Hey everyone,
This chapter is going to be hard. First we'll have to deal with the aftermath of Rabastan and what happened to him by the hands of the Death Eaters that were willingly awaiting their punishment and then we have to get through said punishments as well as the trials that will determine what they will be and why.
Now, the good news is, that I am planning to keep most of the trials themselves more or less summarized. Why? Because I'm not looking forward to a 20 pages long chapter. The bad news, there will be mentions of abuse, torture, kidnap, murder and other acts of illegal violence in this chapter, with minimum amounts of regret.
You have been warned,

Chapter 25
I Accept My Fate

Tom Riddle's POV

"Rabastan, Rabastan, Rabastan. You are just such a dumb little simpleton. Swearing fealty to a crown that has been in near full power for decades exactly when the proper crown comes in and takes his rightful place? Tsk, tsk, tsk. Such a shame, such a shame indeed. I guess you're only good for action, not proper thought."
I say to the bound and frozen former Death Eater, the man himself being frozen from the neck down and his body, while encased in ice, is also tied and charmed to the chair he is seated on and the floor his chair is stood on, yet even with all that does the man still seem to feel a strong sense of defiance as he glares at me.

Now before my change this would have made me feel infuriated and would have inspired me to use the Unforgivables on the man, if only to teach him what true obedience is supposed to be like, yet thanks to my change and thanks to the presence of several officials, do I refrain from letting the man lure me into doing so.
"You're nothing but a weakling. The real Dark Lord would have cursed me just for looking at him wrong. You're doing nothing, you're no better than Dumbledore." The man sneers at me, yet I roll my eyes and say: "My dear Rabastan, what good would it do my supposed cause if you were half-insane thanks to torture sessions?
Do you really think I could have won anything if all I did was scare people away and hurt those loyal to me? It would have caused for a reign of fear, yes, but how long until that fear turned to rage and that rage into a rebellion. Oh, don't look at me like that, I'm not saying I don't trust in my followers, but let's look at the odds.
It's already quite obvious that Muggleborns outnumber the Purebloods 1 to 3, maybe even 6, so even if I eradicated half the Hogwarts population, it would still leave the Muggleborns with an advantage in numbers. So tell me, Rabastan my boy, how many do you think it will take to overthrow an army of – what – 140 men?"

The man glares at me, obviously hating how I used logic to go against his insults and prove him wrong at the same time before I say: "See, this is a much safer method. You all learn something and I don't lose my temper on you due to inability of action caused by nerve damage or other inner mental or emotional injuries."
And while I can tell that – had he not been frozen – the man would have been trembling with furious inner rage, do I sigh and say: "Rabastan, you don't conquer a world by throwing a war or a hissy fit. You conquer a world by convincing the people your side is the right one and using arguments and debates to prove your point.
And at the current moment, our points no longer hold much ground. Yes, we may have a lot of pride in our heritage and rightfully so, but forcing others to acknowledge that kind of incredible heritage will only have adverse effects. Proving we are worthy of that heritage – that is the key to society, my dear mentally disturbed man."

Yet as I say this, does another voice comment as it says: "I see that returning your body and heart together have truly done wonders to your personal traits and talents, very good." And when I look up from my little traitor of a follower, do I instantly bow low as the Queen steps into the room with her companions in tow.
The woman bows back to me and says: "Thank you for detaining him. You may go back to your seat now." I nod at the woman and sit back down, feeling the same level of pride as my former self had, yet also feeling all of the talents I had felt being drained out of me each time that disgusting leech made me cast off more of myself.
At first I had believed it to be thanks to the soul bit that had joined mine at age 16, but as I began to create more, I started to realize that it wasn't always of my own desire to do this or commit the actions I know I will be trialed for today and that had scared me. The lucky part of it was, I was never fully aware of my actions.

No, I hadn't been all there when Hagrid had been framed by my disgusting actions. No, I hadn't been fully conscious when I had started gathering followers within my own House and those loyal to my cause in other Houses. No, I hadn't been consciously present when I had asked my Head of House about the Horcruxes.
All of that had been the Basilisk and only now do I understand how it could have done this. The Basilisk is an animal of death and hunting to kill, thus its soul would have been in pieces long before I myself found and tried to enslave it to my will, which in turn allowed for it to bind a bit of its own soul to mine and conquer my body.
"And now, while none of this can excuse the terribleness that is my crimes, can I finally reveal all of this to the world and make sure that both the Basilisk and that poor girl get what they deserve; the end of its infernal life and her well-deserved piece of mind and soul." Goes through my mind as I sit down in my chair.

Then the Queen speaks and says: "Let it be known that while Peter Pettigrew will be sentenced for his crimes, it is no longer possible for him to be questioned due to magic cast by my soul-mate and the king of this world. This bit of magic had been cast to ensure that Peter Pettigrew would be a danger to magic no more."
This makes me look at the filthy little rodent – why the Basilisk within me chose to hire that rat is just beyond me – and the calm look on this face makes me know he either found a way around this, feels at peace with this upcoming fate or knows something that might just elude the queen and her king, making me worry for the latter.
I then look around at the ones who have been brought in with the man as well as the ones who are willing to remain seated and accept the fate that the crown will give them and the worried looks on some of their faces makes me feel worriedly confident that it is indeed the latter, making me clear my throat and say:

"Your majesty, if I may." The blue haired woman nods and I say: "The culprit you speak of looks much too calm to be considered acceptable. Obviously he has either found a way around this form of magic or he finds it beneficial to something that he knows that others do not and that he desires to keep that way.
However, it is quite clear by looking at those who decided to remain here and prove their honor to the proper crown that the culprit's reason for this strange tranquility of his is most probably due to the latter, so I suggest questioning those who seem to – at least – have an inkling as to this secret so we may uncover it."
And instantly I am proven correct as the calmness on the man's face changes to absolute horror and fear for his own life in less than a heartbeat and I think: "One can only imagine the horror this little rodent is trying to hide from us." And with that do I lean back, ready to aid in the proper punishing of these criminals however I can.

Aqua's POV

Ienzo had warned me that his Lexicon had picked up on some strange sense of Dark magic and a secret he found hidden within his captive that was filled with disgustingly high levels of malice to other – unknown – individuals and now I get further evidence of this through the one we just saved from darkness.
The younger man not only proved to have earned the reputation he had when he was still a student, he also proved how badly he wanted to prove his loyalty to the Crown as he had taken care of the one who had rebelled a bunch of traitors to try and escape and offered for one of his former followers to reveal the secret of the rodent.

I then look around, wondering who of those who proved their own loyalty as well should be the one to speak up in the name of the rodent, when a woman with brown hair that is cut at the ends in the shape of sea waves steps up and says: "Your Highness, I would like to be the one to be questioned in regards to the rodent's secret.
It was – I am horrified to admit – my fault that he even came up with his secret as, when he was still a rookie member of the Dark Lord's team, I taught him of what Death Eaters do and I made a joke that he took for granted and began making a reality. I feel horrible that he took my joke for serious and wish to reveal it."
I look at the woman, amazed that while she had – at one point in her life – been a member of this dark and evil group of wizards, she now truly seems to feel repentant and I look from her to Ienzo, the man giving me a small nod as he still has his Lexicon open and I say: "Your actions are greatly appreciated, Miss. Please, take a seat."

One of the wizards who decided to join us then conjures a chair while another one of them moves down the stage to the floor where the convicts are all seated and when the young Miss has taken her seat does the official say: "To be certain that we can uncover all crimes, we will be submitting testimony through Veritaserum.
For those bonded to the King who are unknown to this draught, it is a method used by our world to lower the inhibitions and reserves of a person and make them more compliant to telling the truth. Milady, are you willing to consent to this?" And while intrigued by this method of uncovering the truth, does the woman nod.
Then another Death Eater goes to stand next to her and say: "To ensure full unity in these acts of uncovering and revealing the truth, I will personally make a Magical Oath of Truth so I can be the middle person between my former colleagues and the Board of Government." At this the official nods and then the man says:

"I, Lucius Abraxas Malfoy, swear upon the magic of the Most Noble and Ancient House of Malfoy that each word I speak from this moment forth until the end of these trials will be the honest and by my person recognized truth. May the magic of Longbottom Hall punish me if this is not the case. So I swear, So Mote It Be."
And while the official repeats the final four words, do I then feel a wave of magic go through the room before the official gives the woman seated the bottle and yet she only takes three drops on her tongue before giving it back. "Powerful draught. The ingredients alone make it dangerous to take more than those drops."
Ienzo mutters at me and I nod before I ask: "What is your name?" And the woman answers: "Marian Greeve." To which Mr. Malfoy says: "Acknowledged." And another, weaker wave goes through the room. I nod at this, understanding that this will be part of the future trials and then ask: "When were you born?"
"On the 14th of February in 1962." And as Malfoy repeats himself do I decide to take care of the rat before getting through with the woman before me and ask: "Earlier you stated that a joke of yours had been taken to heart by Peter Pettigrew and that he now considers it his darkest secret. What was this joke?" And her words utterly repulse me.

"I said that, if Pettigrew really wanted to hurt the ones who took family members from, he should rape their dead corpses after torturing and murdering them. That it would be even worse for the families left behind than if their beloveds would be turned into Inferi or even Zombies. He, however, didn't go through with this for another year."
And while Malfoy keeps quiet about this, making me wonder if he knew of it or not, do I then ask: "Yet he made it practice afterwards?" And the woman nods as she says: "He rose in ranks really fast after he started. I found it suspicious because of his clear lack of talent and asked around. I was ridden with guilt when I heard how he did so."

"Why would anyone joke about raping a dead body?" An official asks and the woman answers: "Sorry, but you don't know what it's like to be born on the day of romance. My mother expected me to start getting ready to be courted when I was five years old. She introduced me to sexual enhancement spells at age nine.
I knew more about how to love another person, how to accept all kinds of courtship methods and how to seduce both sides of the gender spectrum even before I came to Hogwarts. And all of my Hogsmeade visits were pre-arranged dates with men my mother believed I could be a good and proper wife for.
When, in my fourth, she forced me to go on a date with someone who was actually 22 himself, I snapped. I fled Hogwarts and the country and dabbled myself in all kinds of spells that would make lovemaking into a true horror story. The Dark Lord found out what I could do with spells like that and requested I join his ranks.

My talents were acknowledged within the year and I actually got the privilege to train Death Eaters like Bellatrix Lestrange as well as the honor to use sexual intimidation to make enemies of the Dark Lord reveal their secrets. I felt as if my date of birth was finally something I could be proud of, as if I had accomplished why I was born that day.
The other Death Eaters all enjoyed all kinds of spells and forms of magic that made for serious and severe physical or mental damage, but I craved the kind of pain I could cause someone sexually. I didn't understand it then, but it was driving me mad and thus, one day, I made that disgusting joke and – well, you heard what happened."

At this I nod at her and then an official asks: "Do you have any regrets to what you have caused during the Great War?" And the woman answers: "Only half. On one hand I regret causing so many innocents more or less the same kind of pain my mother caused me at young age. On the other, I won't deny that I didn't revel in the feeling it gave me.
I would never sink as low as I did then – or as low as Pettigrew – but I won't deny that I have these tendencies or that I am blameless for my own actions. Out of revenge, spite or even late teenage idiocy, they were my actions and I blame no one but myself." At this I nod again and then the official speaks up and asks:
"Do you know how many people Pettigrew performed his disgusting act on?" And the answer makes me cast a silent Cura on myself to keep my stomach from emptying itself as she answers: "Three-hundred and ninety-nine. I even heard him admit after the return of the Lord that he had desired Lily Potter as his # four-hundred."

Instantly the whole room is in utter uproar and while half of the Death Eaters look as disgusted as I feel, do the other half actually yell statements of pride and praise at the bound man, the man himself smirking in a manner that actually scarily reminds me of Master Xehanort when he tried changing Ventus into the X-Blade.
I shake my head at this, determined not to let that bastard turn into someone that dark without consequence and when I realize that no one seems ready to calm either themselves or others down, do I stand up and shout: "Firaga!" And a wave of pure fire erupts from my form, moving diagonally upwards and hitting the ceiling.
This effectively shuts everyone up and I sit back down as I say: "Thank you, Lady Greeve. You have admitted to your own crimes as well as revealed Peter Pettigrew's own darkest secret. You will be sentenced, but I hope I can entrust upon you the honest belief that his actions will not go unpunished, not his betrayal, not anything."

The woman nods and says: "I accept my fate." Before Lucius steps up and says: "I would like to speak up and say that, while I was unaware of how Peter Pettigrew came to rise in ranks as quickly as he did, do I indeed know that Lady Greeve was a master of the dark side of romance and how to use it to hurt and torment her victims.
That it was her who gave Pettigrew the idea is not something that surprises me, yet in the years that the Dark Lord was unavailable have I seen honest signs of Lady Greeve of making up for her actions. Therefore, I request that her specialty is not one that is revealed to the public as her apology acts are mostly to families of those she hurt."
At this I look at the officials who joined my friends and me and they all nod as the one providing the Veritaserum says: "We will simply make a summary of all the crimes all of you were sentenced for with some of the more well-known listed specifically. Lady Greeve does not fall under that category so she will remain anonymous."

Malfoy nods and when the antidote to the truth serum is administered, does the woman herself sag in relief before I share another look with my partners and then I stand up and say: "There are over 70 of you here and we are quite sure there are many more who we didn't manage to catch that work for the former Dark Lord.
Half of you believe in the new crown, the other half desires a kingdom of your own. Because of that would we like to ask Lord Malfoy to pick one person for each side. We would let the latter group pick for themselves, yet due to their actions previous have they lost that right. Lord Malfoy, please voice your picks."
The blonde seems shocked and intrigued before he bows and moves over to the side of those who support our mate and after a few minutes of clear discussion, does he seem to bow his head to his former master before he says: "I pick myself for my side of the group and pick Walden Macnair for the opposite group.
I myself was practically the Dark Lord's right-hand man if not his apprentice and Walden Macnair had been the trainer of practically all groups of the Death Eaters bar the Inner Circle. He, I myself and Bellatrix Lestrange went on at 89% of all missions that the Dark Lord send his men onto during the years of the Great War."

I nod at the man and say: "Who do you pick to stand in for your oath while you yourself are under the Veritaserum?" And the man answers: "Bellatrix Lestrange. She and I taught each other in the first years we served the Dark Lord and we practically Founded the Inner Circle alongside Bellatrix's husband and brother-in-law."
I nod at this, while I try to hide my unnerve at the fact that I will be hearing from the very heart of this evil organization and while part of me is glad that Harry isn't here as he really doesn't need to hear this, do I say: "We will do Walden Macnair first. Please retake your spot besides the suspect." And the man does as asked.
Even then moves, with help of Ienzo and his Lexicon, the man in question to the center of the room and while the man glares at me does he then turn to Lucius and spat: "Filthy traitor." Yet Malfoy just looks down at him and says: "A true Slytherin knows when they are fighting a losing battle. I have accepted that and swore my alliance."

And while I am amazed at how controlled the man sounds, do his words also slightly worry me as they make me wonder if he will truly remain loyal to my mate if someone else gets proven to be stronger or a better party to support, yet I shake my head at this and while I do so, does Macnair get the serum forced down his throat.
The man splutters and tries to spit out the potion, yet the ice that covers him then grows to encase his lips, making the man be forced to breathe through his nose and gulp to get oxygen and when his eyes glaze over like they had with Lady Greeve does Even make the ice vanish yet again, making me nod at him before I ask:

"What is your name?" And the man answers: "Walden Macnair." To which Lucius falls back in his earlier role and confirms the name before I ask: "What is your date of birth?" And the man answers: "The 27th of September in 1955." This amazes me as that makes the man a good 50 years old even though he only looks in his late thirties.
I then shake my head, which is helped by the wave of magic that resonates through the hall as Malfoy acknowledges the man's words as truth and I decide to get to the goriest parts of this all first and ask: "What are the most satisfying things the Dark Lord allowed you to do?" And while some look at me strange, does the man answer:

"He was a truly generous master. Of his most hated enemies, he allowed me to dissect them for his Potions Masters and whichever parts the brewer geeks didn't want or couldn't use, I got to keep for myself for my own little collection. He did so with all of his enemies, be they human or creature. I still have and cherish them too."

Instantly the entire stage of witches, wizards and my friends shudder in utter revulsion and I ask: "Did you ever cause direct physical pain to any of your own victims?" To which the man answers: "Only to those too weak to serve the Dark Lord after they joined him. The Lord wanted me to pick out the best and I did so with diligence."
And while I wonder if this will become a regular part of my role as queen, do I focus elsewhere before I ask: "How many of those that wished to join the Dark Lord did you harm and were there ever casualties you caused?" To which the man actually almost smirks and answers: "No one who is weak deserves to serve the Dark Lord."
And instantly I have my answer. I shudder and shake my head at this and then take a deep breath before I ask: "You were a known Death Eater, yet you aren't in prison. Why is this?" And the man answers: "I bribed my way out when the Dark Lord fell. I have been relishing in my job of Ministerial Executioner ever since."

And while I am shocked and revolted that someone like this works at such an important part of this world and while I share a look with Even, Ienzo and Terra, all three of them nodding when I look at them, do I then take a deep breath to get myself back under control and then state: "Report all that which I would consider criminal."
And while the man seems to try and break through the Veritaserum as he nearly snarls at me, does he then say: "I killed 912 Muggles, tortured 777 Mudbloods before murdering them, destroyed 122.456 houses and personal bits of properties, stole 645 pieces of equipment that I used for torture and executioner purposes.
I dissected werewolves, Veela, vampires, Mudbloods, Muggle scum, assassinated three Muggle high officials as well as 20 members of the Ministry for Magic while spying, kidnapped four assistants to the Minister for my fellow Death Eaters and joined in on 45.987 raids all across the country that is Great Britain.
I Imperiused the entire Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures to allow me to kill off 769 creatures while working for the Ministry and killed 343 Mudblood bastards who tried rising to positions within the Government that they didn't deserve. The only beast that I never managed to kill was Buckbeak the Hippogriff."

The numbers shock and repulse me and I feel like my heart is breaking for each and every poor soul that fell victim to this bastard and his ways and I say: "I can think of only one punishment for one as dark as you. Lord Even, encase this man so that the ice may be his grave." And the man nods before he waves his hand.
The rest of the man's body gets encased, his face disappearing behind a thick layer of snow white colored ice and with another wave of the man's hand does the entire block of ice turn dense with color, causing for none of us to be able to see the criminal within. I nod at this and then Ienzo uses his Lexicon to levitate the man away.

"Lord Malfoy, do you believe that there could be a chance for the man to find redemption if he stays in that ice for long enough?" One of the officials then asks, but Malfoy shakes his head and says: "I honestly believe that the only one who deserves redemption is our Lord. He was but a puppet to another's strings.
He is the person we all see sitting there, not the monster that led my fellow colleagues and I. I have heard his tale and I believe that – even when he does not agree with me – that he is not responsible for his acts. The rest of us do not have the luxury of his fate, yet I do know that my half has seen the truth the way the queen does."
At this I nod, feeling glad that – if nothing else – there is one person who can be considered innocent in this whole debacle and that the loyalty of those on the side of Lord Malfoy are truly repentant of their acts before I say: "Take your seat, Lord Malfoy. Lady Bellatrix, please take the former place of Lord Malfoy."

The two nod and then, after the woman has taken an oath similar to that of Malfoy and after the man himself has taken the draught, do I decide to be a bit lenient – if only to give my nerves some more time to settle and ask: "Lord Malfoy, would you be willing to agree to a postponing of punishment in return for further information?"
To which the man answers: "That depends on the information her majesty requires, though I am willing to provide whatever knowledge I have gathered since the day of my birth." I nod at the man and ask: "Would you consent to – at a later date – report to us how many crimes you believe your other suspects have committed?"
And instantly the man answers: "Yes." Making me nod before I say: "Then once we have heard of your own crimes, we will put you under House Arrest and you will remain there until we are ready to hear of the crimes of your former coworkers." The man remains seated and silent and then the woman speaks up and says:
"As current proxy to House Malfoy, do I accept for this agreement between House Malfoy and the Royal Crown." I nod at the woman and while almost all those who had been on the side of Macnair are now sending glares of utter loathing and betrayal to the two in the middle do I take a deep breath and say:

"Please report all you have done that you believe I would consider an act of criminal nature." And the man starts to speak: "I murdered 12.295 Muggles, tortured, maimed and killed 7.866 Mudbloods, kidnapped 466 Mudblood kids from Hogsmeade for the pleasure of my coworkers and to torture, maim and kill myself.
I have robbed 17 Ancient and Noble Houses, have infiltrated the Ministry, have implanted false bits of information and cast compulsion spells on both Minister Bagnold and Minister Fudge and threatened my way onto the Board of Governors. I have kidnapped 65 Muggle kids for my son to learn how to torture and maim.
I have illegally claimed several seats of Ancient Houses from extinct families and have conspired with Dolorus Jane Umbridge in the eradication of all Magical Creatures and Beings. I have funded the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures whenever they had a case concerning my opponents or Ministerial rivals.
I have cast 233 curses on Albus Dumbledore to make him suffer for his beliefs and acts and have abducted and murdered 3 of his Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers. I have supplied Ginny Weasley with an artifact of Dark Magic and have conspired in the reopening of the Chamber of Secrets and Petrification of Mudbloods.
I have Imperiused 465 Mudbloods of the same family to have incest with each other and then erased all of their memories bar the one of them sleeping together and the one of them knowing they are family. I have further threatened 122 mothers into raping, mauling and torturing their kids before murdering them as well."

By now I feel faint and I think: "And that is just done by him alone. How has this world not vanished into Darkness yet?" But then I hear a soft cough to my side and I see Terra from the corner of my eye, making me try to regain myself before I almost whisper: "The crown hands over the act of Judgment to Lord Terra."
And while my best friend and true beloved bows to me at hearing this, does he then stand up and say: "Lucius Malfoy, as stated by the queen, you will be under House Arrest until you have given a full report of the crimes of your former colleagues. We hereby declare that your keeper will be Lady Longbottom until further notice."
And while I wonder why he picked this woman, do two of the officials then take the man's arms and lead him out of the room, one of them administering him the Antidote as they walk and while I suddenly remember that this room is part of Lonbottom Hall, does Terra then turn to all the others and does he then say:

"This session of justice is hereby over. You will all be put under a spell of Lord Ienzo which will bind your magic and will ensure your fealty to the crown. Those who have thoughts of death to the crown will be held within their ice prisons and will be tended to by Dobby the House Elf. The others will reside in a residence of their choice.
However, please understand that this is only until we have gotten to the bottom of all your crimes. You are not getting away for your crimes, yet we feel it would set the wrong image to the public if we simply punish you all the same. You will most assuredly hear of your punishment between now and the end of this week.
Some of you may have committed crimes that others have not, some of you may have simply just constantly banded together. Those who have done the latter can expect to be treated to the same punishment. However, we want to truly clean house, so we will deal with other possible spies while discussing your punishments.
You are all to remain here while Lord Ienzo casts his magic and until Lady Longbottom has decided where you are and are now allowed to go while under your own forms of House Arrest. However, because I can easily see that some of you are quite wealthy, don't expect those locations to be your own manors."

The groups nod, the traitors amongst them glaring at us with clear desires for murder and part of me feels like telling Ienzo to just freeze them over until we have uncovered the darkness of their crimes and then Lady Longbottom and my mate walk in as the woman says: "I was told I am the new keeper to Lord Malfoy?"
At this Terra nods and he says: "There are simply too many here for us to properly punish them all as they deserve. We believe that those who have committed individual crimes deserve individual punishments, yet we also need to uncover who has done so and who hasn't. We want to punish them, but not when we don't know all."
The woman seems cross with this and then I say: "Do not believe for a second that we are handing them a free pass. We hate each and every person here for their acts and while some of them may have worked to redeem themselves since the Dark Lord vanished, the fact that they are now wearing these garments speaks for itself.
They have not changed, not truly and we wish to prove them beyond fact that we take sincere offence to that. Just sentencing them all to either death or prison will not help us make that statement, especially not if one of them managed to escape prison and become a spy within a vital part of this world, namely the Ministry.

These two groups are criminals, whether they have sworn fealty to the crown and shown their sense of guilt or not and while I believe they have a speck of light within themselves, will I not kid myself with the belief that that light can overcome the darkness they have caused themselves while serving under their master.
They are criminals and they will be punished, however they will be punished accordingly and that takes time." The woman nods at this and then Harry asks: "And what of Voldemort?" To which Riddle says: "He is no more. I am Tom Riddle, not Voldemort. Voldemort was something created by another being controlling me."
This confuses my young mate and the teen says: "When I was opening the Chamber it was in the hopes of finding the Mystical House Chambers of the other three Founders, I had no idea that Myrtle was in the same bathroom as me. When she died I swore I would help her pass on in a passive way, yet I did it with the wrong oath.
You see, the Basilisk is a beast of murder, thus its soul was shattered beyond repair long before I even first found it and while it was unable to speak with me at first, did it suddenly manage this when I made my oath and it took advantage of my oath to embed a peace of its own disgusting vile soul with my own, allowing for it to control me.

I will not say that it was not my mind that learned the spells I did, that it was not my body that strode across the country as it rained war on England or that it was not my wand that cast all the spells that cast the darkness that was the war – however, it was never my soul or my heart that were in agreement with any of those acts.
Yes, my form was my own, however my actions were not." At this the boy nods and then he says: "I slayed the Basilisk in my second. I guess that means that the Darkness of this world has truly been destroyed at last." And while Riddle looks shocked, does he then sigh and say: "At least the darkness of my Ancestor is."
The boy nods and says: "I will not let you get away with what the Basilisk did through your form – I cannot. Your actions may not have been your own, but I just need to look at you and I can tell that you will repeat them if you get the chance. Not to mention that you took something from me that not even my mates can give back.
I will personally preside over your punishment, but know this – it will be one where I will never see you again." And with that does he turn around, yet there was no mistaking the furious determination that shone from his eyes as he said this, nor the noble sense of power that radiated off of him as he again leaves the room.

Well, there you have it,
A lot of crimes have been uncovered – not all, I will admit that – the Death Eaters have been given a bit of a boon, yet not enough that they can consider themselves safe or scot-free, Aqua has finished her first act as Queen of England and Harry has further proven himself as King. And – Pettigrew is just beyond sick.
I will be honest with you all, this story took me the better part of the month to write. At the start I managed to write until the first paragraph of Aqua, but after that it just became nigh impossible for me to continue writing and the rest took me the better part of 3 if not 4 hours. Personally I'm glad this chapter is over with.
See you all,
