A/N: Sorry for taking so long to post this chapter. I had been on a trip for some weeks and then I had internet problems when I got back home…

In Your Dreams

Chapter 6

"Did something happen?!" Kanetsugu asked in concern when he saw Lu Xun rushing through the corridors. The strategist stopped suddenly and turned his head to look at him; his cheeks seemed to have gained a slight red shade.

"Naoe-san…I… I thought I was late for our meeting…"

"Oh you're calling me Naoe-san…"

"Ah… I thought it was the respectful way to call you from what I heard of your traditions."

"Oh you don't need to worry about my traditions; I'm in your country."

"Yes, but I like to learn about your land… I like so much to hear everything you tell me…"

Kanetsugu felt at a loss for words… The way Lu Xun was staring at him, with eyes that seemed to shine with a barely contained emotion… Suddenly he felt the small body meeting his and he had to warp his arms around Lu Xun for him not to fall. "What happened?" he asked in concern.

"I…" Lu Xun stared up and blushed. "I tripped… I'm sorry, I'm so clumsy…" He disentangled himself from Kanetsugu's arms, much to the older man's disappointment. "I know it may seem foolish, but I felt something was pulling on my leg…"

Kanetsugu stared behind Lu Xun and saw a blond warrior grinning.

"Good morning, man of the charms…" Gan Ning said before continuing on his way. It was such a nice day for the blond, he found himself in a very good mood. He walked around the corridors, halls and pavilions he used to walk while he was still alive. The places didn't seem to have changed much, but they were slightly different, felt slightly different, maybe because he saw much more at his current state; he could see things he wouldn't see before. He reached the training grounds and it seemed as if there was no one around at the moment, but he knew better.

"It's been a while since we met," a man said.

Gan Ning turned his head and saw an officer of Wu standing nearby, "Yeah long time no see… Taishi Ci."

"I spent a lot of time here…" he stared at the empty training grounds.

"And with Sun Ce too…" Gan Ning chuckled.

"Yes, we still like to spar."

"Oh so that's what you call it," Gan Ning couldn't help but smirk at his own comment.

"What do you mean?" Taishi Ci crossed his arms in front of his chest.

"I mean you don't like only to spar with our Little Conqueror…"

"…" Taishi Ci didn't know how to respond.

"What? Did you think no one else knew? I'm just curious now… How did the three of you work this out…"

"The three of…"

"Zhou Yu, Sun Ce and you."

"Oh… that…" Taishi Ci frowned a little, but then chuckled. "Don't you forget about Da Qiao."

"Oh yes, little Da Qiao, I wonder what she thought of all that…"

"Sun Ce was a good husband."

"No doubt about it, I guess he was a good lover too."

"Well…"

"I'd like to know… if things weren't that complicated already, I mean, all of you…"

"Hey what do you mean?!" he asked in annoyance and only saw Gan Ning smirking. "It wasn't like that, more than anything I saw him as a brother in soul."

"You keep creating those names to hide the truth," Gan Ning teased.

"There was nothing there to hide. I admired him deeply; he has proven to me he was a great warrior. I tested him, several times, until I saw he was the man I should follow."

"Even in the afterlife."

"Even in the afterlife," Taishi Ci repeated the words with an unhidden emotion behind them.

Gan Ning walked around some and stared at the clear blue sky. "You know… I wonder how you felt… How you felt when he died… I mean, now you must feel better to be able to meet him again, but when you couldn't… What did you feel?"

"I felt…" Taishi Ci paused for a moment, before he continued. "I felt like something was missing in my life… but I still had a purpose to live. I had to protect his brother… for him…"

"I see…" Gan Ning walked around some more. "I wonder if anyone misses me… everyone seems to be doing so well without me…"

"They miss you, believe me, but they have things to do."

"They have their lives to live."

"They have a goal to reach. They have to fight until all battles end."

"I know," Gan Ning said.

"He misses you."

"How do you know?" Gan Ning turned to Taishi Ci and stared at him.

"Everyone knows. Did you think no one else knew?" the man smirked, returning Gan Ning's same words to him. "Now I have to go."

"Yeah I know where you're going!" Gan Ning shouted when he saw Taishi Ci leaving, "Or should I say who you're going to meet…" The blond soon found himself alone. "Now I just have to wait until tonight I guess…"

"Beautiful night, isn't it?" Ding Feng said when he found Ling Tong outside, staring at the moonlight.

"Yeah, I guess so…." the other officer replied.

"I see something's going on in your mind…" Ding Feng commented when he saw Ling Tong's distracted state.

"Is it that obvious? Yeah, I've been thinking about some things."

"Mind if you shared your thoughts?"

"I… I don't know what's happening to me…"

Ding Feng knew Ling Tong hadn't been in his best days since Gan Ning died, the two of them had grown very close to each other over the years, until they couldn't been seen without the other. Everyone was trying to cheer him up, to call him to go out, but he had been very reclusive in the past days. "Sometimes what we need is just time."

"What do you mean?" Ling Tong asked.

"Sometimes we can't see it, but the caterpillar is a hidden butterfly waiting to reach the skies."

Ling Tong blinked in confusion, "I don't like butterflies that much."

"Hm…" Ding Feng crossed his arms in front of his chest and lowered his head in thought. "Sometimes it is just needed to wait for the right wind to make the ship sail in the right direction."

Ling Tong eyed Ding Feng in confusion. "Hm… okay." He decided it was better to go back to his room. "I gotta get going now, thanks for the… for the… company."

"Don't mention it, I'm always here if you need me to talk about your feelings or just appreciate the beauty of the moon."

Ling Tong nodded and went back to his room. The previous night had been… different from the other ones. He had been sleeping very badly for weeks, ever since Gan Ning died, and then the blond started to haunt him. Ling Tong had been scared for the first nights he felt his spirit; he couldn't understand why Gan Ning was so determined to make his life hell… Well, in fact, maybe it wasn't so strange… First he thought the pirate was bored and just wanted to have fun of the situation, but then he heard Gan Ning wanted him dead… He couldn't die yet; he had a duty to his kingdom. Ling Tong couldn't give up until he realized his father's dream, so he would serve Sun Quan for as long as he could. He didn't expect Gan Ning to behave so badly in the afterlife. Somehow, he wondered if he felt guilty for having exorcized him, but in fact, he felt somewhat relieved.

"He can search for a better place now…"

It was wrong for a spirit to keep this attached to earthly matters.

Ling Tong prepared himself to sleep and went to bed. "Will I dream of you again?" he wondered as he closed his eyes and waited for sleep to come.

Gan Ning was again at the strange forest from the previous night.

"Geez, Ling Tong, why do you have those strange dreams?"

He kept walking some more until he found a way to get out of that forest. After some time he found a road that led him outside and followed the course of a river. Along the way he found a strange looking rock… It was black and shiny and had the shape of a shoe… maybe because it was in fact a shoe, a very big shoe. At the other side of the road there was another one similar to complete the pair.

"It seems like it would fit a giant or a monster…"

The shoes were almost at the same height as Gan Ning and he passed in between them, wondering what they were doing there… It was then he realized there was a pair of feet and legs attached to the big shoes. He kept following the legs covered in gray socks with his gaze and found knees and then thighs…

"Hm baby blue…" he commented on the color of the panties he saw under the skirt.

"Gyahhhhh," a high pitched scream was heard.

Gan Ning was so surprised he fell to the ground, raising a momentary curtain of dust when his ass hit the road.

"What are you doing down there?!" he heard a girlish voice say.

He stared up and realized there was a big girl above him… with the same face of Sun Shang Xiang.

"You pervert!" she clutched her skirt tightly to her body to try to cover her underwear.

"Hey, I didn't know it was you there!" Gan Ning tried to defend himself.

"So you'd keep staring if it was another person?!"

"Well… yeah…"

"Bad cat…"

"What?" Gan Ning asked in question.

"You," Sun Shang Xiang pointed out at the blond warrior.

"Me?" he realized there was something waving behind him and it seemed to be attached to his body. He turned his head to look and saw a furry tale… "What the…" he grabbed it with his hand and made sure it was really a part of him… Then he realized there was something moving up his head… "Oh no…" He guided his hands on top of his hair and found big furry ears. "Oh shit…" he tried to pull it away but he felt he couldn't. "I have to take them off!"

"But they are part of your body…"

"This tail is not a part of my body!" he tried to pull it away.

"It won't work that way…" Sun Shang Xiang told him.

"Do you know where I can find a knife or something?" he stared up with a pleading cat-like look.

Sun Shang Xiang was touched by the stare and decided to help, "Maybe in the castle."

"What castle?"

"That one" she pointed out to a place over a distant hill.

"Hey thanks," Gan Ning lifted up and started to walk in that direction.

"Wait," Sun Shang Xiang alerted him. "Be careful, don't eat anything that tells you to eat them… I found a baozi telling me to eat it and then it happened to me…" Sun Shang Xiang pointed at herself, referring to her big size. "There are mean people living there too."

"Monsters?" Gan Ning questioned.

"My brother and my sister-in-law."

"Well, it doesn't sound so bad."

"Oh believe me, it is."

xxx

Gan Ning had finally arrived at the castle and said goodbye to the dragon who helped him cross a dangerous swamp. He sneaked inside with relatively ease and found his way to the kitchen. The man saw many baozis telling him to eat them but he knew better not to. He opened several drawers until he found a big sharp knife that should suffice for his task. Grabbing his tail with one hand, he positioned the knife to the base of it and prepared himself to cut it off. With a sharp movement it was done. He was relieved he couldn't feel any pain and was about to move to the next step when something caught his attention... Something was moving behind him and he realized it was another tail.

"It's no use," he heard someone say with a melodious and deep voice.

He turned around and saw a pitch black crow staring at him.

"What do you mean?" Gan Ning asked.

"It's no use cutting off your tail, it will grow back again," the crow said.

"I realized that…" the man said in annoyance.

"What you need is a Felinigablebris potion."

"A what?"

"A potion for you to stop being a cat…" the crow explained patiently.

"Where do I find it?"

"In a most dangerous path..." the crow covered his face with the wing in a dramatic way.

"Where?" Gan Ning inquired.

xxx

Gan Ning had sneaked his way through narrow corridors. There were too many guards there, but he finally entered the special chamber. The place was decorated with many tiny and colorful crystals on ceiling and walls, making him see shining sparkles as he walked. At the center there was a pedestal, and above it, a small vial. Gan Ning grabbed it and read the inscription, "'Felinigablebris', it seems to be the right one."

He opened it and drank the content of the vial in one gulp. His body felt warm for a moment and when he realized, he wasn't a cat anymore. "Great!" just when he said that, a siren was hard. The lights of the place started to flicker in a red color and soon several guards entered the chamber.

"Zhou Tai!" Gan Ning exclaimed when he saw the familiar face.

"Arrest him," Zhou Tai said in a deep voice.

The guards obeyed their superior's orders and restrained Gan Ning.

"Wait, I did nothing wrong! Don't you remember me?" he said as he was dragged outside, "Zhou Tai! Help me!"

xxx

The queen and the king of hearts were playing cards in the throne room when several guards entered the place.

"My lord, my lady," Zhou Tai announced his presence.

"What happened?" Lianshi asked when she saw the guards bringing a blond man.

"This man committed a most severe crime."

"What was the man's crime?" Sun Quan asked in concern.

"He drank 'the potion'."

Lian Shi stood up in an instant, alarmed with the information. "How could he..." she had to stop her words such was the anger she felt.

"Can't you just make more of it?!" Gan Ning asked.

"You're not a cat anymore?! It's the most hideous crime in our kingdom!"

Gan Ning blinked in surprise.

"You shall be punished, how could you let go of your fluffy cat ears…?" Lianshi said in sorrow.

"Off with the head?" Zhou Tai asked.

"My queen, I think you shouldn't be so harsh..." Sun Quan tried to reason, "He didn't know it was a crime."

"But…" Lianshi stared at Sun Quan's pleading face. "As you wish, my lord, but he still needs to be punished," Lianshi said.

xxx

Ling Tong ran through the corridors of the castle desperately until he found the torture chamber. The room was decorated with red roses and the walls were covered in pink satin. Sprawled over a heart-shaped bed, lay a tied up Gan Ning. Standing next to him was Zhou Tai holding a belt with several metallic hearts encrusted on it. Sun Quan and Lianshi were sitting on a couch beside the bed, watching the scene.

"One more time!" Lian Shi said and Zhou Tai raised the belt in the air.

"Wait!" Ling Tong yelled and ran toward the bed. "Gan Ning, what did they do to you?!" he sat beside the man on the bed and inspected his body. His skin was hurt with red wounds of a heart-shaped form.

"Ling Tong..." Gan Ning looked up and whispered weakly.

"I've been searching for you in the entire kingdom... what did you do?"

"He committed the worst crime, he gave up on being a cat," Lian Shi said. "His punishment should be death… but I'll let him go."

"Thank you, my queen!" Ling Tong bowed.

"Release him," she ordered and Zhou Tai did as he was told.

"Come," Ling Tong put an arm around Gan Ning's waist and helped him walk.

"I'll order the tigers to escort you to the forest, so no harm will be done to you," Sun Quan said.

"Thank you, my lord" Ling Tong smiled and then stared at Gan Ning in concern, "Can you walk?"

"Yeah, I think I can…" the blond still felt a little dizzy, but he tried to be strong.

"Let's go then."

Ling Tong guided him outside, without anyone trying to stop them.

"I don't understand," Gan Ning said while he was being helped to mount Ling Tong's unicorn. "They made all that fuss about the cat thing then they just let me go..."

Ling Tong mounted the unicorn and held Gan Ning tightly, instructing the white animal to go on and saw Sun Quan's guardian tigers following. "It's because you won't have fur to be caressed anymore, it's a terrible crime."

"If it's such a terrible crime why did they free me?"

"Because I arrived," Ling Tong said.

"I see, that's your dream…"

"What are you talking about?" the man asked in confusion.

"I thought..." Gan Ning started to speak, but decided it was useless to try to understand that situation.

"We are almost there," Ling Tong pointed out.

"But we just left the castle..." Gan Ning realized they were reaching the forest again. The tigers growled a farewell, sobbing in sadness for having to let them go. Soon the unicorn let them in front of a giant pumpkin with windows and a door.

"Come here, Gan Ning," Ling Tong helped the blond out of the unicorn. "We're home."

The horned horse nodded his head and waited for them to dismount for him to go back running, disappearing in the woods.

Ling Tong opened the pumpkin's door and Gan Ning could see a cozy little house. There was a little place reserved to work, with a table and sewing machine, where some hats were in the process of being made. There was a little kitchen with a small table, an oven and cabinets full of teacups. Beside the kitchen there was a space for an armchair and a bed, in which Gan Ning was placed carefully.

"We have to take care of these wounds," Ling Tong said. He took off his hat, rummaged through a cabinet and grabbed a vial and a small cloth. He sat on the bed beside Gan Ning and pressed the fabric with the medicine to the blond's abused skin. "Does it hurt?"

Gan Ning frowned a little, hissing with the stinging sensation, but endured the small discomfort. "Not really..." He saw Ling Tong applying some more of it on his stomach, carefully, brushing his fingers just slightly to his skin.

Ling Tong inspected the wound closely, bringing his face near the place. "Is it better now?" he looked up.

"Yes," just after he said that he saw Ling Tong place a kiss on the wounded spot on his stomach. "Yeah, better now." Gan Ning saw the other man treat another heart-shaped wound in the middle of his chest, kissing the spot too. Ling Tong kept repeating the same process and the blond didn't even comment when he saw the brunet doing it to unnecessary places, it felt so good anyway.

"I need to take off your clothes for me to keep treating you, okay?"

"Alright," Gan Ning answered. "I think you need to take off yours too."

"That's for sure," Ling Tong started to undress.

"Great!" Gan Ning grinned as he watched the scene. He didn't have much time to admire Ling Tong's body though, as the brunet started to do the same to him.

"Hmm I need to treat the wounds on your back..."

"Okay," Gan Ning turned and felt Ling Tong shift on the bed.

The brunet pressed the cloth with the medicine to the blond's upper back and then moved it down, leaving space for him to kiss the area. He did the same with the next spot and slid his free hand over Gan Ning side, caressing the place with his fingers absentmindedly.

Gan Ning felt a slight tickling sensation, but it wasn't bad. Then he felt Ling Tong's hand sneaking below him, so he offered some more space by lifting himself a little more off the bed. The hand moved down and found the blond's cock, which responded to the touch as soon as the fingers warped around it. Gan Ning closed his eyes and moaned deeply, feeling Ling Tong's lips sliding over the sensitive skin of his wounded back and the hand stroking him expertly. He felt a mix of stinging pain followed by a soothing sensation, all warped up in pleasure that made him harden really fast. That felt so good he wanted to complain when the hand left him. Soon however, he felt the tip of a finger circle his entrance.

"Oh wait... I see where you want to get..." Gan Ning said.

"Is there a problem?" Ling Tong pressed the slicked finger in.

Gan Ning hissed with the intrusion, but didn't feel any pain. It was then he felt the finger retreating only to come back with another one. He fought against it instinctively, but he was impelled to let them in with their insistence. Then he felt his body arch in pleasure when the fingers reached out in deeply, brushing his prostate.

"What? "Ling Tong chuckled, "Cat got your tongue?"

"Fuck you..." Gan Ning hissed in pleasure when the fingers brushed that spot again.

Ling Tong chuckled, "You know you're gonna like it," he retrieved his fingers and replaced them with his erection.

"Ha... in your dreams," Gan Ning retorted and felt the member impaling him, entering slowly, until it reached deeply into him. He closed his eyes tightly and gripped the sheets. "Hey... easy there." he said after he felt the member retreating and slamming back in hard.

"Oh what, the great Gan Ning can't handle it?" Ling Tong retreated and patted his ass mockingly.

"I just came back from a torture session, remember?" He felt the member entering slowly again.

"Come on, you weren't hurt so badly..." Ling Tong kept thrusting in and out languidly. "You just wanted me to give you attention."

"And you just wanted to take advantage of me!"

"Ooh and look how you're suffering..." Ling Tong heard a pleasure filled moan escape Gan Ning's lips when he reached his prostate again.

"You bastard..." Gan Ning hissed and then felt a hand grip his member again, stroking him in rhythm with the thrusts. "When I get you... I'm gonna fuck you so hard... you won't be walking for days..." He chuckled and then groaned when he felt a harder thrust.

"Uh hm..." Ling Tong leaned forward and brushed his lips over Gan Ning's ear, whispering in a pleasure filled voice, "Promise me?"

Gan Ning moaned loudly when it became too much for him; soon he was coming profusely, overwhelmed by so much pleasure. He heard another deep moan coming from behind; Ling Tong came with a hard thrust, burying himself deeply, joining their bodies close together.

The blond reached behind to touch Ling Tong and felt warm skin covered in sweat. "Good," he buried his face on the pillow, but soon was made to lift it once again when his hair was pulled. He turned his head and his lips were greeted with a kiss; he let his mouth be invaded by the warm tongue and moaned into the kissing. With a slick sound the warm mouth left him and he reached out for it. He heard a chuckle.

"Come back here," he pleaded. Then he saw he wasn't pressed to Ling Tong's body anymore. He was in a cold dark room and the other warrior was lying on a bed some feet away from where he was. Gan Ning went to the bed's direction and climbed on the mattress.

Ling Tong had his eyes opened, "I had one more of those dreams..."

Gan Ning caressed his face though he knew the man wouldn't feel it, "Yeah."

"I gotta clean myself..." Ling Tong realized he had come during that strangely vivid dream.

The blond chuckled, "Glad to know I make you this happy..."

A/N: Well, I think I felt so sorry for Ling Tong's ass in all my stories that I needed him to have Gan Ning's ass at least once xD It's not that I think that Gan Ning wouldn't let him, but I think it would be something like him agreeing and then Ling Tong seeing that things were going a little different than what they had planned… xD

I'm sorry for the late chapter and for taking so long to reply to the reviews, as I mentioned, I wasn't at home and I didn't have much time for anything… and then when I got back home I didn't have internet for a while…

I have to thank my beta-reader for suggesting me the name of the potion… I really suck at giving names xD Of course I also have to thank Nightlore for being my beta and for being such a wonderful and adorable person ^^

Thank you so much Scytherageroses, Animelover6000, Ablueberrynight and Ischemia for the previous chapter reviews and for everyone who showed their support in some way. You guys are so special and make me feel so happy. I'm really glad for your each one of your words. You give me the strength to keep going, I don't know if I'll have this strength otherwise.

Now I'm finally playing DW8 xD
