Three weeks passed, and the Rangers managed to get enough evidence on Caston for the Motocross Sports Authority to suspend him from ever being able to get a factory sponsorship or ever be able to ride again. While she was out Cam decided to take Sophia's Morpher back to ninja ops to keep it safe. Hunter called him today to tell him that today the doctors are going to ween Sophia off the medication to start to wake her up. Hunter spent every night in the hospital. He was sick of the food they served in the cafeteria but ate it anyway since he refused to leave her side. All the nurses couldn't help but swoon at his loyalty to be by his girlfriend's side. They asked him to exit the room when Dr. Abigail came in to start the process. She slowly starts to reduce the amount of anesthetic. Sophia's eyes begin to flutter as she regains consciousness.
"Hi, Sophia, it's Dr. Abigail, how do you feel?" Dr. Abigail asks.
"My head kind of hurts," Sophia answers groggily.
"That's normal, but do you remember anything?"
"The last thing I remember I was practicing for my tryout race for the ladies team for Diablo racing. How did I get here?"
"That didn't go so well I'm afraid. You feel off your bike and hit your head. I put you in a medically induced coma to help your brain recover,"
Sophia tries to get out of bed. A big dizzy spell hits her as Dr. Abgail lays her back down Sophia moans in pain as she tries to get her vision back to normal as the room fills with blurry blobs of color.
"Easy Sophia, you're body is still going to be weak. You haven't had any food in three weeks," Dr. Abigail
"So, I'm going to be stuck here forever," Sophia complains.
"Not forever just till your body has recovered enough strength, and your vitamin levels returned to normal." Dr. Abigail answers.
"I'll keep an eye on her while you go tell Hunter that she's awake," Adamaris says.
Dr. Abigail nods and heads out to the hallway. Hunter look up at her when he hears the door open.
"How is she?" Hunter asks.
"It appears Sophia has retained some of her memories before the accident, but if she doesn't recognize you don't to be upset amnesia is fairly common with the kind of brain injury she suffered," Dr. Agigail explains.
"Okay, thank you, Dr. Abigail," Hunter says.
Hunter walks back into the room. He slowly approaches Sophia's bed. A smile appears on his face when he sees her smiling too.
"Hey, Hunter," Sophia says.
"So, you remember me," Hunter says.
"Of course I do. You're my boyfriend,"
Hunter leans in and kisses her on the forehead. As he backs away Sophia tries to move so she can kiss him back, but her body refused to let her. Hunter chuckles and helps her sit up. They hear Sasha clear her throat as their kiss starts to become a bit too passionate. Hunter lays her back down then turns around to see Sasha and the others standing in the doorway.
"Hey Sasha," Sophia says.
"I'll be back in ten minutes, but don't stay too long she still needs to rest, Go in one at a time, so you don't overwhelm her," Adamaris says.
"Yes, Ma'am," The group says.
Hunter walks over to the group and lets Sasha go over to her sister. She gives Sophia a gentle hug. Then a few happy tears start to roll down her cheeks.
"Sasha, why are you crying?"
"I was so worried about you Soph. I'm happy that you're going to be okay that's all," Sasha answers.
Sasha lets her sister go and takes a few steps back then uses the back of her hand to cry the tears from her eyes. Sophia looks down at her sister's wrist and a confused look comes to her face when she sees Sasha's morpher.
"Sasha, what's that thing on your wrist?"
"You don't remember what this is?"
"No. I don't I'm sorry."
"It's called a morpher,"
"What do you use that for are you a superhero?"
"Yes, I'm a Power Ranger,"
"That cool,"
Sasha walks back over to the group. Everyone else takes turns going over to Sophia she does the same thing every time. She'd remembered who they were but couldn't remember what a Power Ranger or what a morpher is.
"Cam, why don't you go last to see if you can jog her memory," Sasha says.
"I don't think I should," Cam says.
"Why?" Hunter asks.
"There has to be a logical reason why Sophia is refusing to remember that she is a ranger," Cam answers.
Cam looks back over at Sophia and sees that she is asleep. He motions for them to move into the hallway.
"We should let her rest for now guys," Cam says.
The team nods and leaves the hospital.
