Hidden Talent Part 1, - Visiting Blue Bay Harbor Clinic
Sophia slams the snooze button on her alarm clock when she hears the buzzing sound. She rolls out of bed and goes over to the closet. She didn't want to admit it, but her throat was sore this morning. She picks out her aqua riding outfit. After she changed, she picks up the duffle bag with the rest of her gear before heading to the kitchen. She sits down at the table and starts to eat her bowl of apple cinnamon oatmeal. A few seconds later, Sasha and Hunter walk in.
"Hey, Hunter, I thought you were going to meet me at the track?"
"I'm sorry, my little cheetah, before you get mad at me." Hunter says.
"I hate when you say that, what's wrong?"
"Sasha asks me to come because she wanted me to her get you to go to the doctor,"
"I told you yesterday sis, I'm fine. My voice cracked like it did because I was tired,"
"I'd feel better if you had a doctor check you out," Sasha says.
Sasha, slowly, reaches into her jacket pocket. She takes out a folded posted note. She places it on the table and slides it across the table. The yellow posted note stops in front of Sophia's bowl. Sophia sets her spoon down to pick it up. She unfolds it and reads 'Blue Bay Harbor Clinic, Dr. Ramirez is looking forward to seeing at 11:30 am Wednesday Aug 6th.'
Sophia makes a fist with her left hand and crumples up the note. She throws it towards the trash can.
"I can't believe that you called to schedule a doctor's appointment for me. Why don't you mind your own business, and stop worrying about me." Sophia shouts.
"I can't do that Soph, we're family."
"I know, but how about you start treating like an adult instead of a little kid,"
Sophia quickly stands up. Sasha and Hunter see that Sophia has focused her ninja powers into a decent sized ball of lightning. She is about to throw it at the wall.
"Soph, I know you're upset. You need to calm down and think about what you're about to do."
"She is right, it will be hard to explain to the landlord how the scorch marks got on the wall," Hunter adds.
Sophia takes a few deep breaths to calm down. When they see the ball of lightning slowly starting to shrink, they breathe a sigh of relief. Hunter walks over to his girlfriend. He places his hand on her shoulder. She looks over at him.
"I'm scared, Hunter, what there is something really wrong with my voice."
"Try not to focus on that you need to stay positive. I'm going to be by your side the whole time,"
Sophia gives him a big hug. After the back away, she walks over to her sister. "Sorry about that outburst,"
"It's okay Soph; I know the doctor's office is your least favorite place in the world."
"Let's get this over with,"
Sasha smiles and they leave to go to Blue Bay Harbor Clinic.

Meanwhile, at Storm Charges, the others are sitting in front of the TV. The theme for 'Totally Talented' starts playing. Shane and Blake start singing along to the theme. After the title faded off the screen, the host Stu Starmaker walks down the stairs.
"Hello, to all you talent show lover out there. Welcome to Totally Talented, tonight the auditions continue, our judges search for that one lucky person that gets to go to Hollywood and gets to become the next singing sensation." Stu says.
"I love this show," Dustin says.
"Shh," Shane says.
"I have good news for all our fans in Blue Bay Harbor; we'll be there next Wednesday. If you're interested in being on the show come down to Station 5 to try out. Now let's get to our first contestant, 8 year old Savannah Hales" Stu says.
The camera pans over to the girl. She is just starting to play the piano, when Kelly walks over. She presses the power button.
"Hey, Kelly, why did you do that," Shane says.
"Yeah, we were watching that," Blake adds.
"Sorry, guys, but this is an action sports store. No, TV talent shows allow. We only watch action sport related shows here." Kelly says.

Meanwhile, Sasha pulls into Blue Bay Harbor Clinic parking lot. The group walks inside, Hunter sits down the waiting room. The girls walk up to the receptionist's desk. The worker, Alycia Langstone, looks up from the computer.
"May I help you," Alycia says.
"Yes, I'm Sasha Robins; my sister, Sophia, has an appointment to see Dr. Ramirez," Sasha says.
Alycia types her name into the computer. "Yes, we got her medical information from the hospital. Please take a seat, Dr. Ramirez will call you back in a few minutes."
"Okay, thank you," Sasha says.
They walk over to Hunter. Sophia sits down next to him.
"I'm going to make a phone call. I'll be right back," Sasha says.
"Okay, just don't call another doctor's office."
Sasha chuckles she knew that her sisters cracks jokes when she is nervous. She heads outside and takes out her phone.

Julia and Brayden are sitting at the kitchen table. It was covered several envelopes, one was from the cable company, the next one is from the water company. The next three are the monthly bill for their Discover card, Wal-Mart credit card, and Kohl's card.
Julia opens the Wal-Mart bill, and shouts "You bought a $611 laptop,"
"Sorry, Honey, I bought it to give to April. She is graduating this year, right?" Brayden asks.
"No, she graduates next year," Julia answers.
Brayden is about to say something else when the phone rang. He got up to answer it.
"Hey, dad," Sasha says.
"Hi, Sasha, how are you doing?"
"I'm okay, but I took Sophia to the doctor."
"What's wrong with Sophia?"
"The last time she sang, her voice cracked, I wanted to make sure that she was okay."
"Have you found out why her voice did that?"
"No, but as soon as I do, I'll call you back."
"Okay, Sasha, thank you,"
He says goodbye and goes back over to the table.

Sasha walks back inside, sits down next to her sister. Sophia is nervously tapping her fingers on the arm of her chair with her shoulders hunched and her legs together crossed at the ankles. A few seconds later, Hunter placed his hand on top of Sophia's to stop her from tapping. She looks over at him.
"Sorry, Hunter, it was starting to bug you huh."
Hunter nods and says, "You need to relax, I'm right here."
"We're right here," Sasha says.
"Sorry Sasha,"
"It's okay, so Soph why don't you try to meditate for a bit." Sasha suggests.
"That usually does help me to relax, but I'll look silly."
"Maybe a little, but Dr. Ramirez will be happy that she'll be able to take your blood pressure and get an accurate reading the first time." Sasha says.
"I'll do it too, that way we can look silly together," Hunter says.
"Okay, but where can we meditate,"
"What about over there?" Sasha says, pointing over to the kids' area of the waiting room.
Hunter and Sophia look over to where she is pointing to. They see a small table, a bookshelf filled with puzzles, and books, a chest full of toys, and a few bean bag chairs. They smile when they see there was one in each of their favorite colors, a pink one for Sophia and a green one for Hunter. They walk over to their meditation stop. They pick up their bean bag chairs and set them an arm's length away from each other.
Hunter takes out his phone and says, "How long should I set the timer for?"
"Five minutes,"
"Got it,"
They sit down in their chairs. Sophia looks around the room one more time. She didn't see anyone else coming in. She placed each of her feet on top of her opposite thigh so she is in a full lotus pose. Then looks over at Hunter and nods. He starts the timer, and they placed their hands on the soles of their feet. Then they quietly started to breathe in and out through their noses.

Back at Storm Chargers, the group slumps up against the wall. They're still upset that Kelly turned off the TV.
"What do we do now," Dustin asks.
"Maybe we think about what we'll be doing for the audition," Blake says.
"I'm definitely playing my Sax," Dustin says.
"Tor, you should dance," Blake says.
"Yeah, you've got some great moves," Shane adds.
"What you and Hunter, what are you guys going to do," Tori asks.
"It's a surprise," Blake says.
"Do you think that Sasha would want to do something?" Dustin asks.
"I don't know, Dustin, we'll have to ask her." Shane says.
"Shane, you should sing, you have an amazing voice." Tori suggests.
"Speaking of singing, I hope that there is nothing seriously wrong with Sophia's," Shane says.

Meanwhile, at the Clinic, A four year old girl, Angela and her mom Anastasia walk in. The doorbell dings as they enter. The sound causes Sophia opens her eyes.
"Mom, I don't need a checkup. I'm not sick,"
"Sweetie, we've been over this, Dr. Duncan wants to make sure that you're growing like you're supposed to."
"I know, but they don't have any good toys here. The puzzles are too easy. I've read all of the books, too,"
Sophia smiles hearing all of Angela's excuses, since she reminded her of how she was at that age. She remembers that her mom never fell for any of those excuses, so she was sure that they wouldn't work with her mom either.
"Sorry, sweetie, I'm not falling for that."
Sophia chuckles softly before closing her eyes again. Anastasia takes hold of her daughter's hand. She leads her up to the receptionist.
"Hi, Angela, Dr. Duncan favorite patient," Alycia says.
Anastasia signs her in. Angela escapes from her mom's grip. She glances over at Sophia and Hunter. Then she looks at Sasha and thought that the girls looked exactly alike.
"Hi, I'm Angela, is that other girl sitting over there your twin," Angela asks, walking up to Sasha.
"Hi, Angela, it's nice to meet you. I'm Sasha. No, sweetie, that other girl is my little sister Sophia." Sasha answers.
Anastasia looks down to see her daughter got away. She turns around and sees her talking with Sasha.
"I'm sorry if she is bothering you," Anastasia apologizes, as dashes over to her.
"She was no trouble at all," Sasha says.
"Who is that boy sitting next to her?"
"That's her boyfriend, his name is Hunter,"
"Mom, when can I have a boyfriend?"
"Not for another few years, honey,"
"I can't wait that long,"
"Trust me honey, that day will be here quicker than you think,"
"What are they doing anyway?"
"They are meditating." Sasha says.
"Why,"
"Some people use mutation to help them relax,"
"Your mom is right; Sophia gets really nervous whenever she has to go to the doctor," Sasha says.
"Does it really work?"
"For Sophia it does, but it depends on the person."
"I want to try it,"
Angela walks over to Sophia and Hunter. They open their eyes a bit and see her sit down in between them. They smile as she starts to copy them by sitting like they were. They close their eyes and restart breathing quietly and deeply through their noses. Anastasia sits down next to Sasha and watches her daughter meditating along with Hunter and Sophia.
Three minutes later, Hunter feels his pocket start to vibrate. He slowly brings himself out of his mutative state and turns off the timer. He stands up and walks over Sophia. She feels him gently tap her on the shoulder. She brings herself back to reality. They look over at Angela to see that she fell asleep.
"I guess her mind was too cluttered." Sophia says.
"Looks like it," Hunter says.
Anastasia walks over to her.
"At least you know she'll be calm when we see Dr. Duncan,"
She picks her up and walks over to her chair. Sophia and Hunter follow her. They sit down in their chairs. They wait for Dr. Ramirez to walk out.
"My little cheetah, if you don't mind, why do you hate the doctor so much?" Hunter asks.
"Hate it a strong word Hunter. I don't hate the doctor. I'm afraid of the doctor." Sophia says. "Anyway, when I was four I ate an olive and I started to have a really bad allergic reaction."
"Yeah, I remember that was scary. Mom and dad were trying not to have a panic attack. I called 911," Sasha adds.
"How old were you when this happened?" Anastasia asks.
"I was 6," Sasha answers.
"The only other things I could remember, was mom and dad asking the paramedic what's wrong. The paramedic having trouble find a vein in my arm. He kept poking me repeatedly with the needle."
"You forgot that the paramedic kept yelling at mom and dad too," Sasha says.
"Did they get to ride in the back of ambulance with you to the hospital?" Hunter asks.
"No, we had to follow it to the hospital," Sasha answers.
"That's terrible; I hope that paramedic got fired for his actions." Anastasia says.
Three minutes later, Sophia hears the door leading to the exam rooms open. She looks over to the source of the sounds. She sees Dr. Ramirez walk out. The doctor had hazel eyes, short brown hair and a friendly smile.
"Sophia,"
The group gets up and goes over to Dr. Ramirez. They shake her hand. Afterwards, Dr. Ramirez leads the group to her exam room. Sasha and Hunter sit down in the chairs under the window near the exam table. Sophia sits down on the exam table. Dr. Ramirez sets Sophia's file down on the counter. She washes her hands and puts on her gloves.
"When was your last full physical exam?"
"A year ago, I think,"
"I'd like to do that today if that's okay,"
Sophia nods. Dr. Ramirez starts the exam. She checks all her vitals and everything came back within the normal range. When she took her temperature, she had a slight fever of 100 degrees. She does her heart and Lung exam next. Sophia jumps when the stethoscope touches her skin.
"Sorry,"
She takes it away and breathes on it then puts it back on Sophia's chest. She is happy to hear a strong heartbeat and her lungs inflating and deflating normally. She puts the stethoscope back around her neck. She takes out a tongue depressor. She tells Sophia to open up and say "ah".
"Ah," Sophia says in a scratchy voice.
"I don't like the sound of her voice just now," Hunter says.
"Me too, what's wrong with her Dr. Ramirez?" Sasha asks?
"Her tonsils are red and swollen. I also see yellow patches on them as well, I think she has tonsillitis." Dr Ramirez answers.
"Are you sure," Sophia gasps in the same tone.
"I am, but I want to check your lymph nodes to be sure." Dr Ramirez answers.
Dr Ramirez throws the tongue depressor away. She checks her lymph nodes by gently touching her neck.
"I also like to run a few tests to figure out why your tonsils look the way they do." Dr Ramirez says.
"What kind of test?" Hunter asks.
"First, I'm going to do a throat swab to find out whether a bacterial infection or a viral infection is causing her symptoms. I'm also going to do a red blood cell count as well." Dr Ramirez answers.
Sophia really wanted to take out her frustrations by using her ninja powers to hit something in the room. Dr Ramirez goes over to the cabinet. She takes out a cotton swab, a test tube, and the items needed to take some blood from Sophia. She walks back over to Sophia. She swabs Sophia's throat and takes a small amount of blood from Sophia.
"I'll take these to the back, so I should have the results in a few minutes." Dr Ramirez says.
"Got it, thank you Dr Ramirez," Sasha says.
Dr. Ramirez leaves the room, leaving the three to nervously wait for the results. Sophia hops down from the exam. She walks over to her sister and Hunter.
"You don't think that I'm going to need surgery,"
"I don't know sis, we'll have to wait for Dr. Ramirez to come back.
A few seconds later, Sophia starts to nervously pace the floor. She stops pacing when the door to the room opens. She sits back down on the exam table.
"I have good news; the test came back negative for strep throat. This means your tonsillitis is caused by a virus." Dr. Ramirez says.
"So, what's the treatment Dr. Ramirez?" Sasha asks.
"Antibiotics are ineffective so I can't prescribe her any. She'll be back to her old self within seven to 10 days. She'll need to get plenty of rest, drink plenty of fluids to keep her throat moist and to keep her from getting dehydrated." Dr. Ramirez answers.
"Can I still have tea with honey?" Sophia asks.
"Yes, as long as it is caffeine-free and you can have popsicles too," Dr. Ramirez answers.
"One last question is she contagious?" Sasha asks.
Dr. Ramirez shakes her head no. Then they leave and head back to the apartment. Sophia and Hunter sit down on the couch. Sasha goes to the kitchen. She called her folks again to tell them about Sophia's tonsillitis. After she hung up, she morpher went off.
"Go for Sasha,"
"Hey, dad wants to run an errand. I'm going to the museum of Asian History. Do you want to join me?" Cam asks.
"Sure, I'll meet you at Ninja Ops."
Sasha walks back to the living room. She sees Hunter and Sophia snuggled up on the couch watching TV.
"I'm off to help Cam, he running an errand for Sensei,"
"I guess Hunter will have to take care of me then," Sophia says.
Sasha nods. Then she takes her car keys out of her purse again as she leaves the apartment for the second time. She drives to the academy with one thought on her mind. How are Hunter and I going to get Sophia to stay home? I know she doesn't want to let the team down.
