A/N: I got to admit, I'm disappointed, not so much in you as myself for not attract more reviewers than I've been able to. It might be therefor I've decided to end this story soon, but it's also because I got an advice from AnUnknownForeignBeauty and it was something I had to think about for some time.

It was the start of the last year of school and everyone seemed excited to be so close to their goal and Eugene, Rapunzel and their friends were no exception. Pascal had been offered a new room mate, but had rejected because he felt home with Eugene and Maximus and Rapunzel and Alice had been able to make some new plans for this year and their place on the cheer squad had really made it easier for them to choose what to take as extra subject for the last year. Eugene and Maximus had decided to go on with soccer and Eugene had been rewarded with the privilege of being new team captain after their right centre back, Danny Goodfield, had graduated last summer and the team needed a new captain and coach McAllister had decided to he was most fit for the challenge. Pascal had been taken in on physics and seemed to be having that as supply to his art lessons and Rapunzel and Alice had gymnastics as extra to keep fit for cheering.

Their holidays had gone on with living together at Maximus' while checking up on their families and working a bit just like they did at last summer and this summer surely seemed to have assured Rapunzel of her safe relationship with Eugene while Maximus seemed to have shown Alice more deeply that they had a thing that was as great as the thing Rapunzel and Eugene had for each other. Pascal still was in the civil status of single, but had found it okay since he had his friends around him and they meant more to him than finding a girl and he had an idea that she might show up soon if he let things come more to him instead of trying to take imitative and seek it out all the time.

Rapunzel and Eugene relaxed over the weekend after the first week of school as was spent at her parents' house because they have asked them to come for some strange reason that neither of them knew exactly what was. They sat up with Rapunzel's parents as they had been told that they'd be told the reason for the asked visit.

"Rapunzel, Eugene, the reason we have asked you two to come over tonight is because as we told you, we got some amazing and unexpected news. Rapunzel, you know that you always have wanted to be a big sister, right?" Rapunzel hoped that this was going the way she thought it was, but waited with a nod and sat in silence holding Eugene's hand.

"We have not seen this coming as we are more than close to 40 years old, but Rapunzel, no the less, your dream is coming true, we are waiting a boy" Rapunzel felt her heart had stopped for a moment as she gained herself again, she just looked at her parents, not knowing if they put on a real bad joke on her or something.

"Really? Is it true?" Rapunzel asked in hope. She had always wanted a sibling under her age, it would feel like she had a child of her own, it was something that she had not discussed a lot with Eugene, but she knew that their chances for a child one day wasn't so far away, maybe close after graduation she hoped. Her parents nodded and Rapunzel jumped around screaming all her joy out of her lungs that seemed endless at this particular time, Eugene she noticed smiled and everyone turned his attention to him. Then her mother asked him something they hadn't even talked about themselves.

"Have you any idea of how many children you'd want Eugene?" he didn't knew what, it wasn't like he was in that faze of his life where he had to think about for good and make a decision about it, but he knew he liked children, he had a wonderful relationship with his little sister and he hoped to have children with Rapunzel some day, but maybe the time seemed like his issue, he didn't knew that at all. Therefore he decided honesty would be the best for all parts, even if it would disappoint Rapunzel.

"To be honest Mrs Henderson, I haven't thought about that, maybe 2, maybe 3, but if we can handle and afford it, I don't see any reason a for certain limit" the honesty was one of Eugene's good sides, but as everyone were silent for some time, he didn't knew how they haven taken what he just said.

"Eugene, first of all, please refer to me as Jack as for my wife, you can call her Anne" Eugene nodded and awaited more since it seemed like his father was going to say more, but instead her mother took over.

"Secondly, I'd sat we both are quite satisfied with your answer, it was true honesty right from your heart and we know it because we went through these things as well on your age and don't worry about anything, we have great faith in you and your relationship with our daughter" Eugene nodded and congratulated them and went upstairs for some rest while he prepared for going back to campus as he discovered that all their friends had already been told by Rapunzel in her need for telling them.

They went back to campus the next morning in Eugene's BMW and parked in his usual spot as he was caught by a reporter asking questions about the first game. He told them they had prepared their tactics and felt ready for defending the title and hoped to graduate and still have it under his arm and Rapunzel around his other arm and then he ran into campus where reporters needed special admission to come in or security would have permission to drag them out or call the police to secure the area.

Many weeks went with many assignments, it wasn't as hard as last year, but many appeared to be tired of school, but still most people kept up knowing that it would all be finished before they'd know of it.

It was close to December and they were now only six months away from graduation, Eugene's family had asked Eugene to invite Rapunzel's parents over after he told them their family weren't coming to celebrate the holidays with them as planned. Eugene called them to let them be asked and happily for not only each other, but for the families who could meet each other at last, it made it able to held Christmas with each other without any of them had to be missing their family.

It was the most joyful Christmas in a very long time for both of them. They decided to take a walk together and talk a little and just being in each other's company and alone.

Rapunzel looked dreamily into Eugene's eyes and he returned the look as they sat down on the same bench that they did a few months ago when Rapunzel had issues about their relationship, now things were extremely different, it seem too perfect to be true, yet it was.

"Rapunzel-"

"Eugene-" they were about to say something at the same time and it was funny the way they hit it at the same time and Eugene let Rapunzel start.

"Eugene, first of all, thanks for one wonderful and beautiful jewel, but also making this Christmas one I shall never forget and not because what I got by antics, but for the company I got from our families, but mot important, from you" she kissed his nose in the cold and he took her into his arms while he was still able to look into her green emerald eyes.

"Rapunzel, first of all, you're the one who makes the jewel beautiful, you not only make clothes and jewels look nice, but you make people around you nice as well, I know from Max and Pascal that they feel that way and I can't imagine Alice doesn't feel that way either or else she might be nuts, but I did this not only because, I wanted to have Christmas with you, but also because I wanted to show you who my love belongs to and who only could be the person I imagine the future with, Rapunzel I can't tell you rightful how I love you, so I'll just say that I love you as good as possible" Eugene then pressed her even closer to him and kissed her passionately and lovely and at the same time he felt tears falling down her cheeks as their cheeks touched each other.

"Are you all right Blondie?" she just nodded since she sniffled at the time.

"Yeah, everything is perfect Eugene, thanks my love, I love you too and I don't have a proper way to show it to you so I'll let my emotion take me and I guess that's why I feel happy tears in my eyes, I want to have you around me for the rest of my life, I can already imagine how wonderful it will be, if you're not with me, I can't live right, I might as well commit suicide or something like that" Eugene was not only flattered, but shocked at the same time.

"Promise me something Rapunzel, I won't take a no for an answer" she nodded at his firm way of talking.

"Even as much as I want to spend my future with you and can't see what should go wrong, I don't want to hear you talk that or even think about such matters if I shouldn't be here, you have way too much to give to do that, I need to know you'll promise me so"

"I promise you Eugene, but I want you to promise me something too" Eugene nodded.

"I want you to promise me to stay faith and loyal to me even if we decide to go different ways with career and such and things keeps us apart" Eugene took her hand, he had seen it some at some points, but it was fair since he had played outstanding and rumours said around campus he had a chance of going professional.

"I promise you that too, I know things might seem difficult, but I can promise you that much"

"Thanks Eugene, I love you"

"I love you too Rapunzel, never doubt that no matter what" she nodded and they decided to go back and join the other for what was left of the evening as Rapunzel's family had gone to sleep while Eugene's had stayed up to make sure the children would get home safely. Then they entered, the rest of them went to sleep and Rapunzel fell asleep with using Eugene's strong chest as her pillow while he held her close to him.

Before they knew it, it was time to get back and finished the last part of this chapter of their life and take a final to know exactly how to plan life with career and such. Eugene and the boys played indoor soccer while the cheerleaders kept training indoor as well and as springs start lay three weeks away, much of campus went excited, not knowing that something would happen to the team captain.

It was the first game and everyone went after the plan and Corona lead by 3 with 8 minutes to go and Eugene got the ball and was about to get it up the goal of Factura that lay 80 miles south of Corona, but he was caught off and everyone went silent as Eugene took his hands to his knee in pain and the players tried to get to the flesh of Factura's no 18 that tackled Eugene very hard from behind and hit him so hard that Maximus wanted to shoot off his head and he was sent off and Eugene was driven away headed for the hospital and everyone was frighten about what had happened to him, but no one as much as Rapunzel who stood silent after the game, not knowing what to say nor what to do. Everything seemed to went black, this could cost Eugene his chance of a professional career, but also his health were at risk. She was not only afraid, but terrified of how things would turn out, but she promised him to hope the best no matter what and she knew he had gone through hard time before, but still there was no rapport after a few days and Rapunzel started to feel depressed, she hoped for an answer soon.

That was it for now. I'm leaving it with a little extra excitement. Thanks for this time and hope to see some reviews. This was the 5th last chapter, there'll be 4 more, can't say when, but I hope to finish the story before the middle of November.
