Big Time Vacation Chapter 6
A/N: Hey everyone. Sorry it's been so long. So here is chapter 6.
Cammie's POV, same day, 2 pm.
I was woken up from my doze in the sun by James shaking me awake. "What do you want, James?" I groaned.
"How did you know it was me?" James asked.
"I can smell your body spray. Now what reason could you possibly have for waking me up from my nap?"
"I found out where Macey McHenry is and I need you to introduce her to me."
"How the heck did you find out where Macey McHenry is?" I asked. All the while thinking, I really need to have a chat with Aunt Abby.
"I have my sources, now come on."
"I said I can introduce you to her if we happen to run into her. Not that I will specifically go with you to wherever Macey McHenry is at that moment and pretend to run into her so I can introduce you two."
"What will it take to change your mind?"
"If I win, you have to do my laundry the rest of the time I'm here."
"That's not fair."
"Take it or leave it."
"Fine."
"Good doing business with you."
"Just go get ready."
"Where is she anyway?"
"Rodeo Drive."
"She is not going to believe I just happened to be at Rodeo Drive."
"Why not?"
"I'm not big on shopping."
"Come on."
"She'll know we went there to run into her."
"But then how will I know if-"
My phone buzzed. "Hold on." I checked my phone.
Macey: Hey, how's your vacay going?
Cammie: Alright. Yours?
Macey: Rodeo. Wanna meet up?
Cammie: Sorry I have to make sure Katie and the guys don't get into any trouble
Macey: Bring them along. Please. I need something to distract my mother.
Cammie: Fine. But you owe me.
Macey: Fine. I'll let you pick out your own outfit for your next date.
Cammie: Deal
"Fine. Let's go. But you have to make the others come with us."
"Oh come on. That's never gonna happen."
"Macey asked me to bring the rest of you. Figure something out. I'm gonna go get changed. I'll meet you downstairs in ten minutes."
"Fine."
Cammie's POV 20 minutes later
We were all in the car on our way to Rodeo Drive.
"So why do we all have to go?" Katie asked.
"Because it's what I agreed to with Macey. She thinks it's the only way I'm doing it. So that's how I'm going to do it."
"Ok."
We parked the car and met up with Macey, who, as predicted, gave my outfit a once over.
"Not horrible."
"Thanks."
"Aren't you forgetting something?"
"Yeah I guess you're right." And with that, I made the introductions. James automatically swept in.
"Hey. You know, you're even more attractive in person. Have you ever thought about being a model?"
"Nice try pretty boy. Find a new line. I've heard them all."
"Yeah but have you heard them all from someone as attractive as me?"
"So, Mace, where are your parents?" I jumped in, before Macey could tear James confidence to bits.
"My dad's at some event, prepping for the next campaign season. And my mom's at a meeting."
"Anyone else you're forgetting?" I asked.
"I think you know. What about you?"
"He's with Grant at their hotel."
"Hey squirt," I heard a voice yell from the distance.
"Hey Abby. How are you?" I called back, without turning around.
"I'm good." Abby replied, as she got nearer I could see the guy's eyes widen to the size of dinner plates.
"Hey everyone. How rude of me. I'm Abby Cameron, Macey's secret service agent."
"Hey. I'm James." James said, smiling.
"Oh I know who all of you are. When Macey told me that you guys were meeting up with her, all of you were looked up. You can never be too careful."
"So speaking of meeting up with us, you're going to the gala Saturday, right?" James asked Macey.
"Yeah."
"Are you interested in a date?"
"A date, yes. With you, no thanks."
"Why not?"
"You're not my type. And I already have a date."
"With who?"
"That's for me to know, and you to find out."
"James Diamond does not get rejected."
"Well apparently, he does. Come on Cam, let's go shopping."
"For what?"
"Accessories, duh."
"But I have to go watch these guys."
"We'll be fine by ourselves."
"Somehow I doubt that." Abby said.
"They can come with us."
"Fine. Let's go."
