CHAPTER 43
Sheldon and Amy climbed up the stairs to the room he had booked for them. When the couple was right outside the door, Amy stood on tiptoes to reach Sheldon's height. She tenderly wrapped her arms around Sheldon's neck and asked him:
"Sheldon, are we playing to… the best man who seduces the maid of honor and takes advantage of her? Because if so ... this is very sexy" Amy smiled suggestively, fiddling with her hair.
"Well, not exactly. You know how my mind works, and the way it flies from one thought to other. I've been thinking that you and I never had a wedding night, so to speak." Sheldon gently leaned to kiss Amy on her neck. Amy blushed as she felt that kiss sending an electric shock to her entire body.
"But that's an issue which could be easily fixed" Sheldon continued speaking, while he opened the door to the Honeymoon suite.
"Sheldon!" Amy was greatly surprised to see the room. It was cozy but elegant, decorated with beige and white tones, full of lilies and roses and dimly lit by the light of candles. Definitely, this was a surprise that Amy never anticipated. "Honey, you shouldn't have spent so much on this. This is so beautiful, but you shouldn't…".
"Shhh!" Sheldon kindly shushed Amy.
"I think in these cases the groom must carry the bride in his arms when they enter the room. That's the social convention" Sheldon insisted on carrying Amy to cross the threshold of the door. He stretched his arms towards her.
"Seriously? Do you think you can do it? I'm not so thin." Amy joked , while playing with Sheldon's bow tie .
"Do you doubt me? Let me show you what I can do!" Suddenly, Sheldon carried Amy across the threshold, with a little more effort than he expected. He isn't used to employ his physical strength instead of his intellectual power.
After a few steps, Sheldon gently put Amy on the bed, over a white and soft duvet. Sheldon closed the door, and then he sat next to Amy on the bed.
"You really surprised me. I've never expected this. Thank you, Sheldon! " . Amy brought her lips to his in a sweet kiss, which in a matter of seconds reached a great intensity.
When Sheldon recovered his normal breathing rate he started saying: "I've done some research and… I came to the conclusion that you would consider this is all very romantic. I just wanted to please you. Also, I have the intention to make this a memorable night for both of us. It's been a long time since we spent a moment alone." Sheldon admitted. "I need you" he sighed.
"Yes, you're right! I need you too. I'll me make it up to you. You'll see!" Amy giggled happily as she ruffled Sheldon's hair.
"Amy, wait a minute! There's something more." Sheldon sternly remarked.
"Something … more? Why are you acting so mysterious tonight?" Amy asked him, not knowing what he was about to do or say.
Sheldon cleared his throat as he took his girlfriend's hand and staring into her eyes, he began to say:
"Amy, you know me, like no one else does. You've been with me in the best and worst moments. You princess… have met the man I used to be. You've met the old Sheldon, the one who didn't care about anybody else but himself. That man who escaped from his own life for fear of feeling exposed, of feeling vulnerable." Sheldon softly caressed Amy's face.
"Amy, for you… I'm a different man today. I'm a man that's able to feel this ... indefinable and endless love that I feel. For you and for Nicholas, I am able to do things I've never thought I could do." Sheldon's eyes were shining like little ponds of clear water; his eyes looked brighter than ever with the soft amber glow of the candlelight. "For the record… this isn't some line of a movie. This is… just me".
Sheldon gently caressed Amy's left hand, with emphasis on her ring finger, rubbing it tenderly with his thumb. Amy inhaled very deeply; she had the feeling that something significant was about to happen.
"Sheldon, you know that… from the day I met you, I've done nothing but loving you. Although, at first, it seemed as if we were so distant from each other; something inside me told me that you and I would be together. We belonged to each other and I'm glad I didn't give up!" Tears of joy ran down Amy's cheeks.
"No Amy, don't cry! I just want you to be happy. I want you to be always happy and… always by my side. I have a purpose in my life: I want to see you smile every day." Sheldon got up from the bed and he knelt at Amy's feet while he dried her tears with his thumb. Still looking at her, he pulled that blue velvet box from his pocket.
"Oh Dear Lord! I think I should get on one knee while I do this. You know… that's the social protocol" Sheldon smiled nervously. "Is… is it better?" He asked Amy.
"Sheldon… Love what are you doing?" Amy's heart was beating frantically. She covered her mouth with her hand timidly.
"Amy, you're my first girlfriend. You're the first and the only love of my life. We had our first real kiss ... together and we shared our ... first time. You gave me our child. I could never put into words what you mean to me." Sheldon sighed deeply, filling his lungs with air, before he continued with his confession.
"All that I know is ... I'm sure I want to share with you, every first time that I have left in my life and… not just the first times, but the second or the third times and when the moment comes, my last times". Sheldon opened slowly that blue velvet box he guarded for over a year, waiting for the right time.
"Sheldon ... I" Amy couldn't say another word.
"Amy Farrah Fowler… Will you marry me?" Sheldon took that ring between his fingers. That ring had been his secret, since long time ago; even before Nicholas was born. Carefully Sheldon took Amy's left hand and placed the ring on her finger. It was a gold ring with a single diamond, glowing wonderfully on Amy's hand. The ring fitted perfectly.
"Yes Sheldon! Yes, I will marry you! I love you so much." Amy grabbed Sheldon by the collar and gave him a passionate kiss on the lips.
"I know that a diamond is simply a metastable allotrope of carbon, with strong covalent bonds between its atoms, but I thought you'd like it and… it seems that I was right." Sheldon smiled innocently. "I knew you wanted to marry me, as I wanted to marry you. Although you always denied it, although you never confessed it … your eyes said something different." Amy snuggled in Sheldon's arms.
"Today, for instance, at Penny and Leonard's wedding, I confirmed that you wanted to experience the same, but you didn't tell me. I want to live with you forever and… you deserve a wedding. I want to make you happy." Sheldon giggled adorably. "Besides, you caught the bride's bouquet".
"Sheldon, I'm already happy. With you and our Nicky, I'm extremely happy." Amy hugged Sheldon. She loved the way the corners of his lips curled into the sweetest smiles. She knew the love she had for him was immeasurable. "Sheldon, I can't promise that we'll never have problems, sometimes life will get in our way… but I can assure you that I'll fight forever for you, for the love we have." She finally kissed him.
Sheldon didn't need words to say that he shared the same wish with Amy. He felt extremely free when he was with her.
Sheldon could just feel, without thinking. He let his heart and soul escape from the mind control he generally imposed on them. His hands were well aware of the way they wandered on Amy's body; they knew by heart every valley and every corner of his beloved Amy. Sheldon knew how to trigger her most exciting reactions. He could release a sea of endorphins in her bloodstream. Always.
Despite the time they had spent together, Amy still felt the same electric shock with the slightest touch of Sheldon's fingers. They both kept that naïvety, that innocence, every time they saw their naked bodies, free from the interference and safety of clothing.
Amy's skin instantly recognized Sheldon's touch; she shivered as his hands gently caressed her breasts, her belly, her thighs. His mouth and his hands teased her in extremely exciting areas disappearing in her softness.
Amy felt Sheldon's chest rising and falling with increasingly random pace, his breathing was heavy and her moans, shyly accelerated the pulsating tension that was building up in him .
Sheldon's kisses were sweet and at the same time, desperate and full of urgency. Urgency to get to that point of maximum pleasure as soon as possible; but contradictorily he wished this exquisite agony could last for a few minutes more, for a few hours, or perhaps for a lifetime.
Sheldon incredibly enjoyed the moment, when… lost in Amy's green eyes; he sank in her seductive warmth. Just like the first time Sheldon was trembling slightly, feeling her; she was always inviting as she spasmodically contracted around him with every movement of his body, with every thrust.
With her breathing becoming shallow, her whole body was more sensitive to his touch, and those inevitable moans escaped from her throat, time and time again. Amy gripped the sheets like she was afraid of falling, of drowning at the time that orgasm surprised her with one, with two, with several spasmodic, convulsive jolts.
Sheldon struggled to delay his own finish and tried to perpetuate that moment, until everything around him was dark. He felt his body was no longer his. A deep growl left his throat, as he fell almost unconscious, with that familiar feeling of freedom, of bliss. Pure and primitive ecstasy, but at the same it was extremely meaningful.
A sunbeam inopportunely filtered through the curtains, early in the morning. Amy was dazzled with the light. The silky sheets partly covered her nudity; Sheldon's arms were still around her, embracing her warmly.
It was eight o'clock and Amy knew they had to go back to reality, despite how enjoyable their little adventure was, they had a son who surely missed them.
"Ummm" Sheldon groaned softly when he was waking up.
"Sheldon! We have to go home, I want to see Nicky" Amy whispered sweetly in his ear.
"Mhmm! Yes, but first ... shower and breakfast, in that order. I'm covered in sweat and starving." Sheldon smiled as he cuddled with Amy.
"Okay, today I'm going to do what my husband wants." Amy laughed, stretching her hand to look at her engagement ring. It was simple, elegant and beautiful… just like Amy.
"It's amazing how a tiny piece of coal can make you so happy." Sheldon admitted.
"I'm not happy because of this diamond. I'm happy for all it represents…" Amy brought her lips to Sheldon's lips. "It represents Eternity" she said.
"Amy, I would like to show you something" Sheldon took his wife's hand and gently pulled the ring out from her finger, regardless of her astonishment.
Sheldon looked inside the ring, and he asked Amy to read the inscription on the jewel.
"I don't understand it. This kind of writing is unknown to me." Amy thought for a few seconds. In fact, it seemed that she'd seen a similar inscription before. "Is this ... elvish?" Amy asked befuddled.
"Ash Nazg durbatulûk, ash Nazg gimbatul, ash Nazg thrakatulûk agh burzum-ishi krimpatul." Sheldon told her, smiling. He laughed seeing how puzzled Amy was.
"It is actually written in the language of Mordor: One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them". Sheldon laughed again. "This is the One Ring inscription… from The Lord of the Rings. Sorry, I couldn't help it." Sheldon blushed. "You can choose our wedding rings".
"I really, really think… this is so romantic!" Smiling from ear to ear, she hugged Sheldon. "Aw, I love you more and more each day; and the velvet box that came with the ring is ... TARDIS blue!" . Amy seductively winked her eye.
"Yes, indeed! Vixen!" Sheldon kissed her again, leaving her breathless.
A.N: Okay, I know you probably had a Shamy overdose reading this, but I really can't help it!
I had to use the One Ring inscription, I love it!
I hope you enjoyed this chapter as I enjoyed writing it.
