"Why do Thunderclan cats care what happens to my father?" I hissed at the tom and she-cat.
"You're father? He's our father!" the silver and black tom growled at me.
"What?" I frowned, confused.
"You must be our half-brother." the tom muttered.
"Lionclaw is your father?" Rabbitstripe's eyes widened. I turned away from the ThunderClan cats and faced my Clan mates.
"Yes." I mewed, looking my old mentor in the eye.
"He's the son of a traitor!" Graypaw retorted.
"We should never have let him into our Clan!" Mosspool hissed.
"He'll probably betray us, just like his father betrayed ThunderClan!" Blackpaw snarled.
"I knew nothing of my father's treachery until a few sunrises ago. And yet, here I am. I'm still a loyal ShadowClan warrior. I'll fight anyone who thinks I am not." I growled.
"You're not a ShadowClan cat." Blackpaw mumbled but I ignored him.
"Flamestar, I will prove that I am loyal to ShadowClan." I promised.
"I know you will not let me down, Shadow." Flamestar dipped his head. I winced as he used my old name, the name my other had originally given me before I joined ShadowClan.
"Kittypet." Graypaw hissed under his breath.
"Congrats on becoming a warrior!" I turned to see Bluepaw.
"Hi Bluepaw!" I purred.
"Is Lionclaw really your father?" she asked in a low whisper.
"Yes." I nodded.
"I've heard some awful stories about him." she mewed quietly.
"So have I." I sighed.
"You're nothing like him, Shadowclaw." Bluepaw told me.
"I'm glad you think so." I sighed in relief.
"You are a lot like Tigerfrost though." Bluepaw laughed.
"Is that him?" I asked, nodding towards the silver and black tom.
"No. That's Thornfur." Bluepaw shook her head.
"Thornfur, and the she-cat,"
"Tawnyheart." she told me.
"Yeah. Thornfur and Tawnyheart, they are my half-siblings, aren't they?" I asked.
"Yeah. Tigerfrost too." Bluepaw said cheerfully. "Only the difference is that Tigerfrost hates that he's Lionclaw's kin. He thinks cats blame him and his siblings for what their father did." Bluepaw explained.
"This gathering is over!" Flamestar called.
"I've got to go." I told her.
"Okay." Bluepaw shrugged, racing away to find the apprentices from her Clan.
"Hey kittypet!" Graypaw sneered. I rolled my eyes and padded over to my Clan mates.
"I'm sorry about your father." Rabbitstripe said thoughtfully as we padded into the camp.
"Don't be." I said harshly. "He was a murderer and a traitor. He deserves whatever Wolfstar does to him." Without another word I padded towards the warriors den.
