"So, when are you going to ask Shinichi?"

Kaito turns his attention away from the boyfriend to the detective beside him, "Ask him what?"

"You know," Heiji gestures back to the dancing detective and the blissful bride in white, "Tying the knot?"

Kaito smiles after hearing his friend's question. Everyone in their circle of friends always thought that Shinichi and he will be the first one to get hitched. After all, they were the first one who announces their relationship, the longest one happily dating. It's only fair if they all thought so.

Yet here he is, as unmarried as ever, and attending Ran-nee's beautiful wedding to the one and only Tomoaki Araide.

"You should be worried about yourself first," Kaito snickers teasingly at his company, "I can see how disappointed Kazuha-chan was when she didn't get that flower bouquet."

The tanned detective frowns when the brunette reminds him about his beloved girlfriend. Kaito moves his eyes back to the dance floor, where Shinichi grins and bow politely at Ai Hakuba, nee Haibara, and asks bride's maid for a dance. No one would ever guess that Saguru and she were the first one to enjoy marital bliss. They announced it out of blue, when they were still in their twenty two's nonetheless, and before anyone knows it they are already living happily in England.

And now, less than two years later, the girl who got the flower bouquet in that wedding is following their step, and weds in the middle of breezy spring.

"Is that Heiji and marriage I heard?" Speak of the devil; the blonde himself is making his way to their table and sitting unceremoniously beside Kaito, looking at the dancing couple and sighing contently, "Isn't she the prettiest girl in the world."

"She is" Kaito agrees quietly, liking this version of Ai much better than her sharp, seven years old blonde girl counterpart, "And yes, we were talking about Heiji and marriage."

"Don't lie, we were talking about Shinichi, knot tying, and this guy," Heiji points his forefinger accusingly at the brunette, "Don't you dare change the subject,"

"I am not trying to change the subject~"

"No Kaito, seriously," Now the blonde is the one who looks at the magician pointedly, "Shinichi got the bouquet today, and you know the rule."

The brunette eyes the yellowish white freesias bouquet at the table in front of him, the one that fell straight to Shinichi's arm earlier, "Of course I know."

"So?" Kaito sees the expectant look from Saguru and smiles contently. His sight, yet again, is drawn to the beautiful figure on the dance floor. Kaito closes his eyes and remembers everything that has happened between him and his beloved detective. Their first meeting, the stolen cell phone, the talks, the big revelation, their struggles against them, and the stolen hearts, everything, "I-"

"Kaito!"

The brunette's eyes open wide at his name, and seeing his boyfriend standing there with an outstretched palm, "Dance with me."

The magician gets up and takes Shinichi's hand, throwing an apologetic look at the sulking detectives in his table, "Later, okay."

-x-x-x-

"The guys are wondering about us."

Shinichi sways slowly, following to the classic wedding music, "Wondering about us?"

"Yeah," Kaito tightens his hands around the other hips, bringing their body much closer, "About why I haven't asked you to marry me yet."

"Why is everyone assuming I was the girl in this relationship?"

"Maybe because you are way cuter than me," The brunette chuckles at Shinichi's obvious displeasure, "Though I don't think it matters so much."

"You just let them assume whatever they want, don't you?" Shinichi rakes his right hand through brunette locks, forcing the dance to come to a halt, and bringing their faces close, "You are the worst."

Kaito grins at his boyfriend display of dominance before kissing his lips lightly, "The worst ever."

"Why you haven't told them anyway?" The detective withdraws his hand from the other's hair and now fingering the ring shaped bump, the twin of the silver engagement band hanging on his own neck, under Kaito's blue shirt and black tie, "About us."

"I thought you don't want them to know yet."

"Why you thought of that?"

"You don't want to be stressed about wedding by Ran-nee," Kaito continues their dance again, moving together in harmony, "Not yet."

"How true," Shinichi closes his eyes, "You are the most considerate boyfriend in the world."

"Not to mention Kazuha-chan's relentless plead for you to hold flower bouquet in our wedding."

The detective laughs quietly at the thought, "I want a spring wedding Kaito."

"Then spring wedding it is," The magician stops moving and kiss the other's forehead, "Blossoming flower and you will make the prettiest thing in the world."

"Such a flatterer," Shinichi sighs in happiness, suddenly he opens his eyes and smirks, "And I do want to know how long we can keep this engagement from those prying detectives."

Kaito pecks that smirking pink lips softly, "Anything for my dear fiancé."
