CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Doveheart sprinted into camp, flanks heaving with quick, shallow breaths. Xe didn't so much as think about what to do, passing through the clearing and dashing straight to Yellowstar's den. The leader was on xir paws the moment xe saw the state of the medicine cat's bristling pelt.
"The rogue is going to be at the fallen log at sunrise."
"You're certain?"
"Certain. He told me to meet him there, and I plan to—with Leechwhisker, and Spiderclaw, and Yewstorm, and anyone else who'll come with me. We'll make him wish he never set paw on KnollClan territory."
Yellowstar looked from the medicine cat to the broad sky behind xem and the faint beginnings of the dawn. Then xe returned xir gaze to Doveheart and narrowed xir amber eyes, xir muzzle wrinkling in the beginnings of a hearty snarl. "Let's go and meet him."
