Sasuke Retrieval Team
Obito watched Kaguya carefully, Naruto and Ryuu's clones on his shoulders with Sakura's against his back. The moment Kaguya opened a window, Obito would pull them through with his Kamui. He just had to wait. As they watched, Naruto's chakra suddenly spiked, blasting him out of the ice before he leapt to Kaguya, blasting through a Chakra Arm and then sending Kaguya flying away. She crashed into a glacier and Obito smirked. At least she's not all powerful.
A moment later, Naruto was floating in the air beside Ryuu and there were hundreds of each, though, more than double the Narutos that there were Ryuus. Kaguya flew out of the hole she had made in the glacier as the clones and originals all charged. Kaguya held out her hand, sending out four Chakra Arms that blasted through the clones. Then, several got through. One threw a punch at her but she caught it. The next, she caught with her other arm. One hit her in the back before she blocked a kick with her shin. Then, the rest of the Narutos flew at her. Before they could reach her, she opened a window.
"Now!" Obito said, drawing on all of the others' chakra as he activated Kamui, dragging them all in.
They landed on a field of reddish brown sand just as Kaguya was exiting her window. She would see them. Obito instantly grabbed Sakura and Ryuu's clone, pulling both out of that dimension and into his own, leaving Naruto's clone behind.
"Why'd you bring us here?" Ryuu's clone asked.
"Hopefully, she'll believe that only Naruto's clone got through," Obito stated. "We'll have to wait until she moves on, though."
"How will we know?" Ryuu's clone asked.
"If I'm right, she'll decide to simply kill Naruto, rather than continue a protracted battle against him," Obito stated. "That way she can't be sealed again. Then she'll head back to the ice dimension, and we'll be free to return."
Ryuu's clone nodded and they waited in silence. After about five minutes, Obito opened a small rift using Kamui so he could look through, seeing Kaguya leaving through a window. Once she was gone, he transported the three of them back, landing beside a pile of ash that used to be Naruto's clone.
"It didn't disappear," Ryuu's clone noted. "I hope Naruto and the real me avoid that."
"I'm sure they will," Obito assured him. "For now, we need to figure out how to find Sasuke."
"How do we do that?" Ryuu's clone asked.
"If I'm right, she chose to kill Naruto rather than capture him because this time-space is connected to all of the others," Obito stated. "Which means, I should be able to open a window to them with my Kamui. However, this is the part that will take the most chakra."
Just then, Naruto's clone exploded into a cloud of smoke, sending its memories back to the original Naruto. Ryuu's clone sighed in relief, seeing he could still warn the original. Then, Sakura stepped forward as Obito knelt. Sakura set her hands on his shoulders, the seal from her forehead spreading over both her and him. Obito grit his teeth, blood running out of his eyes and every cell in his body screaming in pain as he activated Kamui, a rift beginning to slowly open in the air in front of him. As they watched, the rift stopped growing, revealing the lava world they went to first.
"Wrong one," Ryuu's clone reported. "It's the lava world. I can't sense him there."
Obito let the rift close, gritting his teeth and holding a hand to his eyes, waiting for the pain to fade a little.
"Are you alright?" Sakura asked.
"On to the next," Obito growled.
"Yes," Sakura nodded after a moment.
After a moment, Obito lowered his hand, opening a second rift. This one revealed large rock formations in the distance and a desert made out of tiny pyramids of sand. Ryuu's clone closed his eyes for a moment then shook his head.
"No," Ryuu's clone said and Obito let the rift close happily.
"Still not the right one," Obito sighed, breathing hard. "Sakura, how much chakra do you have left?"
"Enough," Sakura said.
"Save enough for the trip home," Obito warned. "We'll need it if we don't find Sasuke."
"We'll find him," Sakura promised. "Are you ready?"
"Yes," Obito nodded.
He began to focus again, this time opening the rift to see what looked like green water. However, it smelled sour and like acid. It began to flood through and hiss as soon as it hit the ground. Instantly, Sakura grabbed Obito, leaping away as Ryuu's clone shot into the air. Sakura was splashed on the back and the right arm, the acid beginning to eat away at her clothes instantly. As soon as she landed, she threw the flak jacket away then tore her sleeve off, though the acid had already begun to burn her arm.
"A sea of acid?" Obito blinked. "Are you alright?"
"Yes," Sakura nodded. "Let's continue."
"You're a Medical Ninja are you not?" Obito asked. "I'll wait for you to heal your wound."
"Don't worry about it," Sakura smiled.
"No," Ryuu's clone said, landing beside her, beginning to heal her arm. "You might need your arm later."
Sakura nodded, also panting now, and Obito wasn't much better off.
"Done," Ryuu's clone reported. "I'll open the next. You rest Sakura."
Sakura nodded and Obito looked up at Ryuu's clone.
"If we hold it for long, you will run out of chakra," Obito stated.
"I know," Ryuu's clone nodded. "But if it's the right one, you'll have Sasuke by the time I do."
Obito nodded and Ryuu's clone began to transfer his chakra to Obito in Sakura's place. Obito opened the rift, the hole spreading slower than when Sakura did it, but when it was wide enough, they could see a desert beyond, and Sasuke standing on top of a dune.
"Found...him," Ryuu grunted, barely able to keep up with the drain.
"Sasuke!" Sakura shouted, making him look over at them.
Then, he began to sprint. He sprinted toward them as fast as he could, but the rift was already beginning to shrink.
"Almost..." Ryuu's clone suddenly exploded into a cloud of smoke and Obito shouted in pain, the rift vanishing instantly as Obito hunched forward, holding a hand to his face and gasping for breath.
"No way," Sakura breathed. "Can you reopen that one?"
"Maybe," Obito panted.
"No need," Sasuke spoke up, startling both.
"How...how did you..." Sakura began.
"I can swap places with any physical object, but only over a finite distance," Sasuke stated. "It was close, but I made it by swapping with your flak jacket."
"Oh," Sakura breathed then smiled. "Thank goodness."
Suddenly, Obito doubled over, groaning before collapsing completely. His chakra was gone. He couldn't get them back. They were stuck. Sakura began to transfer what chakra she had, but Sasuke stopped her, transferring his own instead. Finally, Obito opened his eyes, pushing himself up and taking a steadying breath.
"We're going back," Obito stated. "Hang on to me."
"Right," Sakura nodded as she and Sasuke both placed a hand on his shoulders.
