Revan charged at Ice, twin vibroblades drawn. As she approached the hostile duelist, she dodged a pair of blaster bolts from her pistol. When Revan was in melee range, Ice quickly holstered her pistol and drew her blade.
As it flew towards Revan's head, the Jedi Knight deflected the strike, and countered with a quick strike into Ice's left knee. The young woman stumbled backwards for a moment, then returned Revan's strike with a swing at the sapphire-haired woman's right arm.
In the half a second before the blade connected with her arm, Revan sheathed the vibroblade, and caught Ice's blade in her hand. Revan smirked, and said, "You'll have to do better than that if you want to beat me, kid." before ripping the weapon out of her opponent's hand, and kicking Ice back.
The duelist muttered something under her breath, while Revan approached her again, a sword in each hand. She smirked, and kicked Ice onto the ground.
Just as Revan's twin weapons reached Ice's neck, she pulled out her blaster, and fired three rounds into Revan's chest. As the Knight felt sharp pain in her abdomen, she looked down, and saw blood flowing freely from her chest.
Glaring at her opponent, Revan growled, "Bad move, bitch." before throwing both of her weapons into Ice. As the other woman dodged them, Revan used the Force to raise her into the air, and then slammed her back into the ground.
Then, just as lightning began to form at the tips of her fingers, Revan heard the announcer say, "And we have a winner. The Force!"
The Jedi Knight breathed in, clearing her head, as she walked over to the exit. Inside the waiting area, she placed a hand on her wounds, and healed them with the Force. Walking silently over to Ajuur, she said, "Why wasn't Ice's pistol suppressed?"
"I do not know." the hutt replied. "But, you appear to be fine. Here is your cut of the profits."
Revan took it, then said, "Figure out what made so that her pistol put three holes in me." before walking away.
Inside the side room, Revan saw Bastila who instantly said, "Revan, are you alright?"
"I'll be fine." The Knight replied, looking down at her blood-soaked robes. "But, I think I'm going to need to replace my robes."
"Indeed." Bastila replied, glancing at them. "Aren't there supposed to be suppressors in the ring to keep this from happening."
"Yeah." Revan said, sighing.
Meetra said, "Are you going to go back into the arena?"
"Yes." Revan replied.
"I'm not sure that's such a good idea." Meetra said, "That Ice chick managed to put three in your chest."
"She wasn't a good enough shot to actually do any serious damage. The angles of her shots were such that it didn't hit any internal organs, or bones. Just pierced the skin."
"You got lucky that it didn't kill you, Rev." Meetra said.
"I got unlucky that it did any actual damage."
"Yeah, but what if your luck is even worse than it was in this fight?" Meetra asked, looking at Revan with concern.
"I won't give the next guy a chance to do that. I shouldn't have held back."
"Why were you holding back?" Bastila asked, looking at Revan with confusion.
"To make the fight actually fun. But, she had to put three holes in my torso and cut the fun short." Revan said. "Figured that if this kid thought she was good enough to beat me, I'd go easy. Make her realize how incredibly wrong she was."
"She seemed to think anyone could beat you." Bastila said.
Revan laughed, and said, "If they get lucky enough, anyone could beat me. But, it's really unlikely that anyone would get that lucky."
"True." Meetra said, "But be careful in there. There's already been one potentially fatal problem."
"I will, Meetra." Revan replied, "But, I should go. Need to find out when my next fight is."
"Good luck out there." Meetra said.
"I don't need luck." Revan replied, walking back over to Ajuur. The hutt said,
"It took you long enough to show up. I'm losing credits every minute you're in here, and not fighting Gerlon Sharpshooter."
"Sorry." Revan replied, heading to the ring.
-=0=-
Meetra sighed, and looked at the screen displaying the dueling ring. It showed Revan walk into the ring, twin swords in hand. And then it went blank. "What just happened? Bastila, are you sensing anything on Revan's end?"
"Yes. Something's gone wrong down there." Bastila said. "She's hurt. She says it's shrapnel."
"What do you mean she says it's shrapnel?"
"I asked her what was going on. She said her opponent's pistol exploded and some of the shrapnel hit her."
"How'd you ask her?" Meetra asked.
"Quit playing dumb, Meetra." Bastila sighed. "There's nothing to worry about. The cameras were just taken out by the blast."
"How's Rev?"
"Minor injuries. She's coming our way so we can take care of pulling the shrapnel out."
"Hopefully this means Rev won't go back in. She's not having very good luck with that arena. The one on Coruscant was a lot safer than this."
"It also wasn't run by an agent of a crime lord." Revan said, as she walked into the room. "Bas, can you get this shrapnel out of my arm?"
"Of course." The Padawan replied, looking at the wound. A moment later, she reached out with the Force, and carefully pulled the fragments of metal out of Revan's arm. A moment later the wounds were closed, and Revan said, "There won't be any more duels for a while. The guy I was supposed to go up against is in... bad shape. Pistol blew up in his hand."
"Ouch." Meetra said. "So, does that count as a win for you?"
"Technically. But, I can't fight the next guy because the explosion messed up the ring's inhibitors. There aren't going to be any matches for months."
"That's unfortunate." Selena said. "This arena, despite its problems, is one of the best places on Taris. Helps stabilize things."
"How?" Bastila asked.
"For some people it satisfies their psychotic tendencies. For others, it is a source of income that keeps them from having to resort to joining one of the Lower City gangs. And, it's one of the few places on Taris where you don't have to deal with the fucking nobles. They stay clear of the 'savage' sports of the common people."
"The more I hear about these nobles," Revan said, "The more it sounds like they just need to be shot a few times. Put them in their place."
"I'm all for it." Selena said, "But, with how many there are. It would take way too long. And we still have a mandalorian battle fleet pushing on the edge of our defenses for this place that we need to take care of. Handling the social problems will have to wait."
"I suppose so." Revan said. "Any word from Veras?"
"He says that we'll be ready to go to Davik's estate in a couple of hours." Selena said. "So long as you don't get yourself injured further before then."
"I'll try not to."
"You had better not get hurt further, Rev." Meetra said, "I think we'd all be pretty damn depressed if you were dead."
"I dunno." Revan said with a smirk, "I think Baldy might just be happy to not have to deal with me giving him a hard time."
"I thought it was Bastila you were interested in, Rev." Meetra said with a small smirk.
Revan shook her head, and said, "Really, Meetra? You've really reaching that far in an attempt to be funny?"
"Hey, it was too easy. Sometimes you gotta go for the low hanging fruit."
Revan sighed, and said, "Figures. And, before you say anything, I am not interested in Alek."
"I know, Rev. I know." Meetra said, patting the younger woman's shoulder.
"Um," Bastila said, nervousness clear in her voice, "aren't there more important things to focus on than this?"
"Yes." Revan said, "But where's the fun in that?"
"I... don't really know." Bastila admitted.
"Okay." Revan said, "You think there's time to make a trip back to the ship so I can get some robes which aren't completely fucked up?"
"Revan..." Bastila sighed.
"Sorry." Revan said, with a slight grin. "Keep forgetting that it bugs you."
"Yeah right." Selena said, "It's just like a guy pulling a girl's hair on the playground."
"Selena, don't you have a better way to spend your time than irritate me?"
"I could fuck Meetra, but this isn't the place for that." Selena said with a grin.
Revan said, "Do me a favor, Selena, and never say that in my presence again."
The Sergeant laughed, and said, "Who'd have thought that Revan's like a little kid when it comes to sex."
"Selena," Meetra said, "give Rev a break."
"Which bone?" Selena asked.
"Try to break a single one of my bones and you will regret it." Revan growled. "Oh, Bas, could I have my sabres back?"
"Of course." Bastila said, handing Revan the weapons.
As Revan put them on her belt, Selena said, "You could probably get to the ship, change, and get back in about an hour."
"Good." Revan said, "This way. Meetra, go tell Baldy that we're leaving."
"Aye-aye." Meetra sighed.
"We aren't in the navy, Meetra." Revan said.
"Yes, Ma'am?"
"You could just go do it." Revan sighed.
"Alright. You three better not be doing anything inappropriate when I get back."
"If Selena tries anything I'll give her a bit of a scare." Revan said.
"She's not the one who has me worried." Meetra teased, as she walked away.
Revan shook her head, and said, "I swear Meetra needs to learn some self control."
"Hey," Selena said, "don't say that. If she had self control she'd be no fun."
"Selena..." Revan said, her voice trailing off, as she saw Gerlon carried away on a stretcher, surrounded by doctors.
"Is that the person you were fighting?" Bastila asked.
"Yeah." Revan said.
As Alek and Meetra walked into the room, the bald man said, "Revan, you look like you've been through hell. What'd I miss?"
"Just a malfunctioning energy suppression field making a blaster put three holes in my torso, and then a blaster overheating and exploding." Revan said.
"Damn, if I knew the ring was going to be that exciting I would have gone in too."
"You wouldn't have liked it, Baldy. Too many limitations on how you fight."
"What limitations?" he asked.
"Not allowed to just cut them into tiny pieces."
"I'm not a psycho." he said, laughing slightly.
"Riiiight. And you didn't stab a kath hound with all the finesse of dropping a hammer on your own foot."
"It was effective!" he said.
"We know, Alek." Revan said, "You said that when you first did it."
"The kath hound didn't get back up, did it?
"I suppose so. Still doesn't change the fact that there was no finesse in how you took it out."
"Sorry," He grumbled, "next time I'll be sure to just go excessively over the top. Leave the hound cooked and filleted."
"That would be... impressive. If you can actually do that on the spot, you will have earned my respect." Revan said.
"Helping you with the terentatek wasn't enough?" he asked.
"I told you and Bas to stay hidden." Revan replied, "And, you disobeyed those orders."
"The enemy found us. It wasn't like we went hunting them." he replied.
"Despite the fact that you wanted to." Bastila said, a small smile gracing her lips.
"Shan," He growled, "why couldn't you just keep quiet?"
An instant later, Revan had slapped him, and said, "Be more polite to Bastila. Seriously, do I have to put a sign on her forehead that says, 'Warning, if you're an asshole to me, my friend will cut you into tiny pieces.'?"
"Revan..." Bastila sighed.
"What? It bugs me when people are assholes to you."
"While that's very touching," Bastila said, "could you please not swear so much?"
Meetra, Selena, and Alek just sighed and shook their heads. The Sergeant saying, "That kid will never learn. Revan, maybe you should have a sign put on your forehead that says, 'I am utterly in love with Bastila. You hurt her, I kill you.' because you are painfully obvious."
Revan just glared at Selena. The look in her eyes saying, "Shut up. You don't want to go there. Trust me, if you do you will regret it."
Selena sighed, and said, "You know, Revan. You are no fun whatsoever. Just laugh it off. It'll make fewer people think you're just a generic obsessed cop."
Revan shook her head as the five entered a shuttle. "I'm sorry if I'm not feeling in a very humorous mood when the people who killed my parents are attacking the Republic and the only thing you people seem to care about is my supposed love of Bastila. Because, guess what, Selena, I am that fucking cliché."
"Revan..." Bastila sighed.
"Sorry." The Knight said, shaking her head.
"There's no point in stressing out about it all the time." Selena sighed. "So, why not just focus on what you can fix. Like your robes." as they stepped into the hangar.
Revan sighed, and said, "You're probably right. But... could we please not joke along that avenue. It isn't exactly appropriate. If you're going to joke about it, at least wait until Bastila's eighteen. At least then it isn't as bad."
"Well, that's only ten months." Meetra said with a smirk.
"Technically nine months twenty-two days." Revan automatically corrected.
"Keeping count of how long until you can make a move, Revan?" Alek asked.
"Shut it." she replied.
"Alright, alright." he sighed.
-=0=-
A few minutes later, the group walked back into their shuttle, Revan in fresh, not battered robes, and the rest holding drinks. "How did you guys find the time to get drinks? It only took me three minutes to change." Revan said.
"I know a guy." Selena said. "We'd have picked you up one if you wanted it."
"You know someone on the ship that sells drinks?"
"Yeah. Just outside the mess hall. I saved his ass once, so he gives me free drinks. And, makes 'em extra fast."
"Please tell me you aren't getting drunk on the job." Revan said.
"Of course not. That wouldn't be very professional." Selena replied.
"And we all know you're incredibly worried about being professional." Revan replied.
"Hey," Selena said, her voice turning serious, "I may joke around about getting drunk on the job, but I'm not going to. From what I've heard this Samantha were supposed to rescue sounds like a bitch. Would anyone really mind if she didn't get rescued?"
"I'm sure it's the Council who have ordered her rescue." Revan replied, "So I'm guessing they would. And I already have the incident on the surface of Cathar and Anseron's death to explain to them. Adding Samantha's continued enslavement to the list would just make things too complicated to handle. I'd get in trouble for at least one of them. With two things I can talk my way out of it. Albeit... my lie about Anseron's death is not exactly one that I would like to do."
"What's our story going to be, Rev?" Meetra asked.
"Anseron went after Johnson himself, despite our warnings that it was dangerous. We tried to stop him but he became violent. We attempted to prevent his leaving and traveling to the mandalorian vessel where Johnson was located by locking down the hangars, but the fleet was attacked, and they had to be opened to let the smaller vessels out to help in the battle. So, instead Commander Veras, Meetra, and Alek sneaked onto Anseron's shuttle with the intention of helping him get out alive. However, the shuttle was shot by the vessel's defense cannons and there was a crash landing. By the time you three managed to pull yourselves out of the shuttle, it was too late to help David. You only just got out in time to see Johnson's sabre sever his head."
"That's mostly true." Meetra said, "Except it was Veras's idea to board that ship."
"Yes, but the Council cannot know that. It would lead them to delay even further." Revan sighed.
"I don't get it. If you don't want to make Anseron look bad from beyond the grave, why do this?" Meetra asked.
"Because we have to." Revan sighed, "We've already been over this, Meetra."
"I still don't like it."
"None of us do. But, we have no choice but to do this."
"We always have a choice." Meetra said, "We could tell them the truth. That way when they find out about it, and the Council is going to find out eventually, we don't end up getting exiled over it."
"If they ever find out the truth, we will get exiled no matter what. Regardless of the extenuating circumstances."
"You don't know that, Rev." Meetra sighed.
"Enough, Meetra." Revan said, rubbing her forehead. "The simple truth is the Council can't know. If they do, Anseron's sacrifice will have been for nothing. If any of you tell them the truth, there will be no Jedi support for the Republic until it is too late. There is no point in arguing about this, because if we don't work together to bury the truth of what happened, then we'll all suffer fates far worse than what Anseron did."
"Dying and then having your name ruined after you're gone by people you thought were your allies?"
"He was on our side, Meetra. The only reason he isn't is because he's dead. If the truth of his death comes out it would be a massive blow to our side. The side that was his. I know that having to do this sucks. But the truth is that it is a matter of helping the living, or honoring the dead."
"But, Rev, would you want to follow someone who would sacrifice you in the blink of an eye? Who has given up their humanity in order to win?"
"I never said anything about sacrificing our humanity. What I'm talking about is making a difficult decision because it is necessary. If the circumstances were different, I would have pulled the Council up on a communications channel the instant the battle ended and told them about Anseron's death. The true story. But, that isn't an option now."
Meetra sighed, and said, "Alright, Rev. We'll stick to your story. But, it will take a while to memorize."
"Just tell them the truth with the changes I mentioned."
"Yeah, you'll have to give us a rundown of those so that we can work on memorizing it." Meetra said.
"That can wait." Revan replied, as she saw Veras walking up to them. He looked at the five, and said, "Alright team, we're ready to move. The target has been caught, and agreed to our terms. Tremaine, Alek, Surik, you three will be the potential recruits. Shan, Jade, you two will be prisoners. You tried to kill the man we captured, but he managed to stun you and take you prisoner. You will be transferred to the slave quarters in these shackles."
"No." Revan said, her voice dark. "Swap Bastila and I's positions."
"Wouldn't work." Veras said, "Your little stunts in the ring made that certain. Davik watches every last match. Especially when there's new blood in the arena. He knows you can use the Force, and he knows that you're better than this guy we just captured. So, if you want to keep Shan safe, you'll do your jobs correctly, and make a beeline for those slave quarters."
Revan was silent for a moment, then said, "I know I'm going to regret asking this, but would saying that I would appreciate it if no one got to... use Bastila before I did protect her from Davik's guests?"
"Maybe, if you use the right wording." Veras said. "I'm sure our prisoner would be more than happy to share the information with you."
Meanwhile, Alek, Meetra, and Selena were standing off to the side, laughing so hard that Revan was sure they'd suffocate in a couple of minutes. However, Bastila said, "Revan. I'll be fine. If anyone tries to do anything to me, I'll give them a bit of a shock."
"Are you saying you'll use Force lightning on them?" Revan asked, with a small smile.
"I was more thinking to slam them into a wall."
"That would probably work too." Revan said, "But I think using Force lightning would be much more dramatic and effective in scaring them off."
Meanwhile, Meetra had managed to, somewhat, compose herself, and said, "I think Rev's original plan would work the best."
"Meetra..." Revan sighed.
"Meetra's right." Jade said. "My mom and dad have done a lot of business with Davik in the past. He's held some new slaves for specific people before letting everyone have a go at them if they want. But... you'll have to make him actually believe you."
"Would informing him that anyone who tries to lay a finger on her will die a horrific death by my hand, and that what little remains of their corpses will never be found be sufficient?"
"That... would be counter-productive. That would reveal your personal attachment to her. You'll need to make it seem more shallow. A bit of groping should be enough."
Revan and Bastila both started blushing bright red, and Revan said, "Maybe we should just send Bastila back up to the ship."
"Oh grow up." Selena said. "We'll need numbers for this op. Shan's skilled enough to be helpful."
"She can use Battle Meditation from the ship. That way she'll be helping us in the operation, but from a safe distance."
"Worried that if you touch her like that, you won't stop?" Selena asked, a small smirk on her face.
"This plan's getting worse every second." Revan sighed. "How about I go in solo, kill everyone in the building, and pull Samantha out of the wreckage of the building?"
"Too flashy." Veras said. "We need this to be a low-key op. Jennifer contacted your Council about the matter, and they said they want her capture to be kept under the radar. Having your plan done would be the opposite of that."
Revan sighed, and said, "Great. Could we replace Bastila with Alek?"
"HEY!" he said, "Who said I'd be willing to do that."
"What, you're less likely to be chosen by one of Davik's guests."
"What, you saying everyone thinks I'm ugly?"
"I wasn't thinking anything based on physical appearance beyond the fact that Bas is female, and you're male. People in Davik's line of work are very frequently men, and would go for a woman before another man. And, if they did decide to go with you, you're more likely to enjoy it."
He glared at Revan and said, "I'm not as bad about it as you seem to think."
"Wasn't trying to be rude." Revan replied, "I was just saying you'd be more likely to enjoy it. Considering the amount of time you spend trying to get laid."
Alek nodded, and said, "You have a point."
"Alek is not an option." Jade said, "Davik very rarely takes males as slaves for his estate. Only does if he knows he's going to be having a guest who would go for a guy. And, since absolutely none of us would go for a guy, there's no point in trying."
Revan sighed, then said, "I know there's no point in suggesting Meetra instead. So, we'll do that, I suppose. And Bastila, let me say before we even go. I'm sorry for touching you anywhere that makes you feel uncomfortable. Just trying to keep other people from doing worse."
Bastila blushed, and said, "I know Rev."
"Enough chatting." Veras said, "Since we've resolved the issue of who is filling what roles, we can go meet with Davik."
"Got it." Revan said, looking apologetically at Bastila.
The younger Jedi said, "Quit looking at me like that, Rev. It's the look I'd expect on someone if they were coming to tell me that they'd accidentally killed my favorite pet."
"Alright, alright." Revan said. "It's just... I-I don't like having to put you through that."
"Relax, Rev." Bastila said, placing a hand on the older woman's shoulder, "I know you don't want to. I can sense it through the bond. It's like you're worried that somehow doing it will make you spontaneously combust it's so evil."
"Sorry." Revan said. "Let's just focus on getting this job done so we can forget it ever happened."
"Sounds good." Bastila said, as the group entered a speeder, and Veras started driving them towards an undisclosed location.
-=0=-
Johnson opened his eyes, and saw red text run along the lower half of his vision. It said, "You are aware of what has been done?"
"No." he said.
Venerus then appeared in front of him, and said, "During your punishment, I completely destroyed a large portion of your body. It has since been replaced with synthetic replacements. Do not worry, artificial skin has been woven around it so that you will appear as a normal human."
"Why, Master?" he asked, his voice barely there.
"You stepped out of your place. I needed to make it clear to you that disobeying orders is unacceptable. And, neither is failure. You have a new task. Kill Bastila. She has unintentionally placed herself in the way of my plans."
"What plans, Master? And how?"
"That is not for you to know. You have your orders. Go and fulfill them."
"Yes, Master. But first, may I have a drink to quench my thirst?"
"Very well. But make it quick." Venerus said, vanishing.
-=0=-
As the group stepped into the throne room of Davik's palace, Revan swallowed nervously. The Crime Lord was sitting on his throne, when he saw them enter behind their unwilling guide. He said, "Ah, Sinthar. Good to see you back. And, with companions? Who are they?"
"The blue haired woman's a duelist at the arena. The one who sent Ice flying. She's interested in working with the Exchange."
"A most impressive display, but why would a Jedi be interested in working with us?" Davik asked.
"Who said I was a Jedi?" Revan asked.
"The Sith are all dead, so the Jedi are the only ones with knowledge of how to wield the Force."
"You would be incorrect there, Mr. Kang. There are still small worlds, far outside of where Jedi normally roam, where they teach their people how to control the power of the Force. I am from one such world."
"I see. Who are the others?"
"The blonde woman, bald man, and Scars are all ex-Republic commandos. They left when the Republic kept sending them on suicide missions so classified that even mentioning them to get hired is treason, and not paying anything worth it."
"And the other two?" Davik asked, after glancing at them.
"Two thugs who thought they could rob me. I figured that with a bit of breaking they could be made into excellent slaves."
Davik examined them for a moment, then said, "Indeed. They are quite attractive. I will have them sent to the slave quarters with the others."
"Mr. Kang. I have a request regarding the brunette." Revan said.
"And what would that be, Ms. Force?"
"Please, call me Revan." the Jedi Knight replied. "I would like to have the first go at her."
"And why should I let you?"
"Revan was the one who subdued her. The black haired bitch was mostly taken care of when this brunette jumped me. Revan took her out in a couple of blows." Sinthar said, his scars twitching as he told the lie.
"I see." Davik said. "Forgive my skepticism, but you seem like you would be more interested in a male lover."
"You'd be wrong." Revan said, glaring at the man.
"There is no need for such hostility, Revan." he said. "I merely doubt that you have any desire for her."
Revan laughed as she caressed Bastila and said, "Why wouldn't I? She's quite attractive."
As Revan's hand touched her, Bastila glared at the Knight, while saying over the bond, "Revan, I don't think he's buying it."
"Relax. I've got this under control." Revan replied over the bond.
Meanwhile, Meetra was practically busting a gut. Revan glared at her and said, "Do you find something funny? On my homeworld loyalty meant something. And, you are not loyal. You betrayed your Republic over money. Maybe I should show you the meaning of respect."
"Sorry." Meetra said. "But you say you want to fuck this chick, but that was clearly lacking in any kind of sexual desire."
Revan glared at her, and sent a single bolt of lightning into the other Jedi's toe. "Don't question me again. If you do, they'll never find what little remains of your body."
"No need to go all Exar Kun on us." Meetra said, with a slight smirk.
Revan glared at her, and then turned to Davik once more, and said, "It seems this former marine needs to be taught a lesson."
"No. She has a point." Davik said. "You are not convincing me. Why do you not want anyone else to touch her?"
Revan said, "On my world, you kept such desires secret as much as possible.", as she squeezed one of Bastila's breasts, the Padawan's glare deepening at the contact.
"Why? What is your home world?"
"You would never have heard the name." Revan said. "It is on the border between the Unknown Regions and the Republic. I am one of the few to ever leave. Before I left, I had never even heard of Jedi, or the Republic, or the Exchange."
Davik nodded, and said, "I see. That would indeed by a world that contact would be difficult. How come you carry two Jedi lightsabres?"
"I encountered a Jedi shortly after entering Republic space. He thought I was a Dark Jedi, and a battle broke out. I slew him, and took his blade. After studying how it worked, I sought out another crystal, and created my second weapon."
"I see." Davik said. "As for your request, you have given me little reason to believe that you actually do desire her."
Revan shook her head, and said through the bond, "Dammit. Why is it that the one time we want someone to think that I am interested in you, that there's skepticism."
"Quit worrying about it, Revan. Just find a way to make him believe you! I don't want to have to kill people to protect myself."
Revan then said out loud, "Why should I believe that you have your doubts? How can I know that you simply wish to watch two women fuck?"
"Because if I wished to watch multiple women 'fuck' as you so ineloquently put it, Revan, I could easily arrange it. I merely doubt you."
Revan glared at him, then grabbed Bastila, and pulled her into a kiss, saying over the bond, "I'm so sorry, Bas. Please forgive me. I didn't want to do this to you."
"I know, Rev." Bastila replied, struggling to escape from Revan's forceful kiss as the Knight's hands snaked into her robes.
Davik nodded, and said, "I see. I will make it clear to all of my guests that Ms..."
"Go fuck yourself and die." Bastila said, glaring at Davik and Revan.
"Shan." Revan said.
"How do you know?" Davik asked.
"Ripped it from her mind. Needed something to call her."
"I see." Davik said. "I will see to it that she is kept for you, Revan. Sinthar, take these prisoners to the slave quarters and make it clear Shan is off limits."
"Yessir." he replied.
-=0=-
Revan shook her head once Davik had finished his incredibly drawn-out tour of the premises and sent them all to a room. Meetra said, "Hey, relax, Rev. You didn't do anything wrong."
"You saw what I did to Bastila!" Revan hissed, her voice barely above a whisper.
"What you had to do to keep Davik's people from doing way worse to her." Meetra said, patting Revan on the back.
Revan sighed, and said, "And what's worse is that I enjoyed kissing her. Feeling her so close. This is not good. She probably sensed it through the bond."
"Probably not. You may not have noticed, but you closed off that bond almost completely the instant before you kissed her." Meetra said. "Don't worry about it."
"Yeah, don't worry about it, Revan." Selena said, "Nothing wrong with enjoying kissing the person you love."
"SHE'S A MINOR!" Revan shouted. "That's what makes it wrong!"
Meetra said, "Under the circumstances you did the best you could. The only other option you had was to say that you were in love with her and that if anyone dared lay a hand on her you'd kill 'em. Not much of a choice."
Then, Veras said, "You did what you had to, Soldier. Don't think that any of us don't know that you wouldn't have done it if you could avoid it."
Revan sighed, and said, "This is great. We should go and find those slave quarters."
"Davik said they're just down the hall. And, that if we try any funny business, his guards will kill us."
"Got it." Revan said, "Let's go and break out our friends. And Samantha."

Bastila sighed, as she was shoved into the slave quarters, thinking, 'Why did I enjoy it so much when Revan kissed me. When she touched me like that? I care about her as a friend. But, that was definitely not something that happens between two people who are just friends. I know she wouldn't have done it if it hadn't been to keep me safe. But... it felt so good. No. The Jedi Code says it's wrong. I shouldn't even be thinking about this.
'But then again. Revan's always said that I should think for myself. Maybe there's more wisdom in here interpretation of the Code than I thought. To still have feelings but not be controlled by them. To find a balance in the Force. I mean, being kissed by her felt so good. And her hand sneaking into my robes. What if I'm just being a lecher like Meetra and Alek? Am I really just concerned with how good it felt? What do I really feel for Revan? She's always been there for me as a friend. She's always had my back. And, even when she was so furious with me that I'm pretty she'd have attacked other people physically, she was just rude.
'I wouldn't be here if it weren't for her. Those hounds would have killed me. The terentatek would have killed me. That mandalorian would have killed me on Cathar. She's always been there, protecting me. For the Force's sake she showed me how Quatra had abused me. Had worsened me by making me think that I was incompetent.
'And, whenever I think about Rev, I just feel warm. Whenever I'm around her I feel safe. What does it mean? Do I love her? Earlier, when she was about to vent herself out the airlock, I remember feeling so upset. So hurt. At first I thought it was because her severing the bond could hurt me, but what if it was because I was upset that she was going to leave me. Force, I'm so confused. I need to talk to someone about this. But, I can't go to Revan. Not with this. Force, she'd be so embarrassed. She'd probably never talk to me again.'
The Padawan was broken out of her reverie, when she heard Selena say, "Hey, Bastila, what's going on in that head of yours?"
"What?" The Padawan asked, blushing slightly.
"I was asking what you were thinking." Selena said.
Bastila laughed, and said, "I wasn't thinking about anything." as she turned to face the Sergeant. The Padawan immediately regretted turning her head, because the Sergeant was now dressed in a skin tight outfit which barely covered any of her body. Toned muscles were clear on the Sergeant's abdomen, legs, and arms. The raven-haired Sergeant laughed, and asked, "Cat got your tongue?"
"No." Bastila said, blushing, "Why are you wearing so little? I was just surprised!" as an image of Revan wearing the same outfit flashed through her mind.
"Right. You were thinking of Revan wearing this, weren't you?" Selena said, with a smirk.
"No!" Bastila objected, blushing an even deeper red.
"Relax, Shan. Nothing wrong with it."
Bastila shook her head, and said, "You never answered my question."
"Standard outfit for slaves here." Selena replied. "You're only still in those robes because it means you've been reserved."
Bastila sighed with relief, and said, "At least that means I'm safe, right?"
"Yeah." Selena replied, running a hand through her own hair. "No one goes for a reserved individual if they weren't reserved for 'em. Davik has made examples of too many."
"Good." Bastila said. "We need to find Samantha before it's too late."
"Right." Selena said. "I think I saw her this way." before walking deeper into the room. It was filled with a large number of twi'lek women, all in the same outfit as Selena, and the look in their eyes one of pure despair. The Sergeant said, "Don't look at them. It's just depressing. There's nothing we can do for these girls."
Bastila nodded, and kept her eyes glued to the ground. One twi'lek asked Selena, "What got you in here? There aren't a lot of human slaves?"
"Tried to rob one of Davik's guys. He beat me up, so Bas tried to help. A duelist decided to help the fucker, and took her down. Now, the bitch has her 'reserved'." Selena growled.
"That's a shame. I wish you'd killed whoever it was." the twi'lek said, anger clear in her voice.
"Yeah, well we need to find a specific slave. Another human. Girl named Samantha."
"In the back. Davik doesn't want anyone else touching his personal pet. She ends up in his quarters almost every night. The few she doesn't, I do." the twi'lek said.
"I'm sorry." Selena said, then whispered, "Don't worry. My companion's actually a Jedi. And the one who she's 'reserved' for is actually another Jedi. Just set up so that she would be reserved so we could rescue Samantha with Bastila unmolested."
The twi'lek nodded, as she watched them go to the back. Sitting there, was Samantha in thin silk lingerie. The Jedi looked up and said, "So, you two are the new ones. Heard someone say a couple of hotties had been captured. Didn't expect her to actually be right. Let me guess, you're coming to me 'cause I'm the only other human."
"Not exactly." Selena said. "I'm Republic Sergeant Selena Jade. She's a Jedi Padawan."
"Another Jedi got captured?" Samantha asked. "If you're lucky, kid, Davik won't rape you almost every night. You get used to it after a while if you aren't."
"Don't worry about that." Bastila said. "We're here to get you out. This was just a cover to discover your location."
"Really? How are you going to contact whoever it is that you need to?"
"I'm doing so currently." Bastila said, as she spoke to Revan over the bond, "We've found Samantha."
"Got it." the Knight replied, "Heading your way now. Be careful, Bas."
"I will, Rev."
"Force bond?" Samantha asked.
"Yes." Bastila replied. "They're on their way now."
"Good. I've had enough of this place to last a lifetime." Samantha said.
"Won't be in here for much longer." Selena promised. "But, one thing I'd like to talk to you about is you being a total bitch."
"Which one have you met, Meetra or Revan?"
"Both." Selena said.
"Great. They're here?" Samantha asked.
"Indeed."
"So, you're bonded to Meet? Always thought she'd end up going after Revan, and get shot down. Then, wait a while and try again."
"Actually, my bond is with Revan." Bastila said.
"That's surprising." Samantha said. "Revan doesn't seem like the kind of person who would get a bond. Too focused on the mandalorians."
"Neither of us know how it formed. But, it has proven to be simultaneously convenient and inconvenient."
Samantha laughed, and said, "That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. A bond forming with neither party knowing how."
"I'm serious." Bastila replied, her voice flat.
Then, a voice cut through the room, saying, "ALRIGHT, BITCHES! LINE UP! THIS IS A SURPRISE INSPECTION!"
"Who's that?" Bastila asked.
"Davik's top guy. Shitbag called Steran Thatos. He likes to do 'surprise inspections' where he interrogates every last girl in the room. Has 'em all line up for it. Come on, Jade. I know where to put you that it'll be a while before he reaches you. New people tend to get treated terribly if they haven't been reserved for a particular individual. He tortures people just for fun." Samantha said, walking over towards where the others were lining up.
Then, just as the line was about to finish, Johnson appeared out of nowhere, and severed the man's head. He then turned towards Bastila, and threw his lightsabre at her.

A/N: God, I've made Davik's people seem like even worse scum than they were in the game, haven't I? Good, that's my point. That way you'll all feel good when they die horrible deaths.
