And I'm back once again! Wow, I'm updating a lot lately. I guess that's what happens when you have a job where you work 4:30 pm to midnight and have nothing to do in the day every day!

PLEASE NOTE: THIS STORY IS BEING RE-WRITTEN SO IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE FIRST CHAPTER AS OF 7/16/14, PLEASE GO READ THAT BEFORE READING THIS CHAPTER. THANKS.

And now, your regularly scheduled crossover.

Edward found himself enshrouded by darkness as he dragged the tattooed kid behind him as he continued to stomp forward into…well…wherever he was going. And what kids get tattoos anyway?! Well, then again he joined the military when he was still a kid so he couldn't really judge but he was too pissed off at the situation to really care at this point.

Aang, the kid's name was apparently if The Truth was to believed (and it really could be because even though it an utter bastard it couldn't lie) just allowed himself to be dragged by the former alchemist silently. Seemed he was too morose to care.

Oh well, at least it was quiet.

It seemed like an endless amount of time before they could see some sort of light up ahead of them and Edward couldn't help but hold his breath as they grew closer. He didn't really know what he was getting into here but it wasn't like he had a choice at this point.

They stepped towards the large archway of light but paused right before it.

"Well, isn't this dramatic." Ed muttered and Aang couldn't help but let out a snort.

"It seems like anything I get involved in tends to become dramatic from being trapped in an iceberg for a hundred years old to find out my people had become extinct and there was a war threatening to overtake the entire world and that I was the only one to stop it." Aang cynically said and the blond looked over at him.

"A hundred years? You look 12."

"That's because I was 12 when I ran away from the monks." Edward stared at Aang before nodding.

"That explains the bald head and tattoos at least." Aang grinned at him.

"Well, most kids don't have the tattoos. I got them because I mastered Air Bending."

"Air bending?"

"You'll see soon enough I guess. You're going to be the new Avatar apparently."

Edward shrugged as they both turned towards the glowing archway and stepped through together.

Meanwhile in Amestris, a large suit of armor and a prince escaped an underground lair mourning the loss of a brother and friend, escaping towards a certain Colonel and his trusty first lieutenant.

A being known only as Father mused in his lair that since once of his sacrifices had perished, he would soon have to procure a new one.

Soon.

Edward found himself surrounded by all sorts of flora, fauna, and what looked to be like chimeras roaming about the jungle. Aang looked perfectly fine with where he was.

"Where exactly are we?"

"The Spirit World. It's where all of the spirits of my world reside. I'm able to come here…" Aang frowned, "Well I was able to come here because I was the Avatar. Now, I guess, it's going to be my home for a while."

The two teens began walking through the underbrush.

"So what exactly is the Avatar? You and the bastard we just ditched kept talking about it but I have no idea what it's supposed to mean." Aang glanced back at Edward before continuing to lead the way through the enormous trees.

"Well, for one, the Avatar is the peace-bringer to my world. They can control all four elements: air, water, earth, and fire unlike the nations where people can only bend one of the four. Not only that, but the Avatar is actually a cycle of reincarnations. So, I had hundreds of past lives before being born as myself as an airbender. There's a cycle where the Avatar is born as a certain kind of bender, like I was an airbender and the Avatar before me, Roku, was a firebender."

The two finally reached a clearing where there was a lake and decided to take a break and they sat down. Edward thought about Aang's explanation.

"So bending is…"

"Bending is a form of martial arts that is used to control the elements around us to use as tools, or in other cases a form of offense or defense against enemies." A voice said and Edward whipped around behind him to see a tall older man with long grey hair and a long beard. He was dressed in all red compared to Aang's orange and yellow robes.

"Roku!" Aang exclaimed and jumped up.

"That fire bending guy you were just talking about?" The former alchemist asked and Roku nodded with a smile.

"It's been quite a while since the universe itself has had to step in to keep the balance. I have to say that you'll gain quite a lot of attention."

Edward frowned. "How so?"

"Well for one your hair." Aang chimed in. "I've never seen anyone who has hair that color before…"

"Really?" Ed was momentarily shocked. That was going to be great to deal with and he didn't have his alchemy to change his hair color to something else. Roku merely looked amused at Ed's distress.

"Appearance aside, we have to complete the joining of you into Avatar cycle so we can begin training."

"Training?" The two younger boys asked and Roku chuckled.

"You don't think Edward can just appear in the world and ask just anyone to teach him every element. As well as you were the last airbender. We may not be able to bend here in the spirit world, but we can start you off on the basics of every element; just enough to get you started and you can always call upon Aang to teach you more of airbending as you travel."

Edward nodded and looked between the two Avatars.

"So what do I do to start?"

"Aang, come here" Aang moved to stand in front of Edward as Roku directed him. "Place one thumb on his forehead and the other in the middle of his chest. What we will be doing is similar to what Avatar Wan, the first Avatar, learned to complete this. It is known as energy bending and as far as I am aware, the Avatar is the only one other than the Lion Turtles able to do it. It usually comes at great risk to the one performing it however Aang, the past Avatars will be helping you to connect Edward to cycle."

Aang nodded and suddenly figures of all different kinds of nations began appearing behind Roku and Aang and Edward watched in awe.

"Now, focus you entire being into the two points and connect yourself to Edward's entire being. Edward, do not fight us or this could go badly." Roku instructed and both teens nodded and looked at each other before Aang closed his eyes and focused.

Edward watched as the ghostly figures seemed to rapidly combine and be absorbed by Aang, including Roku before he suddenly felt a surge of unimaginable power overtake his body and it was all he could do not to scream.

Then, suddenly, blackness overtook him.
