Announcement Day
Lauren's P.O.V.:
The sunlight shone in my room through the curtains as I woke up the first time in my bedroom. I couldn't believe this was happening all to soon. I saw my ladies already going around the room like crazy. What's going on? "Uh ladies," I yawned looking at them. "Oh, good morning Queen Lauren sorry to disturb you," Lily told me with a curtsy. "No it's fine, please call me Lauren in private okay," I asked them. "Sure thing Lauren," Ruple answered. "Do I mind to ask why you ladies are running around like crazy," I asked confused. "Oh. A press conference is happening today, my lady. I think the boys have an announcement to make," Jane remembered. Then it clicked with me, the guys and I discussed last night when we arrived about the future of Big Time Rush. We agreed that the band would go on hiatus. I'm not sure how Griffin, will react to that but it's a risk they have to take you know. "Lauren, your dress is set," Willow told me as I got out of bed. I joined the ladies as I went into the bath tub to clean up and placed on a dusty pink dress with silver embroidery and little sparkles across the chest and near my shoulders where pink puffy sleeve things were and a silver belt cinched around the waist while my hair was perfectly curled and braided in the back with a silver hair clip holding the braids together. My ladies insisted on me wearing a headband or tiara with it but I kindly refused knowing I would wear one at the coronation ceremony. After I got dressed in my outfit, I walked over to the Great Hall doors to find Logan, Kendall, Carlos, James and Jayden waiting for Aslan and me to arrive. I decided to talk with the others yet i saw Logan walked to the side a little bit standing by the door. I excused myself from the conversation with Jayden and walked over to Logan. "Hey," I told him with a smile.
Logan's P.O.V.:
I can't believe this is it. Today's the day Big Time Rush comes to a close. I think the guys can agree that I am going to miss being in the band but I get to see them more than ever as a royal. Honestly, Big Time Rush became the most valued part of my life and now I'm just well scared. I wore the almost same doublet and shirt back at camp only in a different design complete with white pants and grey boots. I'm really still nervous how all of this will play out after we sat on the thrones during the coronation. What's going to happen then? "Hey," I heard Lauren's voice call to me as she came closer wearing her pink dress. "Hey," I smiled back at her. "You okay? I noticed you talking with the guys earlier not sure what was happening," Lauren told me. "Oh. I'm just a little nervous Lauren," I admitted. "Nervous about what," she asked. "Nervous on what will happen afterwards when we sit on those thrones on coronation day. What's going to happen then," I wondered. "Well, guess that's the fun part. We waited long to find out who we were meant to be and now our destiny is right here. We'll take it one day at a time as we always do okay," Lauren asked. "Okay," I smiled. Jayden came over looking at Lauren. "Everything okay," he asked. "Yeah Logan's a little nervous," she replied. "I know how you feel brother. Aslan should be here soon so we can start the conference," he told me. "Thanks man," I smiled and talked with him as Lauren went to talk with the others.
Third Person's P.O.V.:
Meanwhile in the Great Hall, everyone including the media were preparing for this moment. They couldn't believe the destined rulers will appear soon. Gustavo sat among the VIP's for the conference along with Kelly, Mrs. Knight and Katie. Everyone else of BTR's friends were at the Palm Woods or near Lauren's chamber since they were planning a special surprise for them that would occur after the speeches. "How do you feel Gustavo," Katie asked him. "Nervous and proud of the dogs. I never knew they had a stature of royalty within them not to mention the royalty of Narnia. I thought that was made up," he admitted. "Yes that's what I thought to you know, but I am glad things worked in the end because good triumphs over evil," Mrs. Knight smiled. "It sure does," Kelly grinned before we heard the doors at the end of the hall creak open. "Here we go," he whispered seeing the row of Lauren, Logan, Aslan, Kendall and Carlos come into the hall with Jayden near Lauren's side.
James's P.O.V.:
So today is the day for this announcement. This is it. I am really going to miss being in Big Time Rush but more importantly all of my friends that I got to know at the Palm Woods. It still feels odd that I'm really the descendant of Queen Susan the Gentle who doubted Narnia after the second adventure, but found her way back in the end. How can it be amazing to rule a kingdom, I never imagined it and I just hope this goes smooth sailing. Now the guys and I don't know how Griffin will react but hopefully he's okay with the decision. We soon heard the steps of velvet paws on the tile floors of Cair and turned to see Aslan along with Keira coming to us. I knelt down to them as they approached while the others followed. "Rise young ones, no need to kneel," he told us. We stood up and smiled. "Today's the day. It's time," he said to us. I grinned and we got into a row that we would walk in for the coronation ceremony. With a mighty breath, Aslan opened the doors of the hall and we just walked in letting the bulbs of cameras overtake our vision for now before reaching the podium right near the thrones well, on the bottom so to say. Anyway, fingers crossed that this goes well. Wish us luck.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
I cleared my throat and went to the podium that was almost directly in front of the thrones. Aslan came forward to me. "Aslan," I asked. "Dear one, I know this is late but may I make the announcement of confirmation," he asked. "Of course Aslan," I smiled and soon stepped aside as he came to the podium. "Good morning everyone here in Cair Paravel and to those tuning in on TV and radio. Thank you so much for being here with us on this day. I am Aslan, the true king of Narnia son of the Emperor beyond the Sea but the guardian of all the world. I have watched over this world for a long time and brought with me from Narnia the ancient order of the Lion prophecy that as of lately rumors had spread a long time ago about whether Big Time Rush and Lauren are the descendants of the Kings and Queens of Narnia, well I am pleased to say and to announce to all of you, my friends and people I can confirm and proclaim to all of you that these five who stand before you who bear my birthmark on their shoulders given at birth are the descendants of Lucy the Valiant, Edmund the Just, Susan the Gentle, Caspian the Tenth and Navigator, and Peter the Magnificent, High kings and queens of Narnia," Aslan said speaking into the microphone. Everybody applauded at the announcement and were overjoyed at this. I soon walked up to the podium and Aslan nodded for me to go ahead with the next portion of the speech. "As your soon to be rulers to the people of Narnia and Los Angeles, we promise to you that we shall serve you in any trouble, any need and our reign which starting now is hereby dubbed the new Golden Age will be filled with hope, peace and prosperity for our nation," I proclaimed and everyone applauded at the announcement. I looked over at Jayden as he looked confused before Aslan nodded and the guys sort of pushed him to the front. "Lauren, what are you doing," Jayden asked. This is it, time to surprise him.
"And we are pleased to announce, that I have reunited with my lost brother Jayden Michael Shiba Ruiz who I proclaim as my first act as soon to be queen, from this time on will be known as Lord Jayden Michael Shiba Ruiz, Royal Advisor to their Majesties," I announced and everyone cheered as Jayden looked shocked. "You mean it Lauren," he whispered. "I mean it Jayden," I told him while looking at my brother. "Lauren I love you," he said before giving me a big hug and twirling me. "I love you Jayden," I said embracing my brother some more as everybody awed. I soon heard a clear of a throat and the guys came forward ready to speak. "Oh right. I now pass the podium to my friends, Big Time Rush who have an announcement for their fans. Thank you all again for coming," I smiled as they clapped and I stepped back while the boys walked up. "Good luck guys," I whispered as they went up to the podium. "We don't need it," Logan whispered to me. I just shrugged.
Kendall's P.O.V.:
"Good morning everyone. Thank you again so much for coming. It means the world," I said into the microphone. "Before we get to this announcement, we want to send our gratitude to our friends, family and all of those who fought besides us in the battle a few days ago, we would not be here today without your support for us and defending our nation so thank you," I spoke as the crowd applauded. "Now onto the announcement. What were about to say will impact fans of our music and our main producer. We have spoken at lengths with Gustavo yesterday and he has full on support of our decision," Logan said speaking to the crowd. I took a deep breath. Well, here goes nothing. Carlos was also at the podium and he spoke the announcement, "Today we announce and confirm to all our fans…that as of today and this time Big Time Rush will go on hiatus indefinitely," Carlos announced. "What" everyone shouted and began to bombard us with questions. I bet our fans are upset.
Gustavo's P.O.V.:
I smiled at the guys as everyone gasped and began bombarding with questions, asking why, is this a trick or stuff like that. Aslan led out a loud roar that calmed everybody down right then and there as they heard the guys speak.
Logan's P.O.V.:
"Now I know you have questions about this but I can tell you the reason the band is on hiatus starting today is being the descendants of the kings and queens of Narnia comes with great responsibility and a full amount of dedication into a ruling a kingdom. We found that if we were to balance music and ruling, it would be hard to juggle them both," I clarified for the crowd who were relieved at this. James came from behind me and spoke to press, "We know you all our shocked and confused; but it is our choice and we choose to do so and ask for support of our decision. We would like to express our thanks to those who have been on the journey with us from day one. To Gustavo our producer, thank you for being who you are to all of us. I know you will miss calling us dogs," James said and everyone chuckled at that.
"But you helped us so much and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts," I added as the press including Lauren and Jayden applauded for Gustavo as he stood up and waved to the crowd. "To the people of Global Net Sanyoid and their CEO Arthur Griffin, thank you for being our launching pad and sponsor from the beginning but also another record producer to us. We could not be more honored and grateful throughout all the trials you gave us so thank you," James said in the mic as everyone applauded. "Finally, to all our fans out there watching or tuning in, we can't thank you enough for this journey we had and who knows maybe down the road we may make music; but you are always in our hearts and we all love you to death. So thank you" Carlos said as everyone applauded including Lauren and Jayden. "Again, to all of those who we mentioned a thanks to you and those we didn't thank you, for all you have done we will miss you but know we are your friends and we promise the best in the Golden Age. Thank you all again for coming," Kendall spoke and we walked from the podium back into our rooms with much applause and smiles. Well, Lauren's room actually. We all sat around her bed or on her bed talking about how the conference went. " That was great guys," Jayden told us. "Thanks buddy," I replied.
"I can't believe Lauren named you Royal Advisor," James smiled. "Well, actually I didn't expect it. She mentioned something about a surprise before we walked in," he admitted. Yeah she did and she begged us to keep it secret for the time being but it must be great to be back with your sister," I told Jayden. "It is," he replied as we talked a while about how nervous we were feeling until Lauren started to hear music. "Guys we'll be thinking about you Worldwide, worldwide, worldwide. Guys we'll be thinking you," voices started to sing from the palace stones. "Do you guys hear that," I asked them. "Yeah it's music. It must be coming from outside," Lauren said as we followed her to her balcony letting the voices and music grow as we got closer.
Lauren's P.O.V.:
I opened the door to my balcony and walked out with the guys and Jayden to see our friends from the Palm Woods and their fans singing the ballad more like their ballad, Worldwide. I looked at Logan who was overcome with emotion and tears sort of feel from his cheeks as I gave him a hug. The others had tears in their eyes as the people finished singing the song. I applauded and so did the guys. They turned to see us and smiled. "Surprise," they said to us and I couldn't help but smile. "Camille, did you plan this," James asked. "Yep. A whole bunch of your fans and your buddies got together to do this, were proud of you guys," she answered. "Thank you Camille," Logan told her with a tearful smile. "No thank you guys. You brought hope and peace to Los Angeles and Narnia. Now it's our turn to return the favor," she told him before sipping into a curtsy and everyone followed with bow either way. I smiled and looked at the guys including Jayden who grinned knowing this was his destiny. "You guys don't have to do this," Carlos told her. "We planned it Carlos so thank you guys best of luck and we just want to say," Camille replied before everyone cried out, "LONG LIVE THE DESCENDANTS OF THE KINGS AND QUEENS OF NARNIA," Aw. "Thank you guys. We love you," the boys and I told them. "Love you guys too," they said before we went back into my room. "That was an amazing surprise," Logan grinned. "Yeah and we didn't see it coming," James added. " Yeah. Well guys, how about we get some pre-coronation stuff done," I said to the guys. "Let's go," they answered as we soon left my room to continue with coronation planning.
