Hey chikadees! Guess who's back with a whole new chapter? This girl! Ok so I'm supposin' you guys aren't too happy about how long this update took. Neither am I. But today is my 2nd day of school and I'm just now starting my other set of classes. Acting class here I come! [Insert maniacal laughter]. Ok back to the goods. OMG this chapter kicked my butt! Seriously I got stuck towards the end and it just didn't feel like my writing each time I forced myself to sit down and dedicate some free time to it. I went over it nearly a dozen times and I'm pretty happy with what I came up with in the end so I hope you guys do too. For those who are waiting patiently looking for the good stuff *wiggles brows* it's coming up in a jiffy I promise. Real soon in fact. The next chapter is underway so my plan is to get the chapter up by next Wednesday or Thursday. If I don't you so have my permission to throw paper balls at me or something.

SO, enough about my jittery rambles and onto the story.

Enjoy!

Kevin captured Eddward's mouth with his own as he flipped their position, towering over the smaller boy as he slipped his knee between the other's legs. He gripped the back of the couch as his tongue danced a sensual tango between the soft and eager lips that tempted him so. Small hands found their way to his chest and a groan from the red-head begged them to press on. His skin rippled in pleasurable goosebumps. Edd had clasped the edges of Kevin's dress shirt between his shaking fingers and drew the man closer, wanting so badly to feel the drum of his heartbeat through the thin veil of clothing that kept them separated. Briefly he wondered if Kevin's heart was pounding as frantically as his own, threatening to burst out of his chest from the sheer thrill of their performance. The music had been drowned out by the sound of their smacking lips, a groan and a whimper thrown in just to tempt the red-head further than he had planned to go. A gruff 'ehem' from the security guard pulled the two apart, red faced with a hazy shimmer of lust in their eyes. Kevin was the first to speak though he found doing so difficult.

"Y-you are…so amazing Edd." He cupped the side of the sockhead's face. His thumb brushed the boys lip and to his utter shock Edd took it into his mouth. He sucked on the appendage and scraped his teeth along the sensitive pad before taking it out and pecking the tip. Kevin released a hot and heavy breath he hadn't realized he had been holding. "Fuck."

Edd looked up at him with those big blue eyes of his and Kevin felt himself shudder under his stare. "I've never-" He was breathless. "I never knew this could be so…"

"Fun?"

"I am exhilarated." Edd smiled, brushing his hand across his forehead. "You are an exceptional dancer."

"Very hands on." The ginger smirked. "I can't believe you've never gone out and just had a good time. You're a natural at it."

To having fun or taking advantage of the situation, Eddward wasn't sure which Kevin had meant but he chuckled none the less. "I was a bit over protected back home. I wasn't permitted to join them in any of their late night activities. I suppose one would compare it to being under house arrest."

"Geeze." Kevin winced. "So you're telling me you couldn't leave the house or anything if your jerk friends went out?" Edd nodded, not bothering to correct him. It wasn't so much his friends that kept him under lock and key but for the sake of this moment he would keep that tidbit of information to himself. "What assholes. They totally missed out on the grooviest guy I've ever met."

Edd felt a bubble of laughter rumbling in his tummy. Who on earth says groovy anymore?

The red-head slid effortlessly onto the cushion beside his dark haired companion. He stretched one arm across the back of the couch just above Edd's shoulders, turning his body so he could face Edd completely. Tonight he wanted his attention nowhere else. To say he was thoroughly impressed would have been an understatement of the century. They had all night to enjoy themselves and Kevin would be sure to take advantage of every possible second.

"Yo Kev!"

He bit back an exasperated sigh and glanced over in Casandra's direction. The she was smiling; her blond curls now a mess of waves as she licked at her red stained lips. Her lipstick had been smudged during her make out session with the brunette. Speaking of which, said brunette was nowhere to be seen. Probably skipped out on her but Casandra didn't look any worse for wear. In fact she was smiling from ear to ear, the strap of her dress hanging loosely off one shoulder. "Pretty hot huh?"

He shrugged, immediately turning back to Edd but paused when he heard the audacious click of her approaching stiletto heels. "How about a dance? Or is Edd going to hog you all night?"

Kevin smiled at Edd before turning a stink eye to Casandra, the likes of which the sockhead was oblivious to as he switched his attention from Kevin to his unfinished drink. It would be a shame to waste it after all. Casandra didn't look put-off by his glare however and propped her hands up onto her hips. Could she not tell he was trying to make the moves here?

"Well?"

Kevin licked his lips while looking for a reputable excuse.

"Come on. To say thanks for helping me with that quiz last week."

Edd immediately sat at attention. "Quiz?"

Kevin inwardly sighed, scratching the side of his face. "Yeah. I helped her study for it somewhat." If you can call flirting and drinks over an unopened quiz guide studying I guess.

"How fascinating."

Kevin snorted. Really dork?

"What field of study are you in?"

The blond smiled, slipping next to Kevin with ease. Her hand fell over the broad expansion of his chest as she leaned forward to continue her talk with the sockhead. Her hand settled for a spot on the red-head's thigh, her thumb rubbing gentle circles in the process. "Engineering, like this big lug." She smiled while patting Kevin's chest. "We go to the same tech school. Actually we met in class a few months back. He was such a gentleman offering me his pencil and then buying me lunch that afternoon." She reached up to pinch Kevin's freckled cheek and earned a grunt of disapproval in return. "An absolute cutie. Well that was until I saw what was underneath."

Edd didn't know exactly what Casandra meant by 'what was underneath'; however he just couldn't help himself when he asked for her to elaborate. He assumed it was a sick side of him pertaining to the sudden bout of jealousy that ran through him. This was absurd. Eddward Marian Vincent didn't get jealous. Well, not that often, and certainly never over a boy! Ok, well, a man in this case but the point still stands. Edd's bluer than blue eyes peered skeptically at her, or rather at his reflection in the face of her dress' sequin embroidering. This was ludicrous. He was just being silly again. "My, how… thought provoking." He said with the force of a grin. He wasn't entirely certain of her sense of humor and mentally shrugged off the sudden chill that raced down his back. Questions proved difficult to ignore as they raced to the forefront of his mind: Has she actually seen what is underneath his clothing? Or was it rather the man under the mask of tenacious indifference, the one he parades for the rest of the world to see? Did she insult Kevin's masculinity twice fold by implying he was cute and now no longer so? How long have they known each other?

Casandra looked to him and giggled, brushing her unruly waves out of her face. She wiped at the smear of her lipstick located just above her chin and winked. "Wouldn't you like to know?"

It was then Edd turned as bright as a STOP sign. Oh my, is that what she meant? Right away he reached back for his beverage and started to sip on it as if his life were dependent on it.

Having had enough of being wedged out of his time with Edd, Kevin turned to Casandra and sighed. He really didn't like to do this but damnit if there was any chance of him getting laid he was going to take it. Call him a dog, or a pig, he wouldn't care. He was a man with needs and if the recipient was willing and ready then dang it he was going to make it happen. "Yo."

Casandra's eyes fluttered in response. Her extended lashes sparkled the slightest bit, making the hue of her eyes darker and much more enjoyable to look at. "Yo you're self."

"Go find Nat."

The waitress's smile immediately fell at his sharp and direct tone. "What?" She frowned, confusion visible in her eyes. "What for? He's just down st-"

"Exactly." He hissed beneath his breath. "Go. Find. Nathan."

It took a moment for the words to register. By the look on her face Kevin knew she wasn't pleased. Defiantly she crossed her arms, leaning her weight to one foot in that female display of indignant behavior nearly all women do. Immediately he knew he was in trouble. "Getting rid of me so soon?" Her eyes flashed angrily to Edd who peered innocently at her from over the rim of his glass. "Fine Kev I'll leave you alone." Her heels clicked proudly on the laminate floor as she strode furiously up to Edd and grabbed him by the elbow, pulling the thin boy to his feet. "Come on Edd. Let's go."

Edd stumbled over his feet, dropping his glass and shattering it on the floor. His eyes were wide with sudden panic as he flashed a worried glance in Kevin's. Everything had been so swell just a moment ago. Had he missed something? He looked back at Casandra, his slender and gentle fingers ready to pry her iron vise grip from his arm. By the way her fingers were digging he knew there would be a bruise come morning.

"Casandra if you could be so kind as to-"

"Because he's being a dick." She said with a dramatic wave of her hand, completely missing what Edd had said. Kevin's brows flew to the top of his head. Whoa what the fuck did I do?

Eddward picked at her fingers but oddly enough her grip tightened. He bit back a wince. Her grip was strong and threatened to crack bone if she didn't let up. By the looks of it she wasn't going to any time soon.

"Whoa hey what the heck?" Kevin stood up to come between them but the snippy blonde was faster, already at the velvet rope entrance of their reserved area before he was even on his feet.

Edd glanced over at Kevin as he was dragged away, not thinking to dig his feet into the ground to stop her. Kevin threw his shoulders up in a bewildered shrug, his silent message clear as a bell. I have no clue.

It wasn't until Edd had been dragged down the hall to the closest bar that Casandra's grip finally relented and she let him go. He pulled his arm into him almost immediately, rubbing the sore and now throbbing spot where her hand had been. "Ms. Casandra I don't fully comprehend why you had to so unceremoniously drag me from the couch and leave Kevin behind so I demand to know-"

"Didn't I say just to call me Casandra?" She halfheartedly smirked, one hand running through the wild tufts of her hair as she slipped onto a bar stool. "Drop the Ms. Part. I'm no marriage bound broad with no sense of style." Her tone of voice was quickly flattening like a left open Pepsi, her mood obviously turned sour by whatever unforgivable thing Kevin had said.

Edd's own mood was beginning to plummet as well. "O-of course Ms- I mean Casandra." A moment of silence passed between them before he too took a seat at the bar. He sat rather awkwardly on the stool, his rump sitting stiffly on the new upholstery which lacked a back to ease into, forcing him to lean forward onto the high rise table. His feet barely touched the ground and he felt like a kid sitting in a fancy high chair with his heel clad feet resting on the stool's foot rest. He pursed his lips and glanced at the pretty girl beside him. He had yet to decipher exactly what Kevin had said to suddenly upset her. He had thought all was well in the land of music and drinking but perhaps there was a troll a foot; an ugly one colored green from head to toe. Eddward was never one to dwell on petty things and if he hadn't caught what Kevin had said then perhaps it wasn't so terrible after all. Kevin was, as far as he knew, a lot of things: perceptive, argumentative, self-indulgent, and audacious; but never cruel. He found himself at the red-head's defense and even drew his thin black brows together in order to piece anything he could think of together to protect him from Casandra's wrath.

"So." He began. If he could approach the subject with cool affirmative questions then perhaps the mild intrusion might not set her off. "Kevin is being as you call 'being a dick' is he?" He raised one fine brow.

She huffed in response. "You can say that again."

Edd nodded his head. "Do you think he meant what he said?"

Casandra sat her chin in her hand, the finger of her other hand making lazy circles on the table. "It wasn't what he said. It was how he said it." He crossed both arms over her chest and glared at nothing in particular. "He's the dick of all dicks Edd. He's rude, and selfish, and wouldn't even dance with me when I wanted to." Her blue eyes danced angrily behind her false lashes. "He didn't even comment on how dressed up I got. And I worked so hard to look pretty." She looked on the verge of tears and Edd was on the verge of a heart attack. He had never been good around women who cried. Female tears were his stupid juice, to put it lightly.

He held up his hands as though to protect himself from what was about to happen. "Um uh-" he looked about frantically. A random coupe nearby were looking at them weirdly, the woman especially disturbed by the sight. Inwardly he cringed. "I suppose thanks are in order Kevin." He grumbled beneath his breath. Thanks a lot.

With a sniffle she gazed up at the dark haired boy and sighed. "I'm sorry for dragging you out here. I just didn't want to be alone and I thought that maybe you would understand."

"I do. I think." Clearing his throat Edd attempted to remedy the situation as best as he could. "Perhaps we should return." This was a dispute between the red-head and her after all. He had no business being put into the middle of it. "A healthy one on one discussion proceeding your, uh, disgruntled conversation should offer alleviation towards your dilemma."

Casandra's expression turned distraught.

"I meant that you should tell Kevin how you are feeling."

He brushed his fingers across the exposed flesh of his collar bone feeling incredibly uncomfortable. He wasn't quite sure what protocol demanded in these types of situations and it didn't help that he wasn't the most knowledgeable person when it came to interpersonal communications. Sure a class on the subject had been offered at the university he had attended but the in-depth study had been lacking and now he found himself in the same precarious position. Back home he knew how to comfort his two best friends when patches got rough, however, he knew practically nothing about the sweet bubbly blonde he had met just hours before. Whatever Kevin did to upset her better be fixed soon. Her glossy blue orbs were twinkling with the threat of shedding tears all over the bar.

"Hey!"

Speaking of the red-headed devil…

Kevin stormed up to the bar with a fire raging in his belly and his hands curled into white knuckled fists. His strides were long and his feet landed heavily on the floor emphasizing more than just his irritation at the moment. His red brows were drawn at the center of his forehead as a scowl marred his handsome face. The room suddenly filled with an unseen static that popped Edd's perfectly set anxiety bubble and coated his insides with what he could only define as dread.

The ferocity of Kevin's gaze was sharp and true, not a hint of untruth to be seen as his jade orbs flickered sourly over them. The invisible smoke of his fury trailed after the man like a phantom promise of trouble. Once again the sockhead felt his mood plummet; this time taking his heart down into the pit of his stomach. Consciously he stepped back, his cheeks burning red in embarrassment. Edd had never been particularly confident in his ability to handle confrontation and right away he felt his heart start to beat away in his chest. He swallowed hard, turning partially to the table. He knew that he had done nothing wrong, that whatever had happened between Kevin and Casandra was strictly between the two of them; but he couldn't rid himself of stale and bitter awareness that being there made him feel.

The steaming ginger hadn't taken kindly to his date and conquest being dragged off to god knows where. The fact he had been completely blown off by his friend, and his date by default, hadn't even crossed his mind yet. Seeing Casandra storm off with Eddward… he couldn't even put words to the plethora of emotions that suddenly took hold of him. At first he had been confused. One minute Casandra was happy go-lucky, sucking face with some broad he had never seen before, and now she was throwing a hissy fit. What was worse was that she intentionally stole Edd away from him! Before getting to his feet and chasing after them, Kevin had tried to find a reason not to. It was just a ridiculous women thing, he told himself, but even that sounded silly to him. When he realized he couldn't find a single good excuse, he bounded after them. The temperature of his body rose the more he thought of the dork looking back at him with just as much confusion in his eyes, perhaps looking even scared. He knew the moment they were out of sight that he had made a mistake in letting them leave. His male pride was much too wounded to get this go.

"Woman! You've got some nerve."

The blonde beauty shot her ugliest look in his direction, not bothering to face him fully. She instead took to sneering at him over her shoulder. The bartender stood at attention while shaking a customer's drink and had it not been for Eddward's attention to detail the man might have been inclined to call security. The sockhead offered a sweet and apologetic smile to the man who nodded back in understanding and went back to his mixing duties. Externally Eddward sighed in relief but that feeling wouldn't last long.

Casandra sniffed, her nose pointed up indignantly. "Don't call me that. Prick."

Kevin squared his shoulders. The remarkably straight lines of his shirt creasing into unsightly wrinkles as he came to stand beside his date, one arm stretched out behind Edd as he clasped the edge of the bar table. "You don't just walk off with a guy's date like that."

"I can do whatever the hell I want Kev." She snapped.

Kevin threw his hands up in defense. "What the fuck! What the hell has got your panties in a wad?"

Edd hid the astonished expression on his face by biting hard onto his lip. Such a comment would warranted an open palm slap to the face in his opinion. Never would the nerd have thought to call a lady 'woman' or make derogatory remarks about her unmentionables. It was rude and entirely uncalled for. Then again Kevin had a mouth on him with little to no tact to follow. The reprisal in that was that at least he was honest.

"You want to know what's got my panties in a wad?" She hissed between clenched teeth. She stood slowly, finally turning towards him so that he may face the sharp end of her tongue. "I came here to have a good time and hang out with friends-"

"Well so did I." Kevin snapped, crossing his arms.

Casandra glared at him harder. "Shut up! I'm talking." She flipped a fallen strand of yellow from her face and anxiously ran her fingers through the loosened strands. Her eyes switched form the fuming red-head to the sweet gap toothed boy beside her. His smile encouraged her further. Relenting, she gave a short and breathy sigh. "All ya' been doing is blowing me off tonight and let me tell you mister I don't like it one bit." The ends of her dangle earrings clinked and clanked against the slope of her neck as she lowered her gaze to the floor. Her bottom lip started to quiver pitifully. "I just wanted to dance with you but you blew me off hard core. I mean, did you even notice my dress or my hair?"

Kevin's face scrunched up, his eyes screwed shut and his fingers pinching the bridge of his nose as he struggled to process what she just told him. "Whoa ok let me get this straight- you're upset with me because I didn't compliment on your stupid dress or something?"

The sorrowful expression on her face was immediately written off as she began to seethe. Her cheeks turned red and she stomped her foot on the ground earning the attention of a few nearby patrons. "You're a total idiot jerk who needs to get ran over by a bus!" She slapped her hand on the bar table and threw her thumb behind her shoulder. The bartender's head snapped up. "Make him pay for my mojito."

Kevin gawked and Edd shook his head. "What the fu-"

"Make it two." She added.

Kevin threw his hands up in defeat.

So what you think? I'd like to know.

P.s. I drew a thingy for this thingy. Did I tell ya'll that already? Eh, I don't remember. But I have one! I think it's pretty cute, Edd and Kevin practically cuddling with Kevin in his jacket and Edd in his poor man's coat. Should I put one up for not? Let me know what you think. TTFN, ta-ta for now!
