywhere was full!
Percy was to his left, he was looking as well.
Behind them was Hermione Granger, who they had encountered on their search.
Danny opened the last door of the train car, inside was Artemis, the youngest of the four brothers.
He was sitting in an otherwise completely empty compartment.
"Hey, Artemis, mind if we sit here?" Artemis just gestured to the empty bench.
Danny called Hermione and Percy over, they both thanked Artemis.
Danny sat next to the window next to Artemis while Percy plopped down between them.
Hermione sat in the middle of the bench across from the three boys.
Artemis looked up from his book and looked at Hermione.
"I'm Hermione Granger," she introduced.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Granger." He shook her outstretched hand firmly.
"Is this your first year?"
Artemis smiled, though it was still vampire like.
"Yes, I am looking forward to it."
Hermione shivered slightly.
Percy coughed slightly, trying to interrupt the tense silence.
"So, Hermione, what's Hogwarts like?"
Hermione light up with happiness.
"It's amazing! The classes are hard, but really interesting."
Percy tried to think of another question, then he remembered a phrase that he kept hearing from his brothers.
"What are the houses?"
Hermione spent a few minutes explaining. Artemis tuned her out, in favor of reading.
Though he was interested in hearing her obvious dislike of Slytherin.
Before Percy could ask her reason for the obvious dislike, the door slide open.
In the door frame was a young girl with braided brown hair, Danny realised it was Eron, the girl who had helped him out in Diagon Alley.
"Merkava?" Hermione asked, the two of them had become known as the 'library duo' the previous year and had hit it off one day while helping Madam Pince reshelve books.
"Hello, Miss Granger, may I sit here?" the young Amestrian asked.
Hermione looked at the three boys, they all gave her signs to go ahead.
Eron gracefully slide into the seat beside Hermione next to the window.
"Hello, Danny," Eron said shyly, waving to the boy across from her.
He wave back, giving her a smile.
"Percy, Artemis, this is Eron Merkava. Eron, these are my brothers, Artemis Fowl and Percy Jackson," Danny told the twelve-year-old.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Jackson, Mr. Fowl."
They all shook hands.
They all chatted for a bit, Artemis, Percy, and Danny all learning a bit more about Hogwarts.
A while before.
Needless to say the tension between the fourteen-year-old major and the thirty-something colonel was thick.
They were at the station, Ed was soon to be boarding the train.
Roy was amazed by the station, though he didn't show it, he was after all a colonel.
Meanwhile Ed was to busy glaring at Roy to look at his surroundings.
He grumpily pushed his cart alongside Mustang, who was following McGonagall through the crowd.
Roy looked at the sulking Ed.
"Fullmetal," he said, trying to get the teen's attention.
"Wvhat is it colonel?" Ed grumbled out, leaving out the swear at the end due to the teacher and young kids. within hearing range
Roy's eyes softened, it still didn't show though.
"The Füher said since dis is a mission, you'll be excused from set date assessments. You'll be doing them vhile you're home dough."
Ed grumbled a bit but didn't say anything.
Roy sighed, he and Edward had a difficult time discussing anything other than work and research without yelling, not that when they discussed those there wasn't any.
They had already stored Ed's luggage, now all that was left was to get him on the train.
It was vaguely reminiscent of the first time Roy had sent Ed off, two and a half years ago.
"Good luck, Fullmetal." Roy saluted Ed, Ed returned it, though it was somewhat informal.
"Tell Al not to bring in to many strays." With that the hight-sensitive teen turned and boarded the train.
"See you over de holidays," Roy called, he could hear Ed groaning from inside.
Roy smiled and turned to join McGonagall, who had said goodbye earlier.
"Now all that's left is to find a seat," he thought.
Ed snapped out of his flashback and entered the reality of him moving from car to car, trying to find an empty seat.
He had already searched the first to cars, but to no avail.
There was one last compartment he hadn't checked yet, the one he was about to open.
He slid the door open, inside were three boys who looked similar, a girl with bushy brown hair, and a brown-haired girl who look somewhat familiar.
"May I sit here?" he asked. "Everywvhere else is full."
The girl with bushy hair looked at the rest, who just shrugged.
"Go ahead."
Giving his thanks, Ed sat down to the left of the bushy-haired girl.
The boy next to the window decided to introduce himself, "I'm Danny Fenton, and these are my brothers, Percy and Artemis."
"I'm Hermione Granger," Bushy, Ed's new name for the girl, said.
"Nice to meet you all, I'm Edwvard Elric."
The girl next to the window's eyes widened, she turned around to face him.
She wore a look Ed had seen more than once on an officer's child.
Ed saw her eyes, they reminded him of one of Roy's associates, Mantak Merkava.
"I'm Eron Merkava," the girl said.
Ed blinked. "Oh crap, wasn't that Mantak's daughter's name?" he thought.
Hermione looked between the two, wondering what was going on.
"So, Ed, where are you from?" she asked, trying to break the silence.
"Resembool, Amestris." Hermione placed two and two together, she knew Eron was from Amestris as well.
Artemis looked up from his book for the first time since Ed had entered, he could deny that having two people from one of the most secretive countries in the world wasn't interesting.
On top of that unlike other countries that were behind, Amestris had technology similar to most of the world's technology during the second world war.
Ed quickly went over his cover in his head, he could only hope that the younger Amestrian caught on.
"Aren't you Colonel Merkava's daughter? I thdink wve met wvhen my adoptive fathder, Colonel Mustang, brought me to thde annual ball."
Luckily for Ed, Eron's father had taught her to know when someone wants her to continue said person's cover.
Eron smiled and nodded. "Yep! Thdat's me."
Artemis hid his smirk behind his book.
They were close to the government* as well, this was looking to become an interesting year.
Hermione looked at the pair on either side of her.
"Merkava, your father's in the military?" Hermione asked her.
Eron nodded. "Yes, he's in the same division as Edwvard's adoptive fathder." Eron gave Ed a look asking him if state alchemists were declassified.
"Thdey're state alchemists," Ed told the other four, informing Eron that at least that was okay to tell.
Danny was surprised, he was having trouble that Eron grew up knowing soldiers personally, let alone her father being a state alchemist. He had done a essay on Amestris before the 'accident', he had read that state alchemists were sometimes called 'dogs of the military'
Percy had also heard of Amestris, he had been told by Annabeth that there was little known about the country as mortals knew about the real Greek myths.
A somewhat comfortable silence passed. the only sounds were those of the train.
A/N: Thanks for reading! Please review and ask me questions if you're confused! Do you guys like Eron so far?
*1: Yes Artemis knows that Amestris is a military run country.
Matt: Sorry I didn't make this clear, Danny, Artemis, and Percy all came before Harry and so, were able to get on the train. Ed came later, but was Apparated there.
