I could tell by the look on Jaquerjacks's face that he knew I was severely confused about what was going on. I must have looked like my brain was going to explode or something because, after a while of looking at me, he started grinning. And that grin turned into a laugh. Which turned into Cifer yelling out, "What's so funny? It's true! I don't love her! Why do you find that so difficult to believe?!"

Jaquerjacks waved a hand at him, "Not you...him," he managed to get out between spurts of laughter. Cifer quickly looked back at me and I watched the amusement pass through his eyes. I blinked awkwardly and tried to change the topic, "Anyway, I'm not quite sure what just went on but I'm going to continue with the second reason I came here as if none of that just happened."

I paused to wait for Jaquerjacks to stop laughing and continued when the sporatic laughter had mostly died down, "As you know it is my job to 'monitor' you. Which means that I'm supposed to be in charge of when you can and can't leave this house. However, I honestly don't care too much about what you do as long as you don't cause chaos in the soul society. So I was wondering what exactly you two wanted to do about that. I mean it could continue as it is now and you could come to my house or office if you wanted to go somewhere far away or I could work to get the Head-Captain to let you go by yourself or to assign someone else to monitor you when I 'can't' so to speak."

Jaquerjacks stood up from the couch and stretched, "So basically you want to know how we want to handle our freedom." I nodded expecting him to make a sarcastic comment or to do something disrespectful, but he didn't. He just looked at Ulquiorra who was still sitting in the floor.

There was a long pause before I got an answer from him, "Well how about we use a mixture of coming to your office when we want to go places and assigning someone else."

I knew once again I looked confused. I had expected to say they wanted total freedom. I could also tell once again that he could see the confusion in my face.

Instead of explaining he just laughed, "You might get an explanation at a later time but for now I believe we have some cleaning to do since someone was so upset about it earlier. Not that I see it as a big deal. I mean what's the difference between the house being clean and being a mess as long as we can still walk? Anyway...I suppose you should go."

I was more than confused at that point. It was like they were putting up a wall to protect themselves from me. Regardless I was trying to make them comfortable so instead of questioning it I just stood from my place in the floor and bid them farewell. As I head ed to the door Cifer stood up as well and said, "Also...if you can try to get Inoue Orihime assigned to us as the alternate. I know it doesn't make much sense but..."

"I know. I know, she treats you as equals. Correct? I'll be on my way."

I didn't get a response again before I had left the building. On my way out I saw orange hair duck to the side of the building but I didn't question it or investigate why. Instead I went straight to my office as fast as I could. I got there in less than five minutes and was surprised to find Rangiku inside when I opened the door. She snapped her head towards me as soon as the door opened and threw her hands up beside her face, "Oh Captain! I didn't expect you to come back here since all your work is done."

I raised an eyebrow, "And just what were you planning to do since you look like you were just caught pulling some kind of massive prank?"

She blinked a couple of times and relaxed, "Actually for once I wasn't doing anything but looking around. It's been a long time since I've seen the office this clean or even heard you say sentences longer than a few words. I didn't think you'd ever be the same but it seems you are on the track to your happiness all over again...Oh! speaking of which Momo wanted me to tell you something...Oh what was it..."

I rolled my eyes and stepped in the office, closing the door behind me. Just then Rangiku jumped and said, "Oh! Momo wants you to come see her later tonight. She said she didn't care when and that she had something to show you and that it was important so don't forget."

I sighed, "I forgot I never get a break when I do my job do I?"

Rangiku laughed, "It's not like you to say things like that Captain. Something on your mind that's causing you to complain?"

I smiled, "You mean besides the fact that no matter how much I do in a day I'll still have something to do? Or the fact that I'm in love with Ichigo's little sister and he still hasn't been told as far as I know? Or maybe the fact that I just finished a long conversation with two arrancar that have severe issues?"

She laughed again and shook her head at me, "I'm starting to think that you are a whole lot less formal than I thought you were years ago. Maybe that's why Momo said I shouldn't have been surprised when you ran after Karin."

I shook my head and walked further into the office and over to my desk. I opened the side drawer to it and shuffled to the bottom. I pulled out the same small leather book I was given two years ago on November 26th. I knew the second I felt it below my fingertips that I wasn't going to read it like I planned to. I couldn't, it was too much of an invasion of privacy. I set it down on the top of my desk and exhaled, "I don't get why I feel like I'm missing something important by not knowing what's in this...but I can't read it. Regardless of the fact that she wouldn't know it's an invasion of her privacy and memories. But still...I feel like I'm missing something."

Rangiku made a pouty face and picked it up, "Do you think maybe it has a hidden secret we should know?"

I shrugged, "Maybe but I don't have the indecency to read it and find out."

She sighed and put it back down. I glared at the journal for a few seconds then sighed, "I suppose I should go meet Momo huh?"

She nodded, "That would be a good idea. She said she would be in the fifth division captain's office."

I nodded and left the office almost as soon as I got there. I arrived at yet another office only a few minutes later with a few flash steps. I found Momo sitting in the Captain's chair of her new office staring down like she had something incomprehensible on her mind. I crossed my arms, "And what exactly did you need me for?"

She jumped at the sound of my voice but her face brightened when she saw me, "Oh! I didn't realize you were already here Shiro! I have something cool to show you. It was given to me today."

I rolled my eyes, "So where is this awesome thing you must show me?"

She smiled and held a finger up at me 'one minute' she meant, "Before I get to that I have some important Captain to Captain questions! First, if you picked my lieutenant for me who would you choose?"

I raised my eyebrows, "I'm assuming this is because you get to pick yours from a special list of every soul reaper in the Seireitei correct? Well since you excel in Kido and Intelligence on your entrance exams in this squad probably someone with the highest score on those in your squad but also consider the people you can trust the most and that you get along with. Last of all consider people in other squads that might fit the three characteristics I just mentioned and the discussions you would have to go through with the person and his or her Captain to get them to transfer over. It's all up to you Momo. Don't worry about disappointing others, just make the decisions you are sure are best and don't let others question you. You'll make a good Captain as long as you push your authority when needed and make sure things get done."

She tilted her head to the side, "You seem to be in a better mood since the day before yesterday. Is there something you aren't telling me Shiro?"

I sighed, "Long story short, Karin is in the Soul Society, she doesn't remember me, but she still doesn't like when I don't do what I'm supposed to do and I don't like when she is upset with me so I'm trying to straighten up my act and be the Captain I was viewed as a few years ago."

A huge grin broke out on her face before she balled up her hands at her face and ran towards me enveloping me in a hug, "I told you she'd come back Shiro! I knew it! I am so happy for you!"

I placed my hand on her shoulder and gently pushed her away, "Um, yeah. Now about that important thing you had to show me?"

She jumped and ran into the next room over, only a few seconds later she came out with a white haori on. She quickly spun around in a circle and then put her hand on her hips, "I was fitted for it this morning. Isn't it cool! I finally caught up to you in rank, so I guess you can't start pushing me to call you by your title again if you wanted to!"

I smiled, "Feels good to be known as one of the best doesn't it?"

She nodded and started to open her mouth to say something but a hell butterfly flew in the window and distracted her. She put up her hand for it to land on but it flew past her and straight to me. I held up my hand so it could land and got the message:

Captain Hitsugaya of Squad 10, it has been requested that you do not bring Lieutenant Matsumoto to your visiting of the Soul Reaper Academy due to personal questions and a need for Lieutenant Matsumoto's presence at a Lieutenant meeting tomorrow morning. I expect you to abide by these requests and to go alone to the Soul Reaper Academy tomorrow morning.

Head-Captain Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto

The message ended and the hell butterfly flew away leaving an awkward silence between Momo and I until it had completely left the room. She quietly spoke as if afraid that she was intruding when she spoke again, "What was the message about?"

I shook my head, "I have to go to the Soul Reaper Academy tomorrow for the monthly visit event and the Head-Captain wants me not to take Matsumoto with me. I was told it was because of a Liuetenant's meeting tomorrow and personal questions the students may have for me. However I really think it's because he wants to know if I can handle things on my own again."

She nodded slowly and sighed, "Well I guess you should get some sleep then since you'll have to be up early tomorrow for that visit."

I nodded and said goodbye before exiting the room and starting a slow walk back to my living quarters. I wasn't upset about not taking Rangiku with me, but I was very curious about what personal questions the Head-Captain expected me to be asked. I wondered if they would be about my attempt to rescue Karin or if they would be silly questions that troublemakers usually asked Captains on their visits such as "Are you single?"

No matter what the questions were I knew in the back of my head that I could come up with an answer to each and every one of them. I had to to gain my respect back. I couldn't ignore the blows my image had taken in the past two years but I could repair them and the first step to that was to clear up any confusion about my actions.

By the time I got back to my house the moon had risen high in the sky and it was almost 10:30. I was still preparing myself for all the questions I could expect when I laid down to go to sleep. The alarm at my bedside was set for 6:30 so I knew I could get up and be ready for the day. But as I thought about going to the school and I started drifting into sleep I started thinking about Karin and how I would get to see her at the school the next day. I fell asleep thinking about what she might ask me. I woke up what felt like seconds later to my alarm going off

Ok this took me forever to write. I sort of lost inspiration for a looooong time. I have been trying to re watch Bleach so I can catch up to the events, however none of the things that I wasn't aware of when I started writing All my Fault will be put into this story. Sooooooo yeah. PLEASE REVIEW I NEED YOUR FEEDBACK!
