A/N: Here's part 2 because I was too lazy to write it all together! Yay!
The phone rang and I bolted from my bedroom to get it before anyone else. If Dally was calling like he said he would, I didn't want to give one of my brothers the chance to get it before I did.
"Hello?" I answered breathlessly.
"Uh... Jill? Why do you sound so weird?" It was my friend Marilyn Montgomery.
"Oh, uh, no reason. What's up?"
"I just haven't seen you in a really long time. I wanted to catch up."
"Oh! Sure! But do you mind coming over, because I'm kind of waiting for another call." I asked as politely as I could.
She paused, "Is Darry there?"
I laughed and took a quick glance around what I could see of the house. She's developed a teensy crush on him over the past couple of times she'd been here. "He's not home yet, but I'm sure you'll see him around if you're here."
"Be there in a few." And she hung up.
I laughed to myself and went back in my room. I plopped down on my bed and heard the front door slam. I sighed. She couldn't be here already, could she? I got up once again and saw Darry covered in grime by the front door.
"Hey," I said, cautious of making him anymore mad at me.
"Hey. How ya doin'." He smiled slightly.
"I'm doin' fine. Uh, just so ya know, Marilyn is coming over soon." I watched his face carefully for his reaction.
His eyes got wide, "Marilyn Montgomery?" I nodded and started to grin. "Why didn't you tell me sooner? I have to go take a shower. She can't see me like this!"
"Sooner? You literally just walked in the door! And she's seen you like that before! I think she likes seeing you all dirty and sweaty." I chuckled to myself.
He didn't hear a word I said, because he ran past me and slammed the bathroom door shut and I heard the shower turn on. Boy, those two. I looked out the window to see if Marilyn was here yet, she didn't live very far away, so it wouldn't take her that long to get here. I saw her rounding the corner and I walked towards the door to meet her. I heard the shower turn off. That was definitely not long enough to get clean, I said to myself.
Marilyn stomped up the porch steps and I opened the door for her. She greeted me with a huge smile and a hug. I ushered her inside and she stopped dead in the middle of the living room. I had no idea what was going on until I heard Darry yell from the bathroom, "Jill, have you seen my blue shirt?" I looked over to the hallway and he was bending over a pile of clean laundry, and all we could see was his towel covered butt.
I cleared my throat and he whipped around. He saw Marilyn and smoothly tried to prop his arm up against the bathroom door frame.
"Hey." He said to her and lifted his other hand to wave. His towel fell slightly and I may or may not have seen parts on my brother that I never wanted to see, but I was screaming too loud to know for sure. I covered my eyes as fast as I could and turned around.
Darry laughed slightly and he said, "But really, have you seen my blue shirt?"
I took a deep breath and said, "I thought it was hanging up on your door, but I can't be sure. And I'm not helping you look for it."
He laughed again, and Marilyn spoke up, "Come on, Darry, I'll help you look for it while she recovers." I didn't know how she could be so calm and collected when she almost came face to face with that thing. I shuddered.
I took another deep breath and the phone rang again.
"Hello?" I answered, sounding disgusted.
"Jill?" It was Dally.
I smiled, "Hey."
"'Sup?" He asked.
"I just got scarred for life. I need to get outta here!" I exclaimed.
I could almost hear him smiling to himself on the other side, "Great, because I was just about to ask if you wanted to meet up with me somewhere?"
I grinned, and twisted a lock of my hair, "Sure, at Buck's?"
"Nah. I got something special planned. Meet me at the Marriott at 7. Room 102."
I wrote down the specifics on the pad of paper next to the phone. "Ok, I'll see ya then."
"Later, doll." He hung up.
I put the phone back on the hook, and turned to see Marilyn smiling at me mischievously. "Who was that? Was that the call you were waiting for?"
I grinned, "It was Dallas, and yes, that's what I was waiting for." And then I added, "What time is it?"
Marilyn glanced at her watch, "About 6, why?"
I grinned even more, "I'm supposed to meet him at 7, so come help me find something to wear!"
We ran back into my room and shut the door, both lunging at my closet. "So what's the occasion?" She asked.
"I don't know, it sounded like he just wanted to hang out tonight."
"Yeah, hang out without pants on!" She joked.
"Oh, my God! What is wrong with you!" I shoved her playfully.
"What? It's not like you haven't had the no-pants-party with him before!" I was silent and she gasped, "You haven't?!" I shook my head. "Oh, honey, you are tonight! He wouldn't call you to invite you somewhere and give you this time to get ready if it weren't for somethin' special!"
I scoffed, "I don't think so. Besides, my brothers have been on virgin watch since Dal and I got together. It's been insane."
She put a hand on my shoulder. "Oh, my young naïve friend."
I shrugged her hand off, "Oh, shush. Just help me find an outfit." She laughed and riffled through my closet more.
I set off at quarter to seven. I didn't want to tell Darry about it, so I had to walk there. I walked in the lobby and no one looked up at me. Friendly place, I thought. I had no idea where Dally's room was, so I went to the front desk.
"Can you tell me where room..." I looked in my pocket for the directions, only I couldn't find it. "Uhm, room 102?" I asked, hoping I was right.
She gave me a weird smile and pointed me in the right direction without a word. I went down the hall and looked at the numbers on the door. When I reached 102, I knocked and hoped some scary bald guy wouldn't answer.
I heard the chain lock slide off and the door open. I saw the familiar dark eyes of Dally and I let out a sigh of relief. "Right on time." He grinned.
I smiled up at him and he opened the door wider for me to walk in. The room was dimly lit and the small TV and on in the background. There was a six pack of beer on the nightstand and Dally offered one to me.
"No, thanks." I said as I took off my coat.
He shrugged and popped the top off of one for himself.
"So what's so special that we had to come here?" I asked him curiously.
He smiled again, "Well, since we couldn't get any time alone any where else, I thought I would arrange it."
"You're such a dork! You didn't have to do all this!"
He shrugged it off and plopped down on the bed. He patted the spot next to him and I eagerly sat next to him. He slung his arm around my shoulder and finished off his beer as he started to play with the loose strands of hair that touched my shoulders. He set his empty bottle on the ground next to the bed and took my face in both his hands. He pulled me in for a deep, desperate kiss and I could taste the beer on his lips.
He readjusted his body so he had one knee on either side of me and pulled off his always present jacket. His hands settled on my waist and his grip tightened as he deepened the kiss. He rubbed circle into my sides with his thumbs and my stomach started to flutter. I knew what he wanted, and I thought back to the talk I had with Soda. He moved to play with the button of my jeans and I put a hand on his chest so he would look at me.
"What's wrong, doll?" He asked, with shallow breaths.
"It's just- The other day, I had a talk with Soda, and- I don't know how to put this, but... Do you love me?"
He seemed taken aback, and didn't say anything at first. I looked up and him expectantly. He tried to gather his thoughts. "I- Uhm... I've never loved any one before, so I don't know what it feels like, but I sure do like ya a whole heck of a lot." He smiled down at me and leaned in again. I pushed his chest away again.
"I don't think I can do this if you don't love me. I want my first time to be special."
He sighed and flopped over next to me, I turned over so we were face to face. "But that doesn't mean we can't still make-out." I grinned at him. He touched my cheek and brought my face to his again.
I faintly heard the door creak open and I lifted my head to find all three of my brothers and Marilyn standing in the doorway.
Dally groaned, "Not again..."
I jumped into a standing position and Soda looked at me with a disappointed look in his eyes. I threw my hands up and said, "I can explain."
