A/N: Remember me? After writing 2, 15-page essays and 1, 5-page essay final, the story is back! I'm thinking we have about 5 more chapters of this story. What do you guys think, sound good?

I remember looking into my mother's eyes when I was younger, and just knowing that I was home. Her green eyes would warm me up in comfort and love. It didn't matter if I had acted out of turn or selfishly throughout the day, because she was my mother and she loved me anyway. Looking back on the time I had with my parents and thinking of everything that has happened since was humbling.

When I hugged Christina I felt home again.

Christina was the best friend I ever, and will ever, have. We had a bond that I would never be able to fully understand, we were not sisters but we were connected. When Christina went to let go of our embrace I pulled her back.

"Ekkk, Anna you're suffocating me," she jokingly croaked out. We both giggled, and of course, once we started we couldn't stop.

Everyone was there: Christina, Will, Zeke, Uriah, Shauna, Tori and a few faces I didn't know. Four stood by Zeke while I caught up with everyone.

"So," I finally said, "We have to go to Candor."

Everyone quieted because social hour couldn't support the weight of reality anymore. We were living in terrible circumstances and the city needed to change. One Faction could not cause hundreds of people to live in fear and filth. Erudite may think they were truly helping the city but their attempts failed miserably and they were dragging the city into decay and chaos.

"Candor?" Christina questioned full of hope. I knew she was thinking about her family. By going home she could make sure they were all right and understood she wasn't the bad guy.

"Yes," answered Four. He came and stood next to me, his arm folded across his chest causing him to look like the intimidating instructor he was just a month or so before. "We need to tell them the truth. Unfortunately, getting there and having them listen may be tricky but once they've heard, they wont be able to ignore it."

"You know the only way they would believe you is if you took the truth serum, right?" Christina questioned us. "The serum is powerful and they could ask you anything under it."

"I have nothing to hide, anymore," I said with conviction. "It's time to start telling the whole truth, hiding hasn't done be any good, ever."

Four stepped closer to me, his arm rested against my arm with subtle comfort. "Christina, we want you to come with us, be a mediator."

"Of course," she said.

"Then I'm coming too," interjected Will.

I looked to Four, I didn't know how many of us should go or what other responsibilities we had here. This would have to be his call.

"That is fine," he said after a while. "Zeke, you should stay and delegate. If anything happens, you are in charge. Make sure that the Dauntless, Abnegation and Factionless get

enough food."

Zeke nodded, "How long will you be gone?"

"Hopefully not long," Four stated without really giving an answer.

The trip to Candor was actually pretty easy. The worst part was the anxiety of seeing someone from Erudite, but it never happened. We strolled up to Candor and walked right in. Of course, we immediately drew attention then, my face was all over wanted pictures and we were dressed in very Dauntlessesque clothing.

We were surrounded by large men in black and white clothing within minutes of our arrival. It was kind of humorous because we could have easily fought our way though them but we let them believe they were being effective.

"Jake," Christina said looking at one of the men. "It's me Christina, do you remember me?"

The man she questioned nodded.

"We would like an audience to give our side of the story, the true story. Anna here," she gestured to me, "she is willing, no not only willing, she wants to take the truth serum." A smile played on Christina's lips. She knew something I didn't. There was a sparkly in the man's eyes. He looked at the others.

"Lets take the to Jack," he said sounding almost happy.

I looked at Christina with a puzzled look. She leaned into me and whispered, "Candor members love watching people take the truth serum. It's like entertainment for them, they thrive off the truth."

Jack Kang was a very straightforward man. He didn't want to hear any of our explanations before the serum. He said that he was supposed to call Erudite if I arrived on the premise but he said he would wait until heard the story. It would take an hour to gather everyone in the auditorium. During the wait I wondered what they would ask me.

Once everyone arrived to watch the truth serum, I was lead to a chair in the center of the stadium-sized auditorium. I felt very small looking around at the mass of people looking down on me. Jack was the one who injected me. I could feel the serum enter my neck, swim around my limbs making them limp and relaxed and cozening up in my mind. The lack of control was oddly, nice.

"What is your name," asked Jack.

"Anna," I said quietly.

"What faction were you born into," he countered.

"Abnegation," the response was so quick, so effortless.

"Was your family sad when you transferred?" Jack probed.

"No, my family is gone," I said.

"What do you mean?"

"I came home one day when I was about 14 or so, the front door was wide open, the furniture was overturned and my family was gone," again, I didn't even think, I just spoke.

"And what did you do after that?"

"I went and lived with a council member. His son had transferred and his wife was dead, or so we thought, and he didn't want to be alone. It appeared to be a perfect situation. I'm not sure if he was sad when I left but he definitely was shocked," the words were just spilling out now.

"Well, now that you are adjusted to the serum and talking a bit more we will move onto the more pressing matters," Jack said. "Tell me about the night of the attack against Abnegation."

"Well," I started. "One of the dauntless leaders, the one that over saw the initiate training, was injecting everyone with a serum. When he came up to me, he hinted that something was going to happen that night. I had, with the help of Four, been aware of the brewing problems between Erudite and Abnegation, as well as the control Erudite had over Dauntless. I headed straight to Four and we created a plan to save Abnegation form an unfair demise."

"You and Four," Jack Interrupted my retelling, "were the ones to create the plan? The ones that enacted it?"

"Yes, well," I paused. "Four gathered people we could trust and I created a plan to rescue Abnegation."

"So it was your plan," Jack concluded.

"No, well, yes, I guess." I looked at Four, he was smiling. I think he was happy I finally realized that it was me; I was the one that took action and made a plan. Of course, I never would have come to this conclusion on my own.

"Please continue," said Jack.

"Okay, so like I was saying, we created a plan to stopped Eurdites attack. Their plan was to use Dauntless soldiers under a control serum to eliminate Abnegation. So, logically, we wanted to try to stop the program, hide the dauntless weapons and eliminate their transportation. As an added precaution, we warned Abnegation and hide them with the Factionless, which is where they are now. We were lucky. Some of our team hid the weapons, well enough to where they still can't be found; others were able to stop the trains. The serum was turned on but shortly after was shut down."

There was silence.

"So, Eurdites plan was to eliminate Abnegation. Do you mean, they meant to kill them?" Ask Jack.

"Yes, they wanted to kill every man, woman and child in Abnegation."

The questions continued for two hours. By the end of the integration they knew everything that happened that night, everything that happened to me while being captured by Erudite, they knew I was divergent but they also knew, it didn't matter because I had saved an entire faction. When I was talking about Eric and the time I spent with him during my imprisonment, Four looked furious but I couldn't lie, I truly believed that Eric saved my life. At the end of the two hours I could feel the effects starting to wear off.

"Anna, we here at Candor thank you for your honesty," Jack said with a slightly bowed head. The room erupted in clapping. And it was over.

I found myself in Four's arm, not wanting to let go of him for fear of falling apart. The truth serum was easy enough while I was under it but the after affects were difficult. I realized that I had told so many of my secrets and it was exhausting.

But I had to keep going because telling the truth was only half of the mission. I looked up to Jack Kang and said, "so now can we talk?"

Jack's office was a glass box, no secrets could be hidden behind those walls, he was always out in the open. Four and I sat across from Jack with a very organized desk between us. Christina and Will went to look for her parents.

"Now that you know the truth," I said. "What are you going to do?"

"We are willing to set up safe and clean housing for Abnegation and Dauntless members that are currently in hiding. We unfortunately cannot take them all, but now that the truth is out, I do believe we can set up more housing with Amity," he said.

"What about the Factionless," I asked. "They helped us and listened to us when no one else did."

"Well, I can't really make that decision on my own, we need to meet with all the factions. Jeanine will be punished for her rash actions and then we will move on from there," he said pointedly.

"She will be punished?" I asked.

"Yes," he said. "But I cannot decide her punishment on my own, she is a very important person."

"The Factionless deserve a better life," I said.

"There is no argument here," Jack claimed. "However, I cannot make changes to the city's structure and system on my own."

"Would you support us if we did," I asked.

Jack was quite. His face was analyzing me. "What do you mean?"

"You said you can't make changes but changes need to happen." I gestured between Four and I, "We are going to make those changes. The city is never going to be the same as it was, never again will we shun hundreds of people because they don't fit into our tidy little boxes, never again will we let people go hungry, never again will we allow an entire faction to be threatened."
