Hello Again! Yes, I'm still re-writing the new chapters, but I do have an all new one coming out soon, thanks again for reading! *I do not own Inuyasha, at all...Ever... /sadfaise*

A cool breeze flowed through the darkening forest, causing the sleeping Miko to shiver as she awoke, rubbing the sleep from her eyes she gazed around It's almost night... She observed before looking at the strong arms wrapped firmly around her body, up to the face of the sleeping fox demon. Shippo..

Kagome gave a slight smile as she watched the man sleep, feeling safe in his arms. He's grown up so much. She remarked, recalling how the young man had begun to sprout up like a weed, nearly two years ago. His tail, once just a puffball had lengthened into a beautiful auburn fox tail, and he was much taller than Inuyasha now, not that it stopped the half-demon from taunting him, It normally ended in one's head in the ground, be it Inuyasha's or Shippo's. His body was much more firm and well defined, it was pretty clear that the years of fighting demons while helping find the Shikon jewel shards had payed off. His hair, although just as messy as always was much longer and a lot more coarse like the fur of a fox.

Her mind turned to Inuyasha, wincing slightly as she began to think about how he too, had changed quite a bit since she first met him. He was still arrogant, and sometimes grumpy, but he had started to warm up and show a softer side when they were alone, well...he did at one point. With another heavy sigh she began to think about the last couple weeks.

They had stopped to take a break from their search for the shards, you'd think that after six years that it would be complete again, especially with Naraku dead, but, unfortunately, that just wasn't the case. It turned out that there was an even darker force behind Naraku that had kept him alive for so long. She knew that this evil force was going to be even harder to defeat.

Then of course when Naraku was -finally- defeated, the shard was destroyed yet again as a distraction of some kind probably to gather up strength, as all evil seems to do.

"Kagome! Where are you?!"Hollered a gruff, annoyed voice, causing Shippo to sturr with a grumble. "That jerk has guts looking for you." He glared towards where they heard the voice.

Standing up, both Kagome and Shippo stared at the rather annoyed hanyu, his ears twitching irritably as he opened his mouth, only to be silenced by a loud noise from Shippo. "What the hell are -you- doing here, Inuyasha?" he bared his fang-like teeth at the half-demon earning a glare.

"I came here looking for Kagome, what's it look like, runt?" Inuyasha spat, walking towards Kagome, only to earn a glare from the priestess.

"-looking- for me? What for? Shouldn't you be off playing with that...that..." She grit her teeth. "That undead piece of earth?!" Kagome shrieked, causing Inuyasha to flinch.

"I-I didn't...realize that she was the-" he stammered, only to be cut off by a frustrated yelp.

"Didn't realize I was standing right there while you and that..that...-thing- were...were..." She clenched her jaw and slammed a foot onto the ground. "INUYASHA, OSWARI!" She screamed into the dimming sunset the beads around his neck causing him to come crashing down into the dirt. Inuyasha recovered as quickly as normal, glaring at her as she moved closer to him. "I thought you enjoyed playing with dirt!" She spat venomously as she walked past the near-paralyzed hanyu.

Shippo's tail twitched, more in habit then in fear for Inuyasha, Man...She's scary when she's upset.

After a few moments Inuyasha sprang to his feet, his eyes burning as he hollered after her. "What the hell was that for?!" He grabbed her shoulder, only to flinch away from her gaze.

"What was that for?" Her eyes narrowed as she shreiked at him, causing the birds in the area to flee from the noise. "That was for A: going off at all hours of the night, without telling -anyone- anything whenever that-that...-corpse- is nearby; and more than that, you yell at -us- for taking too much time to re-find the shards when you're sleeping later and later." She moved closer, her nose against his as she glared at him with an intense rage, causing him to flinch back. "And B:..." She shuddered and collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down her face as she broke into sobs.

Inuyasha's face twisted into concern as he knelt beside her, "Kagome...I-I-" He touched her shoulder, only to be forced backwards by a particularly hard slap across his face. Kagome rose from her spot and turned away, lowering her head so her bangs cover her eyes. "Don't touch me, Inuyasha..." She moved away from him, walking back towards camp, leaving the half-demon stunned on the ground, his golden eyes moving to Shippo.

"Don't you look at me like some sad puppy, Inuyasha." Shippo snarled with a cold tone. "You seriously hurt her this time, and I don't think you'll be able to 'I'm sorry' your way out of it this time...My advice? Leave her alone." With a quick turn, he followed after Kagome to the clearing, finding Sango helping the miko onto Kirara's back.

"Kagome?" Shippo questioned, moving closer to her and Kirara.

"What is it, Shippo?" Kagome sighed out, seeming exhausted.

"Can...Can I come with you? I mean...I know that I can't go with you through the well but.." he looked at the ground, rubbing his arm absently.

With a small smile Kagome nodded. "Of course, Shippo, maybe you could keep Kirara company on the way back." Shippo nodded, climbing onto the beasts' back as they lifted into the air on paws of flames.

"Kagome, Wait!" Inuyasha shouted running after Kirara, only to be stopped by Miroku placing the tip of his staff against the hanyu's chest. "What do you want, Monk?"

Miroku sighed, glancing at Sango before looking into the half-demon's eyes. "I want you to leave her alone, it's clear that she doesn't want anything to do with you at the moment." Ignoring Inuyasha's glare, he continued. "Just...Go to Kikyo,we all know that you want to." Looking away from Inuyasha Miroku began to turn. "Kagome is with Shippo and Kirara, both capable fighters." Miroku moved to Sango's side, going back to his cup of tea.

Inuyasha looked to Sango, earning only a glare from the demon slayer. Turning from the two he huffed, jumping into one of the nearby trees, gazing up at the moon. "That runt better not let Kagome get hurt." He snorts to himself. Kagome...What have I done?
