One more. I hope this one makes sense. I redid it about a dozen times. Enjoy!

"I'm your cousin." With that she turned away and headed to her car that was parked a little further down the street.

Callen stood in shock until Sam placed a hand on his shoulder and jerked him back into the present. He raced after her but she had already gotten into her car and was gone.

"G, she'll meet us at the boatshed." Sam said as he caught up to his friend and steered him to his car.

As Sam drove, Callen realised that he knew Yana. "How do you know Yana?"

"She came to the house the day she got beaten up at Arkady's."

Sam had just tucked his daughter into bed and was about to settle down with Michelle to watch a movie when a frantic knocking came from the door.

"Help me please!" It was a woman's voice and it sounded terrified. While Michelle went to the door, Sam placed his hand on the phone and half dialled the police.

As Michelle opened the door, a woman whose face was swollen and one eye was almost shut fell into the room. "Please help me." Sam's wife helped her to her feet and lead her to the living room as Sam came round and placed a blanket over the tatters of her clothes.

He went back to the phone and as Michelle stepped away to give the frightened woman some space, the woman suddenly stood. Seh pulled a gun from behind her back and pointed it at Sam. "Please, Mr Hannah, put the phone down. I know everything about your partner and that he has family that are still alive. I beg of you, listen to me and the feud that has been haunting him all his life will come to an end at his hand. Please, I need your help."

"Why should we help you? Who are you?" Michelle asked

"Because I am his cousin."

Sam and Michelle looked at each other. Sam was about to ask how but stopped as he just barley managed to catch the gun that the woman had just tossed him. He looked at it for a moment before asking "What's going on? How are you his cousin?"

"His mother and my father were cousins. My name is Yana." She sat down and placed a hand to her head. "Can I trouble you for a glass of water and some painkillers. I had to convince Cal that I would be fine and would call him every hour so he would leave the spot he had parked himself at outside my place."

Michelle looked at her husband before going to get the asked for items. Sam waited for her to return, knowing that she would want to hear this as much as he did.

"Thank you. I can't tell you much other than my father got him and Amy out after their mother was killed. I need you to get out of town for a while. Make an excuse that they won't check into that will last at least another four months. The last of the Comscues is a man named Vasile. I plan on bringing him here in a few months so Callen can end this. But I need your help." She looked at them, as best she could with one eye and hoped they agreed, because she didn't want to go to plan B. Not if she could help it.

"What if we say no?" Sam asked.

"Use plan B to convince you, but I really don't want to unless you give me no choice."

Michelle saw that Yana really didn't want to go to plan B and if it meant helping Callen, she would do it. She gripped her husband's hands and asked "What do you want us to do?"

"As I said, make an excuse and extend your leave. When I call you in a few months, I need you to go to this address and call the ops centre saying that you just recognised a Comscue nearby and trapped him. Cut the connection before you give them the address. It'll be a fake ambush that I need Callen to rescue you from."

"Who'll be shooting at me?" Sam asked. He realised that she had given a hell of a lot of thought to everything.

"A trusted friend. Don't worry, the rounds will be blank and the place will be set up with squibs."

"Who'll Vasille think is shooting at me?"

"A hired gun. And please, don't tell Callen anything about this."

"Anything else I need to know?"

"I'll be shooting you."

Callen looked at Sam. "And just like that, you believed her?"

"She said things that no one else could have known, G."

"Did she say how she was related to me?"

"No, just that she would tell you when it was over."

"She asked you to lie about your mother being in hospital."

"Actually, Mom had to go into hospital for a knee surgery the next afternoon. I managed to get flights booked and got us there in case you rang. She gave me a heads up before you called that day."

The rest of the trip was conducted in silence.

They pulled up next to Yana as she pushed off her car and headed inside.

Callen entered first "How are you my cousin?" He asked as he walked behind Yana. She turned to him and again, he got the feeling that he knew her. "And why do I still get the feeling that I know you from somewhere?"

"My father and your mother were cousins. He got you and your sister Amy off the beach that day." She said as she sat. Callen sat heavily opposite her. "The youngest out of seven children and the only girl, I look just like him."

She sighed and started the story she had wanted to tell him for months, scratch that, years. "My father was Griswold Comscue. He was thirteen when your mother vanished. They had become friends in the fourteen months or so that she was there, despite their age difference. When he next saw her, it was six years later, Amy was eight or nine and you were about four. She was on the beach. He saw two men walking toward her.

They had found out the she was the daughter of the man that had killed several members of their family during the war. He knew what was going to happen and he tried to stop it. He got there too late. He managed to knock out the two men that had killed her before they could kill the two of you.

He succeeded in getting the two of you out of the country and to America. He told me that a man claiming to be your father helped get the two of you out. Because of who he was and what he did, it was better if you went into the foster system, and by erasing part of your name, they would have a hard time finding you, if they managed it at all. When he found out that Amy had died, he was heartbroken. He wished that he could have taken you in, but they would have been looking for that." Yana took the glass of water that Sam offered her and after a drink, she continued.

"I was ten when my father told me everything about you and the feud. He taught me every language, every bit of information he had access to. Had me memorise every face, holding company everything. I was seventeen when Vasille recognised me. I was heading home after finishing work and he asked me who my father was. He was quite shocked when I told him it was Griswold and that he had died the year before."

"Is he dead?" Callen suddenly asked.

"Yes, he died over two years ago, while I was under. I didn't find out until six months later, when I got out."

"Have you been under since you were seventeen?" Sam asked from his perch on the table behind Callen.

"Yes, over ten years."

"Oh my god." They heard Hetty mumble over the coms and the others gasped. They had never met anyone that had been under for that long let alone starting at that age.

"Yana?" A female voice suddenly spoke up from behind them all on the stairs that led to the floor above.

"Mum!" Yana jumped up and raced to woman. She flung her arms around her and started crying. Suddenly there were six other men surrounding the two women and they were all hugging each other and crying.

Callen realised that the others were her brothers and he could see why Yana was the only one that could have pulled it off. None of them looked like her. As he looked over them, he recognised one of them. "You?!" he said in astonishment.

"Hello Agent Callen, so good to see you again." he said.

"G.?" Sam asked.

"You were American military police. You arrested me once outside a bar here in LA when I was with the Army."

"At one point or another, whenever we can, one of us has watched over you. This is Thomas." Yana said as she patted the man that Callen recognised. "Mika, Ryan, Logan, and the twins, Peter and Paul." She patted them in turn. "My mother, Marta, watched you while you were with the FBI; and more recently, since you've been with NCIS, your father."

Everyone froze at that. "You know who my father is?" Callen's voice was almost a whisper, but rose in volume as he asked his next question. "Who is he, where is he?"

"The answer to those questions is right behind you." She pointed to a point behind Callen and Sam.

"I'm so sorry son." Said a voice they all knew so well. So focused on Yana and the story she was telling, that no one had seen him enter. As they all turned to make sure what they heard was correct, the voice continued. "Can you forgive me?" Granger stood in the hallway that led to the front door.

Um, thoughts? I know that their bio's state that Miguel and Chris are only 15 years apart, but again, writers liberty. I know people who are older than they look and I am adding another ten years onto Granger.
