How long has it been since I've written this? A year, give or take? I almost forgot all about this story. Then a certain writer just had to make me start thinking of my old stories again, so I decided to keep up with this, at least for now. Dedicated to my most and sometimes only reviewer- Meow Miss K!
Disclaimer- Nope, don't own these characters, except the OC's. Do I look like an old British man? I sure do hope not. I might not be pretty, but at least I actually look 16 (nearly... my birthday is on Wednesday!)
The Junkyard
The leaders and elders of the Jellicles were sitting in a circle; all trying to come up with plans to save Alex. Nobody wanted the innocent girl to be hurt, especially by Macavity. However, none were able to come up with any plausible ideas.
"Any thoughts?" Deuteronomy asked quietly, looking into the eyes of the cats inside the room. No one answered positively.
"If there is no way to get Alex out, I'll just do what Macavity wants me to do." Munkustrap told him. "I'm not going to let Alex get murdered for what Macavity holds me responsible for." He said, referring to Macavity's banishment from the tribe so long ago.
"But what if his demands don't stop there? What if Macavity wants Old Deuteronomy next? If that happens, our tribe is over." Skimbleshanks pointed out.
Deuteronomy glanced down at his feet. "He's right. His anger doesn't extend just to you, son. And the Everlasting Cat knows that I would step down before you got hurt."
"Then what will we do? Alex shouldn't have to die because she just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time!" Alonzo exclaimed angrily. "She's never done anything wrong, other than annoy a couple people!"
Munkustrap nodded. "I agree with Alonzo. This isn't her battle." Munkus looked at his father. "I wouldn't be doing my job if she died because of me."
"But Munkustrap-"
"No. Unless anyone of you can come up with a way to save Alex, tomorrow morning, I'm going to surrender to Macavity." He stared everyone in the eye, a hard look on his face.
"It doesn't have to be this way; you guys get that, right?" A voice from behind Munkus said. Everyone craned their necks to see the Rum Tum Tugger walking towards them.
Munkustrap rolled his eyes. "And what's your brilliant plan?" he asked, hoping Tugger wasn't drunk or high, or whatever he usually was.
"The same one as last time. Bast, don't you remember what we did the last time we needed someone saved from Macavity, or else the tribe would fall apart, and all that jazz?"
Everyone looked at each other, than back at Tugger.
"You might want to ask the Magical Mr. Mistoffelees, the Original Conjuring Cat." Tugger shrugged. "It wouldn't be a bad time to try and get him to help."
Munkustrap was shaking his head. "He moved away from our tribe after the Ball that year, remember? How can we get to him in time?"
"It's cool. I know where he lives now; I bet I could get him to help. Alex is a pretty nice girl, and she's the last female kitten I need to convert into one of my fans. I'm certainly will help save her from Mr. Ginger."
Some cats were rolling their eyes, but Munkustrap was trying to hide a grin. "Try to find him, Tugger. If he will help, this will save us from two disasters."
"No problem." With that, Tugger gave a salute, and ran off into the night.
Soooooooooo... Who's ready to leave me a review? Anyone, anyone? Come on, be my besties, please? Even a 'good job' or a ':)' review makes me feel totally awesome. Even if it stinks, you can tell me that in a review. Free website and all that jazz.
I'll try to make an Alex chapter sometime this week.
Have a stupendous day!
