Riku walked into the room calmly, keeping his fists together in a ball as he had a look around. He had never noticed this room in the castle before, but there really wasn't anything he missed. The room was simple, having white walls with the nobody symbol on it and grey floors, and the room itself seemed to be the size of their school gym. Three sides of the room had white walls while the last one was a wall completely made out of windows, showing the view of the dark sky outside. He silver haired teen really didn't know what the Organization would use this room for, but honestly he didn't care.

Before Riku could move on and leave the room, he was stopped by a familiar voice, "Riku!"

Riku turned around, seeing Kairi and Sora's lingering will running towards him. Sora was silent as always, but Kairi was taking deep breaths from the running. "You guys run into any Organization members?" Riku asked them.

Kairi nodded. "Arlene tried to get the jump on me, but Sora managed to defeat her," Kairi tensed at the thought of Arlene.

"Let's just hope that the others managed to take some of them down too," Riku continued. "Did you see any of them heading this way?"

Kairi shook her head, "No but I thought at least one of them would be here by now."

Riku looked away for a moment, "Then we are just going to have to make the best—"

But before Riku could continue, a blast of darkness came from behind him and hit Sora's lingering will dead on, sending him flying to the other side of the room. Riku could have sworn he heard the smallest grunt come from the will when his back hit the wall high up, only leading to the will falling down and hitting the ground hard face first.

"Sora!" Kairi yelled as she ran over to the will, Riku not far behind. The will did not make any movements when Kairi and Riku bent down to him, which nearly scared the two to death. Kairi began to panic at this point and began to shake the will by his shoulder saying, "Please answer me!"

To these words, the will still did not make a sound, but he did manage to claw his fingers at the ground, which Kairi assumed was an I'm alright. Upon seeing this, Riku helped Sora up on his hands and knees, but they all halted when they heard a voice.

"Damn, I was hoping that would have ended it," he said. The three keyblade wielders then turned their head in the direction of the voice and saw who it was: Ansem's lingering will.

Riku was the first to give Ansem a response, growling under his breath as he stood up and summoned his keyblade. "What do you want?" He spat.

"Xehanort has given me these orders to destroy your friend," Ansem looked down at Sora, who was still trying to stand with Kairi's help. "He is too much of a threat to keep around any longer."

Riku growled again, "You should know by now that we aren't going to let you touch him."

Riku then turned around briefly, seeing Kairi help Sora up by putting his arm around his shoulder. Now that his friend was standing, Riku directed his attention back over to Ansem who said, "My apologies Riku, but orders are orders, so I am afraid if you stand in my way, I will have to destroy all of you."

"I hate to break it to you Ansem, but it's not going to be that easy to 'destroy' us when everyone gets here." Kairi spat.

Ansem laughed at this. "I am afraid none of your friends will be making it this far," he explained, "They are to occupied by the heartless that Xehanort sent right now."

Riku cursed under his breath when Ansem said that, he knew there had to be a reason as to why the others weren't here yet, and he just got his answer. "Then we'll be glad to take you on our own," Riku yelled as he prepared his keyblade, Kairi following shortly after. However, Riku paused when he saw Sora's lingering will summon his keyblade, looking prepared for battle. Sending a worried glance to him, Riku asked, "Sure you're alright to fight?"

Sora looked over to Riku and tapped his free hand on his chest as if he was saying yeah, just winded. Riku nodded at this before he turned back over to Ansem, who summoned his keyblade in preparation for the battle that was about to take place. "It looks like even though the others aren't here, you are still out numbered, Ansem," Riku mocked.

The Seeker of Darkness laughed. "More numbers will not matter in this battle," the will began, "In the end; I will prove to you just how powerful the darkness has grown since the last time we fought!"

(L'Eminenza Oscura II – Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance) And at that moment, Ansem's guardian appeared on his back, but it didn't look how it used to before, and the three keyblade bearers figured it was because it was just Ansem's lingering will now. The guardian was now a bright white color with a light grey around the defined parts of the creature and the once heart shaped hole in its chest now was shaped like a lingering will symbol. One of the biggest changes was the back of the creature, which now had two large wings sprouting from them with several holes that looked like battle marks in them. The sight of the guardian ran chills down the heroes' backs, but they knew they couldn't back down.

So with their new found courage, the three keyblade bearers charged at Ansem's will, Riku going straight at him, Kairi trying to attack from the left, and Sora's will from the right. By the time Riku slashed his keyblade at the lingering will, Ansem's guardian flapped its wings, which sent the two flying in the air away from Riku's attack. The guardian and Ansem did not stay airborne for long though, and the two quickly floated back down to the ground away from the keybladers. Right after this, Ansem pointed his keyblade directly at them, and fired three balls of darkness, each one heading for a different hero. Sora's lingering will, who already proved lingering wills were stronger in this form, managed to dodge the ball coming towards him, but Riku and Kairi didn't manage to and the ball of darkness hit them both dead on. Riku was fine, but Kairi, being a princess of heart, took more damage than someone normally would, but she was alright as well.

Once he dodged the ball of darkness, Sora's lingering will wasted no time and ran over to Ansem's lingering will right away. Sora's will came from the right side, which he thought Ansem would not notice him, but the other lingering will noticed Sora coming at him at the last second. In the blink of an eye, Ansem quickly turned around and brought up his keyblade, blocking Sora's attack as well as locking keyblades with the lingering will. The two only glanced at each other before Ansem looked back at his guardian quickly, nodded, and then looked back at Sora. What Sora's lingering will did not notice was the guardian vanished from behind Ansem's back and reappeared behind Sora, getting ready to attack the lingering will of our beloved hero.

"Sora, look out!" Kairi tried to warn, but Sora's will noticed too late and the guardian grabbed onto the back of Sora by his shoulders. The guardian then used its wings to quickly fly towards a wall, slamming Sora's back into it so hard that the wall began to crack at the impact. Not being able to watch her boyfriend's will go through that any longer, Kairi ran over to Sora and the guardian quickly while Riku ran over to Ansem to try and take him on while his guardian was occupied. The princess of heart got over to the guardian as quickly as she could, coming up from behind him so she could take it down easily. While she did this, the guardian began to hold his grip on Sora harder, pinning the lingering will's shoulders up hard against the wall, preventing his arms from moving at all and causing him to drop his keyblade. Right when it looked like the guardian was about to do further damage to Sora, Kairi successfully came up from behind the guardian and stabbed her keyblade right in its back. This caused the guardian to let out a loud roar and loosen its grip on Sora, which gave the lingering will a chance to bring his hand up and punch the guardian in the face, sending him flying.

"Nice work!" Kairi yelled to him as she made sure the will was alright, which he confirmed by giving the princess a thumbs up. Kairi then looked to the guardian, which was struggling to recover but somehow managed to get floating again, Kairi's keyblade still sticking inside of it. "How is that thing still alive?" She asked herself, knowing that Sora would not answer.

Meanwhile, Riku ran over to Ansem, who was much more prepared then his guardian was and blocked Riku's attempted attack as soon as the keyblade master tried to preform it. The two's keyblades locked for a brief period of time before Ansem managed to push Riku back, enough for the silver haired keyblade master to stumble. Riku was not going to give up at that point however and quickly ran back towards Ansem, but this time, the lingering will made a huge purple reflect shield appear in front of him, preventing Riku from attacking him. Riku was smart and stopped in his tracks when he saw the reflect shield, but as soon as it vanished, Riku ran towards the will immediately. Ansem's will did not expect Riku to come at him that fast, so Riku managed to get a good combo attack on him before firing a blast of light at the will, sending him flying backwards.

Once Ansem was knocked away by him, Riku noticed Sora's will and Kairi rejoining his side, both of their keyblades out. When Ansem's will gradually stood back up from Riku's attack, his guardian rejoined him, with a thick almost blood like darkness coming out of the wound Kairi gave him. "He isn't going to get down unless we get rid of his guardian," Riku said out loud, "It's already weak, if we can take it down, Ansem won't be a problem."

"Got it!" Kairi agreed before she looked over to Sora's will, who nodded in agreement as well. The three then what they did the first time around, with each of them going on a different angle of the enemy, each of them going the same way they went before. Ansem growled at the three as he commanded his guardian to perform an attack that sent razor sharp disks at them. Luckily, the three managed to dodge the attacks for the most part but if they were hit, their armor took most of the damage. Even more frustrated than he was before, Ansem brought out his keyblade and commanded his guardian to try and attack one of them. So, listening to his master, the guardian brought his fists out and tried to pound them down on Kairi while still staying on Ansem's back side. Thankfully the princess of heart noticed his and brought up an reflect shield at the last minute, but even so the guardian only tried to break the shield with his fist. While Kairi was dealing with the guardian, Riku quickly ran up to Ansem and immediately locked keyblades with him, the two glancing at each other with tension in the air. But Ansem did not notice that Sora's will had come up from behind him and drove his keyblade into his guardians back.

As soon as the guardian let out a roar, Ansem stopped locking blades with Riku and turned around to see his guardian screeching out in pain. That is when Riku took his chance and blasted another light attack right at Ansem, which sent the lingering will flying forward. Once the lingering will flew through the air, Riku looked to the guardian, which had completely dissolved in darkness, Kairi finally getting the chance to put her reflect shield down and take a second to breathe. (End L'Eminenza Oscura II)

Once the two saw her struggling, Sora's will and Riku ran over to Kairi, who quickly dismissed them and told them she was fine. The three then all stood strong as they looked to Ansem's will, who was breathing heavily and struggling to point his keyblade at the three. But before anything else could happen, a corridor of darkness opened behind Ansem, and much to the heroes' horror, Vanitas was the one that stepped out.

Ansem, sounding relieved at the sight of the other lingering will, finally spoke, "Vanitas, assist me with this!" When Vanitas didn't move from his position, Ansem began to sound angry and turned to look at him. "Come now Vanitas, this is no time for messing around; we have a job to do, remember?"

With a few more moments of silence, Vanitas finally made a sound, he laughed. The lingering will then summoned his keyblade and began to speak, "Correction," Vanitas turned to Ansem and pointe his keyblade right at the Seeker of Darkness, "Xehanort and that Replica have a job to do, since you aren't going to be helping out anymore."

And with that, Vanitas blasted fire at the will, who froze when Vanitas spoke to him. This magic attack sent Ansem flying backwards into a wall and, when he tried to get back up, Vanitas came right back to him and pinned him against the wall. "What—what the hell are you doing?!" Ansem tried to shout angrily.

Vanitas only snickered in response. "Don't you remember what Xehanort said to us?" He asked, "Take down the easiest target."

And that is when Vanitas brought his keyblade down on Ansem's will, slicing right through the armor of the Seeker of Darkness, ending him immediately.
