Greg was pacing in the room Meghan Holmes had escorted him to when he arrived that morning. He couldn't believe this day was here. He felt like he had been waiting his whole life for this day to come.

Greg was nervous, sure he had been married before but this was different. The last time he wasn't truly in love, Greg realized that now. Sadly it took her betrayal, a divorce, finally finding the man of his dreams, and her death, for him to realize he had never loved Amanda.

But what he had now was love, if he believed in it he'd say he found his soulmate.

Greg's musings were interrupted when John slipped inside the room.

"Hey calm down Greg, you'll wear a hole into the floor."

"Sorry I can't help it I'm nervous." Greg said as he stopped pacing.

"If it makes you feel any better, Sherlock says Mycroft is just as nervous."

Greg smiled fondly, knowing how his soon to be husband vented his nerves. Mycroft was probably driving his little brother up a wall straightening everything in sight.

Greg's mind then quickly remembered why he was nervous.

"Please distract me. How are you doing?"

"Well; considering I have a child on the way and almost no relationship with the mother, I'm doing well."

"How's Sherlock taking it all?"

"Surprisingly well all things considered. I can tell he has no fondness for Mary but he's polite to her. Whenever we meet with Mary and he talks the baby kicks like crazy. I think it likes the sound of Sherlock's voice."

"So you don't know if it's a boy or girl."

"Mary and by extension Sherlock does. I don't want to know." Although the circumstances were not normal, John was excited about becoming a father.

"Have you guys decided on names?" Greg was curious and it was keeping his mind off of the nerves.

"Michael for a boy and Alice for a girl. Mary fought tooth and nail for Alice."

Greg was about to tell John he was going to have a little girl when Dan poked his head in.

"Dad it's time."

Greg took a deep breath and straightened his tux before stepping into the next stage of his life.

The ceremony was a blur, which was disturbing for a man with Mycroft's memory. All he knew was that he was finally married to the only man who had stolen his heart.

They entered the ballroom of Holmes manor and the guests cooed in awe over the decorations.

Greg who was walking with the redhead, their hands intertwined, leaned over and whispered, "Your mother really knows what she's doing."

Mycroft nodded. Mummy had insisted on choosing the decorations with little input from Mycroft or Greg. When one of them would say she didn't have to do it, she'd reply with an oh tush, and ask again which color they preferred or if they wanted a string quartet or full orchestra.

The string quartet was playing a soft tune as they took their seats and the food was served. Just as their plates were set in front of them, Greg leaned over and placed a kiss to Mycroft's cheek whispering "I love you" in the redhead's ear.

The wedding had been small consisting of family and a few friends. All of the guest and even Greg had been surprised when the Prime Minister and his wife had shown up. Mycroft had been a little taken aback when he had rsvp'd but was glad that the man had accepted the invitation, he always viewed him as the closest thing he had to a friend at work, besides his assistant.

The surprise hadn't lasted long and he was now discussing 15th century art with Greg's father Johnathan.

Everybody was laughing and having a good time as the meal winded down. Meghan shot a look to Sherlock, who got up and walked over to the string quartet, producing his violin from amongst the musicians. Meghan tapped her glass getting everyone's attention and Sherlock spoke.

"I may not get along with my brother and we tend not to agree on many things, but I will say this: You have chosen well with marrying Gregory and I wish you all the happiness he brings you. Under Mummy's suggestion, I'd like to gift you this song." Sherlock placed the instrument under his chin and started to play a sweet melody. A few moments later the rest of the string quartet joined in.

Mycroft was in awe, as it is Sherlock had grudgingly accepted his invitation to be his best man, knowing it would please their mother immensely; but he never expected his brother to write a piece for him. The younger Holmes only composed for those he truly cared about.

Greg was smiling softly at the wonder on Mycroft's face. The music was beautiful and he knew exactly what would make this moment perfect. He leaned over and asked softly, "Do you want to dance?"

Mycroft looked at his husband, his eyes shining with overwhelming joy. "Are you sure?"

"I didn't take dance lessons from Sherlock for them to go to waste." Mycroft gaped at the admission, which pleased Greg. "Just do me a favor and you lead."

Greg stood up and held his hand out to his husband. Mycroft took it and walked out to the dance floor with Greg. The dance added to the sense of euphoria he had gained ever since exchanging vows with Greg. All his worries melted away and there was just the man he loved in his arms.

The song ended and there was applause throughout the ballroom. Sherlock set down his violin in its previous hiding spot and retook his seat next to John, the blonde placing a kiss on the genius' cheek as soon as he was in reach.

Mycroft and Greg mingled amongst those they considered family, delighted that they were all getting along so well. At one point My was afraid there was going to be a problem when he saw Greg start going into protective older brother mode at the sight of Dimmock and Emily flirting. Thankfully his twin brother's Fred and George intervened and distracted both Emily and Dimmock. Fred who was talking to Dimmock looked over to Greg and winked; Mycroft smiled when he saw Greg nod approvingly to his little brother and relax.

The toasts and speeches were endearing and warmed the couples' hearts. After a few toast to their happiness Mycroft stood up and cleared his throat.

"I want you all to know that I'm glad you're here to celebrate with Gregory and I as we pledge ourselves to each other. Along with this I'd like to share something else." Mycroft turned his attention to where Daniel, Thomas and Elizabeth were sitting. "I love you as if you were my own and I want the world to know that. So if it's alright I would like to adopt you three as my own."

There was silence amongst the guests as Lizzie hopped out of her seat quickly walked over to Mycroft and pulled him into a hug. Daniel and Thomas followed and stood behind Lizzie, Dan placing a hand on Mycroft's upper arm.

"We would be delighted if you adopted us." Daniel answered. Mycroft looked to Thomas who nodded his confirmation with a smile.

"Can I call you Papa?" Lizzie asked looking up at Mycroft.

"Of course you can Angel" Mycroft replied smiling.
