Crossing the river and meeting Aslan
Lauren's P.O.V.:
So happy that Father Christmas came and gave me my present it felt so good to know that my ancestor was looking down on me in order to fulfill what was handed down to me. We walked across the snow portions of the world until we arrived at a waterfall to see it breaking up.
Logan's P.O.V.:
Well the river did look big and the waterfall too. "That is one waterfall alright," I whistled to the others. "Your telling me bro, this is huge," James added. I'm not sure if we'll cross in time because it could be a life or death situation. "Okay guys, we need to cross now before the waterfall cracks," Kendall told us. "Can we make a dam to hold it," Lauren asked. "Not really Lauren we don't have much time before this breaks," Mr. Beaver told us. "He's right. We only have matter of minuets before any damage," I added in. "Ok, everybody move down," Kendall said as we started to walk down to the bank. "Guys hold on can we think about this for a second," James asked. "No! We don't have time to think," we shouted at James. "I'm just trying to protect my face," he defended. "James, we don't have much time come on," I told him as we walked down and soon heard a howl. "The wolves," Lauren realized. "They must have tracked our scent. I thought we cleaned it up," James told me. "No I guess not. Come on, let's move people and fast," Kendall announced as we walked down the cliffs. "You sure this will work Logan," Lauren asked me. "I hope," I admitted honestly.
Third person's P.O.V.:
Meanwhile the wolves that belonged to the King tracked the scent of the descendants and their friends when Father Christmas came and howled a message to their ruler who understood it with a nod and a glare to Carlos who sat there are cold, alone, and hungry. He never wanted to be like Edmund, who betrayed everyone for sweets, he wanted to fulfill the prophecy just as much the others do meant to betray his friends or Lauren. He just sat there crying as the sleigh kept going to find the humans. "Stay strong guys, I'll find you," Carlos vowed silently as the ice and snow caked onto his body as he shivered in the cold.
James's P.O.V.:
We made it to the ledge of the waterfall and soon went on soft ground. Kendall placed his foot forward to step on a ice flow but it cracked. "Whoa, okay I need to be more careful with that," he realized before stepping back. "Kendall can I go first please? I think I have an idea," Beaver asked him. "Sure please anything. I have a feeling we don't have much time," he told him. Beaver slowly started to tap his tail across the ice flows to make sure they were safe. "Beaver, were you sneaking second helpings again," Mrs. Beaver asked him. "Yes and honestly you may never know what your last meal might be. Besides your cooking," he admitted. Mrs. Beaver blushed as Beaver walked. "It's fine guys, just go slowly on the ice flows. It will keep us balanced," he told us. "Okay, were coming," Kendall called as we slowly got on the ice flows and started to walk across them. "Oh boy Kendall, if our moms had any idea on what is happening they would freak out," I admitted to Kendall as we walked. "You got that right James, though they are not here so were good," Kendall agreed as we walked halfway through when we heard growls and felt ice spikes coming from the top. Lauren looked up and saw what was happening. "Guys! We have company, they found us," she shouted looking at the wolves who were coming to waterfall. "Hurry, run guys," Kendall shouted as we tried to move over to the side where the wolves were but we stopped quickly. "Were blocked," I panicked hoping we find another way out of it. "Quick, try to go the other way back," Logan suggested as we tried to go back but wolves were surrounding that edge too and we were stuck on the ice flow.
"We can't seem to go back," I noticed. "You guys stay here, I'll take care of these posers," Mr Beaver said heading over to them. "Are you nuts," we yelled together. "Maybe I am, maybe not," he admitted. Mr. Beaver was growling and hissing to defend us; however a wolf got him. "No," Mrs. Beaver cried out. Then afterwards I heard Lauren cry, "Kendall!" Then swift as he was he drew his sword almost ready to kill him but hesitant. "Put that down boy. You know someone could get hurt," taunted Maugrim. "Kendall, don't worry about me. Run him through you got this," Beaver told him. "I was going to say leave now while you can, and your friend goes with you. Or should I say brother," he told us. "Never. They won't follow you Maugrim. Your all about false promises," Keira defended us. "Kendall, don't listen to him. He's trying to trick us," I pleaded to my friend. We soon heard a dark chuckle come from the wolf. "You are a very bad boy and princess to naïve," he remarked. "Don't listen to him Kendall! Kill him now," Beaver yelled at him. I looked to see Kendall still hesitant but holding up his sword still. "Come on, we all know this isn't your war," he taunted. "No! This is our war," I told Maugrim. "You stole what is rightfully ours," Logan added. "No, my master did. All my king wants from you is to take your friends and go," he smirked. "We are the chosen descendants and just because Maugrim says it is not, doesn't mean we follow him. We will continue on our way to Aslan, so kill him Kendall," I begged Kendall as he still stood like a statue. "Listen to your friends Kendall, they count on you like all of us do," Beaver screamed. "Don't let him tempt you Kendall. You are Peter's descendant. I believe in you," Lauren told him.
"So what's it gonna be descendant? I don't have all day. Neither will the river," he exclaimed to us.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
I looked and saw the river beginning to crack like expensive pottery. "KENDALL! LOOK," I screamed and knew it was going to happen. The walls going to break.
"Everybody grab onto me and fast," Kendall yelled over the cracking. "On it," we said grabbing onto him as he plunged his sword into a piece of ice right on time as the river finally fell out of the shell. I must admit it was scary. Then a wave of water hit us and we screamed. Well, more like Kiera and I. Then darkness and water splashed onto us covering our vision and we were holding our breaths for a while. Afterwards, we made it through and slowly popped out of the water all wet and choking a little bit riding the rapid waters of the river.
Kendall's P.O.V.:
I clinged onto the ice flow like the others as we rode the water coaster if you will before the beavers moved the flow to shore, thank goodness. So, we made onto land and shook off the water that was on us as we were getting ready to move again but in my hands were Lauren and Logan's jackets. But no sign of them. Oh no! James looked over and saw what was in my hand. "Dude what've you done," James exclaimed seeing the coats in my hands. He soon looked down the river trying to find them. "Lauren!? Logan," James exclaimed as the water still flowed from where we were. "Lauren! Logan," James and pretty much all of us yelled one more time but still no avail until. "Hey has anyone seen our coats," Logan's voice rung out for us to hear. "Yeah were freezing over here," Lauren added in as well. We turned and saw Lauren and Logan walking towards us while shivering and I was just relieved and gave them their coats while hugs as well to spread the warmth. "Don't you worry you two, you got great friends looking out for you," said Mr. Beaver with a smile. Lauren grinned and so did Logan. "And I have a feeling you guys won't need your coats anymore. Look," Keira announced seeing flowers on the tree. We looked to see what she meant and smiled walking past the tree. I soon placed my sword back in the sheath as I walked near Logan and Lauren, in case they need more warmth. We soon arrived at a tree grove and decided at that moment to take off our winter coats and materials before continuing on the road. Suddenly, I felt more light and free as we headed to a camp with flags I could see in the distance.
Kiera's P.O.V.:
Pretty soon we continued our journey and spring began to appear here with cherry blossoms blooming, the warm of Aslan and spring just bowing down at you. Oh it such a magical feeling. I wish it could just hold on for forever. Then I noticed James, Kendall, Logan, and Lauren's outfits change like magic. Instead of their winter outfits they wore clothes like they would wear for spring. For example, Lauren wore a floral dress just like Queen Lucy with cordial, belt, and dagger around her waist. James on the other hand, wore a crisp white shirt like someone would wear for work even tartan pants. Logan was different even though he wore a school uniform, I think. Then there was Kendall who looked so handsome in an Oxford like long sleeve shirt and gray overall like pants. We walked through the beauty and it just seemed magical. I caught up with Lauren and Logan and talked through our walk together and they told me the story of their friendship.
(Meanwhile back at the waterfall)
Hawk's P.O.V.:
How could this happen. I was standing at the waterfall with Carlos and was fuming that this cracked again. Oh, Aslan you did this to me. "What, how could they," I asked stunned seeing the damage with my very eyes. "You know its so nice out," Ginnabrick remarked with awe before I stared at him along with Carlos. "Oh uh, I'll be right be back after checking the sleigh," he stuttered before walking back to the sleigh.
Carlos' P.O.V.:
"I'm glad they made it. I know there on their way to meet Aslan. Don't worry guys, I'll come find you. I promise. I'll be with the army," I whispered to myself hoping they wouldn't hear the message. I soon felt the presence of Hawk as he turned to me when I mumbled those words. "What did you say," he asked in a low voice. "Nothing," I lied. "Your Majesty," a voice sounded. We turned and I saw Maugrim who got me before hand. What does he want now? "We found a traitor, he was running your enemies in the Shuddering Woods last night near the Palm Woods Park," he reported and soon dropped the fox on the ground before him as I followed behind at a distance. "Ah pleasant of you drop by. I heard you were helpful to my wolves and maybe I don't know perhaps you can help me now," he told the fox. Yet, the fox was looking in my eyes for some odd reason. "Please forgive me Your Majesty," he bowed to me. "Oh please. Stop wasting my time with your flattery," Hawk scoffed. Oh shut up. "I don't mean to seem rude, but I wasn't talking to you," he snapped back.
"Then who were you talking to," he taunted. "Him," he said looking at me with a smile. I looked up and smiled at this while Hawk was in shock but soon turned his wand to the fox. "Tell me where the descendants are headed and you will be spared," he commanded before the fox hung his head in silence. I have to do something, he can't do this to a creature. "Wait! Don't hurt him! I will take his place," I said jumping in front of the fox and Hawk before he got stoned by the wand. "You will what," Hawk asked slowly with a look a oddness on his face. "I will take his place for him. He doesn't need to give you any information," I said to him before backing away from the fox.
"Well Carlos, if there is one thing I am glad to see is a creature sacrificing himself for another," he remarked with a smirk before turning to the fox again. "Before he dies," he announced before stabbing him with the wand and turning him to stone. "NO," I shouted before I felt the coldness of his eyes staring at me and soon the slap of a hand on my face that honestly felt like a hockey puck. "I want you to think about whose side you really want to be on Carlos. Are you on my side? Or theirs? Don't let your sacrifice get in the way of my plan," he growled before facing the wolves. I can't let this happen, I don't want to be silent. I know who's side I'm on. "Your plan Hawk? No, more like the plan laid out for me," I said to him as he turned to face me. "You hurt innocent creatures, but I would not betray my friends or family to you again like what Edmund did and he was redeemed because of it," I accused as he still looked at me with a smirking look of oh I know. "You tempted James to betray us and he did but came back to his senses. I won't let that happen again. I am the descendant of King Edmund the Just! So, do what you want to me," I yelled at the Wizard staring at him with sire in my eyes but also wanting to extend my mercy in hopes of this not happening down another path for someone.
"You know, your speech made a point to me. You are Edmund's descendant but it won't be easy," he silently spoke. I wasn't sure if he was talking to me before facing the wolves once again. "Dwarf, tie him to a tree. Go on ahead and gather our faithful. If its a war Aslan wants again," he told the wolves before a butterfly turned to stone. "It's war he shall get," he admitted before heading over to the sleigh. "This way to your throne prince," the dwarf taunted tying me with a rope once again. "I'll be waiting guys," I mumbled looking out over the horizon to a camp far off in the distance.
(Back with the others)
Lauren's P.O.V.:
Logan and I now relieved, were telling Keira our story of when we first met to now as we walked over to Aslan's camp. All of a sudden the valley soon became open and revealed a meadow. "Logan, looke," I breathed. "Aslan's camp. Were here," he admitted. Then we looked up and saw a centaur blowing his horn to announce our arrival as we continued to step into the camp. Logan and I turned to one of the trees and soon saw a dryad waving to us and we waved back with a huge smile. We soon joined the others at the entrance and as with one step, all of us entered the camp where the creatures began to notice us and bowed to us with whispers were going around like, "Oh my gosh they're here and so is Princess Kiera," . All of them staring in amazement as we walked in. "Guys, why are they staring at us," James questioned through gritted teeth. "Maybe they think you look funny," I said with a chuckle. "Lauren. They stare at us because we are the descendants of the kings and queens," Logan told me and I knew he was right.
Kendall's P.O.V.:
Then we arrived at a grassy to dirt terrain where I looked and saw a centaur on a lower rock near a tent in the middle of the rock. It was pretty large as well, I admit. Next to him weaving through the crowd, I could see my mom and Katie coming forward. "Kendall," mom greeted seeing me once again. "Mom," I smiled embracing her in my arms before seeing Katie and hugged her. "Hey baby sister," I smiled. "Hey big bro," she grinned before looking at the main tent. She nodded as I joined the others in the middle and they looked me while I stared at the centaur. I unsheathed my sword and said with a slight amount of confidence with it raised in salute, "We are here to see Aslan. We are the descendants of the kings and queens of Narnia ". Everyone began to murmur; but the five of us looked towards the tent and saw its flaps moving with the breeze. All of a sudden, I turned around with the others and saw them kneeling to the ground and Orieus to.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
Then, Logan and I looked and noticed two big paws emerging from the tent and it was Aslan. "Aslan. He's here," I breathed. Then I let a huge grin slowly creep up my face and Logan's did too as we saw him so beautiful and majestic. Then all six of us bowed together on knee and I felt my knee against the grass. Then he began to speak and his voice was so golden, rich and brave. "Welcome Kendall, James, and Logan descendants of Adam. Welcome Lauren descendant of Eve. Welcome home Kiera, my eldest and welcome to you beavers. You have my thanks but where is the fifth," he said. That's when a sad expression loomed on my face.
James's P.O.V.:
"That's why were here sir. We need your help," said Kendall rising as everyone followed. "We had a little trouble along the way," I chimed in. "Our friend Carlos is captured by the White Wizard," Kendall informed him. "Captured? How could this happen," Aslan questioned. "He, he felt a pull of the Wizard's magic Your Majesty. We guess it must have been in him when he came with the others yet still understood the legend," Mr. Beaver explained as gasps were heard from everyone. I looked to see Katie shocked and looking at us even her mom. I nodded saying not to worry. "Then, he could betray us all and the kingdom," Oreius growled. "No. He wouldn't do that," I answered honestly. "Peace Orieus. Don't jump to conclusions. I'm sure there's a worthy explanation in this," Aslan answered looking at us. "We don't know to be quite honest Aslan. This isn't Carlos. He told us it's been there since he was born but is defying the odds," Kendall explained. I soon placed my hand on his shoulder Kendall looked like he was going to break down in tears. "All of us didn't know," I added looking at Aslan who smiled.
"Aslan, he's our friend. Can you help us? Please? We don't want anything bad to happen to him," Lauren asked softly. "I know and will dear ones. But, that makes the mystery all the worst. This may be harder than you think," he told us as we nodded in agreement. "In the meantime, everyone back to work. General escort their majesties to their tents. Have them rest a bit," Aslan commanded. "Of course sire. Come along your majesties," he told us as we left the main tent and walked towards the tents we would be staying in. Surprisingly, all of them were the main tent which was pretty convenient for us if you will.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
"I trust you will be alright now," Orieus asked. "We will. Thank you Orieus," I told him with a smile. "My pleasure Your Majesty," he smiled before leaving. I looked at Logan and the others who were at their tents and smiled before I walked in to see servants in the tent. "Uh hello," I called to them gently. They looked up once I said hello and I was surprised to see dryads, nymphs, and fauns standing there. "Oh. Your Majesty Queen Lauren. Forgive us for not seeing you," the first nymph spoke curtsying to me and was honestly startled. The fauns and other creatures followed as well. "All is forgiven. Please rise all of you, no need to bow before me," I told them as they rose up. "We must Queen Lauren. It's part of protocol," a faun answered. "I know and understand. Oh, I'm sorry I didn't catch your names," I realized. "No need to apologize Queen Lauren. We were going to introduce ourselves anyway. I'm Atlantia, your head lady in waiting your majesty," she curtsied. "I'm pleased to meet you Atlantia," I smiled. "You as well Queen Lauren. I like to present and introduce to you your other ladies in waiting, Stela, Assia, Lavenda, Ruple, and Lily," Atlantia introduced as they came forward and curtsied to me. "Pleasure to meet you all," I grinned. "The pleasure is all ours. Your Majesty. We've been awaiting your arrival for some time," Lily told me. "Well, I hope my absence didn't leave you waiting for too long," I chuckled.
"No, it did mot my queen. Come, lets help you change clothes," Ruple said leading me to a screen and soon I changed from my floral arrival dress to that of my ancestor at Aslan's camp. Yes, I'm wearing her dress. After changing, I walked over to a mirror and was surprised to see the dress fit me with the little buttons and embroidery. I couldn't help but shed a tear. "You look amazing my queen," Assia smiled as she worked on my hair before putting little flowers in, thanks to the nymphs. I wonder how Logan is doing.
Logan's P.O.V.:
After we went to our own tents, I was pretty much introduced to my servants where the kindest, amazing people ever. I mean you got satyrs, fauns, even people like us and the drayds. How can I forget that? Oh, I just finished getting changed into a over flowing tunic that went to my knees over the tan trousers of course. Underneath the tunic was a woven gray shirt that complimented the tunic in a sense. A teal green embroidered jerkin was placed on top of the shirt and tunic as well so it was pretty much comfy for me. It also had tan trousers and a pair of brown boots that were complete with a red belt around the waist that held my cordial and sword to be used at any given time. I took a deep breath as I walked out of my tent to see Kendall standing outside looking towards the horizon. "Hey Kendall didn't see you there. You look great," I said walking over to him. "Thanks Logan. You look great as well. What are you doing out," he answered. "James, Lauren, and I are going to the river for a bit. Want to join us," I asked. "I'm good. Aslan requested to see so I'm going to see him," Kendall told me. "Okay, but your more than welcome to join. Hey James, hurry up," I called to James. "Coming," he said poking his head out and startling the two of us. He soon came out already in a male version of Susan's archery dress and we walked over to the river for a little bit. I'm a little nervous on this.
Hope you all enjoy chapter 7! I apologize if it took long for me to upload so I will get Chapter 8 ready and this was composed with the melting river, Aslan's camp (alternate) and sadly soundtracks from the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe! Enjoy for now guys!
