The Next Day…

Everyone that had taken place in the battle against Xehanort were crowding on the shores of Destiny Islands, saying goodbye to one another before they departed. No one was sure how Mickey and Cid did it (in fact, no one really know how they accomplished what they did when they were together) but they had managed to gather up multiple gummi ships for everyone that had to go to another world. Everyone, except for a few that were the only ones returning to their own world, were on a gummi ship that would bring them back to their home worlds.

Not too far away from the Spira gummi ship, Aqua and Terra were talking to Tidus, Yuna, Rikku, Paine, Lulu, Wakka, and Selphie. "So you are going to stay in Spira now?" Terra asked Selphie, who smiled and giggled at the statement.

"Well, while I love it here, these guys have really become my family now, I can't just leave them!" She said happily.

"She has become like a younger sister to us, so it would kind of be weird for her to not be around anymore," Tidus added, putting his hands behind his head casually.

Terra crossed his arms. "I don't think I am the first to admit that it will be weird without you guys here, but it is your decision."

"Besides, that doesn't mean we can't visit, if you want us to of course," Aqua said.

"Of course we want you all to come visit!" Yuna exclaimed, "You don't even need to warn us that you're coming, just pop in anytime—"

Yuna stopped talking when she saw Ventus, rubbing his eyes, walking towards them, groaning slightly. "Hey, looks like Sleeping Beauty finally decided to wake up," Terra joked, turning around along with Aqua to see him coming towards them.

"Shut up," Ven growled, "You know, it would have been nice if you two didn't leave me on the beach after I passed out."

Aqua giggled to herself, "We would have come to get you eventually."

"That or you could have just sent Rikku to walk him up, yah?" Wakka added onto Terra's joke, which everyone laughed at. This caused Rikku and Ven to turn as red as cherries, and Rikku giggled and placed her hand behind her head.

"Oh yeah, about that, I'm sorry for ah… Kissing you like that," she apologized.

Ven smiled at the comment, "No! No, I was perfectly fine with it actually."

"Really?!" Rikku said excitedly.

"Ah, yeah," Ven continued, "Your kiss was… what's the word… exhilarating."

Rikku beamed when Ven said these words and quickly pulled him into a hug. "OMG! Finally someone that appreciates me like that! So romantic!"

Terra tried to hold back his laugh as Ven and Rikku hugged. He was about to say something, but a hand on his shoulder stopped him. "So children," Eraqus said, "Do you think it is time for us to return home?"

Terra and Aqua both turned to face their master. "Actually, Master Eraqus, there was something that the three of us wanted to ask you about," Aqua said, "But since Ven is occupied we will speak for him as well."

"And what is that?" Their master asked.

"It's just… When the Land of Departure was taken by the darkness, no one on the world really stood a chance, and we want to change that for a brighter future just in case something like that happens again," Terra explained.

"So what do you plan to do?" Eraqus asked.

"We wanted to make our 'keyblade school' open to everyone, not just keyblade wielders," Aqua said, folding her hands together. "We have been talking about this for a while, and we wanted to make the school a training school for kids, so they can learn the skills of combat to defend themselves just in case a darkness attack happens again."

"We know it might be hard, since many of the children probably won't wield keyblades like we do, but we both agreed that there is so much we can do that we haven't done," Terra said.

"Like what?" Eraqus asked, folding his arms across his chest in thought.

"We can find the children's strengths, and use that to their advantage," Aqua explained, "We already have it all planned out: Terra could train them in combat, me with magic, Ven with other special skills for the children that show street smarts, and you with those who can actually wield a keyblade. And then, once in a while, we could all teach our classes together, and they could all learn how important it is to depend on other forms of combat."

"So, what do you say?" Terra asked, nervously waiting for a reply as his hands shook.

After several moments of suspense, Eraqus finally spoke, "I think it sounds like a brilliant idea." Terra and Aqua perked up at his comment. "I know we should have started training other children who can't use the keyblade a long time ago, but I never knew where to start, you three have finally seemed to find the solution."

"Thank you Master, thank you!" Aqua said happily, "We won't let you down, promise!"

"Did you hear that Ven, Master Eraqus is going through with our—"

Terra stopped talking when he turned around to see Rikku, forcing a kiss on Ven's lips, not even giving him time to breath. When she pulled away, she yelled, "We are going to write to each other every day! No, I'll come to see you all the time! It will be like I live there!"

Ven stared into distant space with no expression accept shocked before Rikku kissed him again. Before Aqua, Terra, or Eraqus could say anything, Lulu said, "That boy does not know what he got himself into."

Meanwhile, Roxas, Namine, and Lea were speaking with the Edge residents casually before they boarded their ship. "So you know," Reno said, "Rufus still is waiting for you to join the Turks."

Roxas and Lea looked to each other when he said this. "Still hasn't forgotten about that even though it has been almost a year since we were on Edge?" Roxas asked.

"You learn early on that even though he's old, Rufus doesn't forget easily," Rude joked.

"What do you guys even do anymore? Ever since Shinra was shut down, you guys don't seem to do too much," Lea protested.

"Well… not quiet," Tifa said.

"What do you mean?" Namine asked.

"Edge and the Radiant Garden Restoration Committee have been talking," Vincent explained, "Even though we always have technically been allies, we are about ready to make it official."

"Wait, what are you talking about?" Lea asked, "I am not the only one completely lost am I?"

"It means that we are joining our world's armies together," a voice said behind them, who turned out to be Leon, joining the group. "I have been talking with Rufus and the rest of the Edge residents, Shinra seemed to have a good idea, however, they abused the power they had, while the Restoration Committee has always been fighting for the right side, but because of our limited numbers, we haven't always been able to pack a punch without assistance."

The three keybladers looked at each other confused. "Meaning?" Namine questioned.

"It means we are forming a new 'government' so to say," Cloud explained further. "Together, with Shinra's technology, just not using the planet's energy and finding something else to use, as well as the Restoration Committee's armed forces, we are creating a government system that will unite the two worlds."

"So basically, if Edge is attacked, Radiant Garden will help us out, and if Radiant Garden is attacked, Edge will help them out!" Yuffie added.

"Together, we are going to become more of a police force similar to the Restoration Committee, with upgraded technology courtesy of Shinra that will help us, just using a different type of energy instead of the planet's power," Cid continued.

"What kind of energy are we talking about here?" Roxas asked.

"Shinra, with some help from Stark, found a way to use darkness's energy to power these new forms of technology," Zack explained, "Both worlds still have a deal of darkness around them, so Shinra somehow managed to actually put the darkness to use by doing this."

"And as long as we use darkness's energy, that will mean less heartless will appear in the two worlds," Aerith added, continuing Zack's sentence that proved they were meant to be.

The three keybladers gaped at what they were saying. "That's… incredible," Roxas was astounded.

"We even came up with a name for this," Tifa added, "U.W.W.L.A, which stands for the United Worlds Warriors of Light Armies."

"So everyone, even Shinra is going through with this?" Namine asked.

"Yup, and the Turks are going to be one of the four groups of forces that are going to be helping out the two worlds," Reno continued.

"So you want us to join the Turks, which makes you join the Warriors of Light Armies that will help out the worlds?"

"Yeah, but don't worry, you can still live in Twilight Town, you'll just be called to duty every so often," Yuffie said. The little bit of worry that hid in the three keybladers faces disappeared when they said that.

"So what do you say?" Vincent asked.

Roxas, Namine, and Lea, who were still stunned by this, did not know what to say. However, Lea finally found his answer when he felt a soft hand on his shoulder. "You should join babe, it'll be fun," Elena rested her head against his shoulder, and Lea finally knew where his destiny would take him.

"I'll do it!" Lea exclaimed, "Not only to be with the one I care about, but it will help out my former home world and the other world that grew close to me; it truly is a great idea and I would love to be a part of it."

Roxas and Namine both looked to each other before nodding. "We'll join as well," Roxas spoke for the two of them, "This could not only help out Edge and Radiant Garden, but if this turns out successful, it could help the other worlds too."

"Agreed," Namine said.

"Boyah! I can see it now," Lea said, placing his hands on his friend's shoulders, "Soon, all of us will join this, and we can officially make a new adventure together!"

Not too far away from those groups, as everyone slowly began boarding their designated ships, Sora looked over and raised an eyebrow as he saw Riku with a backpack over his left shoulder, but shortly after smiled. The silver haired teen was talking to Terra (female), Cecil and Bruce at the moment, so Sora did not interrupt. But once they left Riku, Sora immediately walked over to his best friend. "Hey!" He called.

Riku seemed startled by the sudden yell, but then turned around to look at Sora. "Wait, you're leaving too?" Sora asked, now standing right in front of his best friend.

Riku placed his hand on the back of his head for a moment in worry and snickered slightly to try and lighten the mood. "Guess there is no point in hiding it anymore," he glanced away briefly as if he was afraid to look at Sora, "Yeah, I am."

Riku looked down at the ground when he spoke those words. Sora only grinned before he looked behind Riku, noticing Xion as she was talking to Cecil, Terra (FFVI), and Edgar before he looked back at Riku. "It's because of her isn't it?" He asked.

Riku looked back up at Sora when he heard those words, seeing his best friend glace behind him quickly before looking back at him. Riku then turned around, following Sora's hint to see Xion had stopped talking to the group of people and was now looking at Riku. Letting out the smallest smile, Xion waved to him, tilting her head slightly as her eyes shined at him.

Riku kicked the sand by his feet when he turned back to Sora. "Yeah," he finally admitted, "I wouldn't ask her to leave Twilight Town, and even tough this is and always will be my home, Twilight Town is more of a home to her than anything. I wouldn't separate her from that."

Sora let his head lay low as he let out a light chuckle that caught Riku's attention. "What?" Riku asked, but this seemed to only make his friend laugh harder. "Why are you laughing?"

When Sora finally ceased laughing, he looked back up at Riku. "Nothing it's just—" Sora stopped himself as he let out another chuckle, "Avner owes me ten munny."

Riku glared at Sora when the spiky haired keyblade wielder admitted that, but then found himself laughing as well. Betting munny was always something Sora did, but he was just shocked that Sora betted he would leave to go live with Xion. "So you're not mad?" Riku questioned.

"Of course I'm not mad!" Sora responded, "You love her, don't you?"

Riku grinned before he turned around to look at Xion again, and then looked back at Sora. "Yeah," he breathed, "I really do."

"Then I'm not going to stop my best friend from being with someone he really cares about," Sora smiled. "You have to be with who makes you happy, and I know that she does."

Riku looked down again before chuckling and looking back at Sora. "Well you and Kairi make me happy too," he asserted. "I never really admitted it before but… you two are my family."

Sora looked up at Riku shocked. Did he really just admit that? The keyblader smiled, "Just because you aren't living here anymore doesn't mean we aren't still family." Sora held out his hand, "So I'll see you later, brother?"

Riku grinned as he clasped onto Sora's hand, but instead of shaking it, used it to pull Sora into a hug. The spiky haired keyblade master gladly hugged him back, smiling.

Once the two brothers had stopped hugging, Riku looked to see Kairi come from behind Sora, standing next to him as she smiled. She gave him a look as if she knew that he was leaving, which he knew was true when she pulled him into a hug, one where he gladly hugged her back.

The two's hug was halted when Mickey's voice spoke over the crowd. "Excuse me everyone! All of those who are leaving this world please go on your designated Gummi Ship's now; they are going to be taking you home in a few minutes!"

When Mickey said these words, Riku nodded to Sora and Kairi, who both nodded back. Riku then turned his back on the two and walked towards the Gummi Ship heading to Twilight Town where Roxas, Lea and Namine where boarding while Xion waited for Riku to come. But before she and Riku could board on, Sora stopped them. "Hey Xion!" He yelled, which caught the black haired girl's attention right away, "Keep Riku in line for us will yeah?"

Xion giggled to herself as Riku sent Sora a death glare. "I'll make sure of it!" She replied before turning to the entrance of the Gummi Ship, walking inside of it and vanishing.

Before Riku followed her in, he turned to Sora and Kairi, giving his friends a salute as he walked into the ship, the door closing behind him.

At that moment, Mickey's voice seemed to come over a megaphone in his Gummi Ship that said: "Alright, everyone is on board, so we are heading off fellas!"

Sora stood on the beaches of the island, watching the ships slowly rise into the air until they were gone, taking off into the sky, bringing its passengers back home.

Before Sora could do anything else, he felt a familiar hand intertwine with his. "And then there were two," Kairi said as they both looked to the sky.

Sora chuckled. "Yup, just you and me," he replied.

"It's going to be weird with just the two of us," Kairi continued, "going to take some adjusting, don't you think?"

Sora turned to look into Kairi's eyes. "Even though it is just the two of us now, I don't want that to change anything, okay?" He asked, "I want us to act just like we would as if everyone was here, I want it to be just like old times."

Kairi smiled. "That's exactly how I wanted it," she said. Then, placing her hand on his shoulder, Kairi pulled her boyfriend into a kiss right on the lips, the two embracing for several moments before they parted.

(A New Day Has Come – Celine Dion) Once they separated, Kairi looked to Sora. "Race you to the star shaped marker?" She asked smiling.

Sora snickered at the question. "Oh you're on!" He responded. Kairi then smiled again before lightly punching Sora on the shoulder, causing the keyblade master to stumble slightly, giving Kairi time to get ahead. Sora only gave a death glare to his beloved as he sprinted after her.

And for once, the neither of them looked back.

The truth can only be known to the future itself.
