A Boy and His Cat:

AN: First things first: I'm really, really, really, really, really sorry about the cliffhanger. Truth be told, I only added the Flamethrower in the end so that you guys didn't have to wonder if Ash had his pokemon stolen... I guess that backfired spectacularly...

Nevertheless, I think it's time I got a beta reader. If anyone's interested please PM me.

Mr. animeflunky: I'm glad you liked the fight, I put a lot of effort into it. Truth be told, I wanted to write it only when Ash had a full team (and he would still lose) but that's going to take a while and if he had seven badges before his first loss... Well, I would have to add a "God-like" tag to this story. I would comment on Meowth's evolution, but I want you guys to see what it means in the story, not here.

Mr. ERX06001, Mr. lightning king, Mr. karthik, Mr. foggraven, Mr. Hawk2012, Mr. Ninpou, Mr. Addicted to PJO, Mr. genbo, Mr. GhostWagon, Mr. Aipom4: Thanks for the support, it means a lot.

Mr. Dante R Vale: I'm glad you like the story so far, though I'll be honest and say that I have absolutely no intention of letting Giselle know that Ash talked to Clarice. He's not the kind of guy that mentions that kind of thing.

Mr. weathersageK: I do hope most of you like Mandy, since she will be back. Not soon, but eventually.

Mr. McGeezel: Romance is not going to be a central part of this fic, but Ash's relationship with Giselle is. So I'm glad to know that I didn't annoy you guys with it.

Mr. Capito Celcior: Ouch... I guess I really can't help the spelling errors but I'm looking for a beta now, so hopefully you will be able to enjoy this fic more soon.

Mr. Infernapeblaze: Meowth did evolve into a Persian... Right at the end of last chapter, remember?

Mr. Psychochiken: Just keep on reading and you'll see!

Mr. Guest (the rude one): All I can really say is that Ash is ten. He is mature for his age, but only in the way that when he stops to think something through, he can see pretty far ahead. That said, if you don't like a smiling Ash, then this story is not for you. The boy isn't going to buy an overcoat and start frowning at everyone that talks to him. My Ash, like cannon Ash, is a kind, happy kid that's going to grow into a kind, happy man. But he has flaws and being ridiculously excitable is one of them... Maybe it will go away when he grows up, maybe it won't.

Ms. I Love Dolphins: Yes, ma'am.

Mr. InTheYearOfTheCat, Mr. shyboywriter: What are you waiting for? Your answers if down there!

Mr. animekingmike: Nope, but you will know pretty soon.

Mr. kitsune of darkfire: You are absolutely right, she was only dressed like a grunt.

Mr. juman1994: One of the reasons why I did it, yes.

Mr. Guest (the polite one): Sorry about that, buddy.

Mr. Orchamus: I always felt that Jessie and James made Pokemon writers lazy. 'How can we make Ash befriend that man/woman/kid/pokemon/old man/entire city? I know! I'll have him risk himself to stop Team Rocket!' It annoyed me even when I watched the first season as a kid... And what can I say? I like Giselle, she is Giselle after all.

Mr. riverm8rix: I'm leaving it as Meowth. Kitty's reluctance to evolve is a pretty important part of the fic in this first chapters.

Mr. coolj77: He is arrogant, though I wouldn't call him power crazy. Don't worry, Ash's not going to start acting like a jerk. It's a pretty normal character flaw, not the unforgivable sin that our society seems to think it is. I'm not even sure if his going to completely outgrow it.

Chapter 6:

"She failed?" The voice wasn't angry, or disappointed, it sounded curious at best. Still, the other person answered quickly.

"Not exactly, sir. She succeeded in stealing the pokemon we sent her after... But the girl attacked another trainer and-"

But the first interrupted him "And that's when she failed."

Truth be told, Giovanni looked more annoyed at having to repeat himself then at the supposed failure. The other man was quick to agree "Yes, sir." he nodded and waited for his boss to speak.

And said boss took his time. He petted the Persian sited on his lap while he read the reports that he had been given. The Classy Cat Pokemon stopped purring when Giovanni stopped his actions "The results are satisfactory. The Infiltration Program will continue."

"Yes, sir." nodded the subordinate.

"Is her cover blown?"

The underling took a moment to answer, which wasn't a good sign "We... We don't know yet, sir. The police is still investigating the case."

The Persian purred again, when it's master went back to stroking his fur "If it is, send her to Ariana. The girl will make a decent bodyguard... If not, have her carry on."

The other man nodded and was about to speak, when Giovanni raised the hand that wasn't petting his Persian "Take the Jinx away and let her know that she doesn't have the right to choose her targets."

The subordinate didn't hesitate for a second "Yes, sir." he answered, already planning on how to deliver the boss' displeasure.

The citizens of Celadon City scrambled for cover as they watched the Taurus herd stampede towards their beautiful home.

Only, they hadn't seen a single Taurus yet... Which wasn't that surprising, considering the cloud of dust they had kicked up. Still, as they got closer and closer to the city, the citizens finally heard the noise the herd was making. Footsteps, running footsteps. Human footsteps.

A single pair too.

It didn't take long for the dust cloud to reach the city's hospital, and it just crashed through front door. When the dust finally settled, and everyone inside could see, they were very surprised by the middle-age woman holding the receptionist by the front of her uniform.

"WHERE'S MY BABY?!" Mrs. Ketchum shouted/asked a few inches from the poor young woman's face.

The terrified receptionist had wide eyes when asked "W-What?"

Delia Ketchum's answer came a lot faster "ASH KETCHUM! MY BABY! WHERE'S MY BABY?!" she shouted, with fire in her eyes.

The other lady was almost crying now, but she answered quickly this time "Room number 204! 204!" she didn't shout as much as she yelped. Specially when Mrs. Ketchum dropped her on the floor.

It took only a few moments for Delia to arrive at her son's room and she, once again, kicked the door open without hesitation.

The room was in pristine condition. The bed was made up, the curtains where opened to allow the sunlight to get inside. And there was no sign of Ash Ketchum.

His mother took a few steps back and stood outside of the room, she made sure she had the correct room and took a very deep breath.

"WHERE'S MY BABYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY-huh?"

Just when it seemed that her shout would never end, a envelope was trust in front of her face.

It was held by a distraught looking young man, who was covering one of his ears with the hand that wasn't holding the letter "The girl asked me to give you this." he explained through gritted teeth.

"Girl?" Delia asked herself, but she still took the message. She opened it quickly and read out loud.

"Dear Mrs. Ketchum. I apologize for not being able to greet you in person, specially considering how far you must have traveled in so little time. Still, Ash decided that he was healthy enough to leave the hospital and there was precious little I could do to stop Kadabra from Teleporting him away. That said, do not worry. For I, Giselle, am with him and will be sure to keep my friend safe. Giselle Seiyo."

She took a moment to process all that she had read, and the young man was worried she might start shouting again. But it was, thankfully, not to be. All she said was "Oh, I'm glad Ash made such a good friend."

The guy blinked a couple of times, confused "Y-You do realize he has a broken arm, right? And that he was questioned by the police? More then once?"

But the mother laughed, completely carefree "There's nothing to worry about, after all my boy's already off in another adventure! He must be just fine, that's the way he is." then she hummed quietly and walked away.

"Ketchum! Stop scratching it!"

The boy pouted at his friend and moved his left hand away from his right arm. Said arm was encased in a white cast that, he decided, had been designed to be as itchy as possible.

Then, he pretended nothing happened "So, do you want to stop anywhere on the way to Saffron City?"

Giving him a look, that said that she knew exactly what he was doing, Giselle answered "I would like to visit the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town!" already looking more excited, she explained "I wish to capture a ghost pokemon for my team, to make it more balanced."

"Sounds good!" he nodded and was about to say something, but the brunette spoke first.

"You know..." she started "It would be a good idea for you to add a Ghost Type to you team, specially since your next gym match will be in Saffron City."

And Ash smiled, before nodding "Yeah, let's go catch some ghost pokemon!"

So, he took off running. Followed quickly by Giselle "ASH! THE DOCTOR SAID YOU CAN'T STRAIN YOURSELF YET!"

It took the pair almost a week to get to Lavender Town, specially since they were traveling at a much slower pace then normal. It turns out that all Giselle had to do was not chase him, and Ash wouldn't run off.

Took her long enough to realize that.

"Well, I think we should go check the place out right away." Ash commented, staring at the tall tower, visible even from outside of the town.

But his friend quickly put an end to that line of thought "And I want my beauty sleep! We will go there tomorrow."

The poor, poor injured boy pouted "But Ghost Type Pokemon almost only appear at night..."

But Giselle wasn't even looking "And that is why we will rest well today, so we can stay up late tomorrow. Can you imagine how horrible it would be if I, Giselle, ended up with bags under my eyes?"

Ash went quiet for a moment and then nodded "Yeah, I'm pretty tired too. I see the Pokecenter, are... Are you staying there?"

She frowned for a second, knowing exactly why her friend hadn't argued in favor of continuing anyway. They both had learned that 'too tired' could be quite dangerous. Still, he knew why as well and bringing it up wouldn't help "Of course I am, there are no hotels in this town that deserve my money." she explained, with her nose high in the air.

As if she would let her, recently escaped from the hospital, best friend sleep in a different building than her.

Giselle didn't think twice about opening Ash's door without knocking, as if he had anything to hide from her!

When she saw him, the girl wasn't surprised to find the young trainer in a heavy slumber. While unconsciously scratching his cast. A frown quickly took over her pretty features.

She knew Ash wasn't at one hundred percent yet, but they boy had insisted on carrying her bag since he always did. Giselle had decided not to argue, since the last thing she wanted was to get in a fight with him. But everyday she was saw how tired it was making him. She saw it less and less, since he was recovering, but he wasn't at 100 percent yet.

Usually, Ash overslept, if she let him, an hour at most. But now it was almost midday and the raven haired boy was snoring away.

The first few times she woke him up, back when they first started traveling together, the girl had simply told Cubone to tap him in the head with his bone. Just hard enough.

"Ash, hey, Ash." she spoke softly while shaking his shoulder gently. And that wasn't going to work. When that became clear, she shook his arm just a little harder. She had to do that quite a few times, but the boy finally woke up.

He yawned loudly and finally noticed her "Giselle? What's up? Is it morning already?"

She had a kind smile on her face, for a moment, then the girl huffed "It's almost noon, Ash! I already fed your pokemon but you need to eat."

"Didn't need to do that..." he grumbled lowly, but wasn't willing to complain about her babying him. So he took a deep breath.

"Thanks." he told her, with his usual happy smile "Now let's go eat! I'm starving!"

When she first met him, Giselle had been shocked by how much Ash could eat. Now, she was just glad he wasn't hurt back then. 'Recovering Ash' ate enough that Nurse Joy had to send her Chansey running to the market, otherwise there wouldn't be enough for dinner.

The pretty girl had run off as well, but it was to ask around about the Pokemon Tower. She quickly figured out that most of the locals didn't enjoy talking about the place, either because they were scared of ghosts or because they knew a pokemon that was buried there. Of course, no one would not answer a question from her, Giselle, but she decided to be sensitive. So, it was through a few short questions to a dozen different people that she learned everything she wanted to know about the place.

Planning and adventure was fun! She should do it more often. Of course, she would still allow people to prepare everything for her... But if it was just her and Ash, Giselle kind of liked the idea of setting up the da-... Choosing a date. As in, marking a calendar.

The, blushing, brunette was brought out of her thoughts by the sound of battle. It was coming from behind the Pokecenter and she quickly ran. Bad images flying in front of her eyes.

Of course, when she got there, everything was well.

Ash was standing in one side of the field, a confident smirk in his face, but his eyes narrowed in concentration. Persian stood in front of him, her tail moving slowly and her slitted eyes focused on her prey.

Their opponents were a boy their age, with blond hair, glasses and freckles, and a Haunter.

"Haunter! Use Sucker Punch!" the other kid yelled, in what Giselle considered a very shrill voice, and his pokemon disappeared.

But Ash answered quickly "Nasty Plot, Kitty. And when he shows up, dodge."

Meowing a few times, in what sounded clearly like an evil laugh, Persian just stood there. Slitted eyes running across the battlefield. Then, Giselle was sure the damn cat had actually smirked.

Ash's pokemon vanished from sight. Everyone was so focused on the only pokemon they could see, that when she moved, too suddenly to track, they were all left staring at the recently visible Haunter.

All except her trainer "Dark Pulse! Now!"

The pokemon quickly obeyed the order, she actually roared while releasing the attack. And Haunter resisted, for a single moment, before being pushed back and through the floor.

Ash made a "Tsk!" sound that Giselle understood, after all the Ghost type was only caught by the beginning of the super effective blow, and felt nothing when hitting the floor.

"Uhhhuuu! Go, Persian!"

That voice made Giselle realize that she wasn't the only person watching the match.

Four kids, all around eight years of age, were whooping and cheering for Ash. Causing the boy he was fighting to grit his teeth "Shut up, you brats!" he yelled, before turning back to the match.

"Haunter!" he called "Use Pay Back!"

Ash didn't wait for the Gas Pokemon to start the move "Kitty, don't let that hit you! Double Team!"

And soon enough, there were a dozen Persians forming a large circle around the battlefield.

"That's the best you can do?! Don't underestimate Ghost Pokemon!" just as Ash's opponent finished the taunt, Haunter appeared behind one of the Persians and launched his attack. Much to both Ash and Giselle's surprise, the Classy Cat Pokemon had to jump to dodge.

"Now, while it can't move! Use Hypnosis!"

Persian's trainer watched with grit teeth, while she fell as sleep and fell heavily on the floor.

But the other trainer didn't give them time to do much more "Now, Haunter, use Dream Eater!"

"Sleep Talk, Persian!"

Even while she snored, the Normal Type pokemon charged ahead and clawed at where Haunter was, multiple times. She passed straight through the Ghost type and the other trainer started laughing "Oh, Fury Swipes! Ha! That's just great!"

But as soon as she stopped, Ash shouted "Do Dark Pulse!"

And the already awake Persian did, of course the other trainer had a second to counter.

"Haunter! Use Dark Pulse too, quickly!"

When the attacks met there was no explosion of smoke, but the dark energy that made them up was thrown everywhere. And Ash's pokemon took the initiative of running straight through the black storm in front of her.

Her trainer did little to discourage her "Shadow Claw, girl!"

Charging through a mess that Meowth would never be able to handle, Persian sped up and roared again. She reached the Ghost type, despite the fact that Haunter was being pushed back again, and struck a perfect critical hit.

Sitting with the dignity that her species was known for, she started licking off the black smudges the Dark Pulses had left on her fur.

"That was soooooo awesome!"

"Yeah!"

"It was great!"

Giselle smiled, amused, as she watched the little kids fawn over Ash and Persian. And after seeing Ash battle, she was feeling a lot better then before.

Sure, his arm was still broken, but Ash would be fine. And she would be here to help her friend when needed.

"I knew Ghost Pokemon weren't that great!" one of the boys announced and all the other kids nodded happily along.

And Ash was honestly confused "Uh? What do you mean?"

His answer came from Mandy, the smallest one there but the more outgoing from the four younger children "That guy you battled, Will, is always talking about how great they are! And if you disagree, he has his Haunter prank you! He's a huge meanie!"

The other children quickly agreed, with various levels of insult, they explained what they thought of William.

Until Giselle interrupted "Well, I, Giselle, think Ghost pokemon are very impressive. Of course, Ash's pokemon are on a league of their own. Naturally."

Even if they were glad that she agreed Ash was awesome, the children really weren't happy that she was 'defending' what their bully usually says "Well, what do you know! It's not like you're a trainer or anything!" the tallest boy yelled, clenching a fist and pointing at her with his other hand, even while blushing at the beautiful, older, girl.

"But she is a trainer!" Ash defended "A strong one too!" he told them, though Mandy didn't look convinced.

"Really?" the little girl asked.

And Ash nodded "Yeah, she's Giselle after all." he explained with a smile, before getting an idea "I know! Giselle, let's battle!"

Even if caught by surprise, the pretty girl didn't hesitate "Well, it has been a while..." she answered, with a small smile.

"I choose Graveler!" Ash shouted and Giselle said, while they released their pokemon.

And Mandy was feeling pretty justified when she noticed something "See! Ash's Graveler is a wayyyy taller then hers!"

"Rock Polish!" Ash quickly instructed and his pokemon quickly obeyed.

When she saw the other Graveler start running her hands over itself, using friction to remove pieces of stone that were sticking out, Giselle quickly ordered "While she can't move, Graveler, use Magnitude!"

While her pokemon obeyed, the pretty trainer reminded herself to be very careful. She couldn't take advantage of Ash's Lady's weakness, since her pokemon couldn't do Water Type moves, but her opponent could take advantage of Giselle's Rock Type's. She knew Ash had taught his pokemon plenty of Fighting Type attacks.

"Lady, jump!" he shouted and his pokemon obeyed just fast enough do dodge the Magnitude. Just like Giselle knew it would happen.

"NOW, Graveler, use Earthquake!" she yelled, being careful to not strain her throat.

And Ash made a split second decision "Use Rollout, before you hit the ground!"

And his Graveler did, moving much faster then it normally could, she weaved and dodge the pieces of ground that rose with the Earthquake. For a while, eventually she crashed. But not even the super effective attack stopped her.

Ash's Lady burst through the wall of solid rock that tried to stop her, and charged towards her opponent.

"Use Double-edge!" Giselle ordered and when she saw Ash narrowing his eyes, she knew he understood. Her Graveler's ability was Rock Head.

Both of their attacks weren't going to be very effective, but Giselle's was much stronger. But Ash chose to trust his pokemon would prevail, how could he battle if he didn't?

Giselle's Graveler actually jumped forward, giving himself even more momentum, right before the impact and his forehead met the rolling Rock Type. And even if he managed to stop the rolling, the other pokemon's sheer weight was proving too much for his torso. So, without any orders, the male Graveler used his four arms to push the other one upward.

Roaring his name, Graveler lifted his opponent from the floor and threw her forward, less then a foot. Then the two pokemon waited for less then a second.

"Graveler! Use Hammer Arm!"

"Lady, Brick Break!"

The force of the blow made Ash's Graveler spin and almost fall down. And when she finally managed to control her body, she watched the other, tiny, Rock Type get up from the floor where her punch had left him.

The sheer gal of the little creature made her madder then any of the pokemon that used to enter her territory, she knew she was stronger then the little whelp. She would prove it.

When he got up, it was to meet the eyes of the one he both admired and loathed. Graveler watched the enemy he helped evolve. His pride wouldn't allow him to lose again to the same opponent twice, in battle or anywhere else.

"Wow..." the spectators agreed between themselves, watching the titans glare at one another. They were even more astounded when they saw them both glow white.

After both pokemon evolved, it was even clearer which one was Ash's. His new Golem stood a little above five feet tall and it's almost black rock-shell was made up of dozens of small stones, all a lot smaller then what as usual.

Still, Giselle's polished and clear Golem didn't show an ounce of fear. He took a single steep forward, and tried to stop himself from falling to the ground, his head ringing from the earlier blow.

All the while, Ash's Lady grunted in pain as she took step after step towards her opponent.

Giselle swallowed hard and waited until their pokemon were in arms reach of one another "Golem. Use Hammer Arm."

And Ash answered "Lady, Brick Break."

While Ash was in excellent mood after the, short but intense, battle, he was actually surprised that Giselle wasn't pouting. After all, when standing in front of each other, in a straight hitting match, her Golem didn't stand much of a chance.

That's not to say she wasn't disappointed, but since Nurse Joy quickly healed both their newly-evolved pokemon, the pretty girl had a small, satisfied, smile that just wouldn't leave her face.

Ash didn't much care why his friend was happy, it's not like he wanted to change that. So he just enjoyed her company, the fact that his Lady had gotten even stronger and their next adventure.

"Well, Ash." his friend's voice brought his attention to the present "This is the Pokemon Tower." she announced, spreading her arms and showing off the building behind her.

She had a very serious expression when she spoke next "The first few levels are a graveyard." she explained, raising a finger of her right hand while placing her left on her waste "And that means no running, shouting or battling until we reach the higher ones. That's where the Ghost Pokemon stay anyway. Got it?"

The young trainer blinked, really not knowing about any of that beforehand. Then he nodded "I got it."

Giselle was happy enough with his agreement and they both started walking towards the structure again. Neither noticed the angry frown coming from the person hiding behind a house, close by.

"You shouldn't be battling anywhere in there!" William spit out angrily, his Haunter looking at the boy sadly.

"I'm pretty sure I saw something." Ash announced, squinting his eyes and pointing at the end of a long row of old graves.

And Giselle nodded "Really? The-Wait! Did you see that?" she asked, quickly turning her head to a large window that showed the rooftops of Lavender Town. She was about to check it out, when her pokemon's voice stopped her.

The pretty girl turned and looked down, finding her Vulpix sited and staring at her. The Fire Type said her name a few more times, then got up and starred straight at where Ash had pointed before.

"You found something, Vulpix?" she asked kindly, and the pokemon barked her name in agreement once "Well, then lead the way!" Giselle waited until she did so, then smiled and followed.

Ash took a moment longer, he had actually seen something in the window as well. The young trainer took a long hard look at the darkness outside and shouted, when a Haunter suddenly appeared and smashed against the glass.

It's tongue then passed straight through the glass and the pokemon licked Ash's entire head.

It did disappear, but it's laughter echoed for a while yet.

Giselle's giggling didn't help either.

Later on, when the pair gave chase to a Ghastly, that had decided freedom was more important then victory, something caught Ash's foot and the young trainer quickly met the floor.

His friend only had eyes for the pokemon she wanted, but still managed to turn back, by fighting every instinct she had "Ash? Are you alright?" she asked, having stopped running but not quite managing to walk back just yet.

"Yeah! I'm fine!" he lied through his teeth, his injured arm might have hit the ground second, but still hit it "Go after it!"

The pretty girl hesitated again, but then she saw Ash already getting up. 'He's fine.' she told herself, and took off again, her Vulpix in tow, after the Ghost Type.

When Giselle left, her friend allowed himself a grimace and clutched his broken arm. Then, he turned and glared at the floor behind him, the area around his feet. There was nothing there to catch his foot. The boy had a very good idea of the culprit.

Still, he sighed and turned to follow Giselle. That's when he heard something breaking and his friend screaming.

He took off without a second thought and as soon as he made the turn, the one his friend had disappeared into... He found giant tongue.

The young man was quickly deciding that he didn't much care for Ghost pokemon.

As soon as the, disgusting, experience was over, Ash remembered that his friend was in danger and took off after her. He stopped when she screamed again. Behind him?

He turned again and sure enough, the Haunter had it's hands in front of it's face, pretending to amplify it's voice. It's voice that sounded, again and again, like Giselle screaming.

Glaring with an amount of anger he didn't even know he could muster, Ash watched as the Ghost Type disappeared and started laughing in that annoying way only his species could.

"So that's how we're gonna play, huh?" Ash asked the no longer present pokemon.

He touched one the pokeballs in his belt and released Kadabra "Buddy, I'm gonna need you to take to the Pokemon Center and back here, real quick."

"Vulpix, use Fire Spin!" Giselle ordered, even if her mind was somewhere else entirely.

She knew she shouldn't have left Ash behind, even if he wasn't hurt. That Haunter had played a prank her friend three times already and now he hadn't caught up with her, like he said he would.

So, as she watched her small Fire Type surround another Ghastly with flames, the girl vowed that even if she didn't capture this one she would double back and look for Ash.

The wild Ghastly pretended to run away and just as Giselle ordered her pokemon to give chase, it turned back and used Lick. Which was really getting on the trainer's nerves, that was the third time she fell for this strategy. But if she didn't give chase, then the Gas Pokemon just ran for real.

"While it's close! Use Flamethrower!"

The attack surely looked effective. When the target finally appeared again, having been completely covered by flames, it was floating low and seemed to be swaying from side to side. It was then burned by the Fire Spin and just as Giselle was preparing her pokeball, it fell down. Straight through the floor.

"Not again!" she yelled and stomped her foot. Then she sighed and remembered that she was going to search for her friend.

But it seemed she didn't have too, since Ash's voice sounded from the next room "Giselle? Is that you?"

And as she was about to answer, her Vulpix growled and dash towards the room's entrance. Is sat there and launched a Flamethrower through the doorway.

"Vu-Vulpix! What are-" she asked, running to see if Ash was alright. What she found, was a burned, fleeing, Haunter "Oh... I see. Thank you, Vulpix."

William's Haunter decided that he could go after the girl, when she called that Vulpix back. The Fox Pokemon had found him plenty of times already, but didn't seem to care if he went after the boy. So that what he would do. He didn't like fighting anyway.

So, he floated away. His target was back in the Tower, he could tell, and so Haunter would punish him. William didn't want anyone inside, if didn't have pure intentions.

Hearing a groan, the Gas Pokemon turned quickly and found another Ghost Type. This one much bigger then him.

The Gengar took a long look at the weaker pokemon, it's usual smile nowhere to be seen. It said it's name a single, as if asking a single question.

And the Haunter answered as fast as he could. Waving his hands and repeating his name, he made sure the stronger pokemon understood that he had not gone looking for a fight. Finally, Gengar nodded and left. Heading towards the girl that was causing such a ruckus in it's tower.

Haunter blinked and waited, until he was sure that the other pokemon was gone. Then he laughed to himself, it seemed he didn't have to do anything to the second trainer. Gengar would kick her out.

So, the Gas Pokemon went back to searching for the male trainer that beat him before. He found the boy thanking his Kadabra for the ride and offering him some home-made treat.

The prankster didn't even hesitate. He swooped down while invisible and Ash only noticed something was wrong, when something hot and wet was dragged over his hand.

The treat disappeared, but Haunter didn't see Ash's smirk.

The pokemon turned visible again, while his body's color went from purple to red. The Ghost Type was sure he was about to spit fire and then he heard the trainer laughing.

Oh! That meant war.
