Sasuke
I have to say... It did give me a strange feeling in my chest to have even come to Sakura's house. Despite how much I care for this girl and... All of the above, I knew she couldn't be mine. We came from two different worlds.
Her world being filled with promise and hope.
My world being filled with misery and dread.
It also hurt me to have to had lied in her face... But, my duty is my duty. I just have to hope that she doesn't come to find out... Ever.
Sakura
I sat on the front porch for a good twenty minutes, thinking of all that had happened today. Sasuke and I spent the day together. We baked, laughed, kissed, hung out... All in all, perfect. Just to me.
I let out a sigh, as I watch my mother pull up in the large driveway. She quickly got out and slammed her car door shut, a stern look engraved in her flawless, middle-aged face.
"Sakurako." She says, examining me from head to toe. I quickly stand up.
"Yes, mom?"
"Why are you outside...? And your hair..." She touches a lock of my now frizzy ends. "Why is it so mangled and... disgusting?" She shakes her head, walking past me.
"Ugh. I am going inside to prepare dinner. Please, make yourself presentable."
Later On
"Naruto, what are you doing here?" The last person I expected to see at my house is Sasuke's best friend.
"I kinda' need to talk to you."
"Want to come in?"
"You sure it's okay?" He asks, nervously, glancing around.
"Of course." I grab his hand, leading him inside. Well, it probably isn't okay with my parents, but it is to me. It's not like my parents will suddenly decide to not send Yoshiko away. I'm so tired of pretending... and being afraid of my mom's wrath. This guy is Sasuke's best friend, and he accepts me. I'm sure it wasn't easy for him to come in. If he asks me about Hinata, what do I say? She swore me to secrecy.
"Who is at the door, Saku?"
"This is Naruto." I explain to my mom. "He's a friend of mine from school."
"Dinner's on the table," my mother hints, not too subtly. "Tell your friend it's not polite to visit during dinner hours."
I turn to Naruto. "Want to eat over?" I'm being rebellious and it feels good. Cathartic.
I hear my mom's footsteps stomping to the kitchen.
"Uh, no thanks," Naruto says, stifling a laugh. "I thought maybe we could talk, you know... about Sasuke."
I don't know if I'm relieved he's not asking about Hinata, or if I am nervous because if Naruto came here, it is serious...
I lead Naruto through the house. We pass Yoshi in the family room looking at some magazines, as usual. "Yoshi, this is Naruto. He's Sasuke's friend. Naruto, this is my sister, Yoshi."
At the mention of Sasuke's name, Yoshi gives a happy squeal.
"Hey, what's up, Yoshi," Naruto says.
She smiles wide.
"Yoshi-Chan, I need you to do me a favor." Yoshiko bobs her head in response as I whisper, "I need you to keep mom occupied while I talk to Naruto."
She grins, and I know my sister will come through for me. My mom pops into the room, ignoring me and Naruto as she wheels Yoshiko into the kitchen. I look at Naruto warily as I lead him outside so we can have privacy from eavesdropping mothers.
"What's up?" Naruto ruffles his fingers through his blonde hair before licking his lips and nervously replying, "Sasuke needs help. He won't listen to me. A big drug deal is goin' down and Sasuke is the key guy running the show!"
I am silent before quickly saying, "Sasuke wouldn't so a drug deal... He promised me."
The look on Naruto's face tells me that he knows otherwise.
"I tried to reason with him," Naruto says. "This thing... it's big-time dealers. Something doesn't feel right about it, Sakura. Tobi's making Sasuke do this and for the life of me, I have no fucking idea why! Why Sasuke?"
"What can I do?" I ask, biting my bottom lip. "Tell Sasuke to find a way out. If anyone can get out of it, it's him."
I gulp. Tell him? Sasuke resents being told to do anything. I can't imagine he would agree to do a drug deal.
"Sakura, your dinner is already cold!" my mother yells from the kitchen window. "And your father just got home. Look up at the sky. It's already dark. Let's sit down as a family for once."
The sound of crashing dishes brings my mother back in the house. Yoshi's brilliant move, no doubt. But it really isn't her job to keep me from telling my parents the truth.
"Wait here," I say. "Unless you want to witness a Haruno family argument." Naruto rubs his hands together.
"This has got to be better than my family fights." I walk into the kitchen and give my dad a peck on the cheek.
"Who's your friend?" He questions, warily. I point to Naruto and then point to my dad. "Naruto, this is my dad. Dad, this is Naruto."
Naruto waves. "Hey."
Dad nods. Mom grimaces.
"Naruto and I need to go."
"Where?" my dad asks, totally confused. "To see Sasuke."
"No you're not," my mom sternly says.
My dad holds up his hands, clueless. "Who's Sasuke?"
"That other Uchiha boy I was telling you about." my mom says tightly. "Don't you remember?" My dad touches his head and lets out a sigh. "I don't remember anything these days."
My mom stands, her plateful of food in her hand, and tosses it into the sink. The dish breaks and foods flies all over. "We've given you everything you want, Sakura." my mother says. "A new car, designer clothes-"
My patience snaps. "That's really superficial, mom. Sure, on the outside everyone sees you guys as successful, but as parents, you guys are the worst and need a shit ton of work and practice. I'd give you both a C-minus on parenting and you're lucky it isn't Ms. Tsunade grading you or you'd flunk. Why are you afraid of being seen as having problems like the rest of the world?!"
I'm on a roll, and I can't stop! "Listen. Sasuke needs my help. One of the things that makes me who I am is the loyalty that have to people I hold close to my heart. It that hurts you, or scares you, I am sorry," I say.
Yoshiko makes a commotion and we all turn to her. "Sakura," comes a computer voice from the PCD attached to my sister's wheelchair. Her fingers are busy punching in words. "Good Girl." I wrap my fingers around my sister hand before I talk to my parents again.
"If you want to kick me out, or disown me for being who I am, then do it and get it over with." I'm done being scared. Scared for Sasuke, Yoshiko and myself. It's time to face all of my fears, or I'll lose myself in grief and guilt my entire life. I'm not perfect. It's time the entire world realizes it, too.
"Mom, I'm going to see the social worker at school."
My mom scrunches up her face in disgust. "That's asinine. It'll be in your school records for the rest of your life. You don't need a social worker."
"Yes, I do." I steel myself and add, "You do, too. We all do."
"Listen to me, Sakura. If you walk out that door..." my mom pauses and sighs quickly. "Don't come back."
"You're being rebellious," my dad interjects.
I nod. "I know. And it feels so good." I grab my purse. It's all I have, unless you count the clothes on my back. I put a huge smile in my face and hold my hand out to Naruto. "Ready to go?"
He doesn't miss a beat and he takes my hand. "Yep." When we're in his car, he says, "You're one tough chick. I never thought you had the fight in you." I turn to look him in the eye.
"Naruto, there is alot that you don't know."
He drives to the darkest part of Konoha. He leads me to a large warehouse on a secluded back road. As if Mother Nature is sending us a warning, menacing dark clouds fill the sky and a chill fills the air.
A burly guy stops us. "Who's the fair girl?" He asks.
Naruto says, "she's clean."
The guy eyes me up and down suggestively before opening the door. "She starts sniffin' around and it'll be your head, Naruto," he warns.
All I want to do is take Sasuke away from here, away from what feels like danger all around. "Hey," a gravelly voice from beside me calls out. "If you want something to pick you up, come to me, okay?"
"Follow me," Naruto says, grabbing my arm and pulls me straight ahead through a corridor. Voices come from the opposite side of the warehouse... Sasuke's voice.
"Let me go to him myself," I whisper, trying my best not to shake.
He stops me. "That's not a hot idea. Wait until Tobi's done talking to him," Naruto says, but I don't listen. I walk towards Sasuke's voice. He's talking with two other guys. They're obviously having a serious conversation. I peak through a glass window leading into another room, and I can see and hear everything that is going on.
"Here is the pick up time." The one with the orange mask says. He pulls out a sheet of paper and hands it to Sasuke. That's when Sasuke notices me.
Sasuke says something that I cannot hear, before folding the paper and shoving it into his jean pocket. He exits out the room and walks up to me, grasping my hand and dragging me away from the room. His voice is hard and tough like his expression right now. "What the hell are you doing here, Pinkie?!" he whispers furiously to me, staring me in the eye.
"I just-"
I can't finish my sentence because Sasuke grabs hold of my upper arm. "You just are leaving here this instant. Who fucking brought you here?"
I'm trying to think of a response when Naruto appears out of the darkness.
"Sasuke, please. Naruto might have brought me here, but it was my idea."
"You dick!" Sasuke says, letting go of me while facing Naruto.
"Is this your future, Sasuke?" Naruto asks, glancing around. "Why are you so ashamed to show your girlfriend your home away from home? Is this what you want? You'd rather deal drugs than be happy and have a good life?"
Sasuke throws a punch, connecting with Naruto's jaw. Naruto goes down, holding his jaw. I run to him, then give Sasuke a sharp, warning look. "I can't believe you did that!" I scream. "He's your best friend, Sasuke."
"I dont want you seein' this place!" A trickle of blood streams down Naruto's mouth. "You shouldn't gave brought her," Sasuke says, calmly this time. "She doesn't belong here."
He turns away from him.
Naruto crawls to Sasuke, grabbing his ankle and spitting blood from his mouth. "Neither do you, bro." Naruto says quietly. Sasuke shrugs his ankle out of Naruto's grasp. "Now take her away. She's seen enough."
"Come with me," Sasuke orders, holding out his hand.
Instead of coming to him, I cup Naruto's face with my hands and inspect damage. "My God, you're bleeding," I say starting to freak out. Blood is enough to make me sick. Blood and violence always pushes me over the edge.
Naruto gently pushes my hand away. "I'll be fine. Go with him."
A voice booms from the darkness, speaking to Sasuke and Naruto.
I shiver at the authority in the guy's voice. I wasn't scared before, but I definitely am now. The guy had been talking to Sasuke earlier. He's dressed in a dark suit with a stark white dress shirt underneath. I saw him briefly at the wedding. His jet black hair is spiked and an orange mask is covering over his face. One look at him and I know this is someone very powerful in the Uchiha clan. Two large, mean-looking guys stand on either side of him.
"Nothing, Tobi." Sasuke and Naruto says in unison.
Sasuke takes my hand and hurries me out of the warehouse. When we're finally outside, I exhale deeply.
Sasuke
"Let's get out of here. You and me, Pinkie. Let's go!"
I breathe a sigh of relief as I straddle Sasu and Sakura hops on behind me. She wraps her arms around my waist, holding on tight as I speed out the parking lot.
We fly through the streets; which eventually becomes a blur. I don't even stop when rains starts pouring down.
"Can we stop now?" she yells through the deafening storm.
I park under an old abandoned bridge by the lake. Heavy rain pounds the cement surrounding us, but we have our own secluded place.
Sakura hops to the ground. "You stupid jerk!" She yells. "You can't deal drugs. It's dangerous and stupid, and you promised me. You'll risk going to jail! Jail, Sasuke! You may not care, but I do. I won't let you ruin your life."
I am silent. What does she want to hear? What can I tell her?
She pounds a fist on my chest. "Sasuke, you told... You told me that things wouldn't be like this! I care for you! I-I..."
"What do want to hear?" I blurt out, interrupting her.
"Nothing..." She shakes her head. "Everything. Say something so I don't stand here feeling like a complete idiot."
"The truth is... Sakura look at me."
"I can't," she says as she stares at the pouring rain. "I am so tired of thinking of every worst scenario whenever I look or glimpse at you..."
I pull her against me.
"Don't think, Pinkie. Everything will work itself out."
She stares into my eyes. "But-"
"No buts. Trust me." My mouth closed over hers. The smell of rain and cookies eases my nerves.
My hand braces and caresses the the small of her back, as I continue to kiss her. Her hands grip my soaked shoulders, urging me down. She allows me to slide my hands under her shirt, my fingers trace her belly button.
"Come to me," I say, then lift her until she's straddling me over my bike.
I can't stop kissing her. I whisper how good she feels to be, mixing Japanese and languages with every sentence. I move my lips down her neck and linger there until she leans back and lets me take her shirt off. I can make her forget about all of the bad stuff. When we're together like this, hell, I can't think of anything but her.
I stare down at her gorgeous mounds, using my tongue to graze over them. She softly moans, "I'm losing control." Sakura bites her lower lip. I love those lips.
"Pinkie, I've already lost it," I say, grinding against her so she knows exactly how much control I've lost.
She moves her hips in a slow rhythm against me, an invitation I don't deserve. My fingertips graze her mouth. She kisses them before I slowly slide my hand down her chin to neck and in between her breasts.
She catches my hand. "I don't want to stop, Sasuke."
I cover her body with mine.
I can take her easily. Hell, she's asking for it. But God help me if I don't grow a conscience.
It's that crazy bet I made with Deidara.. And what my mom said about how easy it is to get a girl pregnant.
When I made this bet, I had no feelings for this complex girl with pink hair. But now... shit, I don't want to think about my feelings. I hate feelings; their only good for screwing up someone's life. And may God strike me down right now because I want to make love to Sakura, not fuck her on my motorcycle like some cheap whore.
I move my hands away from her breasts, the first sane thing I have done tonight. "I can't take you like this. Not here." I say, my voice hoarse from emotion overload. This girl was going to gift me with her body, even though she knows who I am and what I'm about to do. The reality is hard to swallow.
I expect her to be embarrassed, maybe even mad. But she curls into my chest and hugs me. Don't do this to me, I want to say. Instead I wrap my arms around her and hold on tight.
"I love you," I hear her say so softly, that it might have been her thoughts.
Don't, I'm tempted to say. No! No! No!
My guts twist and I hold her tighter. Oh God, if things were different I'd never give her up. I burrow my face in her hair and fantasize about stealing her away from Konoha.
We stay that way for a long time, long after the rain stops and reality sets in. I help her off my motorcycle so she can out her shirt back on.
Sakura looks up at me, a hopeful look on her face. "Are you going to do this drug deal?"
I get off Sasu and walk over to the end of the tunnel. Sticking my hand in the water still dripping down the sides, I let the cold water fall through my fingers.
"I've got to," I say back to her.
She steps beside me. "Why? Why do you have to do something that might end up with you in jail?"
I put her soft, pale cheek in my palm and give her a wistful smile. "Didn't you know gang members deal drugs? It's apart of the job."
She shrugs her shoulders. "So quit. Surely there's some way..."
"You want to quit, they give you a challenge. Sometimes it's torture, sometimes a beating. If you live, you get out. Let me tell you, Pinkie, only once I have seen someone come out of a challenge alive. The guy still wishes he was dead, he got beat up so bad. God, you'll never understand. My family needs this!"
"For the money?"
My hand leaves her. "No not for the money." I throw my head back and wince in frustration. "Can we please change the subject?"
"I'm against you doing anything illegal."
"Pinkie, you need a saint. Or at least a minister. And I am neither of those. "
"Aren't I important to you?"
"Yes."
"Then prove it to me."
I pull off my bandana, then rake my fingers through my hair. "Do you know how hard it's been for me? My mother expects me to protect the family being an Uchiha but is in total denial. My father appointed me, the second oldest, as man of the house... I have to constantly look out for my older and younger brother. Tobi wants me to prove I'm dedicated to the clan, and you... the one person who I feel like I can start a life with some day, you want me to prove I love you by doing somethin' that could put my family in danger. I have to do this, you know. And nobody, not even you, is gonna' change my mind."
She covers her mouth, looking at the ground. "You'll risk what we have?"
"Dammit, don't do this. We don't have to risk anything."
"If you start dealing drugs, it's... it's over. I've jeopardized everything for you... for us. My friends. My parents. Everything. Can't you do the same?"
I toss my jacket to her when her teeth start chattering. "Here. Put this on."
And that's it. This is my life. If she can't handle it, she can go back to Hidan or whoever she can mold into her own Ken doll.
She tells me to take her to her friend Ten-Ten's house. "I think we should work separately on the chemistry project," Sakura says. She hands me my jacket back when we reach the big house on the beach. "Do you want to put the hand warmers together or would you rather write the paper?"
"Whatever you want."
"Well, I am a pretty good writer..." she quietly trails off.
"Fine. I'll do the rest." I revv the engine.
She stops me. "Sasuke, it doesn't have to end like this!"
I watch as tears well in her eyes. I've got to get out of here before they start falling down her face. They will definitely be my undoing.
"Yeah, it does." I say, then drive off.
Sorry that I had to leave it off like this and cause suspicion on fans and readers. So sorry, buy this isn't the end!
I wanted to update a day before my birthday~ tomorrow :3, and reviews would be an EXCELLENT present from fans, not to mention some more favorites and follows as well ;3 Just teasing you guys, but I hope you all continue to watch out for the next update.
How did you all like this chappie? Well... Bad question to ask. Let me just say, what did you think?
Thanks For Reading!
So, another question before we wrap up this A/N. About the lemon/Smut/Expicit Scene, much more than you all read just now, do the fans and readers want that?
YES? OR NO?
I didn't get much of a count the last time I asked and I need a definte answer from those who feel like their opinions in this story matters, because before I update next. I MUST KNOW. I can't update without a count or an answer, because your opinions matter to me. Majority rules though, so if majority says no, then this will stay rated T. If majority says yes then this will change to an M Rated story and there will be a lemon.
Tell me now!
