Soap, Ghost and Michael sat in their General´s little office and waited for the old man to finally show up and explain why they were here. As Soap and Ghost found their superior minutes before, talking to another man, he told them to wait for him at his room. They didn´t even ask him that they wanted an explanation from him, the General must have known what they wanted.

Soap couldn´t help but remember the General´s straight face as he met him, Mac didn´t show any emotion at all and his voice was stern as always. Soap wondered if the General wasn´t afflicted that his spouse almost got killed and was in a bad condition right now. Or that he was responsible for the nurse´s death or the capture of two members of his team. The General must really be a hardened soldier, a soldier who saw so much pain that his mind shuts down every time something terrible happens. Sure this was a good way to handle with all the awful impressions they saw throughout the war but if you also lose the ability to feel something for the people you love, you also lose your humanity.

Ghost led out an annoyed sigh, all three of them sat there in silence, waiting for their lovely General to finally man up and explain his actions. Sure the General already tried to convince him that he didn´t want to put anyone in danger with his actions but to Ghost this was just a lame excuse. The General thought Ghost would understand him, saying that he should know the best what a man would do to protect his family, he said Ghost would have acted the same way if he could have saved his family. Ghost shook his head; the General knew that the loss of his family was Ghost´s weak point and he was more than sure that the Lieutenant still suffered. But no one has to be Sherlock Holmes, to recognize that Ghost was afflicted by his family´s loss, why else did he have the nightmares about his family, nightmares in which his mother blamed him for her dead, nightmares where his little nephew Josef stood in front of him with a distorted, blood covered face and told him he should have been the one to die, not him. And that he hid his face behind a mask, made it sure to everyone, that his mind was fragile, that he was a psycho, unable to enjoy the beautiful sides of life. And for those who didn´t realize he was a broken man, one look into his eyes made it sure, his eyes were dead and so was his inside. Sure Ghost kept pretending that he was fine but he wasn´t and he knew that even Angela and Julia knew that, even the two girls, who made him feel like he had deserved to keep on living, knew that he was in a critical mental state. However Ghost knew that he needed to focus, he never let his destroyed personality take over him when he was on a mission.

The third man, Michael sat between Ghost and Soap with his arms crossed and his gaze turned towards the clock, watching the slowly movement of the sweep hand. He had nothing on his mind and was glad for it. He had thought enough for the past hours and now he really enjoyed the silence. He didn´t mind that the General hadn´t showed up yet, to be honest, he didn´t want the man to show up. Looking into his face would only bring the memories of the loss back. The memories of her dead body in his hands, her wide opened eyes, the bullet hole in her head. The uncomfortable lack of her breathing and her heartbeat, the slowly fainting of her body temperature and her unmoving body. His frantically shouting at her to talk to him, Daniel´s hand on his shoulder as he tried to pull him away from her to take cover, the shocked expression on Archer´s face as MacTavish yelled into the phone, the fainting sound of the plane, Makarov was in, the cold laugh of a woman, clearly satisfied that they killed her. His disability to share a single tear for her, even if his stomach knotted uncomfortable and his eyes burned. He couldn´t cry, he needed to be strong, he needed to focus, he needed to lead his team, he needed to work. And now he was here, waiting for the man he thought he could trust with his life, the man he thought would protect his team, protect the girls. The General really made him believe that he would do anything to keep the girls out of danger, he even split up his team, as Julia put herself in danger in Prague. But now all this didn´t matter anymore, he broke his promise to the girls, he didn´t protect them anymore, he just wanted to save his own arse.

As the door to the office opened slowly all three men took a look and were surprised to see who was with the General.

"How you´re feeling?" Angela asked as she sat next to Julia on her bedside.

The short haired nurse let out a groan and kept her eyes closed, she didn´t feel very well. As soon as the Army Ranger has showed her where she could sleep Julia laid herself down in the bed, pulled the blanket over her and closed her eyes, trying to get some sleep. She hasn´t felt that sick for a long time and she wondered if she had herself infected with some sort of bad disease. Her head felt like it was going to explode anytime, her stomach hurt like hell and her whole body was weak. First she thought the pain would go away as soon as she was out of the pave low but it got worse every hour.

"You should go and see a doctor." Angela continued and watched how Julia slowly moved around and opened her eyes to face her.

"Would´ve but I´m too weak to get up." Julia answered and closed her eyes again, feeling like she was going to throw up every second.

"I can get Paul to check on you." Angela offered and stood up from the bed to get the trash can that was in the corner of the room.

She walked back and placed it beside the bed before she turned around and opened the door to get the medic. Angela had closed the door as she heard weird noises from inside Julia´s room and knew that her friend was really sick. Taking a deep breath Angela started to walk through the corridors, in search for Paul, if she was right he was in the infirmary and checked on her other teammate. Somehow Angela was glad that she could escape from Makarov but she also was sure that this was all part of Makarov´s plan, the man was too good organized, to let her escape so easily and after what the General had told them minutes ago, Angela knew that from now on everything would become more worse then she had ever imagined.

As Angela was in front of the infirmary her eyes got caught from an Army Ranger, who was sitting on a chair beside the door and looked through a first aid kid. Wondering if the man was a medic too, Angela watched him in his doing and as he closed the first aid kid again, she cleared her throat and the Ranger looked up at her. Angela could tell by the look he gave her that he was surprised to see a woman in front of him, his eyes were wide open and his mouth, which he had opened slightly now turned into a smirk, as he shot up from his chair and offered her a handshake.

"Nice to see you miss." The man stated and kept on smirking as Angela took his hand to shake it.

"Name´s Angela." She introduced herself with a smile.

"Angela? That name fits you perfect. I´m Ryan, Ryan Dunn." The blond haired man told her and removed his hand from hers.

"Nice to meet you Ryan, can I ask you something?" Angela questioned and as an answer the man nodded.

"Are you a medic?" She said and watched Ryan scratch his head.

"Yes, I´m, pretty obvious, huh?" He asked back and smiled.

"As a nurse I see that." She simply replied and recognized how Ryan raised an eye-brow in surprise.

"Really? You too? Man, I never thought there are so many in your team."

"What did you expect? We´re made for Back up, of course there has to be a lot of us."

"True. So you want to take a look on your friend in there?" He asked curious but Angela shook her head.

"Not exactly, I was going to ask Paul if he could take a look at Julia. She seems to be sick and I hoped he could do something for her to make her feel better." Angela answered and Ryan´s face lit up immediately.

"I think Paul needs some more time but if you want I can take a look at her." He offered and Angela giggled.

"If you want to but I have to warn you, she´s really annoying when she´s sick, prepare yourself that she might get really pissed on you." Angela warned him but Ryan just shook his head.

"I don´t think she´s more annoying than the others I have to deal with every day. On the battlefield they´re all badasses but if they´re injured, I feel like I have to take care of little kids." He told her and grabbed his first aid kid.

"What´s the number of your friends room?" He asked as he was on the leave.

"309." Angela told him and with a smile and a wave of his right hand the Ranger left her to take a look at her friend.

Amused about the soldier Angela opened the door to the infirmary and stepped inside, already hearing her friends voices. Angela followed the voices and leered into the room her, two female teammates were in, arguing about the General´s plan.

"Would you please keep quiet? You only escaped two hours ago and you already want to put yourself in danger again?" Caroline sounded pretty desperate as she tried to convince her teammate to keep it easy.

"Don´t you get it Caro? I didn´t escape they let me go, it´s all part of their plan. Have you even listened to anything the General said?" Her friend yelled at her and shook her head in disbelief.

"Of course I listened to him but this plan is just so stupid. It´s obviously a trap, we all know that so why is the General sending them to the place you told us? They only get captured again." Caroline now yelled back and crossed her arms in defense.

"See? That´s why we have to be there, we need to give them any back up. I don´t trust the General anymore, his a selfish bastard, even Price said this. If he´s sending the whole 141 there, they got killed, that means Chris is going to die, do you really want to lose your boyfriend?" The blonde woman explained and Caroline looked down to the floor.

"I know that he could get killed but that´s not the point. I agree with you that they´ll need back up but without you. You should have some rest, Angela, Julia and I will take care of this." Caroline stated and looked into her friends eyes intensively as if to convince her with her look that she was right.

"I don´t think Julia´s in the right condition to help us." Angela suddenly joined the conversation and stepped, followed by her friends' surprised stares into the room.

"What do you mean?" Caroline asked surprised.

"She´s getting ill." Angela shortly answered and took a seat on the barrow.

"Really? I should go and check on her." Paul, the medic, who had his mouth closed till now and only listened to the women´s arguing said and stood up from his stool.

"That´s not necessary, Dunn takes a look at her."

"Dunn? Oh, you mean this cute man who was outside of the infirmary?" Her blonde friend asked and smiled widely.

"Yes, I asked him to check on her and he did." Angela replied smiling.

"Oh, someone fell for you again." Caroline shook her head and grinned, earning a shrug of shoulders from Angela.

"I didn´t do anything. I just talked to him." Angela said innocent but kept on smiling.

"That´s always what you do. You must have the right pitch of voice to drive every man crazy." Caroline stated and her friend began to laugh.

"Like an alluring mermaid from the Greek mythology." The blonde nurse laugh out but stopped immediately as a stabbing pain increased in her lower abdomen.

"I should probably not laugh right now." She said but kept on smiling.

"That´s a wise decision." Paul told her and handed her some pain killers. "Take these if the pain gets too much."

"Thanks Pauly." The nurse answered and grinned as Paul raised his eye-brows in annoyance.

"Don´t call me that. You know that I hate it. Reminds me of this ridiculous TV-Show." The medic reminded her and felt a shiver run down his spine as he thought about this stupid reality show.

"Well, I think this was enough chick flick for now. Any ideas how we could help them out without giving the General the chance to stop us?" Angela asked and looked at her friends, waiting for any good ideas.

Her three teammates seemed to think deeply about what they could do to support the 141 but none of them had the slightest clue what they could do. Angry Caroline cursed, there had to be something they could do. The 141 would leave in two hours and they needed a good plan. Caroline wondered why the whole 141 wasn´t complaining about the General´s plan, Caroline saw their shocked and angry faces as the General revealed that he was the one responsible for Price´s capture and that it was his entire fault that the nurse died. Some of them even told the General what a wanker he was and that he didn´t deserve to be in charge any more. So why did they follow his orders? Why were they ready to give their lives for him? Why did they leave the safe base and go to the location Chrissy had told them Makarov wanted them to meet? This was clearly a trap, who knew if Makarov was really there? What if they go there and got killed from toxic gas? What if they all got captured and tortured? Caroline didn´t even want to think about that; she would never forgive herself if something would happen to Chris. To Caroline it was clear that the four of them didn´t have the slightest chance to come up with a good plan and so she suggested they should meet with the rest of their team and together think about a plan. All other three agreed with her and were ready to leave the small room.

"You sure you can walk?" Caroline turned around to see her newly freed teammate limp towards her.

"If it gets too hard you can carry me." Her friend teased with a smile and passed Caroline as fast as she could.

"At least your mouth isn´t hurt. You wouldn´t be the same if you couldn´t talk anymore." Caroline answered and earned two middle fingers from her teammate.

Caroline shook her head and followed Angela and Paul. It was good that Chrissy was back.
