Tyler POV

"Tyler what are you doing?" Mr. Schue shouted after me, but I didn´t care about him. Since James had had appendicitis a while ago I knew Lex had to get to the hospital very fast, I didn´t want to wait for an ambulance, as I carried Lex, still moaning and groaning out to my car. I put her in the front seat and pulled the seat belt over her, afterwards I got onto the driver´s seat and hit the gas as soon as I´d turned the key around.

The hospital wasn´t far away, and the police- cars that had been after me most of the way, disappeared when the police understood while I was driving a lot over the legal. I skid into the parking lot in front of the ER, pulled the key out and then lifted Lex up again.

Carole POV

"Carole, can you take this patient with…" Dr. Gibbs started when the doors opened and someone came in shouting- a voice I recognized without a problem.

"HELP. Somebody please help." I turned around and my fears turned out to be true.

"Oh my God Tyler," I ran over to him. "Lex?" I stroke Lex over her forehead and hair, God she was burning up, how could I have missed this? Suddenly, Lex lifted her head a little, and started choking and coughing, I knew what was coming so I looked around for a trashcan- but too late, Lex threw up- and it got all over Tyler´s shirt.

"I´m sorry Tyler." Lex whimpered.

"It´s all right," Tyler comforted her. "No worries." My colleagues came with a stretcher and Dr. Gibbs felt Lex´s stomach. When he pressed the area for the appendix, Lex whimpered, as if she was too weak to scream.

"She´s got appendicitis, let´s just get her to the OR as soon as possible." I held Lex´s hand and followed her into the elevator and up to the OR. They managed to fix so she could have the surgery right away, and then I kneeled down next to Lex´ head right before I would have to leave her.

"Lex, honey. I can´t go with you any further now, but as you´re coming into the room behind you, you´re gonna get a mask over your mouth and nose that will make you fall asleep, and when you wake up again I´m going to be there, Tyler and Burt are also gonna be there. I promise."

"Ma…" She almost whispered and then she was pushed away from me. I walked down to the ER again, where I found Tyler, still wearing the same shirt sitting in the waiting room.

"I moved the car…. What should I do now?"

"You´re staying here," I showed Tyler to stand up and follow me. "I promised Lex you, I and Burt would all be here when she wakes up." I showed Tyler to go into the staff´s lounge, and then told him to wait. I got a bucket with hot water, a cloth and then a checkered shirt from the room we had with extra clothes. When I came back to the lounge, the new nurse- Lori Youngblood whom I am not going to speak too much about how much I dislike her, was talking to Tyler.

"This room is only for the staff."

"Carole Hudson showed me in here." Tyler answered her.

"Sure she did." Lori answered him ironic. "You get out of here now."

"Lori." I came into the lounge, "this room may be for the staff, BUT, it´s also for our family. Tyler is family, and I showed him in here, so either you get out of here or you keep quiet." Lori looked angrily at me, but turned around and walked out the door.

"Sorry about her" I told Tyler as I pulled down the zipper of Tyler´s hoodie.

"Mrs. Hudson, I could do this myself you know."

"No I don´t mind. Sit." I pressed Tyler down on a chair and dipped the cloth in the water, I used it to wipe off Tyler´s neck and face.

"I´ll have to call my husband." I said afterwards. "Try this shirt on, if it doesn´t fit I could probably find something else." I reached Tyler the shirt, he pulled it on and started making the buttons. I walked over to my locker, and got my phone out of my jacket pocket, I quickly dialed Burt´s number.

Burt POV

I had a car up under the ceiling, standing under it to check what was wrong when my phone started ringing. I turned the spotlight off and got it out of my pocket. "Carole" read over the screen.

"Hello." I put the phone to my ear.

"Hey. Burt you gotta come here, Tyler just came in with Lex, she´s got an appendicitis, she´s getting surgery right now, I promised her we´d all be there when she´s waking up."

"I´ll be there in five." I answered her. Hung up and threw the spotlight over to Scott.

"Gotta run. Take this car." I didn´t listen to what Scott shouted back, as I ran back and changed my work- jacket to my usual winter- jacket, then I ran out again and to my own car. As promised, it was about five minutes before I got into a parking lot and then ran towards the hospital.

"Hey." The first one I saw after coming inside, was my wife.

"What happened?"

"Tyler came in with her." Carole answered me. "She has appendicitis, she´s in surgery now, but it´s routine and she´ll be just fine, there´ll be another hour before she wakes up though. Tyler´s in the lounge, he´s a bit shaken, maybe you should go talk to him." Carole smiled to me, I nodded and turned around and walked into the lounge.

Tyler sat in the sofa with elbows on his knees and staring right in front of him.

"Hey Ty." I pulled out a chair and sat down in front of him. "You okay?" Tyler nodded..

"You know… she just collapsed." He began. "And I know she´s all right and so… but… I was afraid."

"Of course you were, would be weird something else wouldn´t it?"

"Y´I guess." Tyler sighed, then we sat there talking until Carole came into the room.

"Surgery went fine, Lex will wake up soon so we should go upstairs right now."

Lex POV

I groaned and turned my head.

"Lex?" I heard a voice- but it seemed very distant. What had happened- the last thing I could remember was rehearsing the song for Regionals… what happened after that?

"Lex? Can you squeeze my hand?" I heard pops´ voice, and he put his hand in mine, I did my best to squeeze it and then opened my eyes.

"Hey… There you are," Ma, pops and Tyler stood around the bed I laid in.

"Hey." I groaned, then I looked to Tyler. "You look really hot in checkered shirts did you know that?" Tyler and pops chuckled. I looked to pops.

"What day is it?"

"Thursday."

"…Regionals?"

The next day

"I´m just going to sit on a bus for hours, then go up on stage and sing and dance- I´ll take it easy I promise, and then I´m going to sit on a bus home."

"No."

"Please ma?"

"Don´t ma me."

"Ma, I… The glee club have been there for me all year, I can´t let ´em down now… please?"

Tyler POV

I´d just have to face it when Mr. Schue got behind the steering wheel and turned the key around- Lex wouldn´t be there. I sighed and leaned my head backwards, I´d hoped. I´d really…

Just as Mr. Schue had started driving, a car I recognized as Burt´s pulled up in the parking lot and it honked several times in a row, Mr. Schue stopped the bus and I ran outside…

Lex POV

I had talked ma and pops into letting me go to Regionals in the last minute. As I got out of the car and took Ned´s hutch from the back seat, Tyler came running from the bus, he hugged me, while I held the hutch with one hand beside me.

"I knew you´d come."

"Lex." Mr. Schue hugged me too. "You okay?"

"Never better, come on now, we´ve got a competition to win." I walked towards the bus. As I came in the others cheered, and I high- fived with Liam.

"Alice, Marcie, Mariah. Lex gets her parts back." Mr. Schue shouted. And as he turned the key around Liam started singing.

Riding on a bus
Riding on a bus
Going to Regionals
Riding on a bus

We laughed at him, and when he started again almost everyone had joined in, by the fourth time everybody- including Mr. Schuester were sitting there singing.

Riding on a bus
Riding on a bus
Going to Regionals
Riding on a bus

"Hey guys." Aiden shouted out between the verses after a while. "We should sing going to win instead of going to."

Riding on a bus
Riding on a bus
Going to win Regionals
Riding on a bus

After singing the same verse over and over again for twenty minutes, Mr. Schuester told us to stop- if not, we would have lost our voices when we reached Stonewall High, I lifted my feet up on the empty seat next to mine- Tyler sat in front of me, Hayley on the other side of the aisle, talking to Connor who sat in front of her. I leaned against the window, Tyler had fallen asleep, I leaned against the window, and too fell asleep.

When I woke up someone had put something soft between my head and the window, I took it from there and recognized Liam´s folded hoodie. He sat behind me.

"Thanks for the loan, how long is there left?"

"You´re welcome. EY MR. SCHUE? HOW LONG´S THERE LEFT?"

"Only ten minutes." Mr. Schue shouted back. I leaned against the window and sighed.

"You nervous?" Liam asked.

"Yeah, a bit." I told him.

"Don´t worry, you´ll do just fine."

"Thanks Liam." I said and looked in front of me, where Tyler was just waking up.

Mr. Schue pulled up in front of a big stone- building, with a big sign that said. "Stonewall high." I took Ned´s hutch and walked out of the bus, we were guided through a hallway and to a room, boys to one room, girls to another, and then we would change our clothes. The boys had black jeans, blue buttons- up, golden bow- ties and black vans. We girls had black ballerina´s, with blue dresses, golden ribbons around our waists and golden hairbands. We had all dressed as the door knocked.

"It´s probably one of the guys." Anna said and opened it, but it wasn´t one of the guys, it was a boy I hadn´t seen before, he had blonde hair was at least two meters tall and smiled very big.

"JOE!" Anna shrieked and hugged him

"Hey li´l sis." He said, I understood this was Anna´s brother, Anna turned to us.

"Everyone, this is my brother Joe. Joe this is Lex, Marcie, Mariah, Hayley…"

"Okay, okay, won´t be able to remember them anyway, hi everyone."

"Hey." Came seven greetings. I sat down on a bench after I tied Hayley´s hairband, I was so nervous, and it was soon to begin, I went over the lyrics again and again in my head.

Right before it begin, I stood behind the stage, I was the first one to go out on the stage, I would sing the first verse and refrain all on my own, and boy I was nervous. During the intro, I was going out on the stage, which was all dark, except a spotlight in the middle, I´d stop there, turn the audience, and sing the rest until the second verse started.

Ben and Marcie walked out from each direction on the stage when it did, with each harmonica, Aiden came out of the door in the very back of the audiotourium, with a guitar, and played him too.

I held up the microphone to my mouth when the audience had finished clapping, smiled even bigger and said.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we´re the New Directions."

There had been put up these kind of stage- stairs on the stage, everyone now stood on them, I ran up to on the top of them as the lights were turned off, as we started our next song, spotlights started shining on the one that was singing.

We walked of the stage right after the last song had ended, singing stones and vocal adrenalines had preformed the songs before us, so now the judges would go through the teams, and make their choices. So the only thing we could do now was wait. We sat in the stairs when Amy´s family came along.

"Hey guys." Amy greeted them, and took the baby from her mother´s arms.

"Hello everyone."

"Guys… this is Adam," Amy meant the baby she held in her arms. Then she nodded to a boy, perhaps four or five. "That´s Alex, that´s Abbie." A girl, about seven or eight. "And that´s Aaden." A boy about eight. Aiden stood up and walked over to the boy.

"Hey buddy, ya wanna know what my name is?"

"Sure."

"Same as yours, Aiden."

"Cool." The boy said, Aiden ruffled in his hair and sat down.

"We should probably go back to our places." Mrs. Clance said, and kissed Amy´s forehead, then she took Adam in her own arms. "Good luck, you were the best."

"Thanks mum." Amy said and then we all went back to sitting there being nervous. Marcie stood up and walked back and forth.

"We´re gonna lose," she said. "I messed everything up, I missed steps everywhere, and screw the lyrics up." Ben stood up, said something to her that I couldn´t hear, they hugged. Marcie buried her face in Ben´s shirt, and then we were going onto the stage again. I pressed my lips together of nervousity, took Tyler´s hand and walked down to stage with the audience clapping for all three of the glee- clubs.

"First of all." One of the judges said. "I wanna say to all of the glee- clubs that they did a wonderful job, and I wanna thank you all for coming to this arrangement. Now for the scores. On third place…." He made a pause to hold us. "From Akron Ohio and Carmel High School, vocal adrenaline." I saw the director of Vocal adrenaline, he was red in the face and shaking of anger.

"On first place…. Going through to Nationals, in Washington D.C. July the first is…" I took hard grips around Tyler´s hand with my right hand, and Hayley´s with my left- would this be good news? Would be really get to Nationals this year?

"… From Sidney and stonewall High… the siiiiiiinging stones."

Being a jerk for ending it there I know, I was gonna end it right before they knew if they were gonna win it or not, so I guess I was being bot nice and mean
