Chapter 6

Feeling the the sharp knife just above her neck, she felt the tears making their way back to her eyes. These were no tears of happiness. Only fear and despair. Caleb couldn't take any chances. If anything happened to Hanna... He didn't know what he would be capable of. If Hanna was hurt in anyway... He couldn't keep thinking like this. He needed to find a way out of this mess. But how? If he did anything, Jake would gladly appreciate to hurt him a little more. It's not like he had never done any killing before... But if Caleb kept doing nothing, there would be no miracles. Nothing else could save them.

And as his mind ran through every options possible, things were going on upstairs. Footsteps all over the place. Jake's face looked up, wondering what could possibly make such noises. His distraction gave Hanna just enough space and time to get out of his grip and to run to her boyfriend's awaiting arms.

Something felt like home to her whenever he would hold her close to him. She knew she had a special place that only she could fill. The place where her heart belonged. Nothing would ever change that.

Jake had now recovered from his previous shock, only now realising Hanna's disappearance. He looked at them both with the devil in his eyes, mumbling something incoherent. His knife now pointing at them both. Hanna only digged her face into Caleb's shirt. She couldn't take all of this anymore. It was too much for her. Caleb's protective side took control of him. Hanna was in his arms. As long as she would stay there, she couldn't get hurt by anyone or anything. He wouldn't let anyone do anything to her.

All of their heads turned around to look at the top of the stairs, which was now occupied by police officers. They went down the stairs. Jake tried to find a place to hide but it was too late and he knew it. He just wasn't expecting this to happen so soon.

They took the knife away from Jake while Hanna and Caleb stared, obviously shocked by the way it all happened. "What? How can police be there? How could they know?" These and hundreds more questions ran through their minds. Another police officer went to see them both, still in the door frame. "Are you two alright? We need to take you to the police station to plead your cause." The officer said while the two young lovers could only give him a quick little nod.

Following the police officers who were now trying to get Jake out of the house... Which would be so much easier if he wasn't debating so much. Hanna was still holding thightly to Caleb. Everything around them was going so fast. So many people in such a small house trying to find drugs or stuff that could criminate the whole gang. After seeing only tons of officers, Hanna was surprised and pleased to see three well known faces. It was the only moment she had left Caleb since the attack. He was then occupied with the officer who was now asking him questions about his past with the gang. She ran to her best friends, who immediatly took her in a bear hug. "We missed you so much!" "We thought we would never see you again!" "How can you be so much stupid? Never do that again! You scared that crap out of me! " they all said at the same time. Hanna didn't know what to say. "Gosh it feels so good to see you! I'm so sorry that I had to let you go! I needed to help Caleb and I could only do it all alone."

"Even when you get stuck in a cave with a knife along your neck?" Spencer's sarcastic comments, how she missed them. "How did you know?" Hanna asked. It was pretty obvious that Spencer could figure out pretty much anything. "I followed you with your cellphone's GPS. I knew that if you needed my help for something like this, it must have been a really serious problem. So after your call, I traced the location from your phone. I could easily hear the fear in your voice when you called. So, when you parked your car, I immediatly called the police for them to get to the adress." Spencer replied to her friend with a small smile which looked more like a frown. "Then all of us got in the car and drove to this place to see if everything would be okay." Aria responded.

"You know Spence, sometimes I'm so freaking glad that you are a genius. I think you just saved my life.." Hanna couldn't stop tearing up. "You didn't listen to me but it was a good choice."

They all hugged again. Hanna felt relieved now that her boyfriend was safe and so did her friends. When the hug finished, she felt firm arms wrapping around her waist. She turned around to end up face to face with the man she had seen bruised, defeated but also willing to give up his own life for her. So much can happen in one day.

They looked into each others eyes, now taking the time to appreciate the presence of their lover. She wrapped her arms around his neck, keeping herself close to him. Just like always, the world around them faded away. Only them both ecxited. Everything from the previous events didn't matter.

She had found him. He had hid her. She was almost killed. But they got saved by her friends.

Before it was too late.

You only need the light when it s burning low
Only miss the sun when it starts to snow
Only know your lover when you let her go
Only know you ve been high when you re feeling low
Only hate the road when you re missin home
Only know your lover when you ve let her go

Let her go - by The Passenger

Okay so I know the song doesn't really fit but I thought the feeling coming from this song (missing someone) was kind of related to the story. I just really felt like adding it sorry.

On the other side, THEY FINALLY GET SOME PEACE! I would never let Hanna die. I feel so sad to think about it from Caleb or Hanna's POV. From now, I'll try to continue to write but it will be harder cause it won't be a problem to solve anymore.

I really hope everyone of you still like this story as much as you did when you started to read it. I also hope you aren't disapointed from where I've went with it.

God I can't wait for later on with the new halloween episode!

LOVE EVERYONE OF YOU!
