Disclaimer: Hey guys! Sooo erm the hat (because I put all of my fanfics into a hat that I own and pulled out a piece of paper that contained as one of the stories I made. Just makes it a little easier for me to chose which fanfic I was going to do. So here's the next chapter)

I'm sorry if anything is spelt wrong, especially one thing :s

Darcy's p.o.v

It had been two weeks since the accident that caused everyone to be sent to the hospital, and now Darcy had been released - the last one to be released, thank god -

Those two weeks would have been torture, if it had not been for the guys that made up Big Time Rush it would have sent Darcy insane, because they constantly, every day without fail, arrived at the hospital to visit her, all smiles and delight. Those words shouldn't have been thought by Darcy though, because it reminded her too much of her mother, who had recently been. . .Darcy didn't really know what to call it

Was it murder to kill someone that would have killed her if she had not shot her first?

Or could the police count what happened as self defense?

Darcy didn't know, but a phantom pain shot across her side, she flinched with the pain, hands going towards her side to clutch at the skin, pinching it to try to subdue the pain a little bit without anyone noticing. However before she could move her hand away from her side, a doctor walked inside, watching her, studying her every move like he was watching chimps to learn their natural behaviour

She felt quite annoyed at herself from thinking that way, slumping slightly against the covers, a pout on her lip as her grey eyes glanced up at the doctors face, watching him in the same way

"Miss Black, it seems that you've recovered faster than anyone expected" he tusked, sounding much too like a snort as he clicking his tongue, flicking back and forth between the metal clipboard and her eyes. Darcy's darted away, looking at the white-wash wall and staring at it with disgust, she just couldn't look into the doctor's eyes after he had mentioned about her recovering quicker than anyone expected. The last time she heard that sentence was the very last, and most dangerous, time that Jacob had ever hurt her, enough that she almost hadn't made it. He had hurt her so violently that when she smacked her head after he threw her down the stairs - Darcy shivered at the memory, lightly touching the scar in her hairline - and landed her in a coma.

"That's enough!" Darcy screamed at herself mentally, tightly closing her eyes and gritting her teeth as if she was in pain, luckily the doctor didn't seem to notice her

"Sooo, does that mean I get to leave now?" Darcy questioned, crossing her fingers on top of the sheets, actually looking into the doctor's eyes to beg him to let her go and back to the apartment so she could curl up into a ball and try to relax. Forgetting the encounter would be difficult, especially since it took a hell of a lot just to forget the horrible abuse she suffered underneath Jacob's hand, but Darcy actually hoped that James, Logan, Carlos and even Kendall would help her since they had been there, seen what had happened during their kidnapping

"Yes, but on two conditions" he wrote something down on paper, eyes darting across the page "you need someone to sign a few papers, a parent or authority figure" he smiled at Darcy as she looked at him "and you need to stay with someone for a few weeks for the healing process. I don't think you've fully recovered, mentally I mean" he watched her reaction, Darcy knew that much, but her face must have shown every emotion she was feeling, the mask she was trying to pull over her face was doing nothing to shield her emotions

"I-I'm perfectly fine" Darcy muttered under her breath, trying to stay strong as she crossed her arms over her chest, the doctor didn't seem to be finished with explaining, he glared at Darcy as her mouth fell open

"I think you should start seeing a psychologist" he started, but Darcy shivered, this time the doctor noticed the change in atmosphere, especially around Darcy herself. She felt the room suddenly go bone chilling cold "I know that you've been to one before, as the records show" he waved around the file in his hand, Darcy following the brown paper

"I don't need to see someone, I'm perfectly fine" Darcy was biting her tongue hard, desperate not to let her emotions show and show the doctor in front of her - who was watching her for every single movement she would make -

"I think it would be best for you, Miss Black. I understand that there are some problems that have been dug up about you past with those who kidnapped you"

"Please, just. . .just don't talk about that" her resolve evaporated as soon as he mentioned the fact that something in her past has come up and she's forced to re-live it

"That's why I really wish for you to see him" he dug around in his pocket, scowling because he couldn't find what he was looking for. For a moment he just talked, trying to make a conversation about himself mostly - Darcy caught his surname, a Doctor Smith - but he soon pulled out a small card from his pocket, immediately shoving it into Darcy's palm "You can phone him about any problem you may have, I'll arrange you to see him in a weeks time. Allowing you to recover a little bit and get you head set straight" he chuckled at his own joke, Darcy only looked like a small child as she pouted

"Ha Ha" Darcy muttered sarcastically, rolling her eyes when Dr Smith didn't seem to hear the sarcasm dripping from her words. He soon began to scribble notes on the clipboard, until he turned his attention to the door as it squeaked open

"Ah, hey dad" Darcy spoke up, waving at Mike. She twisted a fake smile on her face, trying to make it look normal, but he saw straight through it, he even noticed how Darcy - unknown to even herself as she looked straight into her dads green eyes - that her hands were twisting into the white sheets as her nerves took a hold of her

Mike's p.o.v

He knew that Darcy wanted to get out of the hospital, her hands were twisting into the sheets and she continued to stare into his eyes as if she was pleading with him to take her away

"Excuse me?" Mike called to the doctor, who only hummed in response to the question, he was scribbling on the white paper showing his daughters results to tests probably. Mike didn't know what he was writing, but when he looked at his daughter's other hand, he noticed a small card in her fingers. He started to reach out for the card

"We have some papers that we wish for you to sign, before we allow Miss Black to leave the hospital" Mike flinched, much like his daughter when someone started speaking in a droned voice, pen still scribbling on paper

What was he writing, a novel?

Mike turned, watching as the doctor finally lifted his head from the clipboard to stare into Mike's eyes, flashing a smile before looking at Darcy with a saddened look

"I'll leave you two in peace" he mumbled, clipping the metal clipboard closed and slowly edging towards the door, being as quiet as possible not to disturb them. Mike knew it wouldn't last long, because faintly Mike could hear someone screaming down the corridor words that at first he didn't catch. It was only until the person got closer that Mike had to chuckle

"WHERE IS SHE! I WANT TO SEE HER!" James Diamond's girlish scream carried down the corridor, bouncing around the whole hospital

"Why is James here?" Darcy asked from the bed, shuffling of sheets made Mike turn around, watching Darcy slowly try to push herself off the bed and onto her feet

"Should you be up and walking around? Especially on that leg?" Mike watched Darcy roll her eyes, continuing to try to get off the bed, ignoring her dad's warning

"I asked a question first, dad" Darcy admitted smugly, a small smile - one that Mike noticed was not at all fake - it was Mike's turn to roll his eyes like a child, something he knew Darcy loved about him

"Um, he came with me" Mike scratched his head, chuckling as James continued to scream and shout about releasing Darcy from the hospital or telling him where she was. Mike was almost willing to walk out of the room and drag James to her, just to shut him up "He practically demanded it"

"Oh" Darcy's tone took a dangerous sad twist, her gaze going to the floor and her grey eyes looked as if she was going to burst into tears at any moment. Her bottom lip trembled, but she bit her lip right in the middle to stop it, Mike felt worried

"Are you going to answer my question?" Mike spoke, trying to lighten the mood by making his own voice high pitched and happy, it didn't work, Darcy kept trying to slide out of the bed and onto her feet

"He said I can go home" Darcy answered, shrugging her shoulders like it was nothing, but of course Mike knew better, he could see the distant look in her eyes as she looked to the floor, eyes glassy with memories that Mike really didn't know

"Was that all?" Mike questioned "so what's with the small card?" Mike reached out for it, collecting it with his fingers and reading the small writing. He almost dropped the card with shock, recognising one word that stuck out to him as if it was underlined, in bright bold writing and in a completely different colour than the rest of the black writing that was on the white paper

"psychologist" was the word that was like a slap to the face to Mike

"Dad? You okay?" Darcy limped towards him, resting her hand on the bed as she made her way towards him, tugging at his shirt when he failed to notice her. His head snapped up, cracking at the sharp movement, staring straight into Darcy's eyes as they shone with worry

"S-Sorry, what did you say?" Mike shook his head, trying to focus on Darcy. Instead he watched the door slam against the wall as James' tall figure filled the entrance of the doorway

"Nothing, it's okay" Darcy quickly grabbed at the card in Mike's hand, pocketing it before James saw

"Hey" James spoke happily, running into the room and embracing Darcy into a hug, muttering things under his breath that Mike couldn't hear, he caught some of them though

"Can we please get out of here?" Darcy's voice sounded like she was mumbling the words, but when Mike turned to look at her, he couldn't help a small chuckle escaping from his mouth. James had such a tight grip on Darcy that her head was flush to James' chest, squashing her face against the fabric of his shirt. Mike nodded, not before he noticed that Darcy couldn't actually see the movement

"Yeah, let me just sign those papers the doctor's want me to sign" Mike sighed, rushing out of the room. He quickly found the front desk, and politely asking for the papers he needed seemed too much like he was running a long marathon. The woman who was currently trying to run the front desk shot him a dirty look, as if he had just ran down the corridor swearing and shouting like a mad man. He was the only one standing right in front of the desk, and she was sitting there filing her nails with a bored expression, concentrating on her nails as she pointlessly slapped her hands under the counter for the paper Mike needed

"Here" she snarled, practically throwing the paper at Mike. He had a small amount of time to catch the paper as it fluttered down to the ground

"Thank you" Mike snarled back, making his tone even more dangerously annoyed than hers ever could, he was using the voice he uses on criminals. The woman looked up from her nails in shock, like Mike had slapped her across the face, twisting her facial features into a snarl which rose her upper lip. Slamming the nail file down hard against the desk, she stood up to scream at Mike about being obnoxious, but a single glance to Mike's left, right behind him, she slowly sat back down, looking scared. Mike slid the paper back over the desk, keeping calm, there was a strange sensation that crept into Mike's bones, a dark figure that poisoned the room with darkness that Mike couldn't help but hide a shiver of fright at. He didn't want to turn around to look at the figure

"Thank you" the woman spoke in the sweetest voice Mike had ever heard, even adding a smile to the politeness she previously showed. Her eyes, however, were wide and frightened like she saw something or someone she didn't like

"You're welcome" Mike mumbled, pushing away to look behind him, but it seemed like the person the woman had been scared of was gone. He stayed close to the desk, listening out for any signs of anyone attacking the woman at the desk

"Come on sis" James' voice startled Mike, making him turn slightly to look behind him and gasped. James was slowly helping Darcy out of the room, his arm wrapped strongly around her waist to aid her with walking. Mike couldn't help but notice that she was limping heavily because of her left leg, never putting too much weight on said leg. But Mike couldn't help dropping the pen, it slipped from his fingers in shock at James' words, they echoed inside Mike's head

"Come on sis" Mike shuddered, suddenly feeling very cold, and the room wasn't even that cold to make him shiver. It was like the whole room was ice cold

"D-Dad?" Darcy spoke, trying to get out of James' grip to walk towards her dad, who was still too shocked to move a muscle

Darcy's p.o.v

She didn't like how frozen her father looked, he was like a statue. No matter how many times she tugged and pulled at his arm, Mike refused to move

"Mr Black?" James called, waving his hand across Mike's face to try to get his attention. He soon gave out a big squeal of fright when Mike's hand suddenly lashed out and caught James' wrist in mid air, the glassy look that had once been in his eyes vanished, and Darcy watched as Mike's eyes slowly looked towards James hazel eyes with a look that could have killed James

Darcy slowly approached her dad with the intention of trying to free James' wrist from his tight grip, but an arm stopped her from coming any closer. It had been James' tanned one, and when she looked at James he looked too serious for words. His eyebrows were knotted together in thought, lips thin as he slowly breathed out the breath he was holding, his hazel eyes never moving from Mike's green ones that were suddenly too dark, too evil

"Dad, what's wrong?" Darcy asked in a frightened voice that shook, but neither James nor Mike looked in her direction, it was like a staring contest between them. Neither blinked, neither started to breathe too quickly to encourage the other to strike, but Darcy knew that James would never try to attack Mike because of Darcy

"Guys please" Darcy rose her voice, and both James and Mike jumped apart as much as Mike's hand on James' wrist would allow. They both looked upset, because they both knew that they had somehow upset Darcy. She was already in a terrible state because of the kidnapping, frightened and vulnerable beyond belief, anything could have upset her, anything could be the thing that broke her, and Darcy knew the facts. She knew that she was in a horrible place, but with people shoving things down her throat it was becoming impossible for Darcy not to lash out at something. James' arm wrapped around her waist once more, pushing her into his side to help her with moving around because of her knee, but she couldn't help but think back to why her father reacted like he had

"We're home, well back to the Palm Woods anyway" Mike announced, Darcy jumped, knocking her knee into the seat in front of her. She hissed in pain, rubbing her knee right on the spot that had the stitches, her teeth gritted against the pain as she rubbed at the wound. The door to her left slowly opened, and hands gently shook her to make her realise that they wanted her attention

"You coming?" James' voice rang out against the quiet as Darcy nodded her head, probably looking like a nodding dog, a stupid one at that. She slowly edged towards the end of the car seat, shifting her body so her right foot could rest gently onto the floor, just because her left leg wouldn't be able to handle all of her body weight on the knee yet. An arm wrapped around her waist, steadying her as she slowly walked into the Palm Woods lobby

Only to find it disturbingly empty of anyone! Not even Bitters was standing at the reception with his usual grumpy expression on his face munching on a sandwich. An annoyed expression scowled on her face, her eyebrows knitting together with the puzzlement, but James gently pushed her in her back, forcing her to continue deeper into the lobby towards the elevator

"Um I can take the stairs you know" Darcy spoke, raising her eyebrows when both James and her dad glared at her as if she had just asked the stupidest question in the entire universe. James was the first to break contact, reaching past Darcy - making sure that she remained perfectly balanced in the crook of his arm - to press a button on the elevator, it pinged once, the door closing to stop Darcy from trying to escape and walk up the stairs. She felt idiotic having James hold her up to keep her balanced, only because she couldn't really put too much weight on her left leg without it screaming out in pain the moment a tiny amount of pressure went on her knee. She had not looked at her knee since she came out of surgery and gained consciousness, Darcy really didn't want to see what kind of state it was in, nor did she want to look at another scar that would be permanent reminder of the kidnapping

She shivered, causing James' arm to tighten around her waist a little more

"You can't exactly walk on that leg Darcy, so quit complaining" her dad snarled the words, never turning around to look at Darcy, but remained staring at the doors to intimidate them to open at the floor they wanted faster. All around the small elevator, the atmosphere was dense, closed in to make it difficult to take a good supply of oxygen. Unconsciously Darcy pressed herself harder into James' side, her right hand going behind James' back to grab a handful of his shirt, James did the same back to Darcy

"You'll be staying with Mrs. Knight until you've got enough strength to be able to walk around" her dad's tone was angry, sounding as if he hated everyone in the room even his daughter, withdrawing away from everyone in order to get his emotions in check because something happened before that Darcy didn't know about. She tried to reach out and touch her dad lightly on the shoulder, releasing her grip from James' shirt to take a step forwards with her good leg, but she jumped in fright when the elevator pinged and the doors opened, Mike almost bolted out of the elevator

"He'll be fine Darcy" James spoke quietly in Darcy's ear, his breath tickling her ear "he just needs time to get over what happened" James didn't know anything about Mike, didn't know how he reacted to things

"Yeah. Sure" Darcy mumbled, making it as quiet as she possibly could with James standing so close to her. Now Darcy's mood had gone depressed because her dad was blankly ignoring her, going into a foul mood. She tried to stop her father from walking away, but when she tried to reach out to touch him - for the second time and Darcy hoped that she would be able to touch his shoulder or a piece of his clothing - and draw him back so she could talk, have a civilised conversation with him and ask what was the matter. But her hand paused in mid-air, she didn't know why, she just. . .just couldn't reach out anymore to try to gain Mike's attention

"Mike, are you not coming to our apartment?" James asked in a quizzical tone, Darcy flinched at his side from the sudden sound, stepping back to look at James as he stared at Mike, watching his reaction

"No, you kids have fun without me?" Mike snarled once more, before he started to walk further down the corridor, never looking back.

James' p.o.v

He didn't like how Mike continued to be in a bad mood, ignoring Darcy, ignoring how childish he was being

It was like there was another Carlos walking around, except Carlos was not known for going into a mood, or ignoring people. James had to grit his teeth to stop nasty comments from escaping from his lips as he watched Mike retreat down the corridor, stamping his feet as he walked. It did look childish to James, but he never really noticed how Darcy's lips fell slightly from seeing her dad act that way, never noticed her pale in the face

"Come on, let's get back to the apartment" James tried to make his voice sound happy, energetic to boost the morale, even plastering a fake smile on his lips as he turned to look at Darcy. Her face was pale, but James only suspected it was because she felt unwell, not because of her dad's childish attitude

"Um, what about my stuff?" she questioned with an attitude in her tone, James couldn't help but to snigger, hiding his mouth behind his hand to snuffle the noise he tried to hide, but it was still loud

"You can get it later" James chuckled, biting his lower lip with his teeth to stop the smile from brightening too much and annoy Darcy. But she had a smile of her own, it was like James' own light-heartened laugh warmed Darcy's cold exterior she tried to coat herself in. He loved watching her lips twist up into the smile that was natural on her face, pushing James' shoulder enough to force him to hit the wall because he wasn't concentrating on the small but strong girl who had been standing next to him moments ago

Instead she was acting like a child, laughing loudly enough to make people open their doors to glare at Darcy acting too much like Carlos. Her arms were thrown up in the air, flapping in the air as if she was about to take flight while giggling at a joke only she seemed to hear. It was nice to watch Darcy acting natural, a childish atmosphere surrounding her as she approached the door to their apartment

James jumped towards Darcy, a shout ready in his throat to stop her from opening the door until he managed to speak to her. But she was much quicker, throwing open the door with the excitement she had earlier

"Err, why is no-one ho-" her sentence was stopped, overpowered by a series of events

"SURPRISE!" A group of people inside the room screamed, the lights suddenly bursting to life right before their eyes. Everyone jumped out of their hiding places, hands raised in the air - unlike Carlos who waved his around like an idiot, smile beaming and his scream the loudest - even Kendall was standing there with a smile on his face, actually looking happy despite constantly saying how much a bad idea this was. Darcy jumped back with the surprise, crashing straight into James' chest, not before she rounded on James with an angry expression, looking ready to murder the closest person to her

Unfortunately it was James

"Y-You guys planned his?" she tried to sound angry and it would have worked, if she had not stuttered like an idiot with shocked grey eyes staring right at James. It looked like she wanted to pull the information right out of James, but he glanced up at everyone in the room, watching them as they approached in a chorus of voices grabbing at Darcy to drag her inside the room

"We planned it" James muttered to no one in particular, scratching his head and walking into the room to watch the situation and laugh inappropriately when Camille tried to place a party hat on her head - a little crooked - and smile down at her until she gave in and took the paper plate in her hands filled with cake and a small amount of ice cream

"Um, I don't know what to say?" Darcy laughed nervously, biting her lower lip while trying to tuck a small part of her fringe behind her ear, failing each and every time.

Darcy's p.o.v

She slowly let go of the pressure she applied to her lower lip, letting it flop back to her natural look

"Don't you like the cake?" Katie asked in a confident voice, sounding hurt throughout the sentence, even her face turned into a sad one as Darcy turned to look at Katie

"No, its very nice thank you" she smiled confidently, picking up the folk on the paper plate and cutting into the cake easily, hoping not to be forced by Katie to eat the slice of cake on the folk. Unfortunately when Darcy looked, she was met with a pair of deer brown, innocent eyes that begged her. She licked her lips before eating the cake, chewing slowly and trying to smile past the cake in her mouth

"You don't like cake?" Camille's voice, sounding a bit whiny, came from beside her, a plateful of cake clutched tightly in her palm as she slowly ate piece by piece from the plate. Her eyebrows were raised in question, Darcy actually forgot the question for a moment, looking just as blankly as Camille for a few seconds

"Err I'm not a big fan" Darcy poked the cake with the folk, it looked too much like jelly, wobbling on the plate almost falling onto its side. She pulled her face, leaning backwards to put the plastic plate on a random table hoping to forget about it. Camille had watched her, but never spoke of it when Katie came back looking at Darcy, a wide smile growing on her face the more she stared, it crept Darcy out, but Katie was probably just excited about something that was going to happen at the party everyone arranged for her, even though she wanted nothing more than to sit on the sofa and fall asleep, hoping that everything that happened was just a dream. The hope was short lived though, because Darcy knew that pretending everything was fine with her life would not work, neither would moaping around feeling sorry for herself or others wouldn't change the situation

No matter how many times she wished and pleaded with no one in particular

"PINATA!" Carlos suddenly screamed at the top of his lungs over the loud music, bolting into the room holding something high in the air above his head. It looked like a fluffy horse, but as Carlos moved it because he looked excited - like a little kid at Christmas, face lit up as much as the Christmas tree in the corner of the room, yep, exactly like that - which blurred the pinata in his hands

"Err Carlos?" Darcy spoke from the other side of the room, trying to get Carlos' attention as he tried to burst the pinata with his hands. He twisted it, grabbed the head and the back of the horse to bend it to break, but none of that worked, it managed to resist the force Carlos was putting into it. Eventually it was Logan that gained Carlos' attention easily by placing a hand gently on his shoulder and twisting him to look

"You need to burst open the pinata" Logan spoke, sounding as if he was stating the most obvious thing in the world, but to Logan, maybe that was. Carlos looked slightly upset at Logan talking down to him, making him feel like a little kid

"That's what I was trying to do" Carlos shrugged his shoulders, forcing his tone to be the same as Logan's, though he just sounded upset

"Let's try to burst it open then" Darcy jumped into the situation before Carlos tried to outsmart Logan, literally jumping in-between the two and grabbing the pinata from Carlos' hands, snatching it before anyone could mutter a word

"B-But. . .wait, I wanna do it!" Carlos tried to snatch it back from her hands, but she managed to dodge around Carlos, racing him to the middle of the room where James was standing, holding a small string to hang the pinata. Constantly Carlos tried to untie the knot holding the pinata, but Logan's hands slapped his hands away each time he tried. He once stopped when Darcy picked up a baseball bat

"Who wants a go?" Darcy asked, tapping the palm of her hand with the bat, kinda looking too intimidating to everyone in the room. They walked backwards away from Darcy as her grey eyes scanned those who wanted a game

Unfortunately they look close to passing out, or running out of the room from the way Darcy was starting to hit the palm of her hand harder with the bat, an evil look on her face

It never phased Carlos, he still looked like a happy child on Christmas. Eyes glistening happily as he eyed the bat in Darcy's hand, his own hand raised high in the air waiting for Darcy to pick him. If you listened close enough, a small whining sound at the back of his throat, because he was so desperate for her to pick him

"Will you just pick Carlos, please" James muttered, almost taking the bat out of Darcy's hand, not counting the evil glare she shot at him as his hand came ever closer to grasping the bat

"Don't. Try. It" Darcy muttered, spacing out the words just so James knew how pissed off she would be if he took the bat from her hand, her tone was dark, emotionless but low enough so only James heard. James' hand retracted away from the bat, his fingers not even close to grazing the wood as a terrified look crossed over his face, he was even close to backing away from Darcy

But something kept him there, standing beside her

"Please be careful with how you swing that" Mrs Knight spoke from behind the mug she held in her hands, but by the size of it, the mug looked more like a bucket. Darcy, very carefully, handed over the bat to Carlos, who instead of thanking Darcy, twirled quickly on the balls of his sneakers and ran to the pinata with a rebellious scream, bat above his head. With one almighty swing, Carlos hit the pinata full force

"I don't think we should have allowed Carlos to have a pinata" Logan muttered under his breath, watching as the string broke in half from the brutual force Carlos applied, the pinata flying across the room only to hit the wall and bounce back across the room

It never broke from the force, to Carlos' dismay and from shock to everyone else

"IT DIDN'T BREAK!" Carlos started to scream and shout, ranting about how much he hated the pinata. He even stomped away from the pinata for a moment, fully intending to ignore it and somehow hope that it would break by itself once it realised how much Carlos didn't like it

"Here" Darcy spoke, plunging her hand into the closest bowl she could grab to collect a handful of sweets to cheer Carlos up, because he really needed it. Carlos looked like he would burst into tears of sadness, and it honestly broke her heart to see the look on someone who was meant to remain innocent and childish, even if the others didn't think it was funny. She didn't care that the others rolled their eyes, Kendall trying to talk Carlos out of trying to break the pinata and take the sweets Darcy was offering

"No thank you" Carlos spoke in an adult voice, full of pride that he could step away from the pinata and not want to break it anymore. A single look in his chocolate brown eyes showed Darcy that really, deep inside, Carlos did want to have the pinata break and him scoff all the sweets inside, but he was trying to act like an adult

Something Darcy found strange, but she dismissed him completely, trying to get into the party mood. The music was loud, louder than Darcy thought Bitter's would allow, but never once did he burst into the room to shout and scream about the music being too loud. She wasn't feeling it, was not able to feel the music pounding inside her veins. Countless of times people came over to tell her stories of what happened while she was away, but Darcy was not listening, only staring at the balcony leading to outside in hope of climbing up the wall onto the roof just so she could be alone. Each time she tried to make it to the balcony, someone pulled at her sleeve - making Darcy flinch - to attract her attention and pull her into another story she couldn't give two shits about

"I-I have to use the bathroom" Darcy smiled politely at Guitar Dude as he tried to strum on his guitar to start a song about Darcy, but she ran to the bathroom before he could start, practically pushing others out of the way to get there

Eventually, Darcy managed to climb up to the roof of the Palm Woods safely, listening to see if anyone followed her during climbing the wall, grunting and groaning as she pulled herself up on unsteady legs and arms to get there. She ended up collapsing on the roof, clutching her knee with the pulsing pain that roared, begging for attention to be noticed and dealt with, but Darcy ignored the pain, panting instead to listen at the music that seemed to sound like she was listening to music under the water. It was peaceful lying on her back, looking up at the night sky to see the stars glistening in the pitch blackness, the cold air whisping past her

"Why?" Darcy questioned to no-one in particular, blinking back tears that threatened to leak from her eyes and down her cheeks, because for a reason private to Darcy, it upset her to look up at the night sky and remember everything that happened during the kidnapping, and something so personal to her heart that it felt like someone was stabbing her in the heart every time she thought of the memory that haunted her still to this day. It was nothing about Jacob, the boy who abused her

Shuddering at the thought of being stabbed, Darcy wrapped her arms around her arms to try to keep herself warm, but the movement only made the cold attack at her arms enough to sent goosebumps prickling at her skin

"Why are you lying down on the floor?" Carlos' face shot right in front of her face, but the sudden voice - when she thought that she was alone - made Darcy scream out and try to scramble to her feet. Unfortunately, their foreheads crashed together, making Darcy and Carlos stumble back to clutch at their foreheads

"I-I really wanted to be alone" Darcy snapped, sounding cold towards Carlos
