Hello! I am so so sorry it's been so long since I've updated this story! I just had no inspiration but, it's done now! I need to write for at least two more of my stories but, I have something set for this story so, I have no real idea when I'll update this story. However, it is half term so, you never know! Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!
"Another trek, then?" River said with a soft sigh. She often enjoyed her adventures with the Doctor, but that was mainly because of the endless flirting between the two. She hardly found it appropriate to flirt with him whilst Chloe was with them, especially since she was somehow family.
"Seems so, yeah," the Doctor replied, tasting the snow before spitting it out.
"Snow doesn't tend to taste nice, Doc," Jack pointed out as he observed the Doctor.
"I know that, Jack," the Doctor snapped, concentrated on the snow. "Except it does taste nice on Karadef 3. It tastes of chocolate there."
"Chocolate?" Chloe repeated, before flashing a grin, "That sounds interesting."
"It does, doesn't it? We could go there. A nice day trip."
The teenager giggled. "That sounds good, but we should really find the TARDIS first."
"Yes! Yes! So, where do we start?"
"You tell us," River replied.
The Doctor muttered , humming to himself for a few moments, before grinning. "Artron energy. We scan for artron energy."
"And if that doesn't work?"
"Then, I'll...think of another plan. We'll think of another plan. Three Time Lords and an immortal man." The Doctor grinned. "I'm sure we'll come up with something."
"Let's hope we do..."
The Doctor grinned again, as Chloe pulled out her own sonic screwdriver, setting it to scan for artron energy. The slightly mutated looking sonic whirred as the young Time Lord slowly moved around, trying to find a trace, but having no luck. She stopped after a while and sighed. "Nothing."
"Great," the Doctor stated rather sarcastically, "Ok, new plan...Any ideas?"
A silence hung over them as they all thought, the Doctor rolling his eyes after a while.
"Oh, that's just great, isn't it?"
"Shall we do a human thing?" Jack suggested after a moment of thought.
The other three looked at him both curiously and expectantly, waiting for him to continue.
Jack looked at them with a slight disbelief. All three definitely hadn't spent enough time in the company of humans. "We go find the nearest town or city and see if they know," he added.
"Ah! Yes!" The Doctor agreed cheerfully, almost as if the idea was completely and utterly alien to him. "Yes, yes, yes, yes! That sounds good as a start at least!"
"Yes, that idea sounds lovely dear," River agreed rather unenthusiastically, before countering, "But it doesn't help that this is an uninhabited planet, does it?"
The Doctor and Jack both let out a quiet exclamation of realisation, as Chloe pulled a face as a reaction.
"Any other ideas?" The Doctor asked, his voice showing that he was losing hope.
"Jack has a vortex manipulator," Chloe pointed out. "Where's the nearest planet with highly advanced technology?"
The Doctor hummed quietly, before licking his finger and sticking it into the air. "Tetrahelia. Nearby planet. Should help us out."
"Are they friendly."
"Usually, yes."
"And when they're not?" River asked
"Um...run."
The Doctor smiled rather gleefully at his own remark as River rolled her eyes, clearly not impressed by her husband's remark.
"What's the base code?" Jack inquired as Chloe activated her sonic.
"7 and 8. Coordinates are 12 Level r," the young Time Lord answered.
"Thank you, Chloe," Jack replied rather dutifully, before typing in the coordinates and base code. "Right. Ready. All set?"
Chloe shoved her sonic back into her pocked as the Doctor smiled happily at River, who simply chuckled.
"I think we're all ready now, yeah," Chloe stated, hopping to Jack's side.
The Doctor smiled as they all put their hand on Jack's manipulator. "Geronimo."
The word made Chloe grin and River sigh softly, as Jack chuckled and pressed a button on his manipulator, causing all of them to disappear within a second.
