The House of Hades destroyed my plot!

That's why the update was later than usual. I had it all planned out, but I had to rewrite it. That's why this chapter rushes through the events. I'm pointing out that the story is kind of supposed to be… complex. It's building up tension until everything comes crashing down, which will happen very, very soon.

I Own My Plot and My OCs.

Bart said he wanted to spend Christmas with friends. Really, it was because he was embarrassed of what he had done on the Watchtower and he didn't want to face family. Bart had been sent straight to bed, while Barry talked to Jay and Joan. Bart closed his eyes and fell into dream.

In the dream, Bart was standing in Maggie's living room. No one was there, so Bart walked around. He felt weird. It was like someone was pulling him. He walked over to the bookshelf. One shelf was titled "Howard's Heroes". There were three pictures. One was a picture of nine teenagers. One girl looked like Maggie. The others were three girls and five boys. On the bottom it said "The Seven plus Nico and Morgan". The one next to it said, "Cadmus and Europa". The picture showed ten-year-old versions Maggie and Cadmus sitting on the edge of a dock. The last picture was of a teenage boy sitting on the hood of a car drinking a milkshake. It looked like a scene out of the 1950s. The caption said "Alabaster on the road".

Bart heard noise coming from upstairs. There were people coming down. He tried to run and hide, but he didn't in time. Luckily for him, no one saw him. The people were Maggie, Cadmus, Zatanna, and Alabaster. They were arguing. Zatanna stormed over to were Bart was standing. She waved her arms through Bart. "Are you insane?"

Cadmus walked over, "Zat, we can say no, but he's kind of all-powerful."

Alabaster placed a hand on Maggie's shoulder. "Hey, we all had to do it."

Maggie slapped him. "All of us? He never questioned you."

"'Cause everyone said I'm his favorite, little sis."

"No, it's 'cause ya never dated anyone! And he said that ten, twenty years ago. And didn't he say he like Morgan more than-."

"Semantics, my dear sister."

"Do you even what semantics are?"

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

Cade slammed his fist into the wall, "Both of you shut up! I can't take it and I'm a pacifist!"He walked into the kitchen.

Zatanna exhaled, "We just need to calm down and think. He's coming in a little more than five days. Cadmus, stop eating your Christmas Breakfast." Zatanna hadn't turned yet she knew the boy found food. He was a creature of habit.

Cadmus muttered something about stupid sisters and brother. The three glared at her. "I heard that!"

Alabaster smirked, "Some pacifist."

Cade glared at his half-brother. "Shut up."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

Maggie looked at Zatanna, "What do I tell him?"

"Tell him the truth, but make him think you're lying."

Maggie paced, "But, do I have to? He could tear him to shreds. But fine! I hate my life, both halves!" She stormed off and The dream ended.

Jaime was mad about what Bart had done. Jaime walked into the house and found a cup of hot chocolate with his name on it; literally. The note also said for him to go to bed. He was so tried, he didn't make it. Jaime spent Christmas on the sofa.

In his dream, two hooded girls walked down a dark street. One was shorter than the other. They walked over to an apartment that he recognized from the celebrity magazines as Percy Jackson and his family's. The taller girl knocked on the door. A younger version of Andromeda Jackson opened it. She looked about ten. This would be around the age her parents and their friends became rich. She smiled when she saw the taller girl. "Aunt Thalia!" She hugged her. The taller, whose name Jaime guessed was Thalia, said, "Can we see Annie?" Andromeda nodded.

She led them into the family room. Three young boys were playing in the family room. The older one was playing on a laptop. The younger two was playing with a train set. The boys looked up from the trains, "Who's that?" Thalia took off her hood. She was a teenager with black hair and a silver crown on her head. "Aunt Thalia!" the boys ran to hug her. She laughed, "Hey, Luke, Nutmeg."

Luke looked at the other girl, "Who's that?"

The other girl took off her hood. Luke stared at her. He couldn't really form full sentences. Nutmeg got on his knees and started bowing. "Lady Artemis! I am not worthy. I am not worthy." Jaime's dream self laughed. Then he paused. Artemis. He remembered in the Titan's Curse, Rachel Jackson played Artemis, Nutmeg Underwood played Grover, Luke played Percy. The boys had the same reactions now as they did in the movie. Now that he thought about it, this Thalia looked a lot like Amore Grace, who played Thalia Grace in the movies. This Thalia and Amore look very similar. Was it possible this teenager was the Thalia Grace? No, it was impossible. Connor Stoll said in an interview that all the character he used in the movies were from when they were teenagers. That would mean that Thalia Grace was the same age as them, not 20 years younger.

Jaime heard footsteps. Annabeth Jackson walked over to them. She looked a few months pregnant. "Thalia, it's good to see you."

"You're right, Annie. It is good to see me."

Annabeth bowed her head to Artemis. "Lady Artemis. This is a surprise."

Artemis nodded, "A pleasure to see you Annabeth. I see you are with child." Jaime stared at her. With child, who talks like that nowadays?

Thalia jumped up and down. "Can I see Thalia? I bet she looks like me."

In the shadows, a deep voice said, "Pinecone Face, you know she was only named after you? If you want a clone, go ask Jason to name a daughter after you. But trust me, she is just like you: she won't leave Annabeth alone." Thalia walked over and slapped Percy across the face. Then the two of them started laughing, almost like siblings. The four of them walked upstairs and the dream changed.

Jaime opened his eyes and saw an angel. Maggie helped him up. "Sorry, I'm new at the walking-in-on-people's-dreams-to-influence-their-f utures-thoughts-and love-life-thing thing and I said thing twice. Listen Jaime, I need you to help me. There's a big problem."

"What is it? Future, thoughts, or my love life?"

"Kind of all three." She placed her hands on his shoulders. "The Head of our magic clan-thing, who also happens to be my great-grandfather, wants to meet you." She said all that in one breath.

One Mississippi.

Two Mississippi.

Three Mississippi.

Jaime stared at her. "One question… Did you get your powers from him?"

Maggie put her hands in her pockets. "Well, my because-of-birth-I'm-a-freak-powers?" He nodded. "Yeah, pretty much."

He didn't want to ask about the pretty much part. "Umm, follow up question: Is he crazy in any way, shape, or form?"

"Actually, his patron is the Greek goddess Hecate."She really wasn't lying. "And if she doesn't like you, she may kill you." That wasn't lying.

Jaime stared at her, "Translation?"

"Hecate's the goddess of magic, mostly dark magic; the crossroads; and obscurity." She said again is one breath.

"Okay, so when do I meet him?"

"At mine and Cade's sixteenth birthday dinner. It's some sort of magic tradition thing."

"Your birthday's in like five days! Couldn't you have given me more notice?"

Maggie shrugged, "Sorry, but I'm kind of afraid of him. So will you come?"

Jaime looked at Maggie. "Is this even optional?"

"Not one bit." She said with a smirk.

"Fine, I'll come."

Maggie squealed and hugged him. "Thank you."

Blue Beetle flew towards Maggie's open window. He felt like Peter Pan. He flew in to the window and the armor vanished. Maggie sat on the bed. She had on a black dress with lacy black flower designs covering her arms and legs. She walked over to the door and he followed. They walked down stairs and greeted the guests. Maggie pulled Jaime towards two people. The boy was a male version of Maggie. It was very clear that they were twins. His "date" was a blond girl in a dress similar to Maggie's, but it was silver. "You know Cade. This is my best friend Helia."

Zatanna walked over to them with Dick Grayson. Morgan, Esperanza, Alabaster, and Howard came as well. Howard nodded, "He's waiting." They all walked into the dining room.

They sat at the table. Arthur Sorcellerie sat at the head of the table. Cade sat on left. Maggie sat on the right. Jaime sat next to her. Helia sat next to Cade. Zatanna and Dick sat next to her, and Esperanza, Morgan, and Alabaster sat across from them. Howard sat at the end of the table. Arthur and the four siblings were in the middle of a conversation. How are you four doing?

Great, sir.

How are you getting along?

Great, sir.

How is school going?

Great, sir.

Do they know anything about you?

No, sir.

Are you listening to me at all?

No, sir.

Arthur decided a new approach. "So, Jaime," Everyone saw Maggie flinch. "How did you meet Maggie?"

Cade and Helia started a side conversation about Helia's bracelet. They clearly didn't want to join the other conversation. Jaime glanced at Maggie asking a silent question. Help me? She didn't respond. He coughed, "Well, umm, Miss Lance, her therapist, is my umm therapist."

Arthur nodded, "Yes, Dinah has helped Maggie so much in the past few years." Cade, Zatanna, and Alabaster glanced at each other. The silently prayed, Maggie please don't.

This was a test for Jaime, but Maggie is the deciding factor. If she reacted, she blows their chances. Arthur started up again. "How's school going? Cadmus said you were making friends."

Maggie stared straight at Cade. Her fork began to bend due to mysterious reasons. She hissed, "We are."

Jaime placed his hand on her knee. He felt vibrations from her foot taping.

There was a ding from the kitchen. Everyone but Arthur, the twins, Jaime and Helia ran to the kitchen. Cade kicked his sister under the table. Maggie dropped her bent fork in surprise. He muttered, "I'll get it." He climbed down. The others came back with food. Helia handed Cade his plate, because he was now hiding under the table. "Hail the conquering hero." Esperanza muttered at that.

Dinner was full of conversations about why Cade was hiding under the table.

After dinner Alabaster said, "Let's have dessert while we open presents." Everyone walked over to the living room. Cade bumped his head coming up from the table. Maggie and Jaime walked into the living room. Maggie hissed, "One conversation, and my heroic twin flees to under the table."

They sat down with the others. Cadmus reached over and picked up a big present. "From Alabaster, to the twins." He opened the box. Inside was a smaller box. This method continued for ten more boxes. Cade got down to a ring-box. He opened it and unfolded a white sheet. Written in gold string, it read Happy Sixteenth Birthday, Cadmus and Europa. At the bottom was a gold ram. Helia, Cade, Maggie, and Esperanza laughed. All the adults, even Arthur, smiled. Maggie muttered, "My middle name is Europa."

Jaime smirked, "Didn't Europa die in the myths?" She nodded.

Next present was from Howard. Maggie opened the box and laughed. Inside were two copies of Road to Death by Howard Claymore. Next was from Helia and her family. It was a guitar for Maggie and a keyboard for Cade. Morgan gave them their presents from Leo and the boys. It was a gold bracelet for Cade and a silver necklace for Maggie. Zatanna gave them some spellbooks. Dick gave Maggie and Cade matching black jackets. Finally, Arthur gave his presents to the twins. First he handed Cade a reasonably sized box. He opened the box and a parrot climbed on his head. "I think it's angry."

Esperanza nodded, "You can see it in its eyes."

Jaime looked at Cade, "I think Cade can feel anger going down his neck." The demigod froze as something cold went into his shirt.

Maggie laughed before opening hers. When she did, she smiled. It was a puppy. "I'm naming him Zachary Zatara." Zatanna and Dick smiled.

Esperanza tilted her head, "Let's call him Zee-Zee. He looks like a Zee-Zee."

Arthur stood up. "It is always good to know my family members reach sixteen… And that they haven't tried to murder each other with wooden planks, again." He glared at Morgan and Alabaster. The two looked everywhere but him. "I'll see you all soon." His form began to glow white. Everyone but Jaime looked away. For the first time this evening, the scarab spoke, "Unknown Energy."

Maggie leaned over to him. They kissed and, of course, he fainted.

I was inspired to make Jaime faint because our English class just read the Inferno, Dante faints after every chapter, and I really wanted to have a character faint for no rhyme or reason.
