As stated in the last two, I am currently re-writing every chapter, once that is complete I'm going to add in a new chapter, so thanks again for your paitence, folks!

I don't own Inuyasha, no matter how much I wish I did.

Shippo watched the land fly past as Kirara soared through the air. Looking down at Kagome as she rests her head on his chest, mumbling. "That jerk." she whispered. Shippo gave her a short glance before moving his gaze back onto the land beneath him. He hurt her so much, and that's not fair to her...

Helping Kagome off of Kirara's back, he frowned, noticing her avoiding his eyes. "You're gonna come back, right Kagome?" he questioned, his eyes trying to search hers.

"I don't know, Shippo." She sighed heavily, crossing her arms. "I'm starting to think that I should go back to my time...and just stay there." Shippo tensed at these words, his heart dropping as he watches her from the corner of his eye.

"Kagome.." He started, "You can't be serious." he shifted, trying to be eye to eye with the priestess. "Shippo.." She sighed as she moves away from him. "What do I have left to stay here for? Inuyasha doesn't need me..." She hugs herself. "And it's clear that he doesn't want me around anyways."

Shippo grit his teeth and grabbed her shoulder, forcing her to turn towards him. "Kagome, I don't give about what Inuyasha needs or what he wants." He stared into her eyes, intensity burning in them. "Me, Sango, Miroku, and Kirara all want you to stay with us!" Kirara chirps in agreement and brushes her body against Kagome's leg like a cat. "We...we wouldn't feel right without you!" He shouted. I...Wouldn't feel right without you. His heart lurched as she gave him a pained look. "I...Didn't think you felt that way..." She whispers, lowering her head again. "I always figured you'd just forget about me and move on..."

Squeezing her shoulder Shippo shook his head. "Sango and Miroku might after a long time...But I wouldn't." He studied her carefully. "Demons...especially fox demons...don't forget people...I could never forget about you..." He sighed, closing his eyes tightly, his heart dropping into his stomach. "Kagome.." He muttered. "Go home and get some rest, think about your decision...Kirara and I will be here if.." He paused. "When. You come back."

Handing Kagome her big yellow backpack, he watched her sling it over her shoulder, her brown eyes catching his for a moment before she quickly looked away. Please don't leave forever... Shippo cried inside. To his surprise she throws her arms around his shoulders. "I promise I'll come back.." She pulled back to smile sadly at him. "I'm sure Inuyasha will come after me anyways." Shippo wrapped his arms around her in a tight hug, closing his eyes to take in the moment. Why can't she just stay for me...a-and the others, of course...I mean..Inuyasha can find his own shards for all I care..

A growl rumbled in Shippo's chest, causing the miko to take a step back to study him. Foxes can growl? She tilted her head, earning a confused look from Shippo "Foxes can growl?" She questioned him.

"Well...yeah, of course we can, We uh...Don't growl often but whenever I think about Inuyasha and what he does to you..." He cut off and looked away from her, becoming a little more guarded.

Kagome smiled to herself. "Alright Shippo, then...I guess I should get going." She touched his shoulder gently. "I promise I'll be back, I'll even bring back some sweets, okay?" She teased at him, recalling how much Shippo enjoyed candy as a kid. Walking towards the well she gave him a final glance, giving him a reassuring smile before jumping down into the well.

Inuyasha's ears perked as Kagome's presence disappeared from this time, causing him to jump down from his branch, looking around as he scratches his head, trying to look tough. I need to fix things. I-I'm sure Kikyo will understand that I- 'That you...what?' hissed the demon inside of him. That you love Kikyo but because of Kagome you feel torn? Inuyasha flinched at the harsh tone of his inner demon. What will that fix? For all you know it could drive Kikyo to kill Kagome. Inuyasha insictively gripped the hilt of Tetsusaiga, a snarl escaping him.

No one will hurt Kagome. He reassured himself.

Except you, right? Taunted the demon. I neve-

You never, what? You mean you never fucked that dead priestess right before her eyes?

I...

You, what? What are you going to do? Go after Kagome and tell her that you didn't mean anything? Hah! A moment passed before the demon hissed. The girl is no longer yours.

But...

'But' Nothing, you messed up this time, and there's nothing you can do. No way to fix this mistake this time...all after telling Kagome you loved her!

Inuyasha's heart ached, he looked at the ground, his body trembling with mixed emotions, falling to his knees he buried his claws into the dirt, his fangs bared as he hissed at himself. "Inuyasha." Spoke a lifeless voice behind him. "What are you doing kneeling on the earth like that?"

Inuyasha jumped to his feet, turning to glare at Kikyo, his eyes blazing with rage. "This is your fault!" He roared at her.

"What is?" Kikyo's eyes remained locked on Inuyasha's face.

"You...You turned Kagome against me!"

Kikyo stepped towards the distraught half-demon. "I did nothing of the sort. Was it not you who made the first move?" her voice was cold and lifeless as she watched him struggle.

Taking a step back, Inuyasha looked away. "I-I need to be alone, to think." Turning completely he sprung high into the air, jumping from branch to branch until reaching the Tree of ages. Settling on a branch near the top of the ancient tree, he leaned against the trunk; Arguing with the demon within him.

What do I do to fix this? He questioned himself. You do nothing, as you cannot fix it.

With a single shiver, Inuyasha gazed to the stars, deep in thought.

Kagome lay in her bad, watching the ceiling as her mind raced with thoughts. How could he..I just...don't get it, why would he do...that, after saying.. With a heavy sigh, she blinked back tears, turning her thoughts to Shippo. He's grown up so much over the years... She smiled to herself for the first time in a long time, a small, laugh escaping her. He's gonna make a girl really happy some day.She smirked, giggling again as she rolled over with a small yawn. He's so sweet, and kind, whoever gets him is going to be a very lucky girl. Yawning again she closed her eyes, falling asleep with a smile on her face.

Watching Kagome from the windowsill a pain pierced his heart, hearing her talk in her sleep. He knew that was a normal occurrence for kagome, but this was different. Creeping into her room he strained his ears to listen to her words. "Mm..Shippo.." She murmured before rolling over again. Rage and jealousy coarsed through the hanyu's body. She's dreaming about that..That runt?! Biting down a growl his demon chuckled, sparking even more rage. Perhaps she's finding comfort in another...one more -worthy- Turning away from Kagome's bedside he perched on the window for a moment before jumping down. No..she couldn't be comforted by some...fox!

He howled inwardly, being pulled from his thoughts by a soft, concerned voice. "Inuyasha?"

He turned, coming face to face with Mrs. Higurashi. "Inuyasha, may I speak with you?" She questioned, stepping towards him.

"What is it?" He asked, trying not to look guilty.

"Kagome came home increedibly upset with you. What happened?" She pursed her lips, looking expectantly at him.

"I...Messed up." He looked away from her, his fists clenched, drawing a small amount of blood. "She..Caught me with someone else...I-" He was silenced by Mrs. Higurashi's disappointed stare.

"I cannot scold you for this, you're not my child." She stated, crossing her arms. "But what you've done is hurt her terribly. When she came home, she was in tears, and never wanted to return to your time." She moved closer, nearly nose to nose with him. "She loved you, you know. And when she thought about what would happen after you finished finding those...shards." She shook her head. "She was worried about having to leave you." Turning from the Hanyu she continued, "Now it seems like she wants little more to do with you. I don't have much advice, because nothing can heal the scars you've caused...But." She paused. "I'm going to ask that you don't return until Kagome has said it's okay." She watched the hanyu, waiting for his response. "Do you understand?"

Looking at the ground he swallowed hard. "I-I...understand." He muttered, turning towards the well. "I won't come back then." He suppressed a sigh as he ducked into the shrine that held the well, disappearing in a bright purple light.

"I hope he understand he's not coming back." Kagome's voice came through the doorway, her mother turning to face her as she slowly made her way to her mother. "I'll be going for Shippo, Miroku and Sango's sake.." Her mother nodded, taking her child into her arms as the sobs began once again. "Kagome...I do think he still loves you, I saw it in his eyes.."

"If he loved me..th-then why.." Kagome sobbed, clearly hurt.

"I don't know...Maybe this Kikyo person had him possessed, that has happened in the past, right?"

Kagome shook her head. "It has, yeah...but.." She blinked, seeing a bright purple flash of light. Pushing past her mother she cursed, glaring at the well. "Inuyasha! OSWARI!" Kagome paused, expecting to hear a loud crash, only to be met with silence before a rather confused Shippo, rubbing the back of his head strolled out from inside the shrine. "Ow...That hurt." He complained, only to stare at Kagome. "Kagome? When did you come back?"

"I didn't, Shippo, you're-You're...in my time." She blinked, watching Shippo gaze around the area, clearly overwhelmed as he stumbled. "Wh-wha-" He staggered before fainting.
