It has been waaayyyy too long since I have updated. I do apolize for that but there is no excuse for it. I think its been about 2 1/2 years since an update. Not really sure where the story is going any more but lets find out. I of course do not own any part of Burn Notice.

It was the beginning of July, Fiona was miserable. She complained all the times about the heat and how her back hurt, feet and legs hurt. Michael gave her as much space as he could without it being too obvious. Everyone else pretty much stayed away. Fiona was laying on the couch watching reruns of Family Feud when Michael came in from his run. He grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and went in to sit with Fiona. He lifted her legs carefully so he could sit. Just as he got comfortable Fiona started to sniff the air. Michael looked at Fiona, "What's wrong Fi?"

Fiona just looked at him for a minute. "Michael, you stink." She started to kick him off the couch with her feet. "Go shower, then you can come back and sit with me." Michael got up and started to head out of the room. "Oh Michael before you go, could you get me a bottle of water and a snack?" She asked with a sweet smile.

"Sure Fi, What would you like?" Michael walked into the kitchen.

"I don't care what you get me, just something to munch on."

Michael brought her the water and a yogurt. He handed it to her over the back of the couch, then went to take his shower. Fiona started with the bottle of water. As she started to drink she felt a spasm in her stomach. She sat up immediately and put her hands on her stomach and pushed a little. The spasm happened again but a little stronger. Fiona tried to stand up but couldn't she started feeling more pain then she had felt in a very long time. She tried calling out to Michael but it barely came out as a whisper. Ten minutes later Michael came back downstairs and saw Fiona sitting up on the couch instead of laying on the couch. Michael walked around the couch and saw Fiona was kind of rocking a little. "What's wrong Fi?" Michael made the last few steps to her and kneeled down in front of her.

Fiona wouldn't look up at Michael, just kept rocking. "I think I'm having contractions. All of the sudden I started getting spasms and now it just hurts a lot."

Michael did not want to freak out, he pinched the bridge of his nose and started to think. "Ok, this isn't a problem. I'll call the doctor and see what he says. If he says it could be time we go to the hospital, if its not time then we do whatever he says to do." Michael got off his knees and called the doctor. He was pacing the living room while talking to the doctor. After a few minutes he hung up the phone and sat next to Fiona. "Well the doctor said that you should go to the hospital to at least be checked out. You are really close to your due date so it could be time." Michael looked at Fiona who actually looked really scared. "You will be fine no matter what Fi. The baby will be fine. We are ready for this. Your hospital bag is packed and ready to go we just have to get you to the hospital." Michael stood up and tried to help Fiona up, but she wouldn't budge from the couch. "Fi I know your scared and in pain but we gotta go." Fiona just shook her head no. Michael thought for a moment. "OK Fi I'm going to carry you to the car." Michael carefully picked Fiona up in his arms and started to bring her out to the car.

"Michael don't forget my bag." Fiona said as he walked right passed the bag and out to the car. Michael placed Fiona in the car and ran to the driver side and got in. "Michael what about my bag?"

"If you end up having the baby I'll have Sam come and pick it up. I just want to get you to the hospital." Michael started the car and peeled out of the driveway and sped off to the hospital. About half way there Michael looked over at Fiona was taking deep breaths trying to keep under control. "How you doin Fi?" Michael took her hand.

"Michael just get me there. Whatever the pains are, are getting stronger." Fiona squeezed her eyes shut and squeezed Michaels hand tighter than she ever had before.

"Ok Fi we are almost there." A few minutes later they pulled up to the front of the hospital. Michael jumped out of the car and ran to Fiona's side and opened the door. "Do you think you could walk yourself or do you want me to carry you in?" Fiona just glared at Michael. "Ok then." Michael picked Fiona up and rushed her inside. Once inside Michael placed Fiona into a wheel chair that a nurse brought up to him. Michael quickly explained what was going on, and they rushed Fiona away.

Fiona started to scream for Michael until she saw him trotting next to her. He took her hand to try and comfort her. "I'm right here Fi its ok." They got Fiona settled into a room and changed into a gown. Michael was sitting in a chair filling out all kinds of paper work. "Michael." Fiona in a low voice said.

Michael got up from the chair and sat on the edge of the bed. "What's up Fi?" Michael took hold of Fiona's hand.

"Do you think that this is it? That maybe by the end of the day we will be parents?"

Michael had been thinking of nothing but that and it was scaring the crap out of him. "Yeah Fi I think this could be it. More than that I hope this it is. I hate seeing you so miserable. I know that you want this baby out of you so then you can start to feel like yourself again."

A nurse walked in then and took Fiona's vitals again. "So how are we doing?" The nurse asked.

"I was hoping you would tell me that. Am I going into labor or is it something else? I've heard so many stories about how women think they are going into labor and it just turns out to be gas or indigestion." Fiona tried to shift in the bed but couldn't find a comfortable way to sit.

The nurse was looking over her chart then looked up at Fiona and Michael. "I'm not a doctor so I can't say for sure but it looks like you will be parents soon. You are starting to dilate already. You are only at a three so don't get too excited. The Doctor will be in shortly to go over everything with you." The nurse put the new vitals into the computer and walked out of the room.

"I guess that kinda answers that question. We just have to wait for the Doctor now." Michael said as he rubbed Fiona's hand with his thumb. Fiona laid back on the bed to try and relax. Once she was sort of comfortable a ripple appeared on her abdomen. Both Michael and Fiona so it. "Holy shit Fi, what was that? Baby never moved like that before." Michael looked at Fiona's and saw that she was trying to hold in a scream. "Just let it out Fi. No one will thing any less of you if you scream." Michael mumbled to himself "Where the hell is the doctor?"

As if Michael conjured the doctor up by just thinking of him, he walked into the room. "Well hello Wendy, Michael. How are we doing today?" Dr. Damon walked over to Fiona and looked at the nurses notes and results on the computer in the room. "Well it looks like today may be the day. Hope you guys are ready."

Michael tried to get Fi to let go of his hand when he stood up, but Fiona wouldn't let go. "So Wendy really is having contractions? It's not some false alarm?"

"I don't think it's a false alarm, you are very close to your due date and from what I'm seeing I would say within the next 24 hours you two will be parents." Dr. Damon pulled a stool over to the foot of the bed. "Ok I need to check you know to see how you're progressing." The doctor pulled the sheet up after he saw Wendy nod in acceptance. After a few moments Dr. Damon pulled the sheet back down. "Ok things are progressing faster than expected. When you first came in you were only at a three now you are at a six. I don't know how much you know about this but it could take many hours to dilate that far. You dilated 3 centimeters in only an hour." Dr took a moment to make sure Michael and Wendy were in understanding of what he was saying so far. "Now I'm not saying the rest will be that fast but you are doing great so far." The doctor again looked at Michael and Wendy to make sure they were still understanding what was going on. They both looked like they were in shock. "Do you understand what I am saying?"

Michael sat back down on the bed shocked. He was under the impression it would take many hours for the baby to come. He knew either way he or she would come but he just didn't feel ready yet. He looked over to Fiona who seemed to be thinking the same thing. Michael started to say Fiona but stopped himself before anything came out. "Wendy? You ok with this?" Michael patted her hand to get her attention.

Fiona shook her head a little to say she understood but then another contraction hit her. She squeezed Michaels hand so hard he thought she may have broken it.

The doctor saw what was going on, "Would you like anything for the pain?" Fiona shook her head no. "Are you sure, once you pass a certain point we can't administer drugs. You seem to be quickly approaching that point." Fiona still shook her head no.

"Wendy are you sure?" Michael asked. "I know you are tough but this could be really painful. Why pain in that much pain if you don't have to?"

"Michael I do NOT want the drugs. They could have bad effects on the baby." Fiona looked at Michael with a look that said, do not ask me gain.

Michael took the hint and backed off. "Ok then. It's your choice."

The doctor excused himself from the room for now. Once Fiona was resting comfortably Michael called Sam to get Fiona's bag and his mom so they could be at the hospital when the baby was born, even though he had no idea how long it would take.

Four hours later Fiona was in the final stages of giving birth. Michael was dressed in scrubs and doing whatever he could to help Fiona through the delivery. Fiona was screaming in pain. The contractions were coming fast and furious. Fiona gripped the front of Michael's shirt and yelled, "I want the drugs Michael, please." Michael looked to the Dr who was at the end of the bed checking Fiona's progress.

The doctor looked up to the expecting parents, "Wendy, I don't know how to tell you this but it is way too late for the drugs. In fact this baby will be here very soon. Too be honest I'm surprised that it took you this long to beg for something for the pain. Most women would have asked two hours ago. You must have a very high tolerance for pain."

Michael looked to the doctor, "Yeah she can take pain pretty well." Then Michael looked at Fiona and smiled.

Another contraction started and Fiona screamed, "Oh my god I feel like I need to push."

The doctor quickly check her to see if she was indeed ready to push, "Wow Wendy you are ready to go. On the next contraction I want you to push. Ok?"

Just as that contraction was ending she felt the next one beginning. "Doctor I am very ready for this to be over." A few contractions later the baby was here.

The Doctor looked to Michael and asked, "Would you like to cut the cord?"

Michael looked at Fiona who gave him a nod to go and do it. Michael walked the two steps to where the baby was and cut the cord. Tears of joy were coming down his face. Once the cord was cut the nurse took the baby to be cleaned up and weighed. Michael walked back to Fiona took her hand and kissed it. "We have a boy." Then leaned in and gently kissed her lips. The nurse brought the baby over to the new parents and gave him to Fiona, who also had tears of joy streaming down her face.

Fiona looked at her son for the first time, "Oh Michael he is beautiful."

Michael had no words at that point he just nodded. It had been a very long day. He knew that it could have been a lot longer but he was glad that it was over. Madeline, Sam and Jesse came into the room once everyone was cleaned up and settled in. Madeline was first to hold the baby. She just kept smiling and making baby noises. Everyone had their chance to hold baby Westen. After an hour or so Michael saw that Fiona was falling asleep. Michael took the baby from his mother, "I think it's time for you guys to head out. Fiona is exhausted and so am I. We will see you tomorrow."

Everyone said their good byes and the new family was left alone. Michael was holding his son slowly pacing the room. "Michael we need a name for this little guy."

Michael stopped walking, "Yeah I know but I just don't know what name. DO you have any ideas?" Michael walked over to the bed and sat next to Fiona who reached to take her son.

Fiona was looking down at her son's face, "I just don't know yet. We don't need a name right now it can wait a day or so." Fiona reached over and put the baby into the little basinet next to her bed. "Michael I need to get some sleep and so do you." Michael nodded at her. "You are practically fallin asleep sitting there. Why don't you call the nurse to take the baby for a while and get some sleep. Either here in the chair or go home and sleep."

Michael stood up and called for the nurse to take the baby to the nursery. "I'm not going anywhere." Michael sat in the chair and got comfortable.

For now Michael and Fiona needed there sleep everything else will wait for now.

Once I started to write this chapter it just flew out of me. Not really sure how I feel about it. Hopefully some reviews will come my way to let me know if its any good.
