Draco was stunned at the gift Professor McGonagall had given Hermione and him. His baby was alive, if not in the form she was supposed to be in.

"Thinking of animangi," Hermione broke through his train of thought. "Aren't you supposed to be going to Professor Minerva's office for your final lesson?"

Draco nodded, kissed both Hermione and Amber, and left to finally become an animangus himself. After an hour of work, Draco finally transformed.

"Would you like to see yourself?" the Professor asked.

Draco transformed back to himself long enough to answer, "Yes."

Once he was returned to his animal form, Professor Minerva stood a mirror in front of him. What Draco saw caused him to smile inwardly. Draco was a pure white Yorkshire Terrier with silver blue eyes. 'Just like my baby,' he thought.

Draco formed himself back into a human and said, "But my patronis was a ferret."

"It's a rare occurrence, but it does happen occasionally," the teacher replied.

"It's the same animal as what my daughter turned into when Professor McGonagall cast the spell on her."

"What do you mean, Mr. Malfoy?"

"Amber was still born, so when Professor McGonagall found out, she cast a spell that would let her live as the animal her animangus would have been."

Professor Minerva smiled, "Professor McGonagall must really like you two because that is a very taxing spell. It takes a lot of energy to put life into the animal form."

"Then we will have to find a way to thank her. Well, I want to show Hermione my animangus self. Thanks for the help, Professor."

"You're welcome, Mr. Malfoy," she replied as he transformed and left.

Draco padded through the halls till he reached his destination, the Hospital Wing. He ran over to Hermione's bed, and he began barking and jumping up in attempt to get her attention. When Hermione finally looked down, he could see her smile.

"Thought you'd be a little white ferret, Draco," she giggled. "I can't pick you up with Amber in my lap, you'll have to transform to get up here."

Draco went back to being a human and sat on the edge of the bed stroking his daughter's hair. (Yorkies have hair not fur, so don't think oh, but she's a dog, dogs have fur. Yorkies having hair is why they're hypoallergenic.)

"I love you, Hermione," Draco whispered.

Hermione's eyes grew wide, and Draco feared he had scared her off till he heard, "I love you too. I was afraid you didn't feel the same."

Draco smiled, "What would ever cause you to think that way?"

"You've never stayed with any girl, so I thought you'd just walk away from me like you do everyone else."

Draco grimaced at her assumption, "I would never do that to you, Mione."

Hermione smiled, and Draco kissed her deeply.

When they pulled apart, Hermione said, "I think it'd be best if I change too."

"Why?" Draco asked. "It's very difficult."

"Well, if I become an otter like my patronis, it'd be easier to feed Amber."

"It took me nearly nine months to become an animangus, Mione. By then, Amber would be old enough to to eat solid food being a dog!"

"Let's talk to McGonagall. She'll tell us if it's a good idea or not, now I believe Amber's hungry as she's whining," Mione replied, then softened. "Go to bed, Draco. It's late, and you've got class tomorrow."

Draco nodded, bid her goodnight, and left for bed hoping McGonagall wouldn't side with Mione.

Well, two chapters in one day. I'm thinking of having Mione become some sort of dog.
