The cubs laughed as once again Maji attempted to pin Kiara. As the black Prince circled his target he was distracted by the others smart remarks.

"Come on Maji. You don't want to be known as the prince who lost to a girl now do you?" Kopa joked only to gulp when Hafsa glared at him.

"And just how many times did you beat me Kopa?" She smirked and raised an eyebrow as he grumbled and shuffled his paws to make a comeback.

After a minute, kopa mustered what Hafsa assumed was his brave face. "I only lost to you cause mom said to be respectful to girls." He said puffing his chest out with some bravado.

Hafsa rolled her eyes and playfully smirked as she crouched down. "Shall we see if that's true?"

Kopas eyes widened and he quickly followed with, "Maji's already filthy from his numerous losses, we don't need to make our mothers more furious by being dirty as well."

Hafsa rolled her eyes but returned to her seated position on her haunches. "Ok fine."

Nurisha giggled and then after nudging her snowy sister. "He's more afraid of losing to you then suffering a bath. Don't you think sis?" Her sudden outburst made not only Hafsa chuckle but all the other Cubs as well. Only Kopa wasn't laughing as he scrunched his face into a grumpy pour and made 'hmph sound.

Maji who was trying to find an opportune moment to strike grumbled in his head without taking his eyes off Kiara. Am I just a shadow on the ground cause no one is letting me concentrate?

Babu tried to suppress a chuckel but failed as he blurted out, "ok. Everybody be quiet as Maji tries to concentrate on something for once."

This time surprising everyone, usually sibling protective Boga growled at her brother. "Like you are any better. You always lose focus when a fly passes by."

Babu glared at his sister. "That's not true sis. I always pay complete and full... Doesn't that bee look awesome?" He suddenly said as his eyes went from glaring at her to curiously following a bee as it buzzed past his face.

"And her point is made." Kimba pointed out sighing and then paw fiving Boga.

Maji growled. "I appreciate the defense but not helping."

Kopa then groaned. "Can we hurry? I'm getting hungry and I think it's close to lunch."

Boga suddenly grinned at her brother and said. "Kiara quick win again so we can eat."

"And Im back to everyone except my sisters supporting Kiara again." Maji sighed at her quick side change before he turned to Kiara who was not looking at him. He looked up at the sky quickly and prayed oh Queen of lionesses give me some luck in this fight. Seeing she was still not looking he ran. "NOW!" He shouted and pounced from her left as she turned her head to look at a sound on her right.

He at first expected her to jump and pin him down by rolling with him but was surprised when she squealed and rolled before he pinned her roughly down. "Pinned Ya!"

Cire cheered. "And the score now changes from Kiara 5 and Maji 1." She said with a slight chuckle with the others.

Ignoring the others laughs, Maji helped Kiara up. "You ok?" He asked when she started rubbing her front left leg.

"Just a little sore from that sudden tackle." She admitted before a cheetah chirp if he could call it that came from behind them and when Maji looked he saw an enormous brown lion with a tan mane and vicious looking brown eyes glaring at him and his friends.

Kopa started shaking next to his cousins aside from Maji who was closest. "Maji get back. You too Kiara."

"Maji? As in Prince Maji?" The lion asked with a growl and strangely a wicked smile.

"Yeah. What about it?" Maji asked trying to be brave in front of the lion.

"Well now I can have several reasons why I can hurt you. First of all, you're on my land."

Nurisha growled. "Filthy rogues have no land!" She then jumped in fear when he made snapping gesture at her.

"Quiet little girl. Or I'll eat you first."

Kiara then ran to the lion despite Maji trying to grab her. "Daddy don't hurt them. They're my friends!" She said clinging to his legs.

All the other Cubs eyes widened. "Daddy?!"

"Now now honey. Didn't that little black Prince hurt your leg?"

Kiara shuffled her paws wincing a bit with her stinging leg. "I just let my guard down. He didn't mean too."

"Never the less, he hurt you so he must die." He growled and advanced toward the Prince.

Maji thought about running but seeing that the rock face was too high for him to climb fast enough Maji just ran towards his friends.

The lion pounced at the cub only for a thunderous roar to ring through the air and for him to be knocked onto his back as he saw a silver blur causing him to growl. "You!"

"Well if it isn't Hiassen. Your throat still hurting?" He smirked referring to the injury he gave to the lion before defeating Scar.

While, King Kali dealt with the rogue, the Cubs were herded except for Kiara, out of the Outlands by the small creature that had lead him there. "This way Cubs. Stay near me." The creature was obviously feminine and tomboyish as Kopa and Maji both noted she sounded like their Aunt Tama back home.

Nurisha looked over the weird cat with Kimba. She had spots like a leopard but was smaller than any adult she had heard of. She was most likely a cub. "Probably separated from her mother." Nurisha suggested to her friend.

"Wait who was separated from their mother. I can help find them." The supposed leopard cub asked Nurisha who laughed.

"No. We thought you were a leopard cub who was separated from her mother."

"Leopard?!" She laughed at the Cubs who each raised an eyebrow at her.

"What's so funny about that?" Kopa asked with a look.

"I'm not a leopard. I'm a serval. I came here a few weeks ago and live near this area thanks to King Simba. My name is Nuru." She said proudly raising her head after declaring her species and name.

"What's a ser-" Hafsa was about to ask before Maji broke into the conversation.

"I don't care who you are or what you are. We can't just leave my dad alone back there. We have to go back." He demanded.

"Your father will be fine." Nuru stated simply.

"I'm sorry miss. My cousin isn't usually like this. It's just King Kali doesn't have enough fighting experience with rogues. Dad said he chooses not to patrol the borders." Kopa explained calmly but still very afraid for his Uncle.

"Yeah we have to go back for Daddy." Hafsa protested.

"You don't have to worry. He might be rusty from being royalty but Uhami won't lose so easily." She smirked.

The Cubs looked at her like she was two headed. "Who the heck is Uhami?" Maji asked.

The air seemed heavy as Kali kept Hiassen pinned. Even Kiara trembled for she could feel the pure hate between the two lions

Kali kept the pressure on Hiassen's throat constant. "How dare you try to hurt my son and scare my daughters?!" He snarled lowly in his face.

Through labored breaths, Hiassen growled back. "How dare he try to hurt my daughter?"

Kali raised an eyebrow and gazed slightly at the little tan cub who quickly hid behind a rock. "She's yours?"

"Well when a mommy lion and a daddy lion love each other very much then they can have Cubs or did you not get that far in your relationship? He chuckled only to choke when Kali enhanced the pressure.

"You ever get close to my Cubs or so much as think of my mate, I will finish what I started." Kali threatened before he slashed him in the face and padded back over the border.

"This isn't over Kali. Your kingdom and your mate will be mine. And the waters will run red with your blood and that of your cubs. I swear it!" Hiassen yelled.

Snarling at Hiassens threat, Kali joged to where he could smell the Cubs with the serval. But in the distance he heard something. "Great Queens above, what did I do to deserve so many new situations in one day?"

Outtake:

Watching from the shadowy peak was a small black cub with a dangerous secret.

He stood at the edge of the peak and raised his paw over his face. "I am Furry. I am the Night. I AM BATCUB!" He roared and as the moonlight shined down on him it was seen that over his head was one of Rafiki's gourds and on his back was a surprisingly large black leaf.

Running down the side of Pride Rock, he stopped hearing a squeal for help.

"Come on . Give me my zebra leg back." Whined a girlish voice as Batcub saw that young Boga was leaping for a zebra leg that his Uncle was dangling over her and just out of her reach.

Batcub charged and tackled Joker's side causing him to fall onto the dirt and drop the zebra leg which Boga viciously took back. "Thank you Batcub!"

Joker growled and brushed his purple mane back. "Curse you Batcub!"

Batcub chuckled as he padded back to his den and threw away the black gourd and leaf only to hear an ahem from behind.

"Crap!" He mumbled and turned and smiled sweetly at the red lioness staring down at him. "Hi Mom."

"Where were you Maji?" SHe asked with a stern gaze.

"Just out playing."

"Its dark out tonight son and look at you, you're filthy." She bent down and grabbed his scruff and then held him in her paws.

Maji whined. "PLEASE! ANYTHING BUT A BATH!"
