A life of treasure hunting and adventure, yet Harry still sometimes did not understand how he managed to have enough money to buy himself a private island. He suspected Hermionie Weasley, nee Granger, had something to do with it, but he had not seen his old friend since she became the head of the British Magical Creatures Relations Department.

The island was an open secret in the wizarding world. The magical population knew that the defeater of Voldemort was living in the tropics somewhere, but only one young lady visited regularly enough to warrant knowing the island's location on a map.

Speaking of which, Harry walked down the sandy shore to the small ship waiting beside the weathered wooden dock.

"Great Uncle Harry!" a red headed blur slammed into his chest, nearly capsizing the old captain.

"How is my favorite niece?" he chuckled patting her head. "Is your mother Rose doing all right? How is your Grandpa Ron?"

"Everyone is doing great," she laughed.

Harry looked down at her, proud at the woman he could see her growing into. Green eyes wondered to the ship in the harbor. "And who is it you have brought with you this time dear?"

Before the orange haired girl could answer, a shout came from the ship. "Hey Nina, are you sure you navigated us to the right place?"

The girl, Nina, scowled at the dark haired speaker visible on deck. Harry blinked; was his hair green? No, his eyesight must be going, surely he was just a dirty blonde. "Of course this is the right place! Unlike you, Rory, I have a sense of direction!"

The young man looked ready to yell a response, but a third figure leapt from below deck and tackled him to the shore. Rory gagged through a mouth full of sand, ready to stab his attacker with the wicked looking knife at his hip, but said attacker had already danced out of reach.

Harry blinked at the faded orange hat on the boy's dark locks.

The boy grinned, stretching a crescent scar visible under his eye. "Hey, Nina, come see this cool thing I found below deck!"

Nina smashed a fist against the boy's head. "Can't you see I'm busy right now Lewis?"

"But Nina!" he whined. Dark eyes met Harry's amused gaze, and the boy blinked. "Hey, who's the old man?"

Harry laughed as Nina slammed the boy to the earth with another well placed punch.

"I'm so sorry about this, I'll be sure to get these idiots out of your hair soon," his great niece apologized over the downed bodies of her crew.

The boy who lived grinned widely. "What's the hurry? I have some tea in the kettle, unless you kids want something stronger. You can tell me about all your adventures."

Nina sighed dramatically, even as she and the two boys followed the old man back to his house. "Uncle Harry, you don't know the trouble I've been through with these two knuckleheads! All I want to do is map the magically hidden islands, and they drag me off to an island of killer snakes!"

"It wasn't snakes, Nina," the boy with the hat chided, "They were lizards."

"Poisonous lizards," Rory agreed. "Tasted pretty good though."

"We still need a chief for our pirate crew," Lewis said sagely.

The green haired boy scowled. "We don't need some perverted love cook on the ship. We eat fine."

"Slim Jim is not a balanced diet," Nina groused.

Harry couldn't help the chuckles that escaped his chest. "I'm glad that you have found a good crew to take care of you," he said to his niece.

She grinned. "They would be lost without me."

"Undoubtedly." He turned to look at the young captain. "So, Lewis was it? Where did you get that fantastic hat?"
