NYLON ~ 73 ~ PATIENCE
Spencer sat hunched over Hanna's desk as she finished sketching out the final touches on a new project while Hanna waited patiently to see the result.
"Okay," Spencer said holding it up. "If we change the drapes then we can use that upholstered chair in the living room."
"I like it," Hanna smiled, "but what about the skylight? Can we move it to the dining room?"
"Perfect," Spencer smiled jotting down the notes. "Why didn't we make you partner earlier?"
"I ask myself the same question," Hanna replied.
"Alright," Spencer gathered up her binder and headed for the door, "Toby and I will scope it out today and take some photos to incorporate the new designs. Can you and Caleb cover the Mercer house?"
"Sure thing," Hanna said opening up the Mercer file on her computer as Spencer disappeared.
"Hey," there was a tap on her door and she looked up to see Caleb leaning against the door frame.
"I thought you were in a meeting," Hanna smirked.
"Got back early," he explained striding over to her and sitting on the edge of her desk.
"What's gotten into you?" she asked noticing his odd demeanor.
"I was thinking," his hand rested on her thigh as his fingers slid just beneath her hemline, "we could..."
"Caleb," Hanna gasped. "We're at work."
"Spencer and Toby just left," Caleb kissed her neck. "We have the office to ourselves. Plus, I checked the calendar. You're ovulating."
"I have work to do," she protested.
"Do it later," he pleaded stroking the side of her rib cage.
"Fine," she caved as she stared into his dark eyes.
Hanna stood up pulling Caleb with her. He kissed her neck, then her jaw, slowly working his way toward her mouth but stopping just before their lips touched. Their breath hung stagnant in the air for just a moment before she closed the gap between them. Caleb's hands traveled down to her thighs and then he lifted her into his arms. Hanna wrapped her legs around his waist and he pressed her back against the wall.
"Caleb," she moaned clinging to him while simultaneously holding herself up.
He shushed her and pressed her tightly against the wall as he slowly unbuttoned her shirtdress.
"Fuck it," she tugged at his belt buckle.
"Patience," Caleb replied.
"It took me forever to fasten all these buttons," she snapped at him. "Don't make this harder than it needs to be."
"In that case," Caleb smirked placing a hand on the inside of her thigh.
He slowly stroked her soft skin as she struggled not to lose her grip. His lips lingered along her collarbone as his hand slid further up her thigh.
"Ahh," he sucked in his breath when he found the surprise that waited for him. "Were you expecting this?"
"Maybe," she paused silently thankful that she had opted against underwear this morning. "I just didn't think it would happen at the office."
"I love you," he said in between kisses.
"I love you, too," she laughed making her best attempt to rip off his belt loop.
"Careful," he said moving her hand to finish the job himself, "I have to go back to work today."
"Shut up," she laughed.
"Hold on," he supported her weight with his hands.
Hanna felt him slip inside of her and she let out a soft murmur. Caleb grabbed her arms and raised them above her head pinning them to the wall as he slid in and out. She buckled her hips allowing him in deeper.
"Caleb, fu..." she panted as their bodies slammed against the wall repeatedly until Caleb let out an exasperated sigh and dropped his head against her shoulder.
"Babe," he whispered helping her back on her feet, "we should do that every day."
"We'd never get any work done," she laughed as they sat in a jumbled mess of limbs on the floor.
"Let's play a little hookey," he told her. "I want to take you out to dinner."
"Caleb," she laughed, "what's gotten into you."
"I'm happy," he placed an arm around her. "I guess I've always wanted a stable family and now I'm finally in control of that."
"You know," she pressed her lips to his chest leaving a trail of soft kisses, "it wouldn't hurt to go again. Just in case."
"I guess so," Caleb smirked. "Just to be sure."
"Or," Hanna stopped him, "my mom won't be home with JT for a couple hours. We could..."
Caleb didn't even let her finish. He stood up and slipped his arms underneath Hanna to carry her out the door.
"My purse," she called out.
"Got it," Caleb scooped it up and they both headed into the elevator where he finally placed her firmly on the ground.
"You are totally," she whispered as she slid her hands under his shirt to feel his smooth sculpted chest, "turning me on right now."
"That's kind of the point," Caleb smiled as he led her out of the elevator and into the lobby.
